The bat cave

A/n: slightly NSFW implications. Maybe a part two in my lemons book is needed...

Prompt: you own an alternative club called (y/n)s bat cave. Once kira hits a world, a regular starts to show up.

Flicking the switch, you watched the red neon sign on the roof light up. (Y/n)s bat cave, it read. Light up bats coming off the top. You turned on all the music equipment, got the bar ready, and one by one your employees started to show up.

"Alright baby bats, you know the dill. Kick out any creeps, watch for people trying to drug drinks, be on guard for any girls using the secret code and escort them to their car if needed. And as always, we play welcome to the black parade at the closing song nightly. Get to your stations" you said.

Your staff went to their stations, ready for the night to start. People lined up outside, bouncers checking their IDs. And when the clocks hit 8pm, doors opened. You were doing some bar work today, serving drinks and such.

Emos, goths, scene kids, punks you name it, they came here. The music choice and decor of light up spider webs, coffin shaped shelves and band logos spray painted on the walls appealed to them more than some boring normie club. Even the drinks and food had spooky themes.

You loved the community your club had, kandi trading, ganging up on creeps, friendly people ready to help and a safe place for all kinds of alt kids of any race, gender or sexuality. You were very proud of your work to make the bat cave a good place.

Your punkest employee, who everyone called widow tapped you on the shoulder. When you turned you were able to see her outfit up close for the first time that night.

"Woah that's a lot of chains" you said.

"Yeah thought I'd make myself look more intimidating to potential creeps. Anyway your regular is back" she said.

You looked down the end of the bar, seeing him looking rather gloomy.

"I'll serve him, you get these girls coming over"

You walked up to your regular, a toned down emo by the name Ryuzaki. He showed up the first time almost a year ago, asked for the sweetest most alcoholic thing you had. That drink was known as strawberry blood. Strawberry flavoured sparking rum dyed black. He had three glasses and got smashed, cried on the bar top for hours over how stressed he was until you had to take him to the back room to sober up.

Turns out he was a detective, and the Kira case was making his job very hard. Ever since then he showed up every weekend. He only drinks when something bad or stressful has happened, other times he just comes to listen to the music and 'remember his MySpace days' as he puts it. He also likes the cakes you have, gets one every time he's here.

"You're back" you said.

"As usual" he replied.

"What will it be today, same as usual?"

"Add a strawberry blood to that"

"Oh no, what's happened?"

You better keep an eye on him so he doesn't get smashed again. If he's ordering alcohol, something bad happened.

"I'm so sick of Kira. He's making every damn detectives job so hard" he sighed.

"Yikes. Can't imagine how bad the kira taskforce have it" you replied, grabbing the things for his drink.

"Yeah... can't imagine..."

Pouring and mixing his drink, he slid the cash over the counter and you stuffed it in the register. You slid the drink over but before you let him take it you paused.

"You better not get wasted again" you said.

"No thank you... I learnt my lesson"

"That was quite the meltdown..."

"I still don't remember half the stuff I said that night" he replied, sipping his drink.

"Mainly just incoherent sobbing about 'Kira's a fucking dick' and 'I wanna go home"

"Sounds about right, I still wanna go home. Can't because of this fucking case though"

"You from overseas?"

"England"

You were about to respond when you heard a glass smash. You both looked up, seeing a fight had broken out on the dance floor, someone very drunk and someone tipsy but coherent. The drunk one having smashed his bottle and threatening to cut the other one.

"Hold on" you sighed.

Jumping over the bar, you called for the nearest guard. You both pulled the two guys apart, a crowd having formed around you.

"Hey- fuCK YOU- GET OFF" the drunk one slurred.

"NOT IN MY FUCKING CLUB MATE" you yelled back over the music.

The guard managed to get the tipsy one out of the crowd and over to the door to be kicked out. The drunk one tried to fight against you, but you'd dealt with fights like this before. You kicked his legs making him fall and pinned him to the floor, the rest of the bottle smashing on the floor when he dropped it. Placing your platform boot on his neck and holding his hand behind his back, you had him beat.

"Fuck OFF ME BITCH-" he yelled.

"This is my club dude, and you'll never be coming back. Not with that language and behaviour, Jesus you're a grown man fucking act like it"

The guard came over to help you drag him out the side door to kick him out. As he was tossed out, and the door closed on him, the crowd clapped for you. Every time someone like that happened it earned a clap. Although it'd been a good long while since you'd had to pin someone down.

Some of the customers were already picking up the glass.

"Guys, I appreciate the help but we got this. Just stay out of this area until we've cleaned it all up" you said.

"I've got it" one of the bar tenders said, walking over with a dustpan and broom.

You jumped back over the bar where Ryuzaki gave you an impressed look. He hadn't seen you have to throw someone down yet.

"That was... impressive" he said.

"Stepping on people is just part of the job" you shrugged.

"Do those boots... hurt? Like when yet get stepped on"

"Only if I press hard enough"

He sipped the remaining of his drink. If the lighting around the bar wasn't red, you'd be able to see his flushed face.

"You're pretty strong huh?" He said.

"I guess, that just comes with owning a club and having to wrestle people out from time to time" You replied, cleaning off some glasses.

"Did you... put more rum than usual in this?" He asked.

"No it's the same as usual, why you getting tipsy already?" You smirked.

"I dunno, maybe"

"Well it is the most alcoholic drink on the menu, maybe you're becoming a lightweight"

"I haven't drunk in a while... maybe that's why..."

You grabbed a towel, starting to dry off all the glasses and stack them on the shelves.

"So... have you done martial arts or something?" He asked.

"Nope, just used to fighting drunk people" you replied.

"Really? Your technique is pretty good... you managed to get him down pretty fast"

You froze for a moment, realising. You saw what was going on now... maybe it was the fact he's slightly tipsy but it seems he was clearly into strong girls that could crush him in one hand and after seeing you knock someone down so fast he got... curious we'll say.

Maybe that's why he comes every weekend even though he doesn't drink or dance. He just wants to see you. Looks like your regular has a little crush.

"You know Ryuzaki..." you began.

"Yeah?"

"We close a bit early today because there's some maintenance work being done tomorrow morning..."

"What time?"

"1am"

You leaned on the counter in front of him, giving him a smirk. You watched his body language get shy.

"Why don't we get super tipsy but not completely drunk, you come back to my place and I can show you what it's like to be pinned down?"

He was silent for a moment, starting at you in slight shock you were so straight forward. But... there was a reason he was a regular. Usually he'd be more... professional with his words. But he'd just downed the most alcoholic drink on the menu and was already getting tipsy. Meaning he no longer had much of a filter.

"Yes fucking please"
