XVII Arguments and Battles

"Stellar continue on with the story!"

Silence.

"Earth to Stellar."

But to her dismay, the other constellation did not move. He was too busy looking at the delicate brownish papers falling apart in the diary. And he was careful not to tear them apart either.

"Stellar, are you even listening to me?" A red-faced Andromeda asked, while her arms started to cross over each other.

Ignoring his classmate, Steller sighed. "In a minute, Andra. I'm reading."

Gliding towards him, she swiftly smacked her classmate's head with a newspaper.

"Ow, what was that for?" Stellar put his hand on top of his head, and was ready to massage the area where she hit him.

Ignoring his question, Andromeda smiled knowing that she finally got his attention.

Would you mind reading it out loud? I didn't give it to you to hog it all!"

"Oh, come now Andra ... I'm just reading onward to skip the boring part. Looks like there was a big feud between the centaur and this unicorn named Destiny. What a battle! The intense agony and defeat!" Stellar stated with excitement.

"Well, don't let us stop you, Stell, if you don't want us to finish Miss Jillian's story, it must be 'too boring' for us to hear about it!" Andromeda sarcastically remarked as she raised her pointed up nose towards the sky.

"Well, it's not my fault you got scared like a 'death star' when you started to read about what those ogres did to the humans!" Stellar retorted back.

The two bickering stars both had their arms crossed and their hazel eyes beamed at each other as if they were ready to battle it out right in front of a colosseum. With one on the right and another on the left; they could be mistaken for raging bulls!

"ENOUGH!" A flabbergasted Haley's Comet shouted. She got up from her desk and moved toward her classmates who were causing quite a scene. "Listen!!! We are not here to start a war over a diary! Look, we all would like to hear the story, so why don't we just make a compromise?"

All eyes were now on Haley, who was ready to explode and acted as if she were a mother who just scolded her children.

Thus, both Andromeda and Stellar knew that Haley wasn't any comet to mess with for she could discharge at any minute if the feud continued.

Therefore, as he put the journal down, Stellar knew he was outnumbered by the red faces the other celestial bodies were giving him.

Knowing that his male counterparts wouldn't back him up either, since they remained quiet, Stellar groaned.

"Fine, I'll continue! But would you want me to start where I left off, or shall we go directly to the juicy part?"

"I think you could just give us a synopsis of what you read Stell, and then if we have any questions, you're the star we can count on!" Sarcastically remarked a red-faced Andromeda as she sat back in her spot.

"As you wish, Andra."
And with that, the mischievous star bowed.

■■■

"Let's see where did we leave off! Oh yes, let's get to the brief synopsis that Haley wanted," Stellar declared as he licked his lips as he turned the pages in Jillian's diary.

Jixon confronts the trio.

So, the centaur waited in the forest for his prey. Shaking with excitement that he would soon get a pair of human legs, sweat began to drop upon his face.

The first thing Jixon wanted to do after obtaining his 'reward', was to surprise his beloved, once he could walk with two human feet. He imagined that Aurora would be so happy to see him that she'd run into in his masculine arms, fall in love with him again and they would live a happily ever after.

But everyone knows the saying "Don't count the chickens🐔 before they hatch🐣, or you'll just spill the milk!"🥛

And to Jixon's ill-fated errors, that was what happened.

■■■

The trio which included Miss Jillian, her brother, and Glory, continued their pathway towards the forest's clearing.

The two siblings marched on foot, while the talkative fairy flew slowly above them as if this was just a brisk 'walk' in the park for her.

Jackson fiddled with the strange pendant around his neck; believing that it was just a worthless part of jewelry that Aurora gave him, while Miss Jillian innocently whistled by his side. Looking at her sarcastically, Jackson knew what his sister was up to, but didn't want to give it to her.

In his eyes, Miss Jillian was already head over heels over the pendant; that the necklace could be easily  ruined in her hands.

■■■

But little did the trio know that they were being followed by dark shadows that lurked on both sides.

Behind them, was Glory's stallion Destiny, who was magically summoned by Jackson's pendant to guard the trio.

And on the other end, was the centaur, Jixon, waiting for their arrival. He was ready and willing to kill his prey for greed. His hands were shaking nervously and had a grim smile like a Cheshire Cat!

He was supposed to wait for Brutus to give him the *wink*, the keyword or gesture to attack, but the impatient mare couldn't wait anymore.

Slouching behind green bushes that were wet with the morning dew, Jixon thought that was the best place to hide. There was only one problem, without any camouflage to cover himself up, he could easily be detected and that was his first mistake.

Thus, Miss Jillian was the first to see the conniving brute. You see my fellow classmates, Jixon's brown hair didn't blend with the green bushes and it caused her to wonder why.

Thus, she scanned the premises again only to meet the eyes of the centaur looking back at her. Frozen with fear, she motioned for Glory to come near her and blurted a few words in her ear so the fairy herself could examine the surronding area.

And as soon as Glory flew near the centaur, Jixon knew he had been found. He grew agitated as he did not expect the pixie to be with them, so as quickly as he could, he grabbed an arrow from his case and drew out his bow, aiming it toward the fairy.

Sensing that her master needed help, Destiny's hooves pounded on the ground. Once she saw the arrow aimed at Glory, the dam dashed towards the centaur with the goal of ambushing him to the ground. Thus, Destiny whinnied to alert her master to steer away from harm.

Surprised of what his new rival did, the arrow Jixon was about to shoot was not released, for instead, it fell on the ground. This then left an angry centuar to seek revenge against the unicorn, since he doesn't like distractions.

Up above, Glory moved to the side and was thankful for what Destiny had done. Yet, she was now afraid to lose her unicorn and called out to her.

■■■

At the same time, the siblings ran for cover under the tallest tree they could find, for they didn't want to be in the way as a battle was about to infuse.

Both Miss Jillian and her brother shivered knowing that soon the outcome of this catastrophe would be death. So, they tried to close their eyes, but by some strong force their eyelids wouldn't close, which caused them to watch the bloody scene before them.

■■■

Both mares kept their eyes on each other, while the one with the magnificent horn was ready to aim at anytime. Without notice, Destiny tumbled into Jixon's torso; her horn hitting his chest.

And soon the centaur's thick blood from where he was hit oozed out on the ground. He was hurt and had a scorn on his face. But Jixon stood up despite the pain and aimed to ambush his enemy.

Hooves thundered upon the grassy path ready to aim for its target. It was as if two raging bulls were ready to attack each other as hot steam was coming out from their ears.

The second attack was even more brutal than the first. Jixon pulled all his might and shoved his might to bring Destiny down.

He trotted next to his nemesis, and with full force, knocked her down with one push. Jixon was determined to destroy her horn, for that is what made the unicorn powerful.

Meanwhile Jackson, who was beyond scared of Destiny's fate, warmed up the pendant in his hands hoping something good would come out of it!

■■■

Everyone was in awe with the story.
And soon an applause came, that is, except for one.

Still skeptical, Andromeda raised her hand.

"Um, hate to ask Stellar, but did you exaggerate a little bit on that piece? I found it a little too odd for Miss Jillian to write all of that in her diary."

Stellar looked at her suspiciously knowing Andromeda wanted the truth. So he gave it to her.

"Well, I wanted to add more spice to it, 'give it an edge! Why leave it to boring? Is that a problem, Andra?"
Inquired the joker.

Sensing that he was annoyed, she went pale. Andromeda was not expecting that answer.

"No, no problem at all. But there are some things I'll never understand about you." And with that she nodded her head and motioned him to continue on.
