Chapter Fourty-Seven: Llama Drama

Luna's Pov

We were all in the lab getting ready for school.

I was putting my books into my bag along with everyone else.

"Come on guys, we need to get to school soon or we'll be late" I said while zipping up my bag.

"A few more minutes sweetheart" Chase said as he was placing his books in his bag.

Adam picked up a glass jar and smiled, "hey, can I use this? I need a place to store my toenail clippings" Adam asked.

"You save your toenails?" Leo asked.

"Of course. They're nature's toothpicks" Adam nodded and I gagged.

"You don't even want to know what he flosses with" Bree said and I shuddered in disgust.

"You really don't" Adam nodded in agreement.

"Hey, get away from that!" Chase yelled as he ran over to Adam and took the jar away from him.

"It's not empty! There are thousands of metallic nanobots in there!" Chase said.

"Well, then, why can't I see them?" Adam asked in confusion.

"Because they're microscopically small" Chase said.

"But you're microscopically small and I can still see you" Adam joked, causing me to snort.

"Nanobots are so tiny, they're invisible to the human eye" Chase said.

"Here, I'll show you. Put these on" Chase said as he handed Adam some glasses and he put them on.

"Whoa!" Adam said in shock.

"They function like mini-doctors inside the human body. When patients swallow them, they'll seek and destroy any diseased cells or foreign matter" Chase explained.

Adam then took off the glasses and smiled.

"Ooh! I got a tennis ball and a mini Statue of Liberty somewhere in my gut. It's time to swallow a search party" Adam grinned as he tried taking the jar from Chase but he pulled it away from him

"Adam, no! Those are valuable!" Chase yelled but Adam still tried taking the jar from him.

"Come on Luna and Leo, we don't want to step on broken glass" Bree said and we looked at her confused.

"What broken glass?" Leo asked.

"Gimme!" Chase yelled as him and Adam were fighting over the jar.

They were fighting for a few seconds before they both accidentally let go of the jar and it fell to the ground and shattered into pieces.

And the nanobots were released.

"Right" Leo said as he grabbed his bag.

I rolled my eyes as I grabbed my bag, "see you boys at school!" I yelled while walking out of the lab with Bree and Leo.

At School

I was in the school hallway with Adam and Chase.

I had my arm wrapped around Chase's waist as he had one arm wrapped around my shoulder.

We were walking until we spotted Dewey the Dingo.

"Why is Dewey the Dingo standing in the middle of the hallway?" Chase asked in confusion.

"Uh, I don't know, but I think it means we get six more weeks of winter" Adam said and I looked at him weirdly.

Then all of a sudden the lights turned off and a spotlight came on.

"What the hell is happening?" I asked.

"Ladies and gentlemen, introducing the principal, a four-foot-eleven spitfire from Portland, Maine. Terry Perry!" Principal Perry yelled but we didn't see her anywhere.

Soon Principal Perry ran out of her office wearing a headband as she clapped students hands and ran to the bench in the hallway.

"Just thought I'd spice up the morning announcements. Takes me back to my days of playing semi-pro ball in Romania" Principal Perry said as she started stretching.

She laughs before taking it off and turned to some random kid.

"Here ya go, kid. Souvenir" Principal Perry said with a smile as she tosses her headband to the student.

I cringed and shook my head.

"I'm sure you're all wondering why Dewey the Dingo is here. Every year before the big homecoming game against the Deerfield High Leapin' Llamas, some punk manages to steal Dewey. No matter where I put it, they always find a way to get it" Principal Perry explained.

"Maybe you should try wearing it. That'll keep people away" I mocked with a smirk.

Everyone in the hallway laughed while Principal Perry glared at me.

"Anywho, to make certain they don't take him this year, I'm assigning round-the-clock shifts" Principal Perry said as some random student handed her a clipboard.

Then she walks over to us and shoves the clipboard to Chase.

"Right. I'm gonna go hit the hot tub. Heard a couple things pop when I ran out here" Principal Perry said and I gave her a disgusted look.

She went back into her office while the students walked away.

"Two-man shifts, and she paired me with you" Chase scoffs.

"Mmm. Great. So we got one man. Who's the other one?" Adam asked with a smirk.

Chase glared at him while I rolled my eyes at him.

Adam walked away to use the bathroom, leaving me and Chase alone.

"Well at least I'm with you guys" I said while looking at the clipboard where it says my name as well.

"There's one good thing of doing this stupid job" Chase smiled as he pecked my lips, making me smile.

He pulled away but since we were alone for the time being I wanted more than a small peck on the lips.

I pulled him into another kiss and he immediately kissed me back.

I ran my hands through his hair and gave it a small tug which earned a moan from him.

He placed both hands on my ass and to my surprise he squeezed my ass, making me jump.

He smirked at my reaction and used that opportunity to deepen the kiss.

I moaned and blushed when he did that.

Soon we pulled away and started panting to catch our breath.

"You're an amazing kisser" I whispered to him.

He chuckled as he kissed my nose.

"And you're an amazing girlfriend" Chase whispered back to me.

I smiled and hugged him as he hugged back and I rested my head into his neck.

The Next Day

It was the next day and me, Adam and Chase were in the hallway wathcing the dingo once again.

Honestly it was annoying, but if it meant not going to class then I'll be here all day.

"This is a waste of time. I could be doing my homework!" Chase said in annoyance.

'And we could be making out somewhere without anyone distracting us' I thought in annoyance.

"I know, and I could be standing in front of a mirror, squishing my face to see how I'll look when I'm old" Adam said.

"Ooh! This is a week before my 53rd birthday" Adam said with a smile as he squishes his face.

"I'm going to the bathroom. Watch the dingo" Chase said to Adam as he walked away.

"I'll be back, I need to get my phone out of my locker" I said to Adam who nodded.

I walked away from him and headed to my locker.

I opened it and quickly scanned my locker until I spotted my phone.

I grabbed it and turned it on to check if I had any messgaes or calls but I only had one message and that was from dad.

I closed my locker and unlocked my phone and checked the message.

Nothing important, just dad asking what I want for dinner.

I texted him Steak and salad before turning off my phone and placing it in my locker.

I turned around and walked back over to Adam and just my luck since Chase had gotten out of the bathroom and was talking towards Adam as well.

But then to our shock the dingo was gone.

"Adam, what happened to the dingo?" Chase asked.

"Wh-- I don't know. I was helping the new kid, Griffin, with the vending machine" Adam said as he walked back over to us.

"What? There is no new kid named Griffin. He lied to you! He must have been from Deerfield. He stole the dingo!" I said in realization.

"He lied to me? Well, that doesn't sound like Griffin at all!" Adam said and I glared at him.

"Great. Now I have to go get the dingo back before Perry finds out. Once again, I have to clean up your mess!" Chase said in annoyance.

He was about to walk away but Adam stopped him.

"Wait, no. I'll sneak into Deerfield and get it back. My friend Griffin goes there. He can help me out" Adam said as he walked away.

"I really am this close to knocking him out with a textbook" I said in annoyance.

"You and me both sweetheart" Chase sighed.

In The Lab

Me and Chase made it back home and ran into the lab.

Adam was at the other school to get the dingo back while me and Chase were in the lab so we could communicate him through the ear pieces.

"Adam, have you found the dingo yet?" I asked him through my earpiece.

"No. I've checked everywhere but the locker room. It's got to be in here somewhere" Adam said.

"Okay, but be discreet" Chase said and I nodded.

"Right" Adam said.

Before we knew it we heard crashing from Adam's ear pierce and we both winced.

"That's on me for thinking you know what "discreet" means!" Chase yelled in annoyance into his earpiece.

"Dewey!" Adam gasped.

"Oh thank goodness you found him" I sighed in relief and Chase nodded.

"Shh! Someone's coming!" Adam said and I heard more noises and I'm guessing he found some place to hide.

A few seconds passed and we heard Adam speak again.

"Whew, that was close. D'oh!" Adam yelled once again.

"Alright, Adam hurry and get back to the school once the coast is clear" I said.

"We'll meet you there" Chase said and I nodded.

Me and Chase quickly took the earpieces off as we ran out of the lab to get back to school.

"Grab on bubba" I said.

He looked confused but I grabbed his hand and geo-leaped us back to the school.

We arrived at the front and I stopped and let go of Chase who look a bit dizzy.

"I sometimes forget that you have bionics now" Chase said while holding his head.

I rolled my eyes at him as we ran back inside the school

We waited for Adam to show up but he hasn't arrived yet and I was getting worried.

"Ah!" me and Chase yelled as we saw dewey the dingo literally walking up to us.

"Don't be scared. It's not a real dingo. It's me, your brother Adam, in a dingo costume" Adam said.

"Great, you got it back, but why are you wearing it?" Chase asked.

Adam sighed as he took off the dingo hat.

"Chase, you can't have a dingo costume and not put it on" Adam said.

"It's an unwritten rule. Sort of like how you don't have to wash your legs or feet because the shower water trickles down" Adam said.

We both looked at him weirdly.

"Yeah, yeah, okay, bye!" we heard Principal Perry say.

"Perry's coming!" Chase yelled.

Adam was quick to put the head back on his face and stand straight and made sure not to move.

"I just got off the phone with the principal over at Deerfield. He said that someone stole their llama" Principal Perry said.

Mine and Chase's eyes widened and I already have a feeling I know who stole their llama.

"I hope none of you were dumb enough to do that because it would be illegal" Principal Perry said while looking at all of us.

"And I can't have Johnny law breathing down my neck again!" Principal Perry said and me and Chase looked at her weirdly.

"Again?" I asked.

"Let's just say I'm on a lot of lists" Principal Perry said as she walked away.

"Adam, please tell me you did not bring their llama here" Chase said.

"Of course not" Adam said.

Adam quickly took the dingo outfit off and left it in it's original place as the three of us walked outside.

After checking to see that nobody was here I grabbed their arms and geo-leaped us to the lab.

Once we were in the lab me and Chase's eyes widened in shock when we saw that the llama was inside of the lab.

"I brought it here" Adam grinned.

Chase stared at Adamin shock while I glared at him.

"I can't believe you stole a llama and brought it here" Chase said in disbelief.

"Well, I couldn't bring it to school, it's the first place they'd look. Plus, I wanted to show it the house. Poor guy's stuck outdoors all day" Adam said.

"What were you thinking?" I asked in annoyance.

"I wanted to teach those Deerfield jerks that if they steal from us, there are consequences" Adam said.

"So you taught them a lesson about stealing by stealing?" Chase asked in confusion yet annoyance.

"I see your point. I stole their idea" Adam nodded.

"That's not what he was trying to tell you" I groaned in annoyance.

Soon the llama licked Chase's hand, causing him to cringe in disgust as he moved away from him.

"Uh! Gross!" Chase said.

"Ah. Yep, he's a licker. Like me" Adam said.

"I can tell" I said while rolling my eyes.

Then we heard a beep and we saw that it was Chase's watch.

"Oh, no. It's our turn to watch the dingo. Principal Perry thought we did such a good job, she rewarded us by giving us another shift!" Chase said.

"How the hell is that a reward?" I asked in annoyance.

"Ah. She's always thinking of us. What a giver" Adam said with a smile.

"What am I gonna do? I can't deal with the llama and go watch the dingo" Chase said.

"Hey, no worries. I'll watch the llama. I wanna see what he looks like in socks" Adam grinned but Chase immediately shook his head.

"No, no way, because it always starts out with socks, and it ends up with a llama in ski pants on a trampoline, and no one wants to see that!" Chase said and I nodded.

"Everybody wants to see that" Adam argued.

"All the same, we're not doing it. Go take care of the dingo, and I'll fix this" Chase said.

"I'll go with you so it doesn't get stolen, again" I said and Chase nodded.

"Fine. Just let me say goodbye to Lorenzo Llama" Adam said as he walked up to the llama and started petting it.

"Who's a good boy? You're a good boy" Adam said as he kissed the llama.

"Mm. Tastes like chicken" Adam grinned.

"Go!" Chase yelled.

"Come on" I said as I grabbed his hand.

Soon I geo-leaped the both of us back to school.

We walked back inside and stood next to the dingo the entire time as we waited for Chase to come back.

"How's going? What's up, man?" Adam said to random students that walked by us.

He looked at the dingo and gasps.

"I can't do that! You naughty dingo, you!" Adam scolded.

"Adam, Luna, we got a big problem!" Chase said in worry and I looked at him confused.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"We? It's not my fault your haircut makes you look like a lady golfer" Adam said.

I covered my mouth so I wouldn't burst out laughing while Chase rolled his eyes at him.

"What? No! The llama ate all of the nanobots!" Chase said and my eyes widened.

"What!" I yelled and he nodded.

"Their biology's different. There's no telling how it'll react" Chase said in worry.

"Why was the Deerfield llama outside straddling my Hatchback?" Principal Perry asked while walking in with the llama.

Me and Adam turned to Chase who was smiling nervously at us.

"He's full of highly unstable nanobots, and you brought him here?" I asked in shock and annoyance.

"Bet you wish we stuck to ski pants now" Adam chuckled.

Soon we turned around just in time to see the llama spitting on Principal Perry's face.

I covered a laugh that was about to escape my mouth with a cough.

"It's okay. I speak llama. When he spits, it just means he likes me" Principal Perry said.

"I highly doubt he likes you" I scoffed.

"FYI, if I spit on you, it does not mean I like you" Adam said to Chase who nodded.

Soon the llama starts getting restless.

"Oh whoa! He's gettin' frisky" Principal Perry said before turning to us.

"Worked a couple of rodeos during college. Nobody could stay on me for more than three seconds" Principal Perry laughed as she walked into her office.

All three of us cringed in disgust as I gagged.

"Adam, Luna, we have to do something" Chase said.

"Hey, Lorenzo ate the nanobots on your watch. This is your problem" Adam said and I smacked his arm.

"All right. Anybody who doesn't want to end up facedown and hogtied, out of my way!" Principal Perry yelled.

Soon she started swinging the lasso towards the llama.

"Yeehaw!" Principal Perry yelled as she managed to catch the llama with her rope.

The three of us ran forward and started watching Principal Perry fight the llama and she was losing.

"Get over here! Come on! I got ya!" Principal Perry yelled as she started dragging the llama with her but the llama is fighting back.

"Ohh! We got a fighter!" Principal Perry yelled.

The llama gains the upperhands and pulls her back towards him.

"Ah! Quit fighting!" Principal Perry yelled as she resumes to fighting him.

"This is comedy gold!" I yelled and everyone else nodded.

Soon Principal Perry came back with the llama, by the looks of it she had managed to tie it up with her lasso.

"He fought hard, but once I got his head in a leg lock, it was pretty much over" Principal Perry said.

The three of us just nodded as she handed the tip of the lasso over to Adam.

"Keep an eye on him, boys. He'll miss me. They always do" Principal Perry grinned as she walked away.

"I highly doubt he'd miss you at all" I scoffed.

Adam walked over to the bench and tied the rope there so that the llama wouldn't run away.

"Do you know how expensive those nanobots are? We gotta get them out!" Chase said.

"Well, how do you do it on humans?" Adam asked.

"You're supposed to extract them individually, but with this many, it could take days!" Chase said.

Then he presses his fingers against his temple and used his bionics to scan the llama.

He releases his fingers from his temple and by the looks of it he's really worried.

"Oh, no. Oh, no, a bunch of them are gathering in the salivary glands. They're preparing to activate!" Chase said.

"What does that mean?" I asked.

"It means that the next time he spits--" Chase started but was cut off by the llama spitting at a nearby door window.

My eyes widened in shock when I saw that the spot on the window door that the llama spit on was burnt.

"It'll leave a mark" Chase said.

Soon the llama is literally spitting acid everywhere and all the students are screaming and running in fear.

"Adam, we have to do something! Hurry, help me think!" Chase yelled.

Mine and Chase's eyes widened as he said that.

"Wow. That's something I never thought I'd say" Chase said.

"You and me both" I nodded.

"What do you want me to do? It's not like I can just pull an idea out of my head with an giant idea magnet" Adam said.

Just then an idea popped into Chase's head as he started smiling.

"Magnet! Yes! The nanobots are metallic. We can use a magnet to pull them out of the llama" Chase grinned.

"Adam, you are a geni--" Chase started but stopped when he realized what he was about to say.

"That was a good idea" Chase said and Adam smiled.

I don't know how but they managed to get themselves a magnet.

"Okay, hold up the magnet. I'll guide you" Chase said as he pressed his fingers against his temple and started scanning the llama.

"Okay, they're gathering in the femur" Chase said.

"Got it. And a femur would be a...?" Adam asked in confusion.

"Leg. Move it up" I said and Chase nodded.

"Okay, but I don't see how this is helping" Adam said as he lifted up his leg.

"No, Adam, the llama leg" Chase said.

Adam placed his leg down and went to the llama's leg.

"Now, bank left" Chase said.

Adam tried going left but he went right and just started getting confused about what to do.

"No, left. Left!" Chase yelled.

"My left or llama left?" Adam asked.

"The opposite of what you're doing left!" Chase snapped at him.

Adam finally started understanding what he was saying and started moving left.

"You're getting closer. Closer. Now move up. Pull up! Pull up!" Chase said as Adam started moving the magnet up.

When it was close to the llama's mouth Chase quickly ran over to the bench and grabbed a metal can and palced it in front of the llama's mouth.

Soon the llama burped out the nanobots into the can.

"Nice! Adam, thank you. You totally bailed me out" Chase smiled as him and Adam fist-bumped.

I hugged Chase and he hugged me back.

"Good news! Deerfield just wants their llama back, no questions asked" Principal Perry said as she walked out of her office.

"Walker, Muscles, Lady-Locks, get on it" Principal Perry ordered us.

I rolled my eyes at her as we walked over to the llama and tried getting it to move but didn't.

"He won't budge. I think there's something wrong with him" Adam said.

"Oh, no. Maybe we didn't get all the nanobots out" Chase said in worry.

"What do we do?" I asked.

"Quit stalling! There's nothing wrong with--" Principal Perry started but was cut off by the llama shooting fire out of its mouth and aiming for Principal Perry.

Our eyes widened when we saw that the top of Principal Perry's cowbow hat was burnt.

"Does that mean he likes you?" Adam asked with a smile.

Me and Chase laughed while Principal Perry glared at us.

We managed to get the llama back to it's original school.

So for the most part, everything turned out alright.
