•he's always been a classical musician. Piano and violin are something he knows very well and he'd always been a big fan of classical music.
-his favourites are things like swan lake, the nutcracker, the corpse brides piano duet, any pretty much anything that has a sad yet romantic vibe to it.

•music is one of the only ways he knows how to express emotions.

•he's always been a bit self conscious. He prefers long clothes as they hide his skin more. Less scars to be seen.

•taking cases involving children make him sad. He does it anyway for the child's sake. But the amount of hatred in his veins when he has to chase a child murderer, abuser or kidnapper is strong as that of an erupting volcano. He's been in an orphanage, he's seen an experienced the pain of being a child that's been hurt. He can never look at someone who hurts children as human. Even if he's not too keen on kids himself.

•he's smart. Very smart. But his weakest point is chemistry. He can pass a class sure, but not without a bit of a struggle. It's the periodic table man, he just can't remember it.

•strawberry shortcake is his favourite, but cheesecake with a chocolate biscuit base is a close second.

•if he hadn't become a detective, he's either gone into CPS to help abused kids, or tried his luck at music.

•we all know he picks cases that interest him, he's picky with his cases. But if the case is severe enough, he'll take it no matter what to get it solved and out of the way.

•we also know he's awful at sleeping, but he can sleep better when in the car for some reason. Something about driving around for long hours puts him to sleep. When he was little and tripping over his own feet he was so tired, Watari would drive around aimlessly with him in the back seat just so he'd get a little sleep.

•he failed his drivers test. Yet he can pilot a helicopter. How? Because he's L, that's how.

•still has a comfort toy. A reminder of the good parts of being a kid.

•he can actually draw pretty well. And sing too, he's just naturally gifted in the arts as well as his detective mind.

•crime shows are often boring to him as he can figure out the killer in a matter of minutes. But Midsummer Murders is in his good books for having him thinking for a good long while sometimes.

•he can finish crosswords in seconds.

•due to his pushed back and forgotten emotions, there'll be the rare occasion of a night where he'll just start to cry for no particular reason. But after he's let it engulf him for a while it feels a lot better.

•he'll live in jumpers with floppy sleeves and hoods when it's cold.

•prefers showers to baths when he's forced to take one. But if it's a bubble bath he'll give in. Something about the smell of the bubble mix is relaxing to him.

•he stresses over a lot. So the days where there's nothing to do, he'll savour the ability to just sit around doing nothing. Every second of free time is bliss. But go for too long and he'll get bored.

•gets bored pretty easily. After a few days of nothing he'll be itching to do something, anything.

•he can read really fast and gets through books super quick.

•because he speaks so many languages there's moments where he'll forget a word in a certain language and just replace it with another language.
-"Hey could you get those... Uh... Ichigo kēki?"
"Strawberry cakes?"
"Yes those"

•he'll do that when writing too. And his handwriting is atrocious so good luck making any sense of those multilingual scribbles.

•also will switch languages while thinking. One minute he's thinking to himself in English, then in French. But since English was his first language that's the one he uses the most.

•black tea with way too much sugar runs in his veins. As well as the most caffeinated coffee ever with way too much milk and sugar.

•he can't cook all that well, but he makes damn good crepes. And oddly he can make the perfect potato bake even though he rarely ever eats it.

•his hair is the type where you try to run a brush though it and it POOFS. So he never really brushes it. That and it grows really quick so he's just given up on trying to take care of it.
-additionally, if he were to take better care of it, it would naturally curl up at the ends a little.

•wants a cat, loves cats. Can't have one because of travelling for cases so often. But he still wants one. Either a black one or a tuxedo coat one. The kind that have little white paws and noses.

•Matt would always make frog jokes up to the point L now associates frogs with himself. Even though he find it annoying.
-*sees a frog in the garden*
"Me... wait- damnit Matt"

•still feels awkward when people bring up A and B. He still feels partly responsible for what happened to them.
-one time Light was joking about him knowing the whole alphabet. And when he said A and B, he physically tended up in a sheer guilt-awkwardness mix.

•he was a biittt of a late bloomer. He didn't really discover all that stuff until he was about 16. While it was kind of disgusting at first it was still oddly intriguing.

•clueless when it comes to talking to girls. They intimidate him. Like this human can endure pain all the damn time, and walks around like it's nothing. What else are they capable of?

•doesn't like to be bossed around. But some people are acceptable. Someone he trusts? yes please take over I have no idea what I'm doing... someone like Light? Bitch don't tell me what to do.

•he's 100% the kind of person that'd do something he was told not to do out of spite.

•when itcame to the Kira case. He was fueled by spite the whole case. Because fuck you Light.
