Chapter 5
Lara's POV
He was asleep now. I've stayed beside him for hours. I should just run away, he told me to. I belived he was actually going to turn into a monster. And yet I sat next to him for hours. I made us a little fire. The flames lit up the place beside us and gave me a feeling of safety even though anybody could see the light and know that we're here. After the short day, night came again, sweeping the already dark forest with even more darkness. I heard him move. I stood up a bit, preapared to run in case anything might happen. He looked at me. His eyes were still icy-blue. "Glad you're okay," I smiled. "I am?" he asked slowly. He looked confused and looked at his shoulder, where Skybrine hit him. The scarf I wrapped around his arm was a bit bloody but not too much. "You stopped the bleeding," he said. I couldn't hear any expression in his voice. "I guess?" I said back. "That stopped the poision from his sword to spread," he said and looked at me "Thank you." I smiled "Anytime." He looked at the fire. "We shouldn't have any light," he said. Each time he said something, there was no expression, nomfeelings in his voice. "yeah,I know," I sighed. He put the fire out. "We should get going," he said as he got up. "Woah, woah are you ready enough to travel?" I asked him and took a step toward. He slightly pushed me away "Let me correct myself. We must get going. You seem made this little camp in one of the dragon girl's favorite places. We're lucky she didn't tear us to pieces," now there was a hint of amusement in his voice. I awkwardly smiled and then we started walking.
"The dragon girl?" I asked him. "One of the monsters around here," he simply replied. "You seem to know a lot about this place. Could you tell me more about it?" I asked. "Ah I see, you're new here," he said and smiled "Well I've been here for a long long time. This is a bit dark forest, there is not exist. One time I climbed a tree and saw endless trees, all around." The fact that we were trapped in here with a bunch of 'monsters' sent a shiver thru my body. "There are monsters,so far I've closely seen WitherMU and Skybrine, possibly my biggest enemies here. But one time I've had a fight with the dragon girl," he countunied. "Did you kill her?" I asked him surprised."Nah,but I did leave her a scar or two," he said. "Maybe she was just scared when she saw me and left us alone," he smirked. I chuckled and asked him "Are there any other monsters?"
"I saw two other a few times. One with creepy red eyes and carrying a blood-stained knife everywhere he goes. The other one,I'm actually not sure if he's a normal human or not..." he said. "Ah,okay," I said so he'd know I'm still following. "In this forest,we catch food, cook it and do everything we can at day. We only sleep if we find a safe place," he ordered. "Sure," I shrugged.
"Stop," he suddenly hissed. "Wha-" I said confused as he blocked me with his hand. "And shut up!" he whispered angrily. I had no idea what was going on but I did as I was told anyways. His icy blue eyes were looking straight in front of him,and looking from left to right from time to time. I seriously hoped he would explain to me what was going on soon. "There's somebody here," he whispered "I can hear them breathing." I just supposed he had sharp hearing because he was a cat in other life. He took a sharp knife, made out of stone and wood from his pocket. For a few moments we just stood there in silence. Then suddenly he jumped over the brambles and ran. I ran after him and stopped where he stopped. We were looking at a boy,a bit older than me. He was curled up and stared at us in fear. He had brown messy hair and dull blue eyes. He wore a black T-shirt, grayish-blue jeans and gray shoes. It only took me seconds to realize who he was. "Supah?"
Hawkfrost looked at me surprised. "You know him?" he asked me. I nodded. "Wait who are you. You look so familiar...." Supah said. "I'm Lara. You know, that insane shipper?" I said friendly. Supah smiled. "Can we trust him?" Hawkfrost asked suspiciously. "I think so," I answered. Supah still looked a bit in shock, and it was not just because Hawkfrost scared the crap out of him. "What happened to you?" I asked him slowly. "I-Ice...." his voice shok as he spoke "She isn't the same anymore."
"What do you mean by that?" I narrowed my eyes. "S-she tried to kill me. I don't know she looks and acts like some sort of monster," he said. "The dragon girl...." I whispered. "What?" Hawkfrost asked confused. "His friend,Ice. She's the dragon girl," I explained. "So his friend is a monster. We can't trust him then!" Hawkfrosty snapped. "No,no. She wasn't a monster before, but something happened to her," I said. "She was inflected....." Hawkfrost said "Just like I would be if you hadn't saved me." I felt pity for Supah. His best friend was now a monster. "Wait what?" Supah asked confused. "Come with us," I offered "We'll explain on the way." Then Supah stood up and we started walking deep into the forest.
