XXV Edmond and the Univeral Warp Zone

Splash!

Splash!

Droplets of water were thrown out of nowhere towards the scene of the fire and it astounded everyone on who was helping them out; since it was the same person who even started the inferno!

The sibling's mouths agape and their eyes were bewildered. They did not expect this scene in front of them to happen.

The giant's hand scooped up a handful of water to extinguish the fire, but by now the embers have surrounded the whole embarkment around Jill.  Thus, tension started to break loose.

And this was the second lesson that Leon failed in.

Mort may be tall, but he still acted like the boy who never grew up, just as a character whose home was in NEVERLAND!

"My mess! My mess! I really sorry!"

Tears began to flow from Mort's eyes signifying that he wasn't playing around and was sincere.

Then once the flames were out, he pointed to the elf ... "He made me do it. He, and boss. They hurt my mama if I don't obey. No mama will suffer! He, bad person. I now a bad person!"

And with that, he stumbled to the ground to his knees causing a small earthquake that rattled the group. Jillian and Jackson were still quite confused with what was going on but stood next to each other just in case another tremor happened.

Astonished with what Mort was doing, Flo forced herself to grin. The dimples on her face began to show as she smiled with glee knowing that once again the devilish Leon would soon be defeated. But she also knew that she had to calm the big boy down or else a whole earthquake and a flood of tears would soon overtake Faerymore.

But she also felt sorry for the giant and frowned once she saw Leon. She waved her hand and with a snap of her finger, and sent the elf running with pain. Satisfied with what she had done, she smiled and flew next to Mort. Thus, she flew down to get close to him.

Patting him on the shoulder and assuring him that nothing will happen to his mother, she coaxed the giant to calm down.

"There, there Mort, you are not a bad person. You were bribed. Yes, you did something wrong, but you apoligized and put out the fire. Now please stop crying ..."

After a few minutes of this lecture, another rumbling of footsteps came from the other side of the pavement.

An enormous woman who they had to look up to in the sky approached. Her burly hands had some remnants of scars possibly from being tied up, but one could tell she managed to get away.

"MAMA!"

The siblings turned around and saw Mort coming their way. Thus, they quickly moved to another corner in fear of being stomped on!

"Son!"

It was a mother and son giant reunion! Satisfied that things were going her way, Flo, made a quick nod and raised her thumb to alert Mort that she was happy for him that his mother was alright.

"Hello, Mrs. Salt. I'm glad you are now okay. We should be leaving now." Pointing to her watch, she motioned to Jackson that they were wasting time to get to the finish line.

Mort begged them to stay, but his mother explained to him that they had other business to attend to.

Much to Leon's dismay, the first two riddles that he ordered the dimwits to recite failed.  He hoped the last two would scare the fairy and the siblings for he had death and their future on his side.

After they left Mort and his mother, an opening to the next part of the maze was shown.  The light in the maze faded fast, like the end of the day in a wintry forest. Without the greenery against the walls, it felt gloomy.

the colder and the smell of stagnant water dominated the senses.

A dark cloaked creature emerged from the shadows, baffling his audience.

Jackson began to panic and held on to his blue pendant. He thought that this scene might be the time to use it as Aurora did tell him to use it wisely.

The man spoke up.

"And you must be Jackson and Jillian. I have been expecting you! Leon tells me you are trying to leave the labyrinth!"

Pleading with this new dark creature to spare them, Jillian managed to mumble a few words.

"And ... who ... are ... you?"

The stranger laughed. "Wouldn't you like to know, little girl! Don't you recognize me?"

Jillian shook her head no and frowned holding onto her brother's arm.

"Call me G.R., Jillian."

This sent her chills as she heard this, for she had a bitter feeling that he was not a nice fellow like the others.

"Does G.R. stand for something?" asked Jillian.

Taking precaution and holding on to his pendant, Jackson scolded his sister. He had a hunch it stood for the grim reaper too, and felt this sudden answer might be their end!

"Do not ask such things, dear sister!".

With a sigh of annoyance written on his face, he glared at where Leon was once standing, but the clever elf was nowhere to be found. It appeared as if he vanished into thin air!

The grim reaper's cloak was now in their view and Flo flew down to hear the conversation, making sure to stay away from the creature's sight.

She knew the grim reaper couldn't see behind his back, so she stayed there the whole time motioning to the siblings not to give her away.

"Now, my children here's the third riddle. One that could be your last.   They try to beat me, they try in vain. And when I win, I lend the pain. What am I? Answer wisely and you shall pass!"

Flo knew the answer at the exact minute G.R. threw his scythe towards the children and managed to catch them by their shirts. They flew up high so GR could not see them. But the minute, G.R saw Jackson's ankles dangling in the air, he decided to look up.

But that was a mistake on G. R.'s part, for he should have remembered that he doesn't have a neck, so in short, G.R. felt pain. And then the pain led him to his anger that the fairy lifted the children. Thus, the building tension killed G.R on the spot as his dark blood was seen on the ground

Of course, the answer to the riddle was  Death ♨️, but whose ... well, the answer to that was quickly solved.

But Flo knew that Grim Reapers never die, they only dissipate for a short time. Thus, she urged the siblings to run through the greenery bushes. She couldn't hold on to them anymore and figured that it was best to put them back down on the ground.

The final part of the maze was quite a surprise, as Jackson saw the creature he first met when he entered the abyss.

"Tommy?"

The flying owl with spectacles looked down and laughed at him and his dark eyes glared at Flo.

"I told you to call me a dwoll, Jackson. You and your sister are very clever to meet me! If it weren't for you Flo and your stupid fae friends, we could have gotten away with it."

And with that mention, now the pixie felt that she was in deep jeopardy too.

"Now, for your last riddle, my lads ... I am always in front of you, but you will never see me. What am I?"

"Our shadow?" was Jillian's guess.

"Air," Jackson yelled in order to get the dwoll's attention.

"No morons, you are both wrong ... it is your Future 💡"

The dwoll chuckled and pointed to the air like a superhero and flew off to the Abyss!

A rumbling noise started sending off chaos! Flo was scared but knew the siblings might be in more of a nervous breakdown.

"Run! Run! my children!"

She caught sight of the elf who was grinning from ear to ear since out of his four attempts to get rid of the siblings, Tommy had won. But she refused to let this happen and remembered that she could still win his cruel game.

Flo dove down to catch the gold bar from Leon's hands. The same one he treasured as it was his medal of honor.

With some struggle with the elf, Flo was able to take it away and flew off.

"No... nooooo!!! You can't win Flo, give that back!"

Leon tried to run after her while summoning his other friends for help.

Fearing for their safety, Flo wished the siblings luck as they were now headed toward the finish line.

"I want to help you both, but I can't. Not anymore ... Run ... And close your eyes tightly my dears, until you hear your father's voice! It's only up to you two to release your father, Edmund, to the universe!"

And Flo tried all her might to fly high in the sky, before dropping the gold bar in Jackson's hands.

Trying to reach her pace, Jackson and Jillian ran as fast as they could.

"Wait, he is entrapped in a gold bar?" questioned the curious boy.

"His alien soul is."

"You mean we are half aliens too?" Jillian looked puzzled and was running out of breath.

"I don't think you want to know Jill, for you might not end up in your intended destination."

"Go now and follow these directions: DON'T LOOK BACK! He is coming! Hurry!"

"Who's he"

"No time for answers, now .. just go!"

"We have reached the end now, what should we do now, Jill?" Jack asked desperately as he put his hands on his knees. He was exhausted from all of the shenanigans that he went through!

The labyrinth seemed more of an obstacle course than a simple maze where beginning to end would be easy as a breeze.

Beyond the grassy hedge, an intricate light lay before them. It was the warp zone that would take them to their final resting place.

"This is crazy Jill ... there's two sides of this Warp Zone, how do we know which one leads to home? Flo! Please help us!"

But the fairy refused.

"I'm sorry, I cannot. Whatever path you choose now in the zone is now your fate. Just hold hands and may the 'uni - force' be with you!"

She paused but remembered something else to say.

"And I'm really sorry for this, but you just can't remember what happened, not until you both are ready to figure it out."Figure what out?

Flo?
Flo?

Poof!!!
