Chapter 3

A Visit, and a Gift.

Juliana clearly hadn't gotten the message. Even if she had avoided Julia for three days, the curly-haired, blue-eyed bully was back, terrorizing Julia and Liz. It was payback time. No more willy nilly insults. Now, they were going to stick to a hard-core plan.

"Look what the tide brought in today. Lookie here, just more Hades and Athena scum." she said.

"Like you have anything to speak for." Julia said, winking at Liz. She understood and backed away a little.

"Woo, sassy. Looks like I underestimated you, Jules." she said.

"Wow, took you long enough to figure that one out. And looks like I overestimated your brain cells." Julia said, hand on her hip and rolling her eyes, looking like she owned the place with her high-side-ponytail.

"Ugh, I tried to be nice to you-" Juliana started.

"And how well exactly did that work out for ya?" Julia replied, checking her nails and looking up at her. Neither notice Piper behind them.

"Um, Julia-" started Liz, very easily noticing Piper approach.

"Not know Liz"

"But, Julia-"

"Liz, I said, not now!"

"Julia, it would be good to listen to friends every once while." Piper spoke up.

"By the way, Piper's here." Liz said.

"OMGs PIPER!" squealed Julia. She ran and hugged her for some strange reason.

"Julia, GET OFF."

"Omgs sorry Pipes."

"It's O.K......" Piper says. "So... about Juliana's punishment... see... um... that's already been taken care of. Jackson and her are dating, so her punishment will be to be separated from him for a month. I have to go find Nick and Robbie- they're gonna have a bigger problem than yours to take care of soon..."

"You mean the super pathetically annoying brat?" Nick and Robbie say in unison when Piper finds them and asks them about Jackson, son of Apollo. Piper sighs.

"Yes, if you want to put it like that. The second you saw him, you hated him, correct?"

"Correct," They respond in unison, again.

"Good luck. Bye!" She runs off without explanation.

"What was that all about?" They ask, until they spot the sun god himself, Apollo, striding towards they with a grumpy girl around 12 tagging behind him.

"What about my awesome son?" he asked. He was gently taped on the shoulder.

"He's a stupid, self-centered, clumsy bully, and a disgrace to me and my Hunters, as well as he should be to you. Even Dad's mad at him!" screams Artemis, the seemingly sweet, yet annoyed little girl behind him into his ear.

"My lady! I didn't know you were coming!" says Nick, who was raised to be polite and respectful to ladies and superiors, bowing down so low he was kneeling and only showing the top of his head.

"That will be fine, Nicholas. Your father and I have reached an agreement, so no matter." Artemis replied.

Robbie announced "M'lady" and knelt down and kissed her hand. This, was a big mistake. And, unfortunately for him, Lady Artemis had taken a recent liking to stags. With a snap of her fingers, Robbie had disappeared. In his place, a tall, buff stag stood.

"Come on, Artie! Let these two have their fun. Do you know how much trouble you'll be in if Dad finds out how many nice boys you've turned into stags, including me?" Apollo says to his older sister.

"Oh, pooh on you, party pooper!" Artemis states as she turns Robbie back into a boy.

"Oh can you do it again m'lady? I need to snap a picture!" asks Nick.

"No, sorry, Nick, we must be going." Apollo says feeling bad for Robbie.

Nick later felt that he was ready to go on the quest; that's when Jackson came by. He was annoying Nick and Nick was losing his confidence in the quest. One time, the day before the quest, that day as a matter of fact, Robbie caught Jackson bullying Nick. Robbie immediately took out his knife and jumped to Nick's defense. Jackson was pleading escape, but Robbie held Jackson down on the ground. It looked like a scene from an action movie. Robbie yelled

"No one BULLIES MY FRIENDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Then, Jackson was released and he ran all the way to Juliana and they both never bothered the gang until after the quest. When Robbie was going to bed one night, he heard beautiful music playing and he instantly fell asleep. When he awoke he found a flute with a note on his bed. The note said

"Dear Robbie, I am very sorry for my sister's actions. Here is a magic flute that makes anyone fall asleep who hears it! From Apollo. P.S. There's another surprise, but you'll figure it out yourself!"

"Hey... What are these doing here..." Nick looks at his bedside table at the same time as Robbie and sees a pair of daggers. He rushes out to tell his friends. Nick tells them that he found Robbie's stag antlers in the shape of daggers with a note saying:

"Dear Nicholas,

You can keep Robbie's antlers to cherish the moment as well as use them in battle. Use them wisely. Artemis to Nick." Robbie tells them that he got a magic flute from Apollo!

Julia had had a dream from Zeus. It went something like this:

"Julia, you are my second favorite grandchild, second to Annabeth. But, she is not the one who is going on a quest. I give you this gift from me, to you." announced Zeus.

"But why are you giving me your lighting bolt?"

"I'm not. This is an exact replica. It is wired to be less dangerous than the real one. But, it can cause any type of storm you need, just not a hurricane. That's Poseidon territory. It can also fire electric jolts of electricity, but you have to figure out how to use it on your own."

"Thank you grandad!" Julia replies in gratitude.

"Oh, and one more thing. You also get a guiding owl from your mother to lead you wherever you wish it to- Nick knows his way around the ocean, but you'll be the leader on land. Its real though, so it needs food and water as well."

The dream dissolved, just like that.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" Liz had screamed when she found a person leaning over her face.

"Hold up, Artemis?"

"Yes, dear child. I have left your bow on your nightstand. It is silver with your name engraved on it. Use it well, Elizabeth."

Later that day, after Hermes had stopped by and given them flying sandals, they all were ready to begin their journey on the quest.
