"Lukeim Yurlin!" Sorey and Dezel called out, using the Armatus. Edna and Mikleo entered Sorey and Dezel became Sorey's clothing. Sorey was in his usual attire, but it had green accents this time. He was also floating off the ground. On his back were eight, green daggers. They floated in the air. And helped Sorey stay in the air. The Hellion roared in anger, but was slowly losing ground. "So this is the Armatus!" Dezel said in both Rose and Sorey's head in fascination. "Hey Rose. If a Hellion has scales, would you call it a Scallion?" Lailah asked the red head. "Wait, what!?" Rose questioned the Prime Lord. As the Shepherd's group started fighting back against the Dragonewt, Velvet's group was losing major ground, even if it's a 6 vs. 1! "Damn it! This thing gave us a hard time last time as well!" Rokurou grunted, throwing aside one of his broken daggers and pulling out a new one. "Its defenses is too high." Eizen said, cradling his right fist that was severely bruised.

"How do we lower its defenses?" Eleanor asked, circling then Hellion with Velvet on the other side. Magilou then came up with an idea. "That's it!" she yelled, running into the battle. "Hope this works!" Magilou said with a smile, starting an Arte. The Hellion just regarded her with interest. "Aqua Split!" she yelled, shooting off an arrow that hit the Hellion and branching off. Nothing happened, but a purple tint appeared on the creature. "Ah ha!" Magilou said with a smirk. "Magilou! What did you do!?" Eleanor asked, shocked. "Poisoned it! It may be a very defensive creature, but that doesn't mean it can't receive afflictions!" she answered. And just like that, they started applying more status ailments that do damage. Eleanor, Velvet, Eizen and Rokurou would distract the creature while Magilou and Laphicet would cast Artes at the creature, either burning it or poisoning it. It made a weird noise, but sounded enraged. Both groups were fighting, doing as much damage as possible.

Finally, Rose punched the Dragonewt in Edna's Armatus, sending it crashing to the ground. The Crystal Hellion looked exhausted. The Dragonewt turned into a small dog with a blue ascot around his neck. "A dog Seraph?" Mikleo questioned. "Good work out there." Sorey praised with a smile. That's when Rose looked to be in pain and lurched forward. "Rose!?" Sorey questioned worriedly. Rose fell to her knees. "Ro-!" "Hey! Pull yourself together!" Dezel yelled, rushing towards the girl, interrupting Sorey. He caught the girl before she fell. "Did you think it was Rose? It's me." Rose said, but it was Edna's voice. Dezel then let hr fall as Edna left Rose's body. "Leave her alone, you maniac!" Dezel yelled at the younger Seraph. "You're quite attached to her, I see." Edna said in a patronizing voice. Velvet's group approached them with the Hellion wrapped in a rope. They watched the interaction. "What are you after!?" Dezel yelled in anger.

"Oh, nothing really..." Edna said with a smirk. "Just making sure it is clear to EVERYONE why you wanted to become Sub Lord." It was silent after that. Velvet watched Sorey's expression as he just gave an uncomfortable smile. "Shepherd... I can explain." Dezel said. "I understand, Dezel." Sorey said with a sincere smile. "Listen!" Dezel snapped at Sorey. "It seems there is some sort of agenda you want to accomplish with the Armatus, Dezel." Lailah deduced. "That's right, and I'm using you all for my goal. Deal with it." Dezel snapped back, harshly. "Reminds me of Velvet before her change." Eleanor snickered. The Therian blushed in embarrassment. "What is it you want, then?" Mikleo questioned. "Revenge." Dezel said in a dark tone. "Now he REALLY reminds me of Velvet!" Rokurou laughed. Velvet smacked his head. "Against the Hellion who killed my friend, tarnished the name of the Windriders, branded them as criminals..." Dezel growled in anger.

Everyone looked at him with sympathy. "... and forced them to live out the rest of their lives in secrecy as an assassin guild." Dezel said in a dark tone. Everyone turned their heads to look at the red haired girl in surprise. "Oh yeah? Well you're welcome to come along then! We love quelling Hellions!" Sorey said with a smile. Dezel just grunted and said "You mean saving them in other words. Does that sound like revenge to you?" Dezel said, 'looking' at them with a bored expression. "You're out to kill them!?" Mikleo asked in horrified shock. Dezel just grunted in reply. "Lailah, how could you invite someone like him to become a Sub Lord!?" Mikleo questioned. "Because of how he is." Lailah replied instantly. "Dezel is consumed by vengeance, yet hasn't turned into a Hellion... because he has a vessel that cannot be corrupted by malevolence." Lailah explained. "Rose." Sorey said, finally realizing. "I get it. If Rose were to accompany by herself..." Mikleo said, trailing off. Everyone looked back at Dezel.

"... Dezel would lose his pure vessel, and before long, his lust for revenge would turn him into a Hellion." Mikleo explained. "Don't make me laugh. I would rather die than become the same corrupted being that as the one who wronged me. You folks forced my hand." Dezel said with anger. "And yet, you stand with the Lord of Calamity and her accomplices. Only two of them have been corrupted with Malevolence, the other four are perfectly fine." Velvet replied, stepping into the conversation. "She's right. The domain she has made as the Lord of Calamity is more powerful than Heldalf's, meaning she is more powerful than Sorey. Yet, Sorey is fine." Lailah explained. "Getting back on topic... Dezel, something tells me you don't seem to bent out of shape on joining Sorey." Edna explained. Dezel grunted in reply. "I won't deny that. It did give me a sense of the true power of the Armatus, after all." He replied with a neutral tone. "I understand your reasoning." Sorey said, shocking Velvet and her crew.

He's finally understanding why death is a salvation, Velvet questioned herself in shock. "But if you're going with us, then you can't be acting like a lone wolf." Mikleo said back. Dezel just smirked. "Don't worry. I'll work with you. I'm a crummy Seraph, but I'm still a Seraph. I've got no reason to oppose the Shepherd." He told the younger Seraph. "True." Mikleo said, finally giving a small smile. "Just... one thing. Keep what I told you a secret from Rose. She believes that she has come this far with her own ability, without the need from anyone else's help." Dezel asked them. "Dezel..." Lailah said with a soft voice. "Well, that's that. Now we're all best buds, right?" Edna asked, jumping into Rose and forming the Armatus. "Woah! Edna!" Eizen yelled at her. "Don't toy with her! Just make sure she is alright!" Dezel growled. "She's fine. She just passed out from shock." Edna said in a low and dangerous voice.

"I think you tossing her around on the floor like that is what did it." Edna mocked. Dezel just grunted as a reply. "Why don't we rest here until Rose wakes up? It also looks like the other Seraph still hasn't awoken yet." Lailah asked. "Great idea! But, Sorey, mind purifying this Hellion?" Eleanor asked. "Why can't you?" Sorey asked, confused. "I haven't purified Hellions before. Purifying Eizen was a stroke of luck on my part. Every time we defeated an enemy back then, Velvet would eat them. So, I'm asking you on behalf of the Abbey-" Velvet cleared her throat and sent a raised eyebrow at the embarrassed girl. "I mean! On behalf of The Lady Calamity, please purify this being." Eleanor begged. "Sure! Lailah?" Sorey asked the Prime Lord, who nodded with a smile. Sorey and Lailah made their way to the creature and used the Silver Flames to purify the Hellion. All that was left behind were two swirling rainbow coloured orbs. "Iris gems!? They were corrupted!?" Mikleo questioned. "Let's see what's inside them when Rose wakes up." Magilou asked, regarding the two orbs with a careful and curious eye.

So everyone went in separate directions. Eizen and Edna moved to the side of the corridor, away from people and were in a heated discussion. Velvet and Laphicet took the opportunity to sleep. Velvet was sitting against the wall with her head on her raised knee and Laphicet laid down right beside her. Both of them smiled with a hand clasped in the other's. Eleanor and Magilou took the time to speak with their respective Normin, trying to get the details of this place. Rokurou sat next to Lailah and Mikleo, who were watching both unconscious characters. Dezel stood off to the side, having a heated discussion with Sorey. After what felt like hours, Velvet opened her eyes in a sleepy daze, only to find both the dog Seraph and Rose awake and everyone staring at her. "Bad dreams Lady Calamity?" Magilou asked with a smirk. Velvet smiled, remembering the dream she had with Celica and Artorius. "Not at all."

"Well! You ready Velvet?" Sorey asked, taking out an Iris gem. "Bring it." Velvet said with a smile. And just like that, the orb shined.
