Pre War

Customs: Large families live in what will currently be called herds, due to a major loss in documentation for the Ryn's former history, and they function much like wolf packs. By that I mean the parents are in charge of the rest and the herd grows in power by their grown children marrying, in a sense, to another big herd, which does a chain affect of adding more allies/family members. We do have some information on the major herds holding power but they aren't worth mentioning here. Ryn tend to be family oriented and anyone who lives as a loner or doesn't care for family is viewed as strange. Due to the eldest, mainly the parents in this case, having main control over the entire families there wasn't any need for government.

Language: We have no knowledge of the Ryn's spoken language but have uncovered and translated their written alphabet.

Values: They value family and loyalty, along with traits that are special to each region or family, they especially value being loyal to the elements/gods (those will be explained in the next chapter.

Superstitions: [I have no ideas, feel free to suggest any!]

Technology: They had limited technology, similar to medieval level tools. Though they built no castles or unnatural buildings of any sorts. They also had excellent medical understanding.

Post War
----
Customs: They live in smaller and looser herds but don't focus on gaining more allies anymore. The eldest, parents, still hold a considerable amount of control over their descendants though. Due to higher populations and looser family control there did have to be some form of overall control though. So there is now a council of wise elders, either in age or mind, that hold power to make decisions on very important matters. Family is still held as important but being a loner is more commonly accepted now days.

Language: Due to a massive loss in knowledge of the past all Ryn speak different Earth languages, many learning English.

Values: They still hold family and loyalty in value but to a lesser degree, anyone who has traits reminiscent of the past Ryn is held as having a special destiny, and there are now many diverse religions believed in by different Ryn so the original beliefs are not held in as much high regard.

Superstitions: [They would likely hold belief in some of them while others were discarded or lost to time.]

Technology: They have access to modern technology but have limited access to it due to the cost of getting it. They have many concrete buildings, usually apartments and houses with poor conditions.
