Luna's Pov

I was in the lab with Leo and dad waiting for the trio to get back from their mission.

Soon the lab doors slid open and the trio entered with smiles on their faces.

"Mission accomplished" Bree said with a smile.

"Great job, guys. You saved that island from the biggest tropical storm in decades" Dad praised them.

"And, lucky for you, I brought home a whole bag of hairy fruit" Adam said with a smile as he dumped fruit all over the cyberdesk.

"Yeah, just be happy I made him put the pelican back" Bree said.

"Thank goodness for that" I muttered under my breath.

I smiled and walked over to Chase and kissed him softly on the lips.

"I'm glad you're safe. Amazing job on the mission" I said.

Chase smiled as he kissed my forehead, "thanks sweetheart" Chase said.

"Guys, that mission was the finest use of bionics to date. I think we can all agree that strength plus speed equals success" Dad said with a smile.

Adam and Bree grinned at each other and high-fived.

I frowned and lightly glared at dad.

Did he seriously just leave out Chase?

He helped just as much as they did.

"Uh...excuse me. Let's not forget the mastermind behind this entire thing" Chase said and I nodded.

"Oh, right. Let's give it up for our fearless leader..." Adam started and Chase smiled but Adam pointed to dad instead of him.

"Mr. Davenport! Whoo!" Adam said and Bree smiled along with dad.

"What? No! I was talking about me! I supervised the whole mission" Chase said and I nodded.

Come on, how could they leave out Chase like that.

"Yeah, but I think we all know who did the heavy lifting. I'll give you a hint: Starts with an "A", ends with an "M". There's a big "da" in the middle" Adam said.

We all looked at him weirdly.

"Okay, guys, it's me" Adam said and I rolled my eyes at him.

"Please, the real work happened up here" Chase said while pointing to his head.

"Chase, no offense, but your bionic brain is no match for our hustle--" Bree said while pointing at her.

"And muscle" Adam said with a smile while pointing at him.

"Ooh, that is a great team name!" Dad said with a smile.

"Hustle, Muscle and Ch...uscle" Dad said whiled pointing at Adam, Bree then Chase.

"Mm. Don't worry, we'll find you an 'ustle'" Dad said and I rolled my eyes at him.

Chase sighed in annoyance and sadness.

"I'm so tired of these two getting all of the attention because they have super speed and super strength. I never get any of the credit" Chase said.

"That is not true, Chase. They just have a lot of flash. But you're the glue that holds that flash together. You're...flash glue" Dad said.

"He's flash glue?" I asked in annoyance.

"Hey, I think I figured it out" Adam said and we all looked at him.

He grabbed a fruit and cracked it open with his forehead.

"Ahh...You're right, Chase. The real work does happen up here" Adam grinned.

Chase groaned in annoyance and walked away.

I glared at everyone before following behind him.

We both entered the elevator and once the doors closed I softly kissed Chase on the lips.

"Bubba, you are important to the team. You're always using your smarts to figure out a plan for any mission" I reassured him.

He smiled at me and sighed.

"I know sweetheart, I'm just tired of Adam and Bree getting the credit when I never do. I feel useless" Chase sighed.

I immediately cupped his face and pulled him into a passionate kiss.

He wrapped both arms around me and kissed back.

Soon the kiss started getting heated as we turned around and Chase pushed me up against the wall.

I let out a small groan when my back hit the wall but we still continued kissing.

Chase pinned both my arms by my sides as he took more control.

He deepened the kiss making me moan a bit too loud.

Soon we pulled away to catch our breath.

Chase slowly released my arms while holding onto my waist.

I smiled softly at him and caressed his cheek, "bubba, you aren't useless. You're special in so many ways. You're smart, nice, caring and cute. Those are the many reasons why I love you" I reassured him.

He smiled at me and kissed my nose.

"And I love you too sweetheart. So much" Chase said.

I giggled and pecked his lips one more time before bringing him into a hug.

The Next Day
In The Lab

It was the next day and all of us were in the lab together.

Chase was standing next to me with his arm wrapped around my shoulder and my arm wrapped around his waist as we listened to dad speak.

Dad was smiling like crazy while holding some invention in his hand.

"Okay, guys, say hello to my latest invention, the Cyro-blaster! This thing can freeze anything in a nanosecond" Dad explained.

"Bravo, Big D. You invented ice" Leo sarcastically said.

I giggled while dad glared at him.

"No, I invented a way for astronauts to travel to distant galaxies while frozen in suspended animation" Dad explained.

"Which is a fancy way of saying ice" I said and Leo nodded.

"All right, here, let me demonstrate" Dad said as he took the cup of water Adam was drinking from.

"You guys might want to step back because the ray from the Cyro-blaster freezes everything it touches" Dad warned us.

Once we all took a step back dad used his blaster and shot at the cup and soon it was frozen.

Dad smiled while we stared at him, not really surprised or anything.

"Can someone please tell this dude he's making ice?" Leo asked and we all nodded while dad rolled his eyes.

"Look, every space program in the world is going to want one of these. I just need the element to fuel them, cytanium" Dad explained while going up to the cyberdesk.

"And it's only found here" Dad said as he brought up a map from the console.

"I'm sending you on a mission to the most remote part of Antarctica" Dad said to the trio.

"As opposed to bustling downtown Antartica?" Bree asked.

"No worries, Mr. Davenport. We've been to way worse places than Antarctica" Chase said with a confident smile.

"Oh, yeah. Remember Bakersfield?" Adam asked and soon we all groaned in annoyance.

"Look, with your bionics, you should be able to swoop in and--" dad started but was soon cut off by an alarm going off.

We turn to the console to see a warning alert.

Dad quickly pulled it up and his eyes widened slightly.

"Oh, no. There's a massive storm headed there" Dad said.

"So, who cares? We just dealt with a storm" Chase shrugged, not seeing the big deal.

"No, this is a Category Five. It's much more dangerous. I can't believe this. I'm gonna have to call off the mission" Dad explained.

"Wha-- No! There's plenty of time before the center of the storm hits" Chase argued.

"It's just not worth the risk. I just hope the storm doesn't collapse the glacier" Dad argued back.

"But if that happens, you'll lose the cytanium forever" Chase said and dad nodded.

"I know" Dad sighed as he walked out of the lab.

"But we can do this" Chase said.

"Stand down, Flash-Glue. You heard the man. No one is going, not even Hustle and Muscle" Bree scoffed.

"Yeah bubba, you heard what dad said" I said.

"Yeah. And Muscle could use some help" Adam said.

We turned to look at him only to see the ice cup stuck to his tounge. Bree walked over to him and ripped it off his tounge.

"Aah! That hurt! Great, now I need some ice" Adam said as he put the cup back onto his tongue.

"Ah, that's so much better" Adam said with a smile.

"I've said this before and I'll say it again, you're a damn idiot" I said in annoyance as I walked out of the lab.

A Few Hours Later
Back In The Lab

Me and dad were in the lab talking when Adam and Bree walked in with worried looks.

"Hey, Luna. Mr. Davenport, have you seen Chase? He's not answering his phone, and his mission suit and gear are gone" Bree said.

"Whta?" Dad asked in shock.

"He's not here?" I asked in shock and worry.

"Yeah, I'm worried he was carried away by a small predatory bird" Adam said and I glared at him.

"Get him on the comm set now" Dad said.

Bree handed me an earpiece and started looking for Chase as I put my earpiece on.

"Got him" Bree said as she put him on and I could hear wind blowing.

'Where the hell is he?' I thought.

"Chase, where are you?" Dad asked.

"I'm at the cytanium site" Chase said and my eyes widened in shock and fear.

"What? I told you it was too dangerous. What are you doing?" Dad asked.

"I'm proving that even without super strength and super speed, I can still get the job done" Chase said.

"Bubba, you better get your ass back here or so help me I will superspeed there to drag you home and beat you up myself" I warned him.

The map soon started beeping and it was beeping in bad way and I could feel my knees growing weak.

"You're about to be trapped by a major storm. Get out of there now!" Dad yelled.

"It's okay, Mr. Davenport. I'm almost done. I just have to get the last of the samples" Chase reassured him.

"No. Abort and seek shelter. That's an order. That storm--" Dad started but was soon cut off by more loud noise.

"Bubba! Bubba!" I yelled.

Soon we all heard Chase screaming and my eyes widened in fear as his comm set cut out.

"Chase? Chase!" Dad yelled.

"Chase! Chase please answer!" I yelled as tears were close to coming out.

"There was a major avalanche at Chase's coordinates" Bree said in worry.

"He may still be alive, but we don't have much time" Dad said.

"Adam, let's go!" Bree yelled as they quickly grabbed their things and ran out of the lab.

I slowly turned to dad with small tears in my eyes.

"Dad...do you think he's ok?" I asked.

His face softened as he pulled me into a hug and gently stroked my hair.

"I hope so pumpkin, I really hope so" Dad sighed.

I returned the hug as I let out a small sob.

'Chase, please be alright' I thought.

A Few Hours Later

Me and dad were still in the lab with our earpieces in as we were talking to Adam and Bree who were now at the place Chase was last at.

"Any sign of him?" Dad asked through his ear piece.

"Nothing!" Bree yelled.

"I can't find the heat signature anywhere!" Adam yelled.

"Well, how can he not be here? This was Chase's exact location" Bree said in annoyance and worry.

"There's only one explanation: He met a family of Eskimos who took him in as their pet because he is the exact same size as a penguin" Adam said.

"Adam, if you were here right now I would've smacked you upside the head with my boot" I said in annoyance.

"He's not here. Let's move south" Bree suggested but dad shook his head.

"No, guys, that's it. There could be another avalanche any minute. I'm calling off the rescue" Dad said and I stared at him in shock and anger.

"What?!" Bree yelled.

"No way! I'm not leaving without my brother!" Adam yelled.

"And I'm not letting my boyfriend be in more danger than he already is" I said while glaring at dad.

"Wait! That's Chase's comm set. He was here. We have to keep looking!" Bree yelled.

'Oh thankgoodness, he's still alive' I thought in relief.

"Guys, I'm serious. Get out of there!" Dad yelled.

Soon we heard noises and my knees were beginning to grow weak again.

"Hey, there's that sound again" Adam said.

"Avalanche! Move!" Bree yelled.

All I heard was wind and loud noises but soon the comm cut off again.

I sighed in furstration and ran my hand through my hair.

'You guys better be alright' I thought.

A Few More Hours Later

Me and dad had enough of waiting for Adam and Bree and were going to look for them ourselves but we stopped in our tracks when they walked into the lab.

"Oh thank goodness" Dad sighed as he hugged Adam and I hugged Bree.

"Thank goodness you guys are alright" I said and Bree nodded.

"We're fine, but let's focus on finding Chase" Bree said and I nodded.

We all walked back into the lab together.

"Don't give up, guys. There's still a chance we can find him" Dad said.

We stopped in our tracks and our eyes widened in shock when we saw who was in the lab.

It was Chase.

He was alive.

"Chase!" Dad yelled in shock and relief.

"You're alive!" I yelled with a smile on my face.

Before any of us could walk up to him we heard movement from behind him.

Once again our eyes widened in shock and we froze in our spots when we saw who it was.

It was Douglas.

He was back and here at this very moment.

"It's Evil Uncle Daddy!" Adam gasped.

I glared at him and growled and activated my bionics so I could fight him if needed.

"Back away from him, Chase" Dad said but Douglas smirked and wrapped an arm around Chase's shoulder.

"It's too late, Donald. He's with me now" Douglas smirked.

Our eyes widened in shock and I turned to Chase who just gave us all a hard stare.

"Chase, what is he talking about?" Bree asked in shock.

"It's true. I've finally taken back what was stolen from me!" Douglas grinned.

I stared at Chase in shock but he just gave me and everyone else a hard stare.

"Chase...tell me this isn't true?" I asked him but he just ignored me.

Is my own boyfriend literally turning against us?

Soon the elevator doors opened and we saw Leo walking into the lab with the ice device thingy dad made earlier.

"All right, Big D. I know I'm not supposed to touch your stuff, but you know how sometimes things happen, and sometimes things happen when you really don't want to them happen and that just happens to be what just happened. Upstairs" Leo explained nervously.

Dad stared at him and did a hand motion as he pointed to Douglas.

Leo looked over and let out a girl scream when he saw Douglas.

I just ignored him and everyone else as I continued staring at Chase with a mad yet betrayed look but he wouldn't even look at me.

Tears slowly streamed down my face.

"Whatever you're up to, Douglas, you're not gonna get away with it" Dad said as he pulled me into a side hug.

We heard beeping sounds and looked down at the console.

Douglas grinned and took out a USB drive.

"I just did. The download's finished! I now have the power to give Chase all three bionic abilities. And now no one will be able to stop us!" Douglas grinned as he laughed.

I growled at him and before I can superspeed and attack him Chase spoke up.

"Actually, they can. That USB drive you're holding is completely useless" Chase said.

"What?! Well, then what just took an hour and a half to download?!" Douglas asked in confusion.

"A list of everything Adam's ever eaten" Chase said and Adam gasped.

"Not my Incredible Edibles!" Adam yelled.

My eyes widened in shock as I stared at Chase who finally looked at me and sent me a small smile.

"You double-crossed me!" Douglas yelled.

"Did you really think I would betray my own family? My own girlfriend?" Chase asked and I smiled at him.

"Well, it's always worked for me" Douglas shrugged.

"Even if you could offer me every ability there is, I would never go to your side. We're a team. And teams never quit on each other" Chase said while glaring at him.

All of us smiled at him and sighed in relief.

I began wiping my tears as I smiled at Chase.

He wasn't betraying us.

He was still with us and would never leave us.

'Thank gosh' I thought in relief.

"All right! You got me!" Douglas chuckled as he held up his hands in surrender.

"What do you say we just...put this all behind us and get down to the business of healing this family? Am I right? Bring it in, people. Let's hug it out!" Douglas suggested.

Adam smiled and went to hug him but me and dad held him back.

"Well, you know what they say...If you can't join 'em..." Douglas growls as he took out a weapon.

"Get down!" Chase yelled as we all quckly ducked.

Chase pushed Leo out of the way and grabbed the ice device from him and shot at Dogulas.

We all looked up to see Douglas frozen in a block of ice.

I smirked before running to Chase and hugging him really tight.

"I'm so glad you're back safe and sound" I whispered in his ear.

"Me too sweetheart" Chase whispered back.

"And if you ever scare me like that again I will not hesitate to beat your ass too, got it?" I asked.

"Yes mam" Chase nodded and I smirked.

We pulled away from the hug as the others walked over to us.

"Wow! You froze him! Um...Now, how exactly would someone go about unfreezing someone?" Leo asked while holding up the device.

"'Cause it is not the button located here, here, here, here or here" Leo said while pointing everywhere on the device.

"Mr. Davenport, I'm really sorry. I know that I should've warned you about Douglas. I just knew that if I could get him back here, then we could trap him for good" Chase explained.

Dad smiled at him and placed his arm on his shoulder.

"Good work, Chase. You make a great double agent" Dad praised and I nodded.

"Thank you. Oh, and I almost forgot" Chase said as he pulled out a small pouch from his pocket.

"Here's your cytanium" Chase said as he handed it to dad who smiled.

"Oh! Money, money, money, money, money!" Dad grinned while dancing before he stopped and cleared his throat.

"I'm sorry. I mean, thank you" Dad said and Chase nodded.

"So, what are we gonna do with frozen Uncle Dougie?" I asked.

"I don't know-- We could probably ship him off to one of my offshore facilities. Or we could get some rock salt and make the evilest batch of ice cream ever!" Dad explained.

"Mmm.." me and Adam grinned.

"Speaking of the "unfreeze" button..." Leo said and we all looked at him.

"We weren't speaking of the unfreeze button" Chase said in confusion as he wrapped one arm around my waist.

"Well, we probably should" Leo said.

Soon we all made it upstairs only to see Tasha and Janelle both frozen in a block of ice.

"Yep. They're frozen" Bree said and we all nodded.

"Ooh, ice! Mmm" Adam said as he went to lick it but we held him back.

"We have to fix this! Janelle's mom will be here any minute!" Leo said.

"Okay, I'll just use my heat vision" Adam said but Chase shook his head at him.

"No, then Janelle would see you using your bionics" Chase said.

"Not while she's frozen in suspended animation" I said and dad nodded.

"You heard the man! Light 'em up!" Leo said.

Adam nodded and got ready to turn on his heat vision but Leo stopped him.

"Oh, wait. On second thought, these ladies are gonna be really upset. I need a running start" Leo said as he quickly ran out the door.

Adam was going to start but dad stopped him too.

"Wait! Me, too!" Dad yelled as he quickly ran out the door as well.

Adam sighed before using his heat vision to unfreeze Tasha.

Once she was unfrozen he moved onto Janelle.

He quickly stopped once she was unfrozen.

"What...happened?!" Janelle asked.

"Leo happened" Tasha said in annoyance.

"Once again" I whispered to Chase who chuckled and kissed me on the cheek, making me smile.

As long as he was alright then I'm alright as well.
