Ha, brother's in love. Pains me to say this, but she's the only way Garroth will ever listen.

Aphmau, that's her name.

Magic exists in this world, everyone thinks it's just a kids dream. It isn't, and it's not pretty. Only few unlock it, but many people have it. Let's go down the list of about, 5 people I know of.

3. Kawaii Chan
4. Garroth
5. Aphmau

Of course Garroth would be attracted to a magic user like himself. Pathetic. I may not have magic, but my mother's essence does. Just a drop in some water and your mind, you can make anything. The Stranger curse, Potent Amnesia, you name it, it's possible. Poor them, they have to face something they don't understand. Me.

Garroth's POV

*Friday morning*

I wake up in my special room in Laurance's house. He understands why I don't like to go to my house, it's insane there. I get up and get in blue and white plaid flannel over a white T-shirt. I wear some jeans and black sneakers and I'm ready to go. Laurance and I wait at the bus stop, when he asks me a question.

"Do you like Aphmau?"

"W-what do you mean?" I stutter

"I mean do you have a crush on her," he smirks as my face heats up. "That answers it," Laurance chuckles as I punch his arm.

*time skip to history class*

As we get a lecture on Enki the Keeper, a slip from the office comes in. The teacher picks it up and walks over to me.

"Go to the office at lunch," she whispers to me, giving me the paper. I nod and look up to see Aphmau staring at me.

She mouths to me 'what was that about?'

I mouth back, 'nothing important' I give her a weak smile and she nods, looking away. What could that be about?

*time skip to lunch*

I walk over to the office and see a paper bag with my name on it. I pick it up and read the note on the back

Dear Garroth,
Forgot your lunch!

Cadenza

Shoot, I did! Cadenza's out sick today, I hope she gets better. That was really it? I look inside the bag and see a pb&j sandwich and a water bottle that's- wait red? Why is the water red? Another note.

Aphmau saw the fruit punch I had yesterday and asked what it was, so I got her some!

Oh yeah! She was asking about that, that's so sweet of Cadenza. I'll give it to her. I walk out and run over to the table we all sit at. I stroll over to Aphmau and tap her shoulder.

"H-hey Aph," I say nervously, "Cadenza is out sick today, so she gave me this for you!"

"Omi, the punch!" Aphmau says cheerfully, "Thank you!" She gives me a gigantic hug, which turns me into a temporary tomato. She lets go and I speed walk over to Dante and Laurance. Before I can speak, I hear coughing. It gets louder and louder. I turn around and see Aphmau, pale as a ghost. She's about to fall to the floor, when I grab her just before she hits the ground. I would be blushing if I was in different circumstances. I run her over to the nurse.

Nothing matters right now, only Aphmau.
