A/n: I re-write of an older one I still find funny.

Hc: it is unsafe for you or Misa to infiltrate a party as a mission. But it's a female invite only. L is the most feminine and best option so you force him to cross-dress.

"No"

"L you're the only hope!"

"I won't have creepy men hitting on me!"

"I can go, Misa can't go. They know who we are! No one else is petite enough to play a girl" you said.

The taskforce all looked at L, he knew he was the only option for this mission. While he never really cared that he did have a rather feminine build for a boy, he wanted to retain SOME masculinity. But it was clear that he was the only one available for this mission. Yotsuba was holding a 20s themed ball, to get the company a new spokesperson alongside Misa. So it was female invite only, males only allowed in as a plus one. He had no option. He had to be a girl.

"Please? For me?" You asked.

As much as he didn't want to, he'd rather be the one at the party than his girlfriend. If there's one thing L wounding stand for, it's boys getting too close to you.

"Fine... but if I hear a word about this in the future I'll fire all of you" He caved.

"Yes! Misa get some heels and makeup. I have the perfect outfit for him!"

Both you and Misa dragged him upstairs where you sat him in front of the mirror in Misas room. This was 20s themes, and luckily you had a movie star style night set. Consisting of silk pyjamas and a long sheer dressing gown with fur on the end that dragged behind you. There was no rules about what kind of outfit as long as it was from the 20s.

"Ok, first things first is to make you look more feminine" Misa said, grabbing a bottle of fountain.

"What's that?" L asked.

"Foundation. It gets rid of blemishes and makes an even surface for makeup"

"I never said I'd wear makeup"

"You have to" you added.

L sighed, knowing he wouldn't win against you two. Helping Misa with the makeup, you decided to go with a subtle look. Only light eyeshadow and highlighter. But some powerful winged eyeliner and long lashes.

"Wait, that's that?" L asked, noticing the small glue bottle in your hands.

"Eyelash glue" you asked.

"Eyelash glue?"

"For falsies"

He gave you both a confused look.

"Have... you never herd of false lashes?" Misa asked.

"No?"

"Watch this-"

Misa reached up to her eyes and grabbed her falsies, L watching on terror as she pulled them off like it was nothing.

"Wha- why would you-"

You and Misa giggled at his confusion. Boys, so clueless.

"They make your eyelashes look longer. Mascara isn't enough sometimes" you explained, picking out some to glue to him.

Makeup quickly down, you left Misa to sort out a wig while you got the clothes ready. You knew he's complain but you grabbed a bunch of socks too, for obvious reasons. Returning to the bathroom, you saw Misa fixing up the long wavy black wig, it really changed the way L looked. Even with just the wig and makeup he already looked like a girl.

"Ooo, L long hair suits you" you said.

"I want to die..." he complained.

"Oh don't be so dramatic, now hurry up and get undressed we don't have much time left"

Saltily complying, he pulled his shirt off and you swooped in, trying to wrap a bra around him.

"Woah- I'm not-" he tried to say.

"L you're a girl now. Girls have boobs"

"No"

Both you and Misa gave him a glare, and he caved again. Clipping it on and stuffing the socks into it to crate the illusion of some c cup tits. L looked ready to melt into the floor with embarrassment but there wasn't much he could do at this point. Next you slipped on the pyjamas, a black silk knee length night gown.

"For an alias... let's go with lily. And you can be a movie star from England, here to expand her career. If they ask to see your work tell them they haven't been released in Japan yet as they're being subtitled"  you suggested.

"It'll work, do I really have to wear heels though?" L replied.

"Yes" you and Misa replied in unison.

Heels on, makeup done, wig neat, fake boobs covered, clothes ready and bugged, you slipped the dressing gown onto his shoulders, neatening it out and finally finishing the transformation from L to Lily. You both took a step back and admired your work.

"Woah, he'd make a good drag queen" Misa laughed.

"We did good" you replied.

L sighed and stood up, looking in the mirror at his new self. Part of him was impressed at your skills of completely erasing the fact he was a man, but the rest of him was super uncomfortable with the clothes and makeup. He sighed, already over this.

"Let's just get this over with" he said.

"Oh! One last thing!" You dashed off for a moment and returned with two items.

You lifted the nightgown a little and strapped a garter to his thigh, sticking a pocket knife into it.

"Just in case, now let's go"

The taskforce waited in the monitor room. Light and Matsuda ready to go with all the gear, Watari ready to drive them.

"Ladies and gentlemen! L is no more. Welcome English movie star Lily to the taskforce!" Misa joked.

The taskforce turned to the staircase were you pushed L into the room. The massive dressing gown dragging behind him as he gracefully, but very gloomily, walked down the stairs.

"Don't even-" L said.

"Woah..." Matsuda replied.

"What happened to your testosterone?" Light laughed.

"Shut up. Let's get this over with"

Giggling, the two grabbed the gear and headed for the door. Watari was impressed with your skill, but did find his foster sons situation pretty amusing.

"Well, I have always wanted a daughter" he joked.

"Please don't start" L snapped back.

Stifling your laughter you followed them out the car. The whole ride it was silent, everyone trying not to laugh at L's situation. And when you got there you parked behind the building instead of in front to stay hidden. Light and Matsuda rushes off to their hiding spots.

"Everyone can hear me?" You spoke into the bugs.

"Loud and clear" Matsuda replied.

"We're good on my end" Light jumped in.

"Alright, I'm sending her in"

You turned to L and made a few final touches. You pulled on his shoulders to make him stand up straight.

"Posture. Shoulders back, tummy in, head up. You're a strong independent woman. Now get in while you can" you said.

"I hate this..." L sighed, making his way to the entrance.

You rushed to your hiding spot, Watari staying in the car ready for a quick get away, still very amused by this. This would definitely come up at on L's wedding day.

You climbed the ladder up the back and got onto the roof, watching through the glass dome top at the dance floor. Everyone wore either negligee, flapper, or movie star type apparel. There were food tables off to the side and they were playing swing music. People chatted and danced on the floor, all of the members of yotsuba scattered and greeting guests.

"I'm in, can you see me" you head L say into the bugs.

You looked around and spotted him near the winding stair case.

"Yeah I got you" Matsuda said.

"By the stairs? Yeah that's you" Light jumped in.

"I got visual, we're trying to figure out who's really Kira. So snoop around. Talk to the members, when you get the chance, sneak into the conference room to look for any weapons or communication to Kira"

"The guys back at taskforce have visuals of that room and will be able to see you, I've got connection to the Cheif and if they see something in there it'll come from me" Matsuda added.

Before you could add anything else you saw one of the members walk over to L and tap his shoulder. He tensed up and mentally prepared himself.

"Hello Miss, welcome to the gathering, it's a pleasure to have you here. My name is Namikawa, one of the main members of this organisation, may I ask your name?" He said.

"Girl voice Lily" you whispered into the bugs.

"I-I'm Lily, I'm from England and looking to expand my work worldwide. Thank you for having me" L replied, pitching his voice up as much as he could.

You could hear the others giggling on the other and of the bugs. You almost let one out yourself but had to stay serious.

"England huh? How long have you been in Japan?" Namikawa asked.

"About 6 months now, it's been amazing so far" L replied.

"Have you enjoyed work over here? Or is it better in England?"

"I do miss home, but it is lots of fun over here"

"Come, I'll introduce you to the team"

He started to lead L over to the rest of the group.

"This is good, ask questions" you said.

"Got it" L whispered back.

He was lead to the group and one by one introduced to the members. Immediately he was bombarded with questions upon finding out 'she' was from England.

"England? Interesting. Are you getting much news of Kira over there?" Higuchi asked.

This peaked everyone's interest.

"Where isn't Kira known. He's all over the news" L replied.

"Do you support him, Lily?"

You could hear the cringe in L's voice when he relied, having too play along and pretend he did.

"Yes, he's doing the world a big favour"

"Lily, I just compliment your outfit, you didn't go halfway with dressing to the theme" another member jumped in.

You mentally have yourself a pat on the back at your handiwork. You were the one who dressed him after all.

"Thank you, I do like theme balls so I wouldn't have gone half way" L replied.

"Can I offer you some wine?"

L froze for a moment. He couldn't let them get him drunk, who knows what could happen if they did.

"N-no thank you" he replied.

"Why not? I can assure you we don't have any of the cheap crap. Only the best"

L was at a loss for an excuse, he was put on the spot rather unexpectedly.

"Because..."

Suddenly it struck you and you spoke into the bugs.

"You're pregnant"

"I'm pregnant" L said.

Hearing Light and Matsuda lose it over the made his blood boil, he'd chew them out when this mission was over.

"Really? You barely show" Higuchi said.

"I'm only a few weeks, but I don't want to risk anything" L replied.

"Fair enough, it's safer"

He let out a small sigh of relief, that bullet was dodged. You watched as he upheld the act flawlessly, and was getting good information off them too. It went on for a little longer until Light spoke up.

"There's no one near the conference room, now is the time" he said.

L managed to excuse himself from the chat, blaming it on a bathroom break. Letting him go, he wove through the crowd and up to the stair case, doing a double take. Grabbing a cookie off the platter as he passed the food tables he quickly dashed up the spiralling stairs. It looked like a scene from a movie from your view with the way his gown dragged behind him.

You lost sight of him, as he entered the next room. Now leaving it to Matsuda and the guys back at taskforce to observe.

He entered the room, looking around for any kind of evidence, going through drawers and looking under stacks of work. The he hit the jackpot. A list of future Kira victims.

"Guys, there's a list of people they plan to kill off" he explained.

"Take it, stuff it down your bra" you said.

He did just that and continued to look.

"I can't really see anything else, there's nothing else suspicious here. And I can't see any bugs that aren't ours. So I don't know how they're in contact with Kira, it must be one of them-"

"L, HIGUCHI IS MAKING HIS WAY UP, HIDE!" Matsuda exclaimed.

L frantically looked around and decided it was better to make a break for it. Surprisingly he could actually be pretty quick in the heels and he dashed out the back door, down the hall and around the corner. Higuchi wasn't far behind, a door heads opening and footsteps getting closer.

"You've gotta get out of there, we've got what we need" you said.

L began to slowly and quietly head for the balcony, he could climb out that way. With Higuchis footsteps getting closer he kept a hand on the pocket knife in his garter. Just as he was about to sneak out, a voice was head from behind him.

"I knew I couldn't trust you"

He froze, turned to see Higuchi behind him. There was no use playing dumb, he knew that 'Lily' was an agent.

"Ok, you got me... what are you going to do about it?" L said, hand still gripping to the knife.

You instructed the others to get to the car so a clean getaway could be made and you watched from above the balcony.

"Just what do you think you're getting at young lady? What are you trying to achieve? Stealing from us perhaps?" Higuchi said, taking a few steps closer.

"The only thing I'm stealing is the information you told me by ear" L replied.

"What's down your dress then?"

"Socks. Do you really think these are real?"

L was backing onto the balcony as Higuchi continued to walk toward him.

"Not much of a lady are you?" Higuchi said, referring to the un-lady like mannerisms.

"Oh you don't have any idea..." L replied, knowing full well he wasn't a girl, and somehow Higuchi still hadn't caught on.

He was backed against the railing, you could see him being cornered by Higuchi as he got closer and closer.

"You wouldn't put your hands on a lady would you?" L said.

"Who do you work for lily?" Higuchi scowled.

"Myself"

"Bull, who's you're boss. Is it L?"

"Myself"

L smirked, finding it amusing he was telling the truth and Higuchi wasn't buying it. You suddenly had an idea, rushing back down the ladder and around the underneath the balcony, which wasn't too high up, you spoke into the bug again.

"I'm right underneath you, jump" you ordered.

It was risky but L knew it was the only chance of escaping this with the evidence. Or at all for that matter. He put one foot up onto the railing, ready to drop.

"Tell me you snake, I can end your career in seconds" Higuchi snarled.

"I don't think you can ruin an untouchable career, now if you don't mind I'll be leaving"

"How? you're cornered"

"My girlfriends going to catch me"

"Girlfriend? You aren't into men?" Higuchi replied confused.

"No, because as you can see-"

L put his other foot onto the railing and snatched his wig off, dropping the girl voice.

"-I am one"

He dropped off the railing and you managed to catch him, the both of you landing on the floor with a thud.

"Thanks, let's go" L said.

Higuchi looked over the railing in rage as you both scrambled to your feet and made a run for it.

"GET BACK HERE YOU IMPOSTER!"

You both laughed at the comments and skidded to a halt at the car, frantically climbing in and zooming off.

"That was the most theatrical exit I've ever seen" you laughed.

L pulled the papers from his dress and tossed it into the pile of equipment.

"I wanted to see the look on his face when he realised I was a boy"

"It was priceless"

After a quick ride back to taskforce and L practically drowning in the shower to get all the makeup off, it was finally all over for the night and he could put the whole thing behind him. Flopping onto the bed face first and sighing as he tried to push it out of his head.

"I feel so tainted... is it always like that when creepy men get to close?" He asked.

"Unfortunately yes" you replied, rubbing his back reassuringly.

"I don't know how you girls do it... but I'm glad it was me down there and not you... I wouldn't have wanted any creeps near you"

You flipped down next to him and wrapped an arm around him.

"Well you never have do for it again, it's all over" You said.

"Although I will admit..."

You turned to face him with an intrigued look.

"That dressing gown made me look great"
