I saw poetry and stars in his eyes,
I unveiled the truth from his lies,
I stepped into his land and saw a different world,
I saw the petals of the rose he refused to unfurl.
I saw the scars on his hands,
I saw the deep craters on his sands,
I saw what he felt in his sleep,
I felt everything that to himself he tried to keep.
Because he was a closed chamber with a lost key,
But I was a tainted soul who saw what others failed to see,
And that's why his strategy didn't work on me.
