You woke up. You sat up on the couch and rubbed your eyes. You remembered that today was the monster party. You then quickly got up and headed to the bathroom. You took a quick shower and changed into your tanktop. You took off the jacket and the scarf and put them in your bag. You then walked out of the bathroom and messaged Undyne about the party.

** Undying Undyne **

'Hey, Undyne when is the monster party today?'

'Hey, punk! I decided to tell everyone in the morning. I was gonna start it at 1 for Sans but I decided I would rather wake him up. He only wakes up if i'm there, fuhuhu!'

'Anyway, It's gonna start at 10 in the morning, so you should get ready.. Look at the time.'

'Anyways, I'm already over here, I'm setting up the stuff. Be here in 30 minutes!'

You looked at the phone and looked for Alphys's contact.

** Nerdy Awesome Dinooo (Alphys) **

'Hey, Alphys! Are you at the party rn?'

'Yeah. I'm helping Undyne with the decorations. It's pretty easy since she just carries me lmao. I kind of like it.. XD'

'Awesome! Is it the right time to come now?'

'Actually, yeah. We just finished the last decoration so the party is open rn. If you don't remember where it is, it's in the ruins at Toriel's house. She left the door open so everyone decided that's the best place for the party.'

'Peace! :p'

'Bye..'

You closed your phone and put it in your bag. You then walked to the kitchen and didn't see Papyrus. He was probably at the party already. You checked the time. '9:57 AM' The party probably started already. You then wanted to see if Sans was there so you got upstairs and went in front of his room. You twisted the doorknob and it was locked. You sighed and headed downstairs. You then left the house and headed towards the ruins.

You finally arrived at the dark basement. You were lucky because someone put lights in the basement. It was way easier to see. You knee still hurt from when you fell. You kept walking and you headed up the stairs. Most of the monsters were crowded in the living room, and the bedroom doors were locked. There were some monsters in the hallway. You spotted Papyrus, Undyne, Alphys, and Mettaton in the living room. You headed towards them. They all stopped talking and turned towards you when you stepped in the room. Papyrus quickly got up and hugged you. He sat back down and Undyne flashed a big smile at you.

"Took you long enough, punk."

"We can finally start." Undyne looked at Alphys and Alphys nodded.

"Alright, we got a few games to play. Is everyone h-here?" Alphys looked around the room.

"WHERE'S MY BROTHER?" Papyrus responded.

"sup." Sans showed up and walked beside you in perfect timing.

"Alright, let's get this party started!" Undyne yelled and then looked at Sans.

"Be glad I didn't have to wake you up."

"I am." Sans chuckled.

"Fuhuhu! First we're starting with truth or-" Undyne said and then Alphys cut her off.

"R-remember? That's the last o-one.." Alphys said quietly.

"Sorry."  "We'll start with.." Undyne took out a paper.

"Cooking contest!" "Wait.. Seriously, Papyrus?" Undyne then flashed a look at Papyrus.

"WHAT? I ENJOY COOKING!" Papyrus responded.

"Whatever. I will beat all of you losers anyway. LET'S START!" Undyne then looked in a bag near the table and took out enough spatulas and supplies for all of us. She gave each of us a spatula and a few other cooking supplies.

Sans didn't do anything until Undyne said, "Whoever wins decides what to do for the losers. We're gonna get in teams. If you don't do any work, I'll wake that person up everyday at 3 in the morning." Undyne flashed a smile and looked at Sans. Sans quickly got up from the floor and grabbed the cooking supplies.

"Alright. H-how do we know who's our t-teammate?" Alphys asked.

"Let's pick." Undyne responded while hugging Alphys. "I pick you."

Before Sans could respond, Mettaton spoke. "I pick Papyrus!" Mettaton then hugged Papyrus. You saw Sans narrow his eyes at Mettaton because you knew that Sans was gonna choose his brother. You could see in Sans's eyes that he has a certain 'thing' with Mettaton.

"welp." Was all Sans said.

"I'll just team with Sans." You said, you were kind of hoping to team with Sans anyway, because he was the one monster you were most friends with.

Undyne then said to pick what you were gonna make.

Everyone huddled and then you didn't know what to make. Sans suggested to make spaghetti, but you said that was probably what Papyrus was gonna make. You wanted to make something more interesting. You finally got an idea.

 "Maybe we should make Steak and Fries." "You good at cooking?" You whispered to Sans.

"No, but I am good at eating." Sans whispered.

You rolled your eyes and responded, "Steak and Chips it is."

Undyne then brought cooking tables and you and Sans ran to one. You both started to cook. You were halfway through to what you were making and you were thinking that you and Sans might actually win. Sans wanted to put some ketchup, so you decided to put some ketchup on the side after it was done. It might make it look better, anyway. You and Sans looked at the other player's food and Undyne had most of the food smashed. Papyrus looked like he was making Spaghetti and something else. You and Sans actually might win. Sans was surprisingly helping. He was making the fries while you were doing the steak. You and Sans brainstormed a few ideas and you both decided to put a smiley face made out of ketchup on the steak. The steak and the fries finally finished. You remembered to put your apron at the beginning, so you had it on. Sans reached for the fries and you got the steak. You then both put it on the same plate. You reached for the ketchup and poured it on the plate. You passed the ketchup to Sans so he can give himself credit. He then made the smiley face pretty good. You and Sans looked at everyone else. Papyrus accidentally threw a plate of spaghetti at Undyne. You and Sans both giggled.

"Looks like Undyne won't be having some SPEAR-getti tonight. Sans looked back at you.

You snickered and then burst out laughing. Sans was laughing too. You saw Sans getting ready for another pun.

"What a big mi-STEAK." Sans then whispered and chuckled. You then burst out laughing again. You then looked at Papyrus and Undyne almost destroyed his table. Alphys then touched Undyne's shoulder and she calmed down. Undyne and Alphys were making Fish and Cookies. Papyrus had to make a new spaghetti and Mettaton finished making Pizza. You and Sans were done. You looked at the timer and there was about a minute left. You and Sans both took the plate of food and brought it to the table. You and Sans then both sat down on chairs. Sans was cracking a few puns about food and you were laughing really hard. Then the other both teams finished at the same time. You saw that Sans was really confident, and that made you smile. You were confident as well. You noticed that Undyne and Alphys's cookies looked like Dinosaurs. Undyne then said that first there was points for the look and then there was points for the taste. Most of the monsters decided you and Sans's food looked the best. You did too. Undyne said that the taste got the most points and whoever's food tasted the best gets first. Undyne also said that you couldn't vote for yourself. So the final results were... Papyrus and Mettaton won. Undyne almost crushed the whole table and calmed down when Alphys said they would win in the other games. You and Sans got second.

"Atleast we got second." Sans looked at you.

"Eh, cooking is not really my thing." You responded.

"Me neither." Sans then looked at Undyne for the next game.

Undyne already finished putting the cooking tables away. "NEXT GAME IS....." Undyne laughed and then kept talking. "Fuhuhu! The next game is called Truth or Dare!" Undyne then laughed again. She sat down and patted the seat next to her for Alphys to sit. Papyrus sat down and Mettaton scooted next to him. You then sat down next to Mettaton and Sans was last so he sat next to you and Alphys.

"Who goes first?" Undyne asked.

Everyone was silent.

"Since almost all of you are sore losers, then we're playing spin the bottle." Undyne then took out a glass bottle from her pocket.

"C-Can we play the T-Truth or D-Dare version please?" Alphys looked at Undyne.

"Of course. I was planning to do that anyway." Undyne then spun the bottle. It landed on nothing, so she span it again. This time it landed on Papyrus.

"Truth or Dare." Undyne smirked at Papyrus.

"TRUTH! PAPYRUS IS VERY HONEST!" Papyrus responded.

"Oh, come on! You can't play! Whatever." Undyne then looked up for a few seconds, as if thinking. "Is it true that you were the one who stole all my spaghetti from my fridge?" Undyne then smirked at Papyrus.

Papyrus started sweating. "U-UH... Y- YES. I'M SORRY, UNDYNE!" Papyrus looked down.

"HOW DARE YOU!" Undyne stood up. She then sat down. "Nah, I really didn't care. It's okay, Papyrus." Undyne then laughed. "Your turn now."

Papyrus stopped sweating and spun the bottle. It landed on Alphys.

"TRUTH OR DARE, ALPHYS?" Papyrus looked at Alphys.

Alphys then started sweating. She looked at Undyne and sighed. "D-Dare."

"I DARE YOU TO KISS UNDYNE!" Papyrus laughed. "NYEH- HEH- HEH!"

Alphys started sweating even more and looked at Undyne. They both blushed a bit and then they both did a quick kiss.

"Aww!" You called out.

Alphys then spun too slowly and it landed on Mettaton.

"How many rounds left, Undyne?" Mettaton asked.

"Two."

"Thanks." Mettaton responded.

"Dare." Mettaton said before Alphys could speak.

"I d-dare you t-to dance w-with Papyrus." Alphys said.

Undyne then showed her hand to Alphys and Alphys high-fived it.

"Ooh, the game is getting spicy!" Undyne called out.

"This should be easy." Mettaton responded.

Mettaton then got up and reached out for Papyrus's hand and swirled him around. You decided to look at Sans because of your curiosity and he was narrowing his eyes. You saw Papyrus smiling a bit more than usual. You felt bad for Sans because he had to deal with this stuff. Mettaton danced with Papyrus for a minute and sat down. You saw Papyrus blush and you couldn't help but snicker. Mettaton then spun the bottle and it landed on Papyrus again.

"TRUTH." Papyrus said.

"Was it true that you liked that dance, darling?" Mettaton smiled.

Papyrus nodded.

"I'm glad." Mettaton looked away and smiled too.

"Last round." Undyne said.

Papyrus spun the bottle and it landed on you.

"TRUTH OR DARE, HUMAN?" Papyrus looked at you.

You decided to say dare so you wouldn't piss Undyne off.

"Dare." You smiled.

"I dare you eat Undyne's spaghetti." Papyrus laughed.

Undyne clenched her fists.

"Alright, I'll eat it later." You said to stop Undyne from smashing Papyrus in half.

"What's the next game?" You stood up.

Undyne and Alphys's team won since they said more dares.

"The next game is... Hide and seek!" Undyne said firmly.

You laughed. This should be fun.

There was 3 rounds. Whoever hid last and/or seeked the most people as seeker won. The points added up at the end.

"Oh no.." Papyrus said. "I'm not good at this.. Nyoo- hoo -hoo!"

Mettaton then came up to Papyrus and hugged him.

You swear you saw something happen to Sans for a second, but it might've been your imagination. Undyne and Alphys were seekers first. Undyne said that you and your teammate had to hide together so you quickly whispered and told Sans you knew a hiding spot. You spotted Mettaton behind the couch with Papyrus as they ducked. You unlocked the door of the bedroom you slept in before when Toriel gave you the butterscotch pie. You then went in the bedroom and pushed the bed a little bit up. It was a small space, but it was barely visible. You hid behind the bed and pushed it a little back. It was a barely visible spot since the dresser was on the side. You and Sans had to duck a bit. You and Sans both giggled knowing the spot was pretty hard to find. You heard Undyne in the living room yelling.

"By the way, if we catch the first hider, the last hiders have to hide for 45 seconds and if we can't find them in 45 seconds, then they win."

You then got an idea. Since there was a wood wall in the corner of the room, you grabbed it and then ran outside the room. You opened Toriel's door so it wouldn't be too obvious and then got the wood wall ( it was a small wood wall, like two small planks on top of each other ) and put it in the back of the bed in front of you and Sans. So if Undyne would lift the bed, she would see a wall that looks normal.

'READY OR NOT, WE'RE COMING!'

You heard banging in the other room as well as, "UNDYNE! NO CARRYING FURNITURE, THAT'S CHEATING!"

You and Sans both giggled quietly and high-fived each other. Undyne then came about 30 seconds later. Once she came in the room, you and Sans didn't move a muscle. You saw her carry the bed up without Papyrus knowing, and then she went to the other room as she said, "Not here." 10 seconds later she then said, "Alright, you win. Where were you?" You and Sans stood up and you both giggled. When Undyne spotted you she whined.

"Aww man!" "Good hiding spot though, punk! Who got the idea?"

Sans then pointed at me.

"No.. Sans actually gave me the idea." You responded.

"Alright, next round!" Undyne called out.

Papyrus and Mettaton started counting.

You didn't know where to hide this time. Sans then told you to follow him. You followed Sans and he opened the kitchen cupboard. You looked at him in confusion. He then gestured you to get inside. You fit since you were a few inches smaller than Sans for some reason.. You and Sans both got in the cupboard. Sans then closed it. You were confident you would win, mostly because you were on the top cupboard. Sans then grabbed some ketchup from his pocket and drank it. You and Sans both giggled quietly. You then heard Papyrus.

'1!'

"We're coming!"

You then heard running footsteps. It had been 2 minutes. Then you heard the sound of rustling.

"I found you, Undyne!" You heard Papyrus say.

"Found you both!" Papyrus then said.

"Then don't waste time and don't let the other guys win!" You heard Undyne say and then you hear a clanking sound.

"UNDYNE!" You heard Papyrus yell.

"Sorry!" Undyne said back.

"Hurry up and find them!" Undyne then said.

You were about to giggle and you covered your own mouth. You looked at Sans and you saw that he was trying not to laugh as well.

About half a minute later, you heard fast footsteps.

"I GIVE UP! WHERE ARE YOU GUYS?" Papyrus yelled from the living room.

Sans then opened the wood cabinet and you and Sans both rolled out of it. You were finally out and weren't scrunched up anymore. You smirked at Papyrus and Undyne walked beside Papyrus.

"What the-" Undyne said.

"I guess you can say my idea was.. OAK-ay." Sans said as he pressured the word 'oak' and chuckled.

You giggled along with Sans and then you forgot about Papyrus.

"SANS, NOT THE TIME FOR PUNS! I FINALLY THOUGHT THIS PARTY WOULD STOP YOUR PUNS!" Papyrus looked at Sans in anger and stopped being angry once Mettaton put his arm on Papyrus's shoulder. Papyrus blushed a bit and Sans was silent. Undyne then ruined the silence.

"NOW FOR THE FINAL GAME! Since you guys won both rounds, then being seeker won't matter. ON TO THE FINAL GAME!"

"IT'S CALLED KARAOKE- wait... Seriously, Mettaton? Karaoke Party?" Undyne flashed Mettaton a look.

"Whatever. In this game you have to sing and dance a song with your teammate." "Not bad." "The rules are..."

"Atleast both of the singers have to sing a few lines.. and both singers have to dance a few times." "That's it." Undyne looked at the paper in confusion and then smiled. She then looked up and grabbed Alphys's hand.

"This will be easy!" Undyne yelled.

You then looked at Sans. "Sans, if we win we can give them all a punishment."

Sans chuckled. "I know Y/N. I know."

"I'm not a good singer.." Sans admitted.

"It's fine, if we try maybe be can sing better than Mettaton. I highly doubt it though. You also don't want Undyne to pick the losers's punishment." You whispered.

"What song are we gonna do though?" Sans whispered back.

"I know." You smiled.

First, Undyne and Alphys went. They sang a song called, "Too Little Too Late"

Then it was Papyrus and Mettaton's turn. They said they were making a song that already existed but with lyrics. They were singing "Death By Glamour" but with lyrics. Smart.

Then it was you and Sans turn. You were excited, but also nervous. You smiled knowing what the song is.

"This song is called.."

"Drop Pop Candy." You said.

"I don't know this song.." Sans whispered to me.

"Then make up your own lyrics. The song is cheerful." You whispered back.

( If you play the video now it would make sense, it's a really good song in this case you were Papyrus, and you weren't saying the cute 'Nyeh' Papyrus says, you weren't saying anything till' Papyrus's solo and the blue moon part which is my favorite )

The music started picking up and you saw Sans sweating in the corner of your eye. You gave the microphone to him and put the tutu in your bag on for dancing. Sans didn't know what to say and he calmed down not wanting to lose the bet. Sans sighed and started singing.

"Umbrella at your side, it's raining but you close it tight."

You then walked next to Sans and shared the microphone.

"And how are you, purred the cat just passing through."

Sans then smiled a bit.

"Those heels that you like are soaking but is that alright?"

"Let out a sigh for another day the same as the last, come on let's try, dye it blue and change it up from the past reflecting up, from the puddle and then gone in a flash is that the most you can ever dream of or wanted to see?"

Sans then stopped sweating and started to get used to it.

"But look around,"

You smiled.

"Dance up and down,"

Sans holded the microphone between you and him.

"The world is now,"

You decided to dance a bit.

"Still going round."

Sans danced a little, not too much, he just sang.

"Just feel it pound."

You sang.

"We're skyward bound."

You then both sang together.

"Move at the top speed of sound.."

( Time skip to the moon part because this is cringe-worthy and the moon part is my favorite part and you guys are probably annoyed at me sorryyyy )

After we sang together the rest and the music rested down a bit, Sans decided to change it up a bit.

"Shining down on me, you're my blue moon"

"Dreaming forever to find now, I'm awake"

"I need to find tomorrow, can you take me away and go the"

We both sang together.

"Top speed of sound?"

Sans then began to sing with you at this point. You enjoyed it.

"Running to another day, I wanna break away and take the leap"

"You're always gonna be there too, we're always singing the same tune, from everyday and now on.."

Then the music began to end.

All the monsters started to look at you and Sans in awe, especially Mettaton.

It was silent. You were nervous. A few seconds later, all the monsters were clapping. Even Undyne.

"That was cool, punk! And Sans, I didn't know you could sing!" Undyne looked at you, then at Sans.

You looked over at Sans and his face was blue. He probably never done this before. You were fine until you glanced at Mettaton. Mettaton had a camera out and when you looked at him, your face felt hot. You then walked towards where everyone was standing up, and you sat down next to everyone. Sans then sat down next to you.

"You guys won this one, for sure! That song was amazing! What's it called?" Undyne said.

"S-Sans actually didn't know the song. He made up his own lyrics. I didn't even know the song had lyrics either, we just made the lyrics as we went along." You looked at Undyne while sitting.

"This is going on the Undernet, darling!" Mettaton said as he put the camera down. 

You blushed. "What- I don't-" It was no use.

You noticed something. That was the first time Sans ever cared about something. He usually is like, "I don't care." but this time he was nervous. Huh. He must really be shy at singing and dancing.

"Well, you guys win. That was better than some of Met's songs!" Undyne said.

"Y- Yeah, that was really good." Alphys responded.

"Welp, time to pick your punishments." Sans changed the topic.

"Give me a moment." Sans said as he gestured you to follow him.

You both headed to the end of the hallway, where the mirror is. You looked in the mirror when you were next to Sans. You swore you saw something sparkle for a second, but might've been your imagination.

Sans then whispered, "We should say 'We'll do it later' To pressure them. There's nothing worse than pressuring someone and they think about the punishment every day, right?" Sans then laughed. You giggled after and started walking back to the living room.

"Yeah. We'll do it." You said as you walked in the living room.

"SERIOUSLY? YOU'RE GONNA DO IT LIKE THAT?! I HATE YOU!" Undyne almost smashed the table.

"Oh, dear." Mettaton said.

"Well, that's all the games. Now let's eat." Alphys didn't stutter.

Mettaton then got the food we cooked and put them each on the plate evenly. We all ate. Sans then commented on how eating the food was his favorite part about the party, and then you all had a good feast and talked. This was the best time you've ever had. After the feast, you all talked about stuff and had a good time. Then Undyne looked at her watch.

"Me and Alphys should get going. We have stuff to plan to and it's getting late. It's already 10 PM. Bye, guys!" Undyne said as she grabbed Alphys's hand and walked into the basement.

"WE SHOULD GET GOING TOO. BYE METTATON!" Papyrus said and he gestured you and Sans to come down to the basement. As you were walking, you were telling Papyrus and Sans that you had an amazing time.

"That was the best time I've ever had! The games were so fun, and the feast!"

Sans chuckled and Papyrus smiled.

You then arrived at the house. You were exhausted from all the running and singing. You then layed down on the couch. What a great day. You were all jumpy and excited. Papyrus then headed to his room and closed the door.

"Had a good day, huh?" Sans looked at you.

You nodded and smiled.

"Y'know, I had a good time too. Haven't had one of those in a while." Sans then walked up the stairs.

"Night, Y/N." Sans said as he walked to his room.

"Night, Sans." You responded.

You then heard something from your bag. You brought your bag closer to the couch and you looked inside your bag. Your phone didn't ring. You heard more of like a crystallized distorted sound. You then shrugged it off, knowing that you were really tired. You closed your eyes and you fell asleep.

You saw the blue light. Very close.
