It's close to eight when I get home. I'm exhausted and I just want to go to bed. My feet hurt and my brain is refusing to function. I slip off my heels, lean against the door and slide down to floor. A low sigh escapes as my eyes close and suddenly I'm tackled from my right by the twins and Carter.

"God Da-!" I growl and open one eye to look at the three smiling faces.

"Big sister!!!" "Are you ready to play!!!" They shout in excitement as Carter helps me to my feet.

"Uh sure guys. What are we playing?" The twins look at each other before giving me a cheeky smile and run off to the livingroom. They quickly come back and hold up a large pink board covered in sweets.

"CANDY LAND!!!!" They shout and shove the game into my hands. A small smile graces my lips as I look down at the cavity creating game. I turn towards the archway that leads to the family room and walk to it, stopping right below it.

"Well what are you guys waiting for? If you have any hope of beating me you better get in here!" I look over my shoulder at them and do my best evil laugh. "And the looser will help the kitchen staff with the dishes for he rest of the week."

The three of them dart past me giggling to themselves as they sit around the coffee table and watch as Nina and Alfred carry in our snacks. I however can't keep my eyes off the Large cup of coffee that Sammie is carrying to me. ONLY to have her walk past me and drink it herself. 

'SHE IS DRINKING MY COFFEE!!! PREPARE TO BE DESTROYED IN THE LAND OF CANDY YOU SOUL STEALING, COFFEE DRINKING DEMON!!!!'  I glare as she sits down next to Emma. She meets my gaze and smirks at me. 'Challenge accepted monster.'

Katie soon joins us with some green juice cleanser and kale chips...? I honestly have no idea what health kick she's on now. But hey if she thinks this is going to work then so be it. I don't want to open that can of worms. Not now not ever. I really do not have time for that hippy organic whole wheat germ stuff. If she thinks it's gonna make her healthier and what not then by all means do it. Makes no sense but eh, not my department to pass judgement on what works and what doesn't. I'll leave that for the professionals to handle. However, she better not leave a mess behind this time. Those things are a pain to get out of the carpet.

"I CALL THE RED PIECE!!!"
"I CALL THE YELLOW!!!!"

"Okay. The twins are the youngest so they go first. Then Carter, Katie, Coffee Thief, and myself."

"Coffee theif..?" Sammie mumbles to herself as she picks up the blue piece.

Katie snaches up the green and Carter the purple... and we are out of pieces. Without a second thought I pull a quarter out of my pocket and place it on the board.

"Okay you two. Rock, paper, scissors. " I look at the twins and the smile mischievously at me. 'What are they planning?'

Sudden they run out of the room and come back with two shoe boxes. I raise my eyebrow in question but don't say anything to them. I'm a bit curious where this is gonna go.

"ROCK!"
"PAPER!"
"SCISSORS!"
"SHOOT!"

They open up the shoes boxes in a flash and two heavy thuds could be heard as both of them dropped  two large rocks on the table.

"Awww. You grabbed the same thing." They whined together and crossed their arms to pout.

"Okay,  let's try that again." I sigh and set the rocks back in the shoe boxes.  "And this time don't drop them kn the table."

"Okay!"

"ROCK!"
"PAPER!"
"SCISSORS!"
"SHOOT!"

This time Emma pulls out paper while Shane snatched a pair of scissors. Emma glares at her twin and doesn't say anything as she puts her paper back. Shane, being the little shit that he is, is doing a sory if victory dance and singing that he gets to go first.

"Alright, that's enough. Shane, draw a card and let's get this party started."  I laugh and poke his forhead.
He gives me a cheeky smile and draws a card. He let's out an evil giggle and places his yellow piece on the the square for Grandma Nutt.

"You little-!" I gasped and we all look at the board in disbelief. "I'm shuffling the cards again."

And that is how our night of joy and tears begain.
