Mind's Garden
So many battles in this life you’ve fought,
With wins and losses, ahead you thought.
Your worst enemies, still Doubt and Fear,
All broken pieces of you are healing here.
With heavy heart going through the gate
No landscape in sight, all ruins lie in wait.
An empty garden where once full bloom,
Now cold and darkness, a greeting tomb.
Broken wilted flowers scattered on beds,
Some stepped on, others damaged at ends,
Fading remnants of the dreams and hope,
Oppressed and tired, at the end of the rope.
Inside cracked dome shadows creeping,
More cold and gloom iced teeth sinking.
When all try to bury and push you aside,
Stop running into the dark alone to hide.
Fragile roots even though covered in dirt,
The vow together for no one will get hurt.
Shimmering rays of light flows through,
Arms wrapped around warmth fills you.
Faint pulse felt where the beacon stands,
Holding the spirit now within safe hands.
There someone is going to hug you tight,
Heal the broken pieces together in light.
Not letting our dreams to fall or crumble,
Or wait on others help when we stumble.
It's our garden to plant and bring harvest,
Our soul to decorate and work the hardest.
Gather up strength and start today new,
Believe in tomorrow and more so in you.
For even in adversity must always thrive,
You're beautiful the rarest, much so alive.
Your mind is a garden needing daily care,
Right seeds plant positive thoughts there
Cast out the negatives, all are just bad seeds,
Grow flowers in your garden, wipe out weeds.
