Me and the guys were in the hallway together sitting at the bench talking and laughing.

Chase had an arm around my waist while I laid my head on his shoulder.

Soon Bree walked over to us with a smile on her face while she was holding a pamphlet in her hands.

"Hey, did you guys know we had a study abroad program?" Bree asked.

"Why would I go to another country to do something I don't do here?" Adam asked.

"That's true" I said as Leo and Chase nodded.

Bree just rolled her eyes at us before moving closer to us to show us the pamphlet that was in her hands.

"Look, it says you get to spend a whole semester at a high school in Australia. And guess what? I applied" Bree smiled.

I smiled back at her and nodded.

"Nice Bree, congrats" I said while smiling at her.

"Cool! Kelly Porter went last year. She got sucker punched by a kangaroo" Leo grinned, causing me to giggle.

"Well, all right, I guess we're going to Australia" Adam grinned.

The guys grinned and nodded as well but Bree shook her head at them, and well I already knew she was going to object to this.

"Uh, no, no, no. No way. This is my thing. I mean, I can finally be on my own. I can study, travel, make new friends..." Bree said.

Chase sighed as he shook his head and stood up from the bench.

"Mmm, I hate to be a wet blanket--" Chase started but Leo cut him off.

"No, you don't" Leo said in annoyance while shaking his head.

Chase glared at him before turning back to Bree.

"But Mr. Davenport is never gonna let you do this. You can't go on missions if you're halfway across the world" Chase said.

Ok, that's true.

No way she can study in another country and do missions at the same time. 

It's impossible.

"Well, sure I can. I mean, I haven't figured out all the details yet, but there's gotta be a way to make it work" Bree said.

"I mean Luna can always geo-leap you there and back here" Adam said.

Bree smiled and nodded.

"See, easy" Bree said.

"Yeah no sorry, as much as I would love to do that I have my own things to worry about. I can't always geo-leap you to Australia and back here" I said.

"See" Chase said, making Bree sigh and roll her eyes.

"Unless these three can unlock a new ability to make up for you not being here" Leo said while pointing to me, Adam and Chase.

"Ooh! Well, maybe I can unlock an ability where I disappear and reappear somewhere else. Let me try" Adam said.

He then got into a crouching position and started grunting.

We all looked at him weirdly as he continued doing it before reopening his eyes.

"Did it work?" Adam asked.

Chase smiled and shook his head.

Adam nods as he closes his eyes and starts grunting again. 

Chase turns to us with a smirk on his face and tells us to quietly follow him.

All four of us quickly walk around to the other side of Adam. 

Adam then opens his eyes to see that we're not where we previously were.

Then he turned around to see us behind him and a huge smile appeared on his face.

"You did it!" Chase yelled.

"Yeah!" Leo smiled.

"Whoo!" me and Bree cheered as Adam laughed while we continued cheering him on.

Back At Home

After school we all came back home and just hung out in the living room.

Adam and Bree were in the living room sitting on the couch while eating popcorn while me and Chase were in the kitchen eating some snacks.

Then dad walks in while holding his phone as he walks over to Adam and Bree.

"Bree, is there something you wanna tell me?" Dad asked.

"I got this" Adam said before standing up from the couch and placing his hand on dad's shoulder.

"Look, we all like you, but we think Tasha could've done better" Adam said before walking away.

Me and Chase laughed while dad scoffed and rolled his eyes.

"I just got a phone call that said you'd been accepted to study in Australia" Dad said.

Bree's eyes widened as a small smile appeared on her face as she got up from the couch.

"Wait—What? That's crazy! Did they mention what day I'm leaving?" Bree asked but dad shook his head.

"You're not going" Dad said.

"Why?!" Bree asked in shock.

"Come on, Bree! It was obvious. Even Adam saw that one coming" Chase said and I nodded.

"No idea what you're talking about. Already moved on to cold cuts" Adam said and I rolled my eyes.

"Of course you have" I scoffed.

"You can't abandon the team. What if Luna, Adam and Chase picked up and left for a month?" Dad asked.

"Well then, I wouldn't have to go to Australia" Bree said but dad shook his head.

"I wouldn't just be leaving you guys. I can super speed back any time you need me. Or Luna can just geo-leap me any time" Bree said.

"That's not the only issue. What about your bionics? Your training? Your capsule? And Luna can't always geo-leap you wherever you want because she has her own things going on" Dad said.

I nodded and gave Bree a look of a pity because I know she really wants to go to this program.

"Mr. Davenport, this is really important to me. Can't we at least discuss it?" Bree asked but dad shook his head.

"We just did. You're not studying abroad, End of conversation" Dad said as he walked away.

"This is so unfair!" Bree groaned in annoyance.

"Don't worry, Bree, I'll get you to Australia" Adam said.

He grabbed Bree's hand and closed his eyes and started grunting.

Of course Bree got annoyed and snatched her hand away from him.

I frowned, I feel really bad for her because this was something she really wanted to do but she can't because of missions.

A Few Hours Later

Right now me and Chase are sitting at the kitchen table doing homework while Adam was sitting on the couch watching T.V and dad was in the kitchen.

Soon Bree walked through the front door with a huge smile on her face.

"Guess who just got invited to the Panic Inferno concert tonight?" Bree asked.

"Ooh! Brendan Delaney?" Adam gasped while sitting up from the couch.

"Me! Caitlin doesn't want to go alone because she's totally devastated" Bree said.

"Why is she devastated?" Chase asked.

"Her boyfriend dumped her! Isn't that awesome?! Whoo!" Bree smiled while waving her hands around.

Chase gave her a small smile while looking at her weirdly while I stared at her in confusion.

"Wait, wait, wait. That bitch had a boyfriend?" I asked in shock and confusion.

This made Chase chuckle as he wrapped an arm around my shoulder and kissed my temple.

"Bree, I'm sorry, but you can't go. I have to extract your bionic chips tonight for a critical performance modification" Dad said.

Oh shit.

"Can't we do that tomorrow?" Bree asked but dad shook his head.

"No. I'm gone all day with a new product launch" Dad said, this made Bree mad and annoyed.

"Look, I wish I could go to the concert, too. You know I get the whole rock and roll thing!" Dad grinned.

Me, Adam and Chase looked at him weirdly.

"Uh, people who get the rock and roll thing don't say, I get the rock and roll thing" Chase said and I nodded.

"Come on, Mr. Davenport, can't I just--" Bree started but dad cut her off.

"No, I'm sorry, Bree, you can't go" Dad said before he left the room.

Bree slowly turned around with a look of anger and annoyance on her face.

"Being bionic is ruining my life. I can't go to the concert, I can't go to Australia, I can't do anything!" Bree yelled in annoyance.

"Well, you could go get me some juice" Adam shrugged.

Bree just glared at him before she slowly shook her head.

"No. You know what, I don't care. I am going to that concert!" Bree said as she walked towards the door.

"Bree, what are you doing you can't just--" I started but got cut off by her slamming the door shut. 

"Can you believe that?" Chase asked in annoyance.

"What I can't believe is Caitlin had a boyfriend" Adam chuckled.

"I know right" I nodded.

The three of us looked at each other and burst out laughing.

In The Lab

All three of us were down in the lab by the cyberdesk.

Chase was typing a few buttons along with Adam but it made Chase annoyed so he stopped him, making me giggle at the two brothers.

Soon dad walked in and we all walked over to him.

"Okay, guys, we don't have a lot of time, so let's get to work on your chips" Dad said and we all nodded.

Then all of a sudden he started looking around.

"Where's Bree?" Dad asked.

All three of us looked at each other in worry.

"Uh..." Chase said.

"Well...uh she-" I started but got cut off by Adam.

"She's at the Panic Inferno concert!" Adam blurted out.

Dad's eyes widened in shock as me and Chase looked at Adam in annoyance.

"Ugh! He broke me! This guy is good" Adam said while pointing to dad who looked really mad.

Dad quickly left the lab to go get Bree and can I just say she is going to be in trouble for going to that concert.

A few minutes later the lab doors opened as dad and Bree walked in as dad was dragging Bree by her arm.

"I can't believe you went to the concert when I specifically told you not to!" Dad said in anger.

"I cannot believe that you jumped on stage and begged every member of the band to sign your t-shirt!" Bree shot back.

I just rolled my eyes knowing that of course this is something dad would do.

"I most certainly did not!" Dad scoffed before turning around.

"I got all of 'em, didn't I? Huh?" Dad asked while pointing to the back of his shirt but Bree just rolled her eyes.

"Look, that's beside the point! You are in big trouble!" Dad said as he turned back around.

"Yeah, thanks for selling me out, guys!" Bree said while looking at us in annoyance.

"Blame Adam, not us" I said and Chase nodded.

"Oh, you have no idea what we went through! He grilled us!" Adam yelled.

Bree glared at him while dad looked him weirdly.

"I said, 'Where's Bree?'" Dad said and I nodded.

"At the concert. Oh, man, he got me again" Adam said while shaking his head.

We all just rolled our eyes at him before dad turned back to Bree.

"Look, because of you, we are three hours behind. Now the modification's gonna take all night. Now go get in your capsule so I can extract your chip" Dad said.

"Ugh, fine" Bree groaned as she superspeeded into her capsule as dad made his way to the cyberdesk.

"I don't know what has gotten into you lately. You can't just do whatever you want whenever you want" Dad said while shaking his head and pressing more buttons.

"Trust me, you have made that abundantly clear. My life is not my own" Bree sighed in annoyance.

I sighed as I laid my head on Chase's shoulder who didn't hesitate to wrap an arm around my waist and kiss my head.

Soon Bree's chip gets extracted as she takes it and steps out of her capsule.

"Here, my chip" Bree said as she roughly handed dad her chip who gently placed it on top of the console.

"All I want is a little control over what I do" Bree said.

"Yeah, well, you're part of a team. That's not gonna happen" Dad said.

Bree's eyes widened as she stared at him in shock.

"So that means I have to give up my entire life because of it?" Bree asked.

"Yeah!" Dad scoffed as he rolled his eyes and walked over to the cyberdesk.

"Well, if being bionic is going to stop me from having the life that I want...I don't wanna be bionic anymore" Bree said.

Me and the guys looked at each other in worry.

Then Bree picked up an object nearby and I quickly lifted my head from Chase's shoulder in worry.

"Bree, what are you doing?" I asked.

"Getting my freedom" Bree said as she lifted the object slightly in the air.

All of our eyes widened in fear when we knew what she was going to do.

"Bree no!" we all yelled as we tried to stop her but it was too late.

Bree smashed her chip repeatedly with the object with so much force and she didn't stop.

When she finally did we all stared at her with wide eyes and jaws dropped.

Bree just wrecked her chip.

It was silent for a good few minutes before dad spoke up.

"What did you do?!" Dad asked in shock and anger.

"Well, she smashed her--" Adam started but dad cut him off.

"I know what she did!" Dad yelled before looking back at Bree.

"How could you do that?" Dad asked.

"She picked up that--" Adam started but once again dad cut him off.

"I got it!" Dad snapped at him while I smacked him upside the head to get him to shut up.

"You have no idea what you've done" Dad said while shaking his head.

"I know exactly what I've done" Bree said.

"Ooh..." Adam and Chase said together.

"Then you know you've made the biggest mistake of your life" Dad said.

"Ooh...!" Adam and Chase once again said as I glared at them because it was getting annoying.

"Now help me find the rest of your chip so I can try to fix it" Dad said.

"You know what? No" Bree said while shaking her head.

"Ooh..." Adam and Chase said together a bit more louder.

I got annoyed so I smacked both of them upside their heads.

"Shut up or I will beat you both up later" I warned them and they immdeiately nodded.

"Excuse me?" Dad asked in shock.

"I said, no" Bree said.

Dad stared at her for a few seconds before looking at me and the guys.

"Adam, Chase, Pumpkin, can you leave us for a minute? I need to speak to Bree alone" Dad said.

The three of us nodded as we were about to leave but Bree shook her head and stopped us.

"No, stay. There's nothing left to talk about" Bree said while giving a dad a serious look before she walked out of the lab.

I sighed as me and the guys walked back to dad.

"Don't worry dad, I'll go talk to her" I said and before I could leave dad gently placed a hand on my shoulder and shook his head.

"No. If she doesn't want her bionic abilities, she's off the team" Dad said.

Me and the guys looked at each other, not really knowing what to say or do.

All I know is that Bree just made the biggest mistake of her life.

The Next Day

I was in the lab sitting on top of the cyberdesk while Leo was by his desk working on something that I don't know what.

Soon Bree walked in with a huge smile on her face.

"Leo, Luna, I just had the most awesome day. Now that I don't have bionics, I can do whatever I want, whenever I want" Bree smiled.

I scoffed and rolled my eyes at her while Leo looked up at her.

"Kinda busy. Can I get a rain check on caring?" Leo asked before going back to what he was doing.

"I just finally know what it feels like to be normal" Bree said as she looked at me before looking back at Leo.

"This morning I was supposed to meet Caitlin. I was an hour late. She's not talking to me. It's awesome!" Bree grinned.

Leo looked up at her with a look of annoyance on his face.

"It's a little bit early to cash in that rain check" Leo said.

I just rolled my eyes and continued looking at my phone.

I really don't have any guts to talk to Bree after what she did yesterday just because she wants to be normal.

Soon Adam walked in.

"Hey, Leo, did you tell me to keep your mom here or let her go out?" Adam asked.

Leo dropped what he was doing and looked at Adam with wide eyes.

"Keep her here!" Leo said.

"Ah! Could've gone either way" Adam chuckled.

Leo glared at him before getting out of his seat and running out of the lab.

Soon Bree and Adam started talking a bit but then dad and Chase walked in.

"Heads up. I just got a mission alert. There's a five-alarm fire at a chemical plant and the response team can't control it. Suit up" Dad said.

Me and the boys nodded as they got into their capsules.

I quickly superspeeded to my room and quickly got changed into my new mission suit and superspeeded back.

"We have to get ahead of this thing before it spreads" Dad said as he walked over to the wall screen and started typing.

"Chase, you're gonna scan satellite images and try to pinpoint anyone who's trapped. Adam, you'll knock down the compound wall and rescue them. Pumpkin, you'll geo-leap to any places we've missed and help anyone that's trapped and use your superspeed to create a vortex and put out the fire" Dad explained.

I nodded as Chase and Adam stepped out of their capsules and fully changed in their mission suits.

I'm a little bit excited since this will be my first mission.

I'm nervous but I'm confident that I can do this.

"Me? I'll come along with you guys and try to help any way I can" Dad said as he put on his jacket and sunglasses.

Me and the guys looked at each other before looking at dad with weird looks.

"Yeah, you can come on the mission, but not dressed like that" Chase said and I nodded.

"Yeah dad, the fire's already a tragedy, don't make it worse" I said.

Dad glared at us while rolling his eyes.

"Just go!" Dad yelled as the guys nodded and ran out of the lab.

Me and dad were about to leave but Bree stopped us.

"Well, what can I do?" Bree asked.

Is she serious right now?

Does she not remember she's not bionic anymore?

Dad took off his glasses and sighed at her.

"Nothing. You're not on the team anymore" Dad said as he ran out of the lab.

I looked at Bree and she looked at me with sad eyes.

I scoffed at her before running out of the lab to catch up with dad and the others.

A Few Hours Later
Back In The Lab

Alright, so the mission was somewhat of a success.

I say this because we barely made it out in time.

We were all covered in black ashes because of the fire and I hurt my arm because something fell on top of me when trying to save people and put out the fire with my speed.

Right now me and the guys were walking back into the lab while I was holding onto my bleeding arm.

Bree saw us and sighed in relief.

"Hey, guys. How was the mission?" Bree asked.

"Shit" I scoffed.

"Oh, it was terrible. You know, I was thinking about having my next birthday at a chemical plant, but now I just-- I just don't know" Adam sighed as he walked over to the couch.

"We rescued everyone, but the mission took twice as long. Even with Luna's geo-leap and superspeed it was hard. Adam, Luna and I barely made it out alive" Chase said.

"Like I said, it was shit" I scoffed.

"Yeah, and in case you're wondering, heat vision does not put out fires" Adam said and I rolled my eyes at him.

"Oh, well, I mean I'm sure it would've been just as dangerous if I had been there" Bree said with a small smile.

All three of us glared at her in annoyance and anger.

"No. If you had been there, your super speed and Luna's would've created a vortex and put out the fire instantly. Luna had to do that herself and it took more time because she was geo-leaping to rescure people" Chase explained.

I nodded as I crossed my arms and glared at her.

"Congratulations, Bree. I hope that being normal is worth it" I scoffed.

All three of us walked away to get cleaned up and for me to put something on my bleeding arm.

A Few Hours Later

After getting cleaned up and my arm healed up I changed back into the same clothes from before.

Me and the guys were in  the lab while me and Chase held hands.

We soon heard footsteps and turned around to see Bree walking in.

"You can probably guess why I'm here" Bree said.

"Luna, Chase and I didn't make it out of the fire and we're ghosts?!" Adam gasped in shock.

I just sighed and shook my head at my idiot of a best friend and brother.

"I owe you an apology" Bree said.

"Yeah, well, you should've apologized when we were alive!" Adam yelled at her and looked away.

"Look, I just wanted some freedom from being bionic. I never meant to put you guys in danger" Bree said.

"Well, you did" Chase said and I nodded.

"I know. I was just thinking about me, instead of us. We're a family... and I was being selfish and I'm really sorry. I want back in" Bree smiled.

Me and Chase smiled back at her and nodded.

"Good" I said.

"Whoa, wait a minute, we gotta vote on it. Hands? I'm looking for a three-fifths majority and someone to calculate it" Adam said while raising his hand.

"Adam, we don't have to vote" Chase said and I nodded.

"Yeah. Get out!" Adam yelled at her, causing Bree's eyes to widen.

Me and Chase gave Adam a look and he nodded while smiling.

"Oh, right, family, family, yadda-yadda, I got it. Bring it in" Adam chuckled.

We all laughed as we hugged each other.

Bree's back in.

The team is complete again.

Soon dad walked in and saw us hugging each other.

"What's going on?" Dad asked.

We pulled away from the hug as Bree walked over to him.

"Mr. Davenport, I messed up, and I'm sorry. I'm ready to be bionic again" Bree said.

Dad slightly smiled at her and nodded.

"Well, I'm glad you feel that way, but I can't do that" Dad said while shaking his head and walking away.

We all looked at him confused as we walked over to him.

"What do you mean? She apologized, and she wants back in" I said and the guys nodded.

"I didn't create your chip—my brother did. And now that it's damaged so badly, I can't duplicate it" Dad said.

Our eyes widened as Bree looked at dad in shock and sadness.

"Wait, what are you saying?" Bree asked.

"I don't know if you'll ever be bionic again" Dad sadly sighed.

We all looked at each other in shock, fear and worry.

We have to do something.

We need to get Bree's bionics back.

We have to.
