"Evee is pregnant! Prince Harry is expecting his first child!"

Eveline Delamane is pregnant, no seriously this time.

While speculation of Prince Harry's first child kicked into gear two weeks ago, after their state visit to The Netherlands, where Evee magically disappeared off the earth the last day, Kensington Palace this morning confirmed the worst-kept secret in England and announced that the Duke and Duchess of Clarence and Avondale are expecting their first child.

"Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Clarence and Avondale are very pleased to announce that the Duchess of Clarence and Avondale is expecting a baby," The palace said in a statement this morning. "Her Royal Highness is due around Christmas 2018. The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and members of both families are delighted with the news. The couple thanks everybody for their on-going support."

The couple have made it no secret for their desire to start a family. Prince Harry stated in their joint interview of their engagement that he has been looking forward to becoming a father but would take it one step at the time. First marriage, then thinking about children.

Well, the thinking is over - and the speculation that has gripped royal watchers can end. If it's anything like the couple's wedding in March, of which millions of people watched it, the excitement is bound to build of the big day of the new royal's birth.

It has been rumoured that the Duchess of Clarence and Avondale had a severe case of morning sickness during the last month. Solo engagements have been annulled to prevent damage to mother and child.

This baby will be the third grandchild for the heir of the British Throne, Prince Charles and the late Diana, Princess of Wales. It will be the first child for the Duke and Duchess of Clarence and Avondale.
