"Did you guys feel that?" Ever asked.

"What?" Grim looked back, who had stop walking.

After going to see a movie, a group of four are walking home, taking a shortcut through the woods. However, it has started to rain.

"I think he means the rain, Grim" Anne said poking him in the forehead."What have a told about poking me Anne..." Grim says giving Anne an angry stare. "Chill guys, we need to find shelter before this gets bad" Malinda says pushing the two away from each other.

Suddenly, there's a deep ruble of thunder, and then the downpour begins.

"Thanks for jinxing us, Malinda" Anne mutters. Ever starts running down the dirt path. "Hurry guys, before we all get soaked!" Ever yells back. "Wait for us Ever!" Malinda yells back as the three take off after Ever.

"We've been running forever, and haven't seen anywhere to take shelter at" Grim pants. Grim, unlike his name suggests, is a complete goofball that loves eating but somehow still stays skinny as a stick. He has long dark brown hair with matching dark brown eyes, he's also five and a half feet tall and is of Middle Eastern descent

"It's been 5 minutes Grim" Anne says looking back at him. Anne has chocolate brown hair with blue eyes. She keeps everyone in the group in check by always carrying a spray bottle around.

Before Anne can turn back around, she runs right into Ever. Anne hits the ground with a splat. Grim stops and helps her up "Thanks" She says, getting her balance. "Anytime" Grim says with a smile. Then he looks down and stares a the big muddy stain on the back of her jeans. Anne looks at him angrily "Are you staring at my butt?!" Grim holds his hands up in front of him defensively. "N-no, its not like that!" he stutters nervously.

"Check it out guys" Malinda says pointing ahead. Anne and Grim look up to see an old building with a big sign on the roof that reads 'Labinnac Hotel'.

The building was two story's high and could have been mistaken for a haunted house. With cracked wooden siding and half of the roofing tiles missing, it definitely wasn't a five star hotel.

"Hurry up guys" Ever says running toward the hotel. "Dude, are you insane? Look at that place" Grim says with a horrified expression. "I'm not going into that haunted house of death!"

"You watch to many horror movies, Grim" Malinda says dashing past. "B-but..." Grim trails off. "If you wanna stay out in the rain and get soaked, go ahead" Anne says following the other two. Grim try's to decide what to do, then there's a loud crack of thunder that helps him make a decision.
