Point of View: Logan, Third Person
Timeline: Flashback (cont.)

"Oh my goodness!" Patton jumped up from his place on the couch, setting his laptop down next to him.  "Oh gosh, Lo! I was so worried!"

"I am quite alright, Patton," Logan closed the door and umbrella, leaning it against the hallway wall.

"You're soaked!" Patton's eyebrows pinched together in concern, reaching forward and gently pressing the palm of his hand to Logan's cheek.  "Goodness - you're freezing! Wait right here, I'll grab you a towel to dry off," Patton fussed, jogging to the closet to find one of their beach towels.

Logan did as he asked, eyes involuntarily drifting toward the umbrella that Dee has given him.  It had helped, even though he was still pretty much drenched.  At least the umbrella had prevented rain from landing on his glasses and blinding him completely.

"Here ya go," Patton jogged forward, holding two towels, one Patton's bright blue beach towel, the other Logan's own navy one.  He threw Logan's hastily around his shoulders.  Patton placed the second towel on the floor (a small puddle was starting to form on the tile where Logan was standing).

"Patton, truly, it is only rain.  I'm fine," Logan tried to calm his friend, but couldn't help shivering.

Patton wasn't convinced.  "You shoulda called, I woulda driven to pick you up," he stated, taking off his cat hoodie and using as a makeshift towel to help dry Logan's damp hair.

"Please Patton," Logan rolled his eyes, holding the towel around his shoulders closer.  "It would not have been safe for you to drive all that way in these conditions.  You could've gotten caught in the storm or be in an accident.  And I would have been soaked either way," Logan commented, shivering again.

Patton pouted.  "I coulda at least met you at the bus stop.  Oh, I'm so sorry - gosh, I'm so stupid," Patton frowned.

"Patton," Logan coaxed gently.  "Don't blame yourself.  If I had wanted you to pick me up from the bus stop, I would have called."

"Logan, it doesn't hurt to ask for help."

"I know."

"You shouldn't have been outside in - in that!" He chastised.  "You know that just as well as I do, Lo."

Logan didn't even bother with a response.

"I'm gonna grab you a change of clothes and then make something to help warm ya up," Patton declared, going back to the closet and grabbing another towel - Roman's bright red one - and tossing it to him.

Logan nodded in acknowledgement and defeat as Patton jogged upstairs.  He sighed, tossing his own soaked towel to the floor next to the umbrella and the towel under his feet.

That man, Dee... there was something about him.  Perhaps it was just that Dee was quite an interesting persona, perhaps it was his unexpected kindness.  Or perhaps it was his last words, about seeing Logan again.  How did Dee know that they would run into each other again?

Logan smiled fondly at the umbrella. Well if he wanted to get Logan's attention, he'd succeeded.

Logan couldn't wait to see him again.
