My door is open.
And even if it were to be locked,
You'd still have the key.
I think you know you have the key too.
That's possibly why you won't use it.

Because using the key doesn't just open the door to me;
It opens to you.
And I think you're afraid.
Afraid that by opening the door, you'll let in the cold.
So you keep the key in the lock.
Making it impossible to open, as you just sit by the unlit fireplace.
Just you, and the empty,dark night.

But I'll keep knocking, till I'm tired. Hoping you'll let me in.
I can feel the cold air out here, but I promise I'd never bring that with me.
