Untitled Part 2

Prologue

Once upon a time...hold it! This isn't a "Once upon a time" type story. It's a dangerous tale that might not even have a happy ending. This treacherous story concerns five kids, all about the age of twelve. Their names are Nick, Julia, Robbie, RJ, and Liz. They didn't know it yet, but soon they would embark on the greatest journey of their lives. Geeze, this is so exaggerated. Other than that last sentence.

Chapter 1

Meeting The Ones Who Will Risk It All

In the past there were many heroes who were demigods, you will discover the story of five adventurous young heroes-to-be and some of their friends! Now, RJ is elsewhere, so nothing about him for now.

The first two kids we're going to talk about are Nick and Julia. They used to have dyslexia, but now it was much better because they worked at it a lot. They were living in an orphanage in the Northern Suburbs of Chicago. There, they were treated well, and were able to go out whenever they pleased. It was always good weather there, and the sun always shone toward them. The streetlights illuminated many cheery little cottages full of beautiful flowers. The exhilarating scent was almost intoxicating. And yet, within all of this pleasure, there was distress among them.

They were best friends because no one else accepted Nick's strange love of water and Julia's weird smarts. Nick always wore jeans or shorts with a blue or water-related t-shirt. He had sandy hair and sea green eyes, which looked like they had become a part of the sea when he was relaxed. He always had a tiny water gun on hand.

Julia was more fashionable. She would wear jeans or leggings with a fashionable top. She had dirty blonde hair and grey, stormy eyes that churned when she got angry, like a lightning storm. They became electric grey and flashed every time she spoke. She always had a satchel with books and other precious things contained in it.

They would always talk when Nick was swimming in the local pool and Julia on the side of the pool reading books. Every night they both dreamed of a place they could have more friends, and be accepted and normal and where they could go on amazing adventures like the ones Julia read in her books. They would always figure out puzzles and would splash in rain puddles when it did rain.

One day at the local pool, Nick (after cannonballing into the water) asked Julia a question that was always on his mind.

"Do you think we belong here?"

Julia sighed.

"No. I think we belong in a place where we are surrounded by people like us. Surrounded by people who will accept us. Surrounded by people who love us. Surrounded by ... by family." She finished slowly and sadly, trying to remember her parents.

"Woah...that's deep." said Nick, staring into the pool. "Do you think we'll ever find the place where we belong?" Nick inquired.

"Hopefully, one day, we will." Julia replied softly.

"Julia, have you ever thought of running away from here? I mean, wouldn't that be best for us?" Nick asked again, not taking the hint that Julia was tired and didn't want to talk about this anymore. She sighed again, more deeply.

"Yes, Nick. I have thought about it, and, as a matter of fact I think It's a great idea." she finished, looking up at the sky. It was getting really dark so they headed to bed.

They would always be side-by-side, never leaving each other. They had the sort of bond that was unbreakable. They were always laughing and having fun, but feeling downcast and miserable, because they didn't belong at the same time. You could tell this about them by looking at them, from the outside in. While everyone else in the orphanage would vote for laser tag they would vote for the pool and occasionally Julia would vote for the library. They could never get anyone to talk to them, other than one girl, Sofi. She was amazing, and had cool ice powers. If one of them did try to talk with them, let's say with Julia, the conversation would go a lot like this.

"Hello," Julia walked up to her target and waved. Now if they were new at the orphanage, they would smile and try to talk with her, but if this person knew her, it would probably be like this-

"Hi, Julia," nervously they responded, slowly backing away. "You know, I actually have to... to... ," They finished then darted away. This was usually the way all conversations ended, besides the ones with Nick, Sofi, and certain adults. Also people thought they were delusional. Here's why: they never thought that anyone would adopt them, yet everyone knew that that was highly improbable, and that they kept seeing things like 'monsters' and 'faces in the clouds', even if everyone else knew that those were just animal shapes in the sky, and the monsters were just abnormally large animals. But they were too stubborn. Finally, one day, they broke.

"Nick, we're running away. Tonight. I can't stand this place and I need to get out of here." said Julia.

"YES! Ok, I'll pack our bags."

"Oh, no you don't. Each of us will pack our own bags, kelp head. Then later at night we sneak into the pantry and take most of the food. WE'll go into the cash register by the door. That's always loaded with cash. I have this really cool bag I want to show you, it'll be perfect." she decided. They packed their bags and realized it was 6:00, dinner time.

"No one will be at the front, they'll be having dinner, so in a few seconds I'll go down there and sneak all of the money from the register. You tell the rest of the people, or rather Sofi, because she's the only one who cares about either of us, that I'm not feeling good. While we're eating we'll tell her we're running away. She won't try to stop us, and I'll only be a few minutes. Bye." Julia said as they walked down the hall. Julia parted from Nick. A few seconds later she was in front of the cash register. She had always loved the thing, because she took free money out of it every few months. Now, she carefully, slowly opened it, until it was all the way open.

"Score!" she thought. Her eyes had landed on four hundred-dollar bills. Did they never clean this out? She took those first. She counted up the rest of the money, and there were a lot of twenties. Her guess was that they didn't clean out the thing that often. When she had left but a few nickels in the drawer, she counted up six-hundred dollars in cash. She put them in the pocket of her pull string bag, where all of the money quickly disappeared. She opened it and reached her hand in. She thought of the money and when she pulled out her hand it was holding six hundred dollars. She dropped the money back in. Then she walked into the kitchen where dinner was taking place. She sat down next to her best friends, or maybe even family. Nick was talking to Sofi when she walked up.

"Hey Julia? Nick says you're running away. Can you explain this?" Said Sofi.

"Oh... yeah. We're running away from here. I got six hundred from the cash register. You won't try to stop us, will you?" Julia asked.

"Nope. That won't be a problem. All that means is that I have to go back to my mom up north. Old Boreas the big guy gets mad if I'm not there for too long. In this case only about twelve years. I'll be watching you from up there!" She exclaimed, pointing to the sky. Then she covered her mouth in surprise. It was obvious that that statement had come out on accident.

"You're the daughter of the North wind?" asked Julia in a hushed tone.

"No, granddaughter. Daughter of Khione. Anyway, it was nice knowing you two. I hope I'll see you little trouble makers again soon. I'll leave with you tonight then escape under the cover of the dark. If that makes sense. You'll be needing food for your journey east. Your mom-" she said, looking at Julia " and your dad-" she pointed at Nick "Have told me to tell you that it's important that you get to the Long Island sound in New York. You'll find a taxi once you get to a strawberry farm. It's old and broken down. Climb the hill that's there and pass through the pines to safety." she said, and waved her hand, causing many different on-the-go meals to appear. "You'll also need supervision. A clip for each of you, from Chiron. He'll keep track of you like this. Easiest way east is a train, Nick, I doubt it'll be safe for you to take to the sky."

That night all three of them set out and Sofi disappeared into the night. They set out on a long journey east, with only three bags between them.

Now we go on to our next pair, Liz and Robbie. Now they lived in a orphanage on the perilous South Side of Chicago. Danger always lurked around each corner, as the few remaining streetlights only illuminated row after row of abandoned, rat-filled buildings. The broken streetlights stood like dead trees, only highlighting how dangerous the streets were. The sun almost never shone there, and if it did, it was hidden by murky clouds the second it came out. The people who ran the orphanage were always scared of kids going out. But with Liz and Robbie, the owners, psh! They were never scared of letting them out. They were fierce and had weapons stuffed under their mattresses and always had a weapon on hand. Robbie had a real Samurai Sword and Liz had guns. They were best friends because others were too afraid to get near them. They practiced sword fighting daily and wrestled weekly. Every month the owners let them go to a shooting range. Robbie had sandy, short hair and hazel eyes with a reddish tint. He wore shorts and a casual, sometimes violent t-shirt. He always had his Samurai Sword on his back and a dagger on his left side.

Liz had dark brown hair so dark it looked black, and same with her eyes. She wore black leggings or jeans and usually a dark shirt. Sometimes she would wake up and find gems on her bedside. Those, she put in a little pouch and zipped it up. Those were for emergencies. She always had two pistols and reloads on her special black leather belt that also held a dagger. They both loved battle and being under pressure, but they were teased about pretending things like 'monsters' and 'gods' were real. They did back off soon, and that was years ago, but the things stuck, and so did their depictions of things. When they saw a picture of hurricane Sandy once, both of them had yelled "There's a person in there! It looks like he's mad!" not that anyone believed them. In a place like this, it was obvious the surroundings would rub off on them. Sometimes they would take it to extreme levels, like once, Liz recalled, on a field trip to the sea.

"Hey! You!" Liz had called out to the face in the water. But, when she blinked, the man wasn't there anymore. She took her pistol and shot three times into the water. Something bubbled for a second, then three dead fish floated to the surface. Anger bubbled up inside her.

"Liz, what's wrong?" Robbie asked.

"There was a guy. In the waves. I blinked and he was gone. I'm so mad at this guy- That's him!" She pointed to a guy walking up the beach, with sandy hair, emerald green eyes, khaki shorts and a hawaiian button up shirt. She looked at him with surprise.

"Um... Liz, That guy looks familiar... where did we see him before?" They were not ones to forget a face. Their eyes widened and whisper-shouted at each other-

"That's the face from hurricane Sandy!" they almost fainted. They walked up to the guy and shook their hands in his face, because he kept walking like he didn't see them. They said "Hey you! Weren't you the guy who was in Hurricane Sandy?" He looked surprised.

"You can see me?" he said quietly.

"No, we can't we're talking to air. Of course we see you. Now care to tell us why you were in a hurricane?"

"Wait, kid, you look familiar. Both of you actually. What're your names?" he asked, confused.

"Liz Lukasz and Robbie Ridenour." Robbie answered for the both of them. The guy looked surprised, then relieved, then worried.

"You, my dear, are my niece. Nice to see you in person for once. Robert, oh my gods. Why must I be the one to discover you? Ok, both of you are very important and special in your own ways. You need to get to Long Island Sound. When you get to the strawberry farm, there'll be a hill. If you're being chased climb up the hill and pass through the pines the safety. Don't bother shooting. If you're not, you do the same thing. You don't know what the heck is lurking. Idiot brother" he said, looking to the ground as if there was someone down there. "Kid, nice aim. However, you killed something in my domain. Don't shoot where I just was there will always be a school of fish right there. Just don't do it anymore. Get there and you'll be safe."

"Why should we listen to you?" asked Robbie stupidly.

"Do I need to give you a reason? Then again, you have no idea who I am, do you?" he asked, muttering acient greek curses which they surprisingly understood. They gasped as they heard him mutter water in Greek and out of the dune came a splash of water like a column. It swept the guy off his feet and two smaller ones erupter under them and enveloped them. When they opened their eyes they saw bubbles flying towards them. They bunched together to create one huge bubble, whic emersed the both of them. The guy was opposite them, not in a bubble. He spoke. Water didn't come in.

"Don't worry, the Mist only lets the mortals see what they want to. So, they probaly see two lunatics talking to air." Robbie and Liz glared daggers at him. "Now do you know who I am?" He asked with a grin. They gaped and answered

"Poseidon"

That night when they got back they told the owners they were going for a walk. They got the wrong idea and said

"Yeah, just be careful. Rob, take Liz to some scary movie if you want to cuddle up for your first date." Robbie and Liz smacked their foreheads at the same time and said together

"We're not together!" but sighed and smuggled their bags through the door. Looking at each other, they grinned and ran.

They finally arrived to Camp Half-Blood and saw a dragon sleeping by a tree that had a glowing golden animal sweater over the lowest branch.

"That is the Golden Fleece. Percy Jackson, a son of Poseidon, brought that back to Camp from the Sea of Monsters. It restored the forcefield so monsters can not enter. Unfortunately, it also awoke a daughter of Zeus, Thalia, putting them both in danger." They walked into Camp Half-Blood with Billy, the satyr that had found them, but once he directed them to where Chiron would be. Robbie and Liz were astonished by what they saw! There was a lava rock-climbing wall, many weirdly decorated cabins, each with a theme, and a canoeing stream. Also a VERY messy mess hall, and a building called the Big House that probably was an old barn.

"My dear campers, that is the cabin for children of Hermes and children who have not been claimed by their godly parents yet! That is where you will be staying." says Chiron, a large centaur, pointing to a cabin down a hill. "I am Chiron, and you two must be Robbie and Liz!"

"Yes, we are!" says Liz.

"This is where you will be staying for the time being, until you are claimed, that is!" Chiron exclaims. Just then a few people walk by.

One was a teenage guy with dark hair and sea green eyes, the second was a pretty almost California stereotype teen girl with a blonde ponytail and sunglasses. But her eyes, as they saw when she took off her glasses, her eyes ruined the Cali girl image with little stormclouds thundering about in them. The third to walk by was another satyr, but he bleated and ran away to the nymphs. All wore orange shirts with black print and a pegasus on it.

"Hi!" Robbie says excitedly, but he was confused and stopped for a second, those eyes looked familiar.

"Oh, hello, you two must be new, I'm Percy, son of Poseidon, that's Grover, a satyr, who just ran away, and this is Annabeth, daughter of Athena!" announces Percy. They chatted for awhile, and Percy led Robbie away, while Annabeth did the same with Liz. Time goes by quickly as Robbie and Liz explore the camp with their new friends. After quite some time, a dinner bell rings.

"RING, RING, RING!!!" Robbie and Liz speed over to the mess hall. Then some goblets and plates magically appear and give them any food they ask, and any drink. The food and drinks were unlimited! What Liz and Robbie don't realize is that they have to make an offering before dinner to their godly parent. They both silently wished to be claimed by their godly parent. After dinner Chiron announces that Camp director, Mr. D. will sing a song!

The next morning two new campers come into the camp with Billy Goat. Their names are Nick and Julia. Chiron tells them they're demigods and Nick runs off a cliff shouting

"I'M AN AVENGER!!!" Just below, though, there is a river which stops his fall, and somehow he was unharmed. Robbie and Liz rush to meet them. When Julia comes in the safety force field, she helps build a stretcher for a sick person, and an owl appears above her head.

"You are a daughter of Athena!" Billy exclaims with joy. Julia is at a loss for words, so Nick, having a gift for gab, says,

"Congrats Julia, I always knew you were too smart!" Then another camper came and greeted Nick, Liz, Robbie, and Julia. His name is Nico, he said he was the son of Hades and Liz mentioned she wouldn't mind being a daughter of Hades. He had dark brown eyes like Liz's and black hair. Julia and Robbie took a good look at each other.

"Do I know you from somewhere?" they asked together.

"Nope, don't think so, your eyes look really familiar though." they said again.

"Stop! No, you stop! STOP! Stop copying me!" they chimed.

"OK, stop and say the most random thing you can think of! Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! SHUT UP!" They screamed at each other and stormed off in opposite directions.

"Hey, Liz, don't they look like siblings fighting?" asked Nick. She nodded silently.

One day later, while Nick was canoeing in the early morning with Julia on the shore reading, a monster came, grabbed Nick and dragged him under the water.

"Nick! Oh my gods!!!!!!" Julia screamed after the boat stopped

rocking back and forth on extreme waves. While Nick was under the water, he found that he could breathe just fine. The beast was like a centaur but with a fish tail. Nick wailed, but killed the beast with a nearby sharp rock under water, bashing its head with it, then slicing its chest open. It dissolved. He somehow manipulated the water to his will, he wanted to be back to her as fast as possible, bringing him to shore. Julia screamed and nearly threw her arms around him, but stopped in midair. She pulled her arms back quickly.

"Jules, do you know how easy it is to fool these monsters?" Nick asks her.

"NO. That looked like one heck of a fight from here." She responds.

A sea green, sparkling trident appeared over his head.

"Wow," Percy said, who had been watching Nick from shore feeling he was something special, "A son of Poseidon! That's very rare, even though I am one."

Julia shakes her head and congratulates him by saying,

"Congrats seaweed brain, I always knew you were too good in the water!" Percy came up to Nick and Julia when they had come to shore and said, "Hey! That's what Annabeth always calls me. Looks like all daughters of Athena think alike. Again, so says the famous expression, brilliant minds think alike. But anyway, hey bro! Welcome! I'll show you to the Poseidon cabin."

At dinner that night, Chiron announced that the following day would be the day of the capture the flag game. He said the rules are simple; take the other team's flag and bring it back to your own side. Two campers were allowed to be on guard. A few on the border. The rest in the woods. He said fighting was allowed, but no maiming. Robbie instantly liked the game. Chiron also said he would be the on-field medic and referee. He nudged Mr. D.

Mr. D sighed. "Well, I suppose I should say hello. Hello to all of you brats. Ok, well, Zeus said if I didn't introduce the four new campers today he would blast me into ashes, or make me stay here for another thousand years. Heck if I care. Ok, new campers! Julie Bagadonutz, Reggie Rignour, Lisa Wukash, and Nick Luckayer." Chiron leaned down to his ear and said something. "Ha! as if I cared. Ok, well, eh, wrong names. I don't pay attention enough to remember any of you brats' names, but it's Julia Bogdanowicz;" he paused and let Chiron tell him the next ones, "Robbie Ridenour, Liz Lukasz, and Nick Neumeyer. I'm sorry for getting your names wrong, blah blah blah. Go and get to your stupid campfire already."

There was a round of applause and the Athena cabin tossed Julia into the air for fun. Robbie glanced up and picked up his hand, waving aat her, and she stayed a half a second longer than she should have. No one seemed to notice but her, who glanced down like Why aren't I falling yet? She giggled, though.

At the campfire they sang songs about the silly mistakes of the gods when they were first ruling the universe, sitting around the fire on fat logs which served as chairs, and the fire soon turned purple because of all the noise being made. The four demigods began to feel a sense of home.

As Chiron said, the next day, a sunny, bright day, is the capture the flag game! Liz, Nick, Julia, and Robbie were all on the same team, strangely. Nick and Robbie were in charge of attacking and stealing the flag, while Liz and Julia were for border protection. The rest of the campers had to be hidden in the woods to help the four. As Robbie and Nick left, charging through the creek and onto the other side, Liz and Julia were charged by five campers coming out of the woods at once and were outnumbered.

Julia's wisdom and war strategics came into use this time. She grabbed Liz's arm and told her to run into the shadow, then go right back to where they were so that they were backing the enemy into the wall of trees. She did so, not even knowing what she was doing. It was like something had taken over her mind, but figuring she did it wrong, and they were suddenly behind the enemy, but they were there faster, and neither of them had the sensation of near exploding. Liz had a thought which she didn't know where it came from, that said there was just a glitch. They were fighting, and it was 1-1 and 4-1. Julia had claimed that she could handle all of the campers.

"Cream the dopes!" yelled Clarisse.

"Thought I smelled something bad." said Julia. Suddenly she screamed in pain, was it pain?

"NO MAIMING!" she yelled. Her whole arm was now red and wet. Both her arms were now numb, as she had tried holding her shield with each and gotten shocked with electricity both times with her spear. There was a thankfully not deep sword wound running down her arm. Julia searched the row of trees quickly, and finding the right tree, ripped off a part of the bark. "SORRY!" she yelled to the angry nymph emerging from the tree and began to gently dab the spongy bark gently to the wound. It quickly absorbed all the blood. One of Clarisse's ugly friends yelled

"Oops, sorry snowflake, guess you didn't dodge as fast as I thought you would. Guess I also lost my dessert privileges. Oh, well." he smirked. Julia, forgetting the piece of bark and clicking a pen she had in her hand for some reason then dropping that too, charged the camper and knocked his helmet with the flat of her blade, causing a loud bang and a fallen 14-year-old. She quickly swiped her foot to get the rest off guard, whilst knocking one in the chest and slicing the blue plume off the Clarisse's helmet and hitting the butt of her sword on her head really hard before she could touch the stupid electric spear. She fell into the creek.

The last one wasn't to eager to approach, and she realized it was a boy her age. She thought she had seen him before, Will was it? with his girlfriend Megan. She smirked and kicked him away, and ran to help Liz, who wasn't holding up very well because she had shadow traveled twice in a row, without knowing what she was doing. And, this being her first time even trying, she had nearly collapsed once the weird bust of energy she had when she hit the ground passed. Oh, well.

While they were fighting, Nick and Robbie were engaging on the other team's flag! Percy, Nico, and Annabeth were on guard, which was totally not allowed! Robbie scampered up a tree, and yelled, getting all of their attention, but only Percy and Annabeth came to the bottom of the tree. Robbie smirked, thinking, Good enough. He nimbly hopped down from the branch he was on and accidentally ended up riding Percy piggy-back. Percy flipped him off his back. Robbie was now fighting an extreme battle, with two 17-year-olds on either side of him, advancing. Robbie gives out a frustrated sigh and mentally slapps himself in the face for making such a poor plan. He thrusts his sword into the air, and jumped. Fast. Percy quickly realizes what just happened and yelled, as he was running into Annabeth,

"Dude, that was uncool!" He jumped and hoovered in the air for two seconds. Robbie looked confused, as this was the second time something like that happened, but Percy shrugged it off. Robbie had jumped so high that he grabbed the branch and swung on it, knocking Annabeth's helmet off and almost knocking her out. "ROBBIE WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT FOR? THAT WAS SO UNNECESSARY." Percy glanced up seeing a bloody boar's head and a red sword below it above Robbie's head. He came to a realization and yelled "You got claimed! You are a son of Ares, Robbie! Congrats Bud! Wait... oh no."

Robbie threw a little stick he had in his pocket and it transformed into a spear on the way down, knocking even Percy to the ground. He found the spear in his hands once more and threw it over to Nico, who had been watching amusedly. It hit him in the chest, but it didn't leave a mark and just made him fall. He just sat there, like he wanted for Nick to take the flag. Nick had summoned a lot of water and shaped it into a person. he made the water-person walk towards the flag. It picked up the flag and a trap snapped the person to drops. If it was a normal person they would be dangling from the tree. Robbie throws a long branch at it, having his spear easily snapped by Nico, and nothing happened. So, Nick runs to it and picks up the flag.

"Yeah!" Robbie says. After the flag is brought back to their side of the creek, Percy, Annabeth, and Julia are brought to the infirmary. Robbie came to visit them, and Percy said "Good fight, I can totally see why you are a son of Ares."

"Thanks, Ares kinda helped me there." Robbie says. Turning to Julia he says "Didn't Nick heal you in the water? I thought you were better."

She coughs and answers "Yeah, I am, but Clarisse's spear got me in the chest. It's kinda hard to talk and or breathe without it hurting."

Later that day, a daughter of Aphrodite named Julianna made fun of Liz. "Looks like gothic girl doesn't have a godly parent who wants her. All her friends have been claimed by good gods. Even if she does get claimed, it won't even be a decent god," Julianna doubled over in laughter with her fellow Aphrodites. Liz swore that she would get that curly blonde haired, blue eyed, flawless bully. In her rage, she thought of things to torment Julianna. Apparently, without Liz knowing, she summoned a small skeleton from a crack in the ground to come at Julianna.

"Daughter of Hades!" Julianna muttered and ran as a black skull and crossbones appeared over Liz's head.

"I'm a daughter of Hades?" Liz gasped. Then,

"Welcome to the Hades Cabin, I'm glad to have two little sisters." Nico said, coming over.

"Thanks so much, I'm so excited to be claimed!" Liz shouts with joy. She joins Nico to gather her things and moves them from the Hermes to the Hades Cabin. She is so nervous when walking to the dinner table that she is barely paying attention. As she walks under a tree with it's shadow immersing her, she somehow ends up right where she was headed, but in a matter of seconds, without hardly moving. She was so freaked out she screamed, and when Nico came running, she was paralyzed with fear.

"What. Just. HAPPENED???!!! AGAIN???!!!! WHY CAN I DO THIS?" She nearly screams at him. Nico laughs.

"Forgot to tell you. There's this thing, it's called shadow travelling. Sons and daughters of Hades can do this thing with their minds, where they envision a place a little bit far away, and they magically travel by shadow. Also, you have to be in a shadow for it to work. It is triggered by stress, excitement, strong emotion, and anxiety. My guess, all of them happened right then." explains Nico, in a laughing tone. Liz Oooohs, realization evident.

The next morning Nick, Julia, Liz, and Robbie all get the same orange Camp Half-Blood t-shirts as Percy, Annabeth, Grover, and almost everyone else at the camp. That was pretty much it. Until the next week. Liz and Robbie invented a new game with the lava rock climbing wall, called stone dodge. The game involves trying to knock your opponent down off the wall while they're climbing using stones. After about three hours of the game Robbie and Liz see Chiron talking to Nick. Liz shadow travels herself and Robbie behind a tree. They eavesdrop on what they are chatting about.

"Nick, you and three other lucky campers have been chosen to go on a quest!" says Chiron quietly and quickly.

"HUHH?? A QUEST?!" Nick yells.

"*SHHHH*" Chiron says looking around. "Now go up into the Big House attic. There you will find the Oracle of Delphi. There you will find a girl, named Rachel Elizabeth Dare. You will ask her 'What do I need to do?' She will give you your answer. It will be complicated, a prophecy. This wiill determine your quest. You are allowed to bring three other campers along on your quest." Chiron whispers at his quietest voice. Nick runs to the Big House and asks the Oracle of Delphi. Rachel, The Oracle, says

" Four will go into the depths,

three will have to stay behind,

for one shall have the depths breaths,

their power will they have to bind,

for if not there will be deaths,

the son of the sea god shall find the key,

to the garden of immortality,

where he shall become better than me ."

Rachel exclaims with sadness. She continues

"To get the key to this garden,

you'll have to be pardoned

by Ladon

the Hundred Headed Dragon

To do this task

you'll have to wear a mask

under the depths of the sea

to the people who call themself "thee"

on islands they rest

because it is their nest.

The final thing you'll need

to make this task succeed

the Time Lord's Weapon

then the key will lead to heaven.

The weapons of the gods you will need

to save the world from slavery"

Just then Nick rushes out and tells Liz and Robbie who just so happen to be waiting outside the Big House. They are sad and excited. The three run to Julia in the library and tell her the news.

"Well, yeah let's go, but the prophecy is VERY weird, I mean, I know they're supposed to be hard to figure out, but they're not usually not this complicated!" Julia responds, agitatedly writing it down as NIck was dictating it to her.

"Wise girl lost her touch?" asked Robbie. Julia scowled at him and after some pondering, snapped her fingers.

The group go to Chiron and say that they are the four that will go on the quest. Chiron states to the WHOLE camp "These are the four whom will go on the adventurous quest to slay Ladon the Hundred Headed Dragon! So, our heroes will adventure into the unknown ocean where numerous beasts lurk under the waves. They will leave for this quest next Friday!" Everyone cheers.

"We are not prepared for this!" Liz whispers furiously.

"I know, but we can do it. Julia can help figure out the prophecy and you guys want to see the scythe, don't you?" Nick said persuasively, but also in a really annoyingly whiny voice. "We can do it. Because we're demigods and we can do anything." Nick put his hand in the middle of the group. Next Julia and Liz put their hands in at the same time. Finally, Robbie put his hand in after looking at his friends staring at him. They were ready. They could do anything, but little did he realize anything is a very strong word.
