Princess charming
Eliza sat on the throne, a large yawn planted across her face. Many suitors came and many suitors went but each one was as egotistic and self absorbed as the last. This ball her father threw for her was to supposed to find her the perfect prince charming yet boys didn't take her fancy; she was more into girls. Besides, she wasn't in the mood to dance and would much rather sneak away. So that's what she decided to do.
When the ball was in full swing, the princess secretly snuck away, mask held to her face so no one could see who she was. When she was certain she was alone, she let out a small sigh and removed her deep red glittery mask, staring down at it resting in her lap. She glanced up and smiled softly as the moon lit the up the picturesque garden beneath her, the fresh evening breeze gently flying through her hair. The roses below were a beautiful deep red, their sweet scent filling up her nostrils. If only she had someone to share this with.
"Princess" A voice behind her called and she jumped, quickly putting her mask back on as she swivelled around. She sighed as she saw what she assumed was another prince, his dark costume perfectly complemented with a deep purple cape and complementing her own deep purple ballgown. His mask was dark red, matching hers, and his pure white hair was tied neatly into a ponytail. She shook any thoughts of admiration for this mystery figure and shook her head.
"May I help you?" She asked in her usual sarcasm laced tone. "Are you by any chance another arrogant prince hoping to sweep me off my feet?"
The mysterious figure shook their head as they slowly removed their mask to reveal a beautiful princess. She gracefully let out her hair as it fell to her shoulder as she let out a small smile, her skin smooth and fair. Eliza almost did a double take, her eyes widening in both shock and admiration.
"Holy heck you're hot" She blurted out before realising what she had said and covering her mouth in embarassment. The princess giggled as she gracefully bowed.
"The name's Kyra m'lady. Sorry if I misled you princess but I wasn't sure if you were into princesses"
"Are you kidding? They are so much better than princes" She grinned as she too slowly removed her mask and Kyra gently giggled.
"Well in that case, may I have this dance princess Eliza" She held out her hand and with a wide smile on her face, Eliza gladly took it.
"Yes you may" She smiled as Kyra led her inside and the two happily danced the whole night away.
