B- rethink what you're doing

A crack of thunder lights up the night sky as chat is sent flying out of my window.
another low growl slips passed my lips and I smile. suddenly I'm pulled back at what I just did.
"What the hell??? what am I doing? I ask myself.
chat came to talk, maybe even provide some answers and what do I do?
I take on of his nine lives and leave him with eight.

I look out the night and see a dark figure hunched over on the next building.
"Chat?!?!"  without even thinking I'm running to my window and jump.
the cold rain rushes pass me as a practically fly over to the next building.
As I land I look over and see chat hunched over and clutching his chest. gasping for air.

"Chat..im sorry I don't know what....what came-"
I can't finish, not before my blood begins to boil all over again. chat stands and holds his hand up.
"No no it's ok, trust me I've had...worse?"
he questions as he looks up at me.
I can feel the sting of my gums as my new teeth grow in. My face stretches as I lower myself on all fours.
" Oh crap," chat says jumping back.

Without thinking I leap forward and plant my fist into the ground.
The cracking of thunder overhead roaring with every breath I take.
"Hey hey hold on a second, I didn't come to fight" Chat screams as he pulls a silver staff from behind him.
His ring shimmers in the darkness, a light green flickers.
"No no not yet, just hold on a little longer!!" he screams.
I take another step one after another until I'm sprinting.
Swinging my claws wildly, all I can think about is...tearing him apart.

Chat ducks and weaves under almost every hit.
Before I know it Im planting the soul of my foot into his stomach, sending him falling off the roof.
"stop"
I manage to mutter out.
I try to fight my body but it won't listen.
I force my legs to stand still but with every step, I feel as if thousands of glass shards are tearing and ripping me apart.
"I said stop"

I crumble to the ground, the rain is standing still in my head as I try to fight back.
What is wrong with me???
I fell like my body on fire the longer I hold still.
A bright flash from down below catches my attention.
walking over I see him again. His white collared shirt stained red and torn.
I look down at my twisted hand and see the tint of red over my claws.
Please stop
I beg my body, but it falls on no one's ears.
I jump and feel the street crumble under me.
Chat or whoever he is without the mask looks back at me, eyes wide as he drags himself away.
And in his hand, I see something small and black.
I can't fight it, not anymore. with every step, the world goes red.
The rain finally thins out as I look down on him, my lips curled into a smile that I can't hide.
His eyes roll back and he falls back on to the gloaming streets.
I feel a chasm form in the pit of my stomach.
suddenly a new small pulls me away, I turn to see a small man with a red and black umbrella.
"I wouldn't eat that is I were you, you know where he's been"
In a flash of lightning, he's gone, his scent suddenly overshadowing chats.
I look down and he's right in front of me. a thin gray-haired Asian man with a grin.
I slam my claws down and crumble the street but he's gone.
"Ah the young, always so reckless"
His voice comes from my right but before I can move I feel his hand chop under my chin, and the world fades to black.

before I know it the world seems to be falling back in to place.
The crazy day and chat flying out my window, and that small Asian man.
"Ah good your awake, I was hoping we get to talk more."
I turn to see that small again man sipping what might be tea in the rain.
I try to turn but find my self locked down.
These clack chains wrapped around me.
"What's going on?" I ask.
The man looks away and then back at me.
"I'm sorry but I can't say much right now, but in time you will know more."
He walks over to chat, his body still on the street.
The man reaches down and Bright sparks of green and yellow and black fill the air.
Suddenly I feel my mind scream to fight, to run far away, to bite the man head off. I hold tight and feel my body shake.
As the sparks fade and he rises up I see a ring black it draws what little light there is into it.
"Hold still please," The man says with a smile.
I fight even harder as the ring slides down my finger.
Carving glow bright green as the ring tightens itself on to my finger.
And then..bliss.
No pain no anger, just bliss.
I look down to see the claws shrinking back into my hand, the sharp jagged edges of my teeth growing dull again.
The man pulls a key and unlocks my chains. A cold rush fills my lungs as if I'm breathing for the first time.
I feel a hand on my shoulder and lookup.
The small Asian man stands over me and points back at chat.
"he is your responsibility now, they both are."
And like before, A flash of lightning lights up the night sky and he's gone.
No man, no chains no nothing.
But in my hand, I feel something.
I look to see a small scrap of paper at reads. "He must not know"
"He??? chat???" I ask myself.
I look back at the ring on my hand and wonder....What the actual fuck is going on???
