The Necklace

Aphmau's POV

BEEP BEEP BEEP

I shoot up, started by the screeching sound of my alarm clock. I smile, excited to give the gift to Garroth. I didn't get the chance to yesterday, so WOOHOO! I jump out of bed, over to my drawer. I grab a pair of black converse of the ground. I find a lilac tank top and some white shorts. Honestly, no one really cares about the dress code anyway. I stuff my backpack with homework from last night. I've been working on a song for the audition for Little Shop Of Horrors. I really hope the judges like it! Just then, I get a text from Aaron.

Aaron - Do you need someone to drive you school?

Aphmau - I haven't had the chance to take driving lessons, so sure! *texts address*

Aaron - I'll be there in 10 min.

Aphmau - Kk see ya then!

Aaron and I hung out a bit ever since I talked to him the other day. It turns out the guy didn't really have any friends and listened to music by Fall Out Boy, Panic! At The Disco, and My Chemical Romance. I love that music, but I honestly prefer Vocaloid. Aaron's music sort of inspired the song for the audition. I walk to the bathroom, comb my raven black hair, and brush my teeth. The doorbell rings, startling me. I sprint over to the mahogany door and open it. Aaron stands there with red aviators placed over his eyes and a dark hoodie on as usual. He shoots a small smile at me.

"Ready to go?" he asks.

"Yeah sure," I smile at him. I quickly glance back at the empty home. I look at his sleek black convertible. "How did you get this kind of car?"

"I work of course," Aaron says, as I climb into the passenger seat. I open my bag to see the present for Garroth neatly wrapped in royal blue paper. "Who's that for?"

My face heats up. "I-it's for a friend!" I stutter.

"Mmhmm," he hums, "so, who's this 'friend?'"

"G-garroth," I answer, "I needed to apologize to him about something,"

"You know," Aaron says, "not just any friend would get that kind of gift," He grins, causing my face to redden even more than before.

~~~Time Skip~~~
I stroll in through the front gate of the school with Aaron. He turns to me.
"See you later," he says, then walks in the other direction. I hear a little squeal from behind me. It's Kawaii Chan, who seems so excited about something.
"Kawaii Chan?" I ask, "Are you ok?"
"AARMAU!" she yells at the top of her lungs.
"Huh?" I question. Then I put two and two together, then realized she just made a ship name. "KAWAII CHAN NO!"
"At first Kawaii Chan just shipped garmau, but now there's this!" she rambles. "Its like half and half milk, aarmau's the milk and garmau's the cream!"
I blush hearing the word garmau. I know exactly what she's talking about. "KAWAII CHAN THOSE TWO THINGS AREN'T REAL!" I yell back, but something deep down was denying one of them.
"Why are you two yelling?" a voice asks behind me. I turn around and see the blonde boy himself.
"Kawaii Chan will leave you two alone," she singsongs. While walking away, I can hear her humming "My Heart Will Go On" from the Titanic. Garroth gives a questioning look, but seems to immediately except how weird she is.
"Hi!" we both say at the same time. We laugh awkwardly, but then resume our "conversation."
"I got you something," Garroth says. I jump in surprise.
"I got you something too," I speak to him, "I wanted to apoligi-" I get cut off.
"No, it should be me apologizing," he sighs. "I didn't mean to be rude like that,"
"It was my fault for nagging," I say, looking up at him. "I'm sorry."
"Me too," He concludes, taking out a purple box. "Here's the present," I slowly open the lid to see what could be inside. I was taken aback. It was a golden necklace with a fire-shaped icon that had a ruby in the middle.
"G-garroth," I stutter, looking at the magnificent piece of jewelry, "Your crazy to get me something like this!"
"I'm not going to take it back, it's yours now," Garroth says smiling. He takes the necklace out and clips it around my neck.
"Well, mine's nothing compared to your gift," I say, scratching my head. I put my backpack on the ground and get out the wrapped present. I hand it to him. The wrapping is torn off and now reveals the sketch I drew of him. He gaps at the paper.
"You made this?" he asks. I nod my head. "This is amazing!"
My face burns up. "I tried, I wish it could be better," I say, looking at the ground. Suddenly, I feel a pair of arms around me.
"Thank you," Garroth says, hugging me. We separate, then he looked as if he was hit with the realization that he just hugged me abruptly. "I-I u-umm..." He face turns a bright red.
"See you in history class Garroth!" I say, skipping away in pure happiness. I giggle to myself. That was the most clique moment of my life!
