Chapter Fifty

* * *

The days that followed were filled with gushy plans that Ally and Liam couldn't wait to get started on, but Sage was a little preoccupied in terms of getting things ready for the incoming family.

It was her job, after all, to get the necessary preparations settled for the transferring family—Although Mikey was a big help, as he wanted his brother back and badly. It was clear that Max didn't plan on staying forever.
Just for a few months as Mikey needed some coaching on his wolf.

The night before, however, Sage was on the brink of sleep but couldn't find a comfortable position it lay in. And an annoyed growl passed from Remus and his wolf, he didn't want his female to keep moving around—As it was waking him up.

After another five minutes, Sage gave up. She began rubbing her eyes and walked off to the hallway bathroom knowing that their bedroom's light would wake him up again.

It was there that she made the decision to sleep in her art room, the large bed all to herself seemed appetizing and her growling and overheated mate was too overbearing when she wanted to be sprawled out.

Whining mutt, I can feel how uncomfortable you are all the way in hell.

Hell far away?

It's not a walk in the park Wolfie, have to be dead to get in—Unless you have other means to get through the gates. But that's apart of the special cases.

Can I visit?

You do visit, just not your physical body. Have to have special permission cause your body or soul isn't used to it.

Oh. But you can leave when you want?

Of course, it takes a lot of energy and I'm saving that in the event you do need me to come up there and throw some fireballs. I haven't been slacking on my training, I can promise you that!

Sage hummed one last time before she fell asleep, only it didn't take long for Remus to come shuffling in with sleep in his eyes. "Munchkin?" She let out a softer hum than the last and peeked an eye open.

"Bigger bed."
"Kicked me out sleeping with you, huh?"
"Wolfie growled at me, you need sleep." Low and behold a new growl escaped her and she giggled.

"Can't sleep if you're hungry Sagey, how about I make a sandwich?" It earned him a second eye to open as she pushed herself to sit up. "Middle of night."
"So? Pup's hungry when the pup's hungry, they don't follow that schedule. In your belly or when they get here. Not when they're that little." After another yawn, she started to follow him downstairs—But only when he turned the light on and checked around for intruders and such.

As if an intruder would even get into the house in the first place.

She felt oddly guilty in having her mate wake up alone and then offered to make her a sandwich, but her mouth watered at the sight of the tomatoes.

"That a yes on the extra tomatoes?" Another growl escaped her stomach as she slapped a hand over her mouth. "Pup likes tomatoes."

Remus said something under his breath about having to grow their own at the rate she was eating them, and she smiled at the idea. She should add that to her garden plans as well.

It wasn't much longer when he presented her with a heft sandwich filled with lettuce, tomatoes, ham, and mayo. She smiled her thanks before diving into it, which left Remus to sit across from her with a tired smile on his face as he tried to sit up.

"Go back to bed Remmy, I finish eat-ing and come upstairs."
"No it's okay, you need to eat."
"But you need sleep, you not sleeping." It was partly why she wanted to go in the art room and sleep, she was keeping him up.

Think his wolf wants to make sure you're well taken care of, you're carrying his pup, Sagey. He's a protective k-9, and a dominant one at that. He likes being in control of the situation, and from where I'm standing, nothing about you says he's in control.

That's not true, he's Alpha.

Yes, but a happy Luna is a happy Alpha.

I'm happy.

And a tired Luna is a...?

Tired Alpha...I don't mean to keep him up, it's—

"Now who are you linking at this time of night, hun? I think the last patrols are even going to bed now."
"My wolf." She said quickly before taking another bite.

I'm a demon, thank you.

I can't tell Remmy that, Darius!

"Yeah? What's she saying up there? More tomatoes?"
"No, she wants to go running tomorrow...Maybe after seeing Mikey's brother, but I don't know if Jack or Caleb's mate is there," Remus growled his own record of input, he didn't really know what to say, and Caleb attending would be strange unless called upon by Sage herself.

Suppose they'll have to make due.

After finishing the sandwich, it caused Sage to become drowsy. Remus knew it would happen after a snack, so he piled up all the dirty dishes into the washer and put it on. The starting noise caused Sage to flinch her shoulders but she took her own little bit of being scared as she giggled again.

"Bed?" Remus mumbled an agreement, trying desperately hard not to fall asleep standing up. And thus Sage curled up beside him now, comfortable and content now that her belly was full because her mate fed her.

It made her and her wolf happy to be taken care of, and so she gave him a small kiss on the lips before settling back down to the pillow. "G'night munchkin...And mini munchkin."
"Good night Remmy, sorry I wake you up."
"Don't be, not your fault our pup has cravings." She only started to relax when she felt his breaths even out, and only then did she close her eyes.

How did he know you were linking someone?

I dunno, maybe my eyes change? I have to check. Can you remind me tomorrow?

Alright, lil Luna, you get some sleep wolife—You'll need it for tomorrow.

What? What does that mean?

Sage had felt the connection drop even before she asked her question, but a small pout served its purpose as Remus instantly leaned down to kiss her cheek. As if he knew she was sad.

And it allowed her to fall into a peaceful sleep, or for as long as the sun allowed her to. After so much time without natural sunlight, Sage still wasn't used to how bright it was in the morning.

She made it a note to get better curtains, as this was getting ridiculous. What wasn't ridiculous was the idea that popped into her head. And she held the smirk as she wiggled lightly out of Remus' hold and hurried off downstairs to get breakfast ready.

It was a tall order indeed, but she ran through the checklist—As well as make a note to get better curtains on the fridge's notepad. Though now that she looked at it she rubbed her eyes as the shopping list of food didn't really make sense with the addition of fridge...

Watch, your fluffy mate is going to order them by the end of the day, especially if you're making him a feast. What are you planning to make?

Bacon, eggs, and hash browns

Best get the potatoes frying first and then start the other stuff.

You can cook?

I ate at one point in my life you cheeky wolf. Cooking is a normal human trait I like to humor myself with. And I think it's very sweet of you to cook.

I hope, he makes me sandwich at night. I feel bad.

Never feel bad for that, his wolf thrives on you needing him. And besides, I can feel your wolf liking the idea of feeding him too—Because that means you can feed the pup when they're old enough to eat real food.

She soon hummed along, bobbing her head here and there as she saw Remus' phone starting to allow the emails to roll in. It usually acted as his morning alarm, but she took it when she came downstairs.

He deserved a good meal and a lil more sleep, and while making a pile of scrambled eggs and now moving onto the bacon—She heard the front door open.

"Gooooodmorning! Damn it smells good in here Alph—" Blake caught Sage's finger over her mouth and instantly silenced himself, but smirked non the less.

"What are you up to Luna? Or should I say, chef?"
"Sit." She said, pointing with her spatula over towards the already set table. "Uh, can I at least help?" Her eyes flared rather angrily and she pointed once again without speaking—The male didn't have a death wish that morning so sat down instantly.

Smart wolf. I can't wait to see how he acts around his lil mate.

Shhh, con-trating

Concentrating. Con-cen-trating. Almost got it.

She hummed again as she platted another few slices onto another plate just as she learned the hundreds of mornings she watched others cook.

Remus of course had woken up a little bit ago, but he was entirely exhausted. So when he turned over in a daze, his hand feeling for his phone on his nightstand—He groaned.

He must've left it downstairs.

"You wanna get up, munchkin? It's already—" His eyes flew open in clear shock, at the fact that it was already almost nine o'clock and that Sage wasn't in bed anymore.

He slept longer than his pregnant mate.
Scrambling out of bed he threw on the first shirt he saw and hurried downstairs, it was embarrassing enough—Especially when Blake was sitting with a coffee in his hand.

"Sage?" He questioned, but she turned to look back from the stove and smiled. "Hi."

"Good Morning Munchkin, have you seen my phone?" She went silent and turned around back towards the stove trying to hide her smile.

We need to work on your poker face, Munchkin.

You don't call me munchkin, Dary.

Well, now that's uncalled for.

"Munchkin..." Remus warned, and she shot him another award-winning grin.
"You get phone after breakfast."
"Uh, Sage that's not how that wo—"
"Sit." Blake hitched his shoulder as her voice was already darker than the one he had received, and while he tried to signal off towards the Alpha.

He wasn't getting the message.

"Hun—" She pointed off towards the table, but he still didn't budge. So she held up his phone, leaned up over the sink, and dropped it out the window. "SAGE?!"
"You sit down now." He had been beyond shocked that she pulled a stunt like that, but he begrudgingly went to go sit at his usual seat at the table and Sage was quick to follow with his usual cup of coffee.

Though Remus glared off towards Blake. "Hey, don't look at me. I was ordered to sit here too." He supposed that her charge wouldn't dare step out of line, not after his phone is probably broke on the porch.

"So uh...What's this about?" Blake whispered, and Remus shrugged his shoulders as he looked back towards Sage as she was putting all the serving plates onto the table.

"I want to cook breakfast." She pouted, sitting right beside Remus and wiggling in looking at her feast. When she started to serve herself, either male felt afraid of what to do next—So Remus was the white flag and began adding to her plate.

"Well, thank you, you did a fantastic job, hun. But you really don't have to cook—"
"Blake can't cook for us for-ev-er, and look! I don't burn the bacon." She said with a proud smile on her face, like she didn't just throw his phone out the window in a fit of rage.

So while the two males ate in cation, it was Jack who hadn't a problem taking a seat at the table and scarf down the food. "Goddess Luna, this is great!" Her wolf really appreciated the comments, and she thoroughly adored her mate's hand on her thigh, rubbing and massaging as it was his wolf that found it intriguing.

Or perhaps it was her demands.

"Alpha?—Oh, am I not invited for breakfast?" Eli questioned, and Sage went up to go get another plate for him, but he waved it off. Allowing her to stay in her seat and nibble on her piece of bacon.

Careful, Sage is on a mission to make us fat.

Blake teased, and it caused Eli to stop filling his plate and narrowing his gaze off towards Remus.

"Sage? Would you like to tell Eli and Jack what you did with my phone?" She shook her head, but her smile shined through even when she was chewing.

"Uh oh, did she hide your phone?" Jack said, egging on his Luna with a teasing grin, but she remained silent.

"She threw it out the window." Blake chuckled as he took another sip of coffee. And it earned Sage a wiggle when Eli couldn't hold back his laughter.

"Welcome to my world, Alpha."
"Yeah, but you don't have Harlow and Issac on your ass about being late all the time," Remus said rising up to his seat as he went off to the porch to retrieve his phone, and Sage simply took it out from her pocket and placed it right beside his place.

"Luna...You sneaky wolf." Jack said, pairing his own devious smile with the female in front of him. And when Remus had finally found his phone—Only it lacked the phone and it was just the case, Sage gave him a small second of her gaze before she put her attention in her tea.

"Sage..."
"I don't throw phone." Is all she said, though it didn't sound like a promise at all.

"Alright, well I guess Julia has one up on you, Sagey," Eli said and Sage gawked. "Jules broke a phone?"
"Yep, but to be fair, I did piss her off pretty badly." Perhaps it wasn't the best thing to say this early in the morning to his pregnant Luna, as it earned him narrowing eyes.

"So I ask Jules...?"
"Uh...So when's Dixon and Greene arriving?" Changing the topic had been a godsend, as Remus didn't feel as guilty in leaving his mate when the time came. And Blake absolutely refused to let her do the dishes, which left her with an after-meal bowl of fruit.

Her wolf was still on the high from feeding the males, and Remus' was still in a mess of emotion about it. That had been her first full meal she managed by herself, course it only made him want to stay-in even more this morning, however even she wasn't home.

Instead, she was making her way off towards the cabin that the pack was offering to the 'visiting' family. And of course, there were two large trucks having been parked outside, she caught Matthew's smile—Goddess, the biggest one she's ever seen on him, same with Michael and Michelle.

They were running around with the two other pups from the Greene side of the family, and Sage identified them as Keith, Kyle and Kylie—Keith being closer to Mikey in age while the two others, the twins, were just a few years older than Michelle.

It made it even more confusing as to why this didn't happen years ago, this attention the Greene's were getting from Max was undoubtedly fair—He traded one family for another.

Blake and Jack were at their Luna's side, and denied her the ability to help. So instead, she called out into the house, and close to instantly a female came rushing up to her.

"Luna Sage, thank you so much for inviting us! Can I get you anything? Goddess, you shouldn't be standing." Max frowned, as to what the hell changed in his mate. But as he turned the corner he realized soon enough that his previous Luna was indeed very pregnant.

"I'm okay, it's nice to meet you, Leah...You're Max?"
"Y-yes Luna. Good-morning." While it was polite, it came off as being unable to say anything else.

But of course, it was interrupted by Luke and Caleb's presence coming in. "Hey Max! Good to see you man, look at you—Mated. Never thought I'd see the day." Sage blinked at the exchange, perhaps she should've had Luke call Max?

No room for doubt Wolfie, Luke doesn't have the same power. He's Max's old friend, sometimes you need a push from a higher power.

So I do okay?

Yep! Now make sure you watch out for Caleb, he's been sniffing the air a lil extra.

She smiled to herself in delight and winked off towards Luke before flickering her gaze off to Caleb. And thus it was confirmed.

You think it's Lexi?

Yes, she's upstairs.

Alright well, how about we help them move in and you watch those crazy pup's outside, I'll keep an eye on my brother. He'll behave.

Caleb always behaves, no being rude.

She rolled her eyes but continued out on the ways to see the pups starting to make up a game of soccer, and while Kylie asked if Sage could play—The Luna pouted and shook her head.

"I can't run in skin anymore." She said, smoothing out her dress over her swelling belly. This prompted Kylie to ditch the game and sit beside the Luna, her ear pressed again the fabric as she tried to hear for them.

"Are they sleeping?"
"No, they're awake. Pup likes to move around." Sage informed, and Kylie smiled up at the kind female. She was far too young to realize that the smell from the she-wolf braiding her hair was in fact the Luna.

And while Sage knew that, she felt rather relieved. Sometimes she liked the idea of going undercover and being recognized as a normal wolf in the pack. Though now with her pregnancy that surely wasn't always an option anymore.

Sage had in fact missed the newly found couple spot one another while moving in, Luke did inform her that it happened—But she remained outside to watch the pups in the yard.

They were getting a little wild with energy that Sage couldn't recall ever being that hyper. From an outside perspective, she used to run laps as they did. Just faster.

Kylie was running around in a braid that Sage had done for her, and while she was sitting in the trunk of the car—She found herself longing for the day to watch over her own pups.

You have plenty of time for that.

Darius was always quick to deflate any questions and concerns that she had in her head, but for once she wished he wasn't there. So she looked down at her shadow and shook her head.

Mute.

Alright, alright...I know when I'm not wanted, but remember what I said. Pup's almost here.

And with that, he disconnected.
Though she could still see that her shadow was the same. Hadn't she said to be 'mute'?
Or was that just making him quiet?

Sage hardly understood what it meant to have a shadow, and there really wasn't anyone to talk to about it besides Darius.

You alright Sagey?

Her head perked up as she looked over at Caleb. She nodded off towards him then smiled, he was wearing the shorts that still had the paint stain from last summer.

Red paint still don't come out?

Nah, they were my work pants anyway. Sagey...Did you hear? Lexi Greene is my mate.

I know, not allowed to tell people when mates are coming. But I tell Luke that you're going to find her soon.

Caleb flashed her another grin as he continued his way into the house with one of the last remaining boxes. And his smile shined even brighter when he laid eyes on his mate, she was indeed an Enforcer's daughter—A beautiful figure and bright blue eyes to go along with her light brown hair.

Yes, he and his wolf were undeniably happy.

Who was not happy, however, was Lexi—Watching her newly found mate flirting with the she-wolf outside. She heard that the woman was babysitting the pups so that the others could do their work, and instead of asking who it was, Lexi jumped into action.

Sage was already feeling a bit run down with the events of this morning, all she really wanted was a nice cup of cold water with a ton of ice and maybe a cold shower would mellow out her overheating body.

What she didn't prepared for was the sudden tap on her shoulder, and right before she could fully turn her body around—A fist had connected straight into her nose.

The crack caused those around them to still, and Luke didn't hesitate to run on outside to see if any of the pups were hurt. Yet he wasn't the only one to start rushing to Sage's side to see her hunched over and holding onto her nose in agony.

"Stay the hell away from my mate!" Lexi demanded, and Sage's wolf simply huffed in annoyance. Course the swelling of her nose was starting to wear her patience thin, but as her back straighten and her shoulders were set in place—She growled.

"Shit! Sage don't—" It was too late, attacking a pregnant Luna was a death sentence and she grabbed the female by the throat. Not taking any sort of care that her nails were digging into the woman's skin.

And in one failed swoop she threw the Enforcer like a rag doll across the ways and into the truck. The loud dent causing everyone to flinch, but Caleb remained shell-shocked.

Having no clue in terms of what to do or why they're fighting.

"What is going on?!" Luke yelled, coming closer to the scene but Sage's onyx eyes locked onto her brother and she growled in warning.
Making it clear that she wasn't accepting anyone to come near her for the moment.

Lexi was enraged, she had only recently met Luke, her mate's older brother, and of course, he would feel the need to go and try and comfort the random female.

The random pregnant female.

It was clear to Lexi that the stranger was mated, so says the claim on her neck and the pup in her stomach. But she was still set on the idea of the she-wolf looking at what wasn't hers.

The newly arrived female had felt the back of her head, and looked at the dent in the car. It was a rather beautiful throw and response to being punched, the newbie couldn't deny that.

Sage, however, was finding it very hard not to shift—Her wolf felt unsafe for herself and for the pup that she couldn't breathe in anything but her own blood.

It was making her body convulse as she attempted to ease her thoughts and stare at the fact that Luke was a few feet away. That he wouldn't let anything happen to her.

Breath in Wolfie, nice and easy. You shift now you'll hurt the pup a lot worse than a ringer in the nose.

Keep talking, wolf likes hearing you talk.

Alright. You have a pretty big crowd coming around you, and your lil friend Mikey looks ready to pounce on his sister-in-law. Oh and Kylie is crying in Leah's arms, Caleb is...Well, it looks like he doesn't know what to do.

She punch me.

Hmm, and you threw her against the car—I don't think that's normal wolfie powers there, Sage. I think that's mama Wolfie coming out to defend her pup.

Another growl escaped her, but it was in confirmation as to what Darius had said. And no amount of coaxing to her wolf would lower the death wish she had against that female.

"What happened?" Luke said through gritted teeth, as he didn't waste another moment before throwing off his shirt and handing it off to Sage. Who needed it to stop the gushing blood rushing down the lower half of her face.

"That bitch was eyeing up Caleb. He's mine." Luke knew that wasn't the truth in several regards, Sage hardly ever really flirted with the Alpha—Or perhaps the was only in private, he wouldn't know on that end.

"What I think, Lexi, is that you need apologies before—"
"WHAT?! Why?!" Luke hardly had a word in before both Eli and Blake had started running towards the group in the fear of catching the Luna's blood wafting in the wind.

Her wolf had almost lashed out on Eli had Blake not held the male back, the swipe would've clawed him right in the chest had it not been for the quick escape.

"Sage, hun...Please sit down." Sage surely heard her Charge but didn't really see it as anything more than submission. Her bending down didn't give her the height her wolf craved, thus she remained standing.

"Lexi attacked the Luna." Sage's brother explained, and Lexi's lips parted. Was that why nobody was coming to her aid?
That her mate looked as though she committed the ultimate sin.

"Stand. Up." Sage demanded, and while Lexi wasn't a part of the pack—Sage still held the position as an Alpha female, one that was disrespected and injured.

Lexi did her best to do just that, though her back felt as though it was on fire. It was surely going to bruise in by tonight, but it was slightly worrying to those around her that Sage's nose was still bleeding.

The Luna soon found the rage to storm towards the targeted female, and her feet moved at their own pace through the grass.

"Sage..." Luke whispered in warning, but her head tilted in such a way that spoke all the volumes of a wolf. She might've heard her brother, but it was in warning not to speak.

"Rank." It had been a simple question of who this wolf was, and Lexi craned her neck and her eyes pointed down to the Luna's feet.

"Enforcer...Private, tier 4." Seconds ticked by, and Sage's attention turned to Caleb. As much as she wanted to hurt the female, she couldn't do that to her brother's mate.

No matter how out of line she was.

And it started to dwindle her eyes and return her normal thought process.

"Your mate is Elwood, respected name. You are no longer tier 4." Lexi had been demoted, and there was little to be done. Though that didn't stop her from trying.

"You can't do that! You're not my Luna!"
"And you're guest in my pack!"
"Why should I be punished?! You were looking at my mate!"

And it caused the she-wolf to huff in damnation. "Caleb is my brother, I laughing at the paint on his pants." Lexi hadn't been informed that she was Caleb's sibling, but then on further comparison, they didn't look all that similar.

"Lexi apologies right—"
"What?! She doesn't even look like his sister!" This time Sage gave a disappointed look off towards either of her brothers, but then settled on Luke. Even when Leah was trying to put some sense into her sister it still didn't come across as defusing the tension.

"Adopted into Elwoods, you start with no rank. Even if you mate with Caleb, no rank." It was followed by a record of Eli coming closer to take a better look at the damage.

"That might be the Luna's punishment, but I can assure you, Greene...That Luna Fiona have her own punishment to give." Perhaps it was the pup's mind that was screaming for unfair treatment, but Max silenced her and agreed that the punishment the Luna assigned was fair cause.

Sage was forced to sit back on her spot at the truck's bed as Blake tried to clean up the blood. It was starting to slow down, but it was clear that it needed to be pushed back into place.

"Do it." She urged, and either Luke and Eli gestured for the other to be the one to pop it back into place. But Blake knew Sage much better than most, she didn't want a countdown, she wanted it done quickly to get the pain over it. So the second her Charge's hand came into view she closed her eyes and sucked in a quick breath, it didn't hurt as much as it did before...But of course, the Luna was prone to bleeding when it made those in her proximity extra antsy.

With Lexi escorted inside, Caleb came over towards Sage with his head down. He felt responsible for his mate going out of turn, but it wasn't anyone's fault other than Lexi's.

Those around her were trying to figure out how to inform Remus what happened without him feeling the need to kill the messenger, but Sage's back straightened as she felt her mate approaching the scene.

"He's coming..." She mumbled, her wrist dabbing the spot underneath her nose to see if there was anything remaining but it was dry. Though there was only so much to be done when there wasn't anything to clean it up properly.

The males felt the Alpha not long after Sage's announcement, it was rather loud all things considering. They found themselves moving away from Sage to make room for Remus, and she tried to offer up a smile to her mate—Though it was a failed attempt as Remus frowned.

Instead of being repetitive, Remus turned to look at Eli, since he was the highest rank at the scene. "The Luna was punched in the nose by Lexi Greene."

"And why would a guest suddenly feel the need to attack my pregnant mate?" He questioned, his fists already curled and shaking. Sage placed a hand onto her mate's shoulder, and while he shot his head to take a look as to what she wanted, she started to tug him back and snuggle up into his back. Promoting a better sense of healing and calming her wolf even further.

"Miscommunication. Sage was making fun of Caleb's shorts and Lexi thought she was...Flirting." Remus could see what Luke was saying that it was a wrong assumption, but he also knew that Chris wouldn't allow this type of behavior in any shape or form.

"The Luna's already stripped her title," Luke said, but he himself had his own plans in teaching Lexi a lesson. Even if she was indeed his new sister.

"Goddess Sage, always attracting—"
"No don't say! Trouble not my friend!" She said with an unruly pout that really didn't pair well with her bruising nose.

"Hun, you didn't even speak to the she-wolf before she attacked you. I think I have to agree on the Alpha with that one." She rose up from her hug from the Alpha and gawked at her brother, but has moved far too fast and lost too much blood as she had caused her to feel rather woozy.

"Alright munchkin, infirmary or home?" Sage wolf didn't think it was as funny as her mate did and voiced her annoyance as she was brought further into his embrace and lead into the car.

It was then that the Alpha had caught the dent in the truck, his hand gestured to his mate's back but there wasn't any pain steaming there from the bond.

"I throw she-wolf at car. Sorry."
"Denting my cars now too? I might have to fine you for that one." Blake could see how frantic Remus truly was, trying to lighten the mood with his running line of jokes to get a reaction out of Sage.

With Blake offering to drive them both home as Remus helped Sage in one side of the car, she rolled down the window to see Caleb with an even worse face of remorse.

I like her.

She called out, and Caleb never jerked his head back quicker than what his sister whispered into his mind.

You do?

Reminds me of Laura. Needs to learn proper place in pack, Elwood name not help her learn it.

Will do Luna, after today my wolf is kinda disgusted with her.

I'm okay.

I know you are hun, but attacking a pregnant she-wolf is against a lot of laws. They might not apply to her because she's a guest, but she could've gotten into a lot more trouble than you sentenced her to.

Pup needs to be taught a lesson, talk later...My head's hurting.

Go rest up with some ice Sagey, and again I'm sorry.

No. Don't be sorry, you don't punch me. I always love strong she-wolf, but she needs to learn that att-i-tude is important too.

Silence graced the link for a moment, but the small bit of acceptance that Sage had for his mate was enough for him. She felt it strongly through the sibling bond at that moment.

Thanks Sagey...Go rest up.

It was hard to 'rest up' as Caleb suggested when Remus was mother henning her to the point of insanity, all she wanted was a nap on the couch and every other minute he would fix her blanket. Pour more water into her cup, or just walk into the room to check in on her.

Her wolf had found it adorable at first, but now she was just getting severely aggravated.

It wasn't long before he came in yet again to perform one of the following, and when he was just about to leave Sage called out to him. "Do you need another ice pack?" She reached out her hand and he didn't hesitate to come towards her side, so much so that he switched out her pillow so she could rest properly in his lap. His arm securely making its way to feel over her stomach.

"Babying me."
"Adding punched by a random she-wolf onto the list of you getting hurt, I'm entitled to baby you." She didn't mind being in his hold, it made it easier to feel the pressure of sleep come to her. But then she looked up to her mate and smiled.

"Wolf don't like pup in danger."
"That's all mom's hun, wait until Roe gets here...He'll be nothing but trouble."
"Rue is going to be a lady, and no trouble from her." The teases would always go back and forth, for Rue and Roe.

It was only a matter of time that they find out who is right.
