Imagine being close friends with Kylo and you end up falling in love with him.

Kylo Ren.
Commander of the first order.
Master of the knights of Ren.
Also my best friend or at least I consider him to be that.

I've known Kylo for a long time, even before he called himself Kylo Ren.

I've always known him as Ben solo.

A boy who just wanted to be like his father Han Solo.

Ben looked up to his father so much that he vowed that one day he would be a pilot just like him.

That was until he was sent away for training with Luke Skywalker.

Ben looked up to Luke as well, but it never matched how he felt about his father. He wanted nothing more than to be like him. Eventually he felt that he was under so much pressure trying to live up to this legacy of the skywalker family and the stories that had been told for years.

Ben was under the pressure of it all and overwhelmed.

I was there when he destroyed the temple.

He wanted me to come with him and I didn't hesitate.

I made a vow to him that day that I would stick by his side, no matter what he did.

He needed someone to be there for him and that's exactly what I've done, even years later.

I was also in love with him, but I never told him. We were young and I thought it was just a crush and that it would pass.

That didn't happen.

Now
"Leona, we've been given the coordinates to where the map to Skywalker is. We set off for Jakku tomorrow night" Ben speaks lowly to me.

Ben never wanted me to call him Kylo Ren, he said that Kylo Ren was the name that put fear in the people who heard it. He never wanted me to fear him. I only called him Kylo Ren when it came to working on the base and being in meetings with him.

"That sounds like a plan Ben, does Hux know about this?" I whisper back to him.

Ben had came to my quarters unexpectedly to tell me the plan.
I was surprised when I had opened the door to find him there as I was ready for bed, wearing a silk black nightgown. I was also in shock that he wasn't wearing his mask either.

He never wore it when he was with me but he always had it on while walking around the base.

"Hux knows of this plan, I wanted you to know as well"  Ben replies.

"Thank you, Ben. Is there anything else that you need?. I was about to head in for the night" I mumble under my breath.

Ben's gaze meets mine and I smile slightly at him and he does the same.

"I wanted to ask you if you wanted to join me for training, so we can be prepared before we set off for Jakku tomorrow" Ben replies.

"That would be great, what time?"

"I'll meet you in the training hall at noon"

"I'll see you in the training hall at noon then"

At this moment I had realized how nervous Ben was making me feel.

He had mentioned going to train with him and I was getting excited about it.

Of course I enjoyed training with him, we both pushed each other to do better.

But this felt different, I'm starting to have those feelings for Ben and it was more than just being friends with him.

I have known Ben for a long time, I did like him as more than a friend. But that would also mean that I didn't know how Ben felt about me.
We've been together for so long that it could go either way, he could either like me back or just think of me as his friend and only a friend.

I pushed those thoughts out of my mind as Ben was still standing in the doorway of my quarters.

"Have a good night Ben" I blurt out nervously, I can feel my face turning red immediately after.

Ben smiles down at me and I almost feel like I was stuck in a trance, looking into his deep brown eyes.

I froze in place when Ben reaches his hand up to my face, his fingers gently pressing against my temple and pushing some stray hairs out of my face.

My jet black hair hung loosely at my shoulders. I just had it down and it was still a bit of a mess from training earlier in the day.

I can still feel my face turning red in this moment and I tried to ignore it.

Ben pulled his hand away before he spoke.

"Goodnight Leona" he whispered sweetly to me.

With that Ben left and I closed my door behind him.

My mind was spinning as I thought over what had just happened.

Ben didn't show much affection towards me.

When he did it was usually when I would calm him down after a break down or when he needed someone to talk to.

For him to show more than that towards me, had confused me but also made me feel happy that there was the possibility of Ben feeling the same way that I felt about him.

I try to ease my mind as I lay down on my bed, burying myself into the pillows and large comforter.

I lay there for a moment thinking about tomorrow's events.

Train with Ben, go to Jakku with Ben.

I couldn't get him off my mind as I drifted off into a deep sleep.

The next morning

I woke up to the sound of my alarm blaring through the room which completely startled me and I jumped out of bed.

"I'm up, I'm up" I mumble under my breath as I shift off of the bed and turn off the alarm.

It was early in the morning and I wanted to get an earlier start to the day before I would go to train with Ben and leave for Jakku.

I knew that it would be a busy day so I wanted to take time for myself.

Just like I would every couple of days or so, I would get up early, take a shower and then I would practice some tricks with my lightsabers and also meditate.

Today I decided to skip to meditating to try and clear my mind.

Ben was still the main thing on it aside from thinking about training which also included him.

After I change into my clothing for training , I sit cross legged in the center of my quarters.

The feeling of the cool floor making me feel calm.

I had my hands resting on my knees as I slowed my breathing and tried to stay focused.

I was strong with the force and used that to try and focus my energy on that.

I felt my body slightly lift off of the floor, I smiled slightly.

I kept my eyes closed as I took slow breathes. I still couldn't focus. Ben was still on my mind and it wasn't going away.

Starting to get frustrated, I got myself back onto the floor and decided that I would try and use my lightsabers.

Practice some tricks before training.

I had two sabers, one purple and the other red.

One of them was scavenged from Coruscant.
The other from Mustafar.

The purple one, once belonged to Mace Windu, part of the Jedi Council, the red belonging to Chancellor Palpatine at the time.

I held both sabers in my hands. Twisting them around, testing the weight of them.

I held them at my sides before igniting them.

Once I pushed up the switch on both of them, they both buzzed to life. The bright light of red and purple radiating from both of them.

I was still amazed by it every time, a saber being my favorite weapon over a blaster any day.

I was caught off guard by a slight knock at my door and I immediately shut off my sabers and attached them to the belt on my waist.

I slowly opened the door to reveal a trooper.

"Sorry to disturb you, I was sent by commander Ren. It's time for your training session" the trooper answers nervously.

I didn't realize how much time I had spent in my room that I didn't pay attention to the time and it was now time for my training.

"Thank you, FN-2187. I'll be heading over there now. No need to be nervous"
I reply and he steps aside as I leave my quarters.

He follows slowly behind me and I decided to talk to him a bit more to help with the walk to the training hall.

Thought it would distract me from being nervous myself to see Ben again.

"So, FN-2187. Will you be joining us later on today on Jakku?" I asked, I looked over at him, he stared straight ahead. Avoiding my gaze.

"I will, got taken out of my position in sanitation for this mission. I've never been in battle before" he mumbles.

"You'll do great, don't be nervous. Follow orders and there's nothing to worry about" at this point we were about to be in front of the training hall and my heart sank.

"I'll see you later, FN-2187" I muttered under my breath as he continued walking down a different hallway.

I headed inside the training hall.

Ben was there.

He wore a black tank shirt with black pants. It was obvious how muscular he was but I took a bit to much time to admire that and I realized that he was looking at me and I immediately looked away.

"I apologize Ben, I lost track of time" the nervousness was heard clearly in my voice.

"It's not a problem Leona" he  reassures me.

I make my way over to him as he was standing by the table with all the training equipment on it.

"What's on the schedule for today's training session?" I ask as Ben faces me now.

"We can practice more with our sabers, that seems to be the most effective in our training sessions" he replies and I smile slightly at him.

"Sounds good to me, we should get started on that" I answer back.

I head to the center of the room and Ben meets me halfway.

He takes his saber from his belt and I do the same with mine.

Once he does his, he twists the hilt in his hand, swirling it around causing the red blade to become a blur as it turned.

I ignited mine once Ben was in a stance with his saber.

He held it up in front of his chest, ready to start.

The flash of red and purple whirling around as I twisted the hilts in my hands, the same as Ben did.

I held my sabers out in front of me, crossed in the form of an x.

Ben was the first one to make a move, he lunged towards me with his saber and I blocked his with both of mine.

Mine where crossed over my head as his came down onto mine, his tall frame towering over me.

I pushed him away by taking my red saber in my left hand and swinging at him and he backed away, missing the blade by a few inches.

"That was a nice move" he said catching his breath.

"Thank you" I replied as I pull my sabers towards me and I twist my body around and take another swing at him again.

He blocks it, I can see a slight smile form on his face.

Ben didn't smile often, so when he did it made my heart melt, it was one of those things that it was one sight to see.

"What are you smiling at?" I ask playfully.

Ben pulls his saber away from mine and retracts the blade from his saber and attaches it to his belt, I do the same with mine.

"You" he answered and I looked up at him confused.

"Smiling at me?" I question.

Ben walks up to me and he looks down at me.

"Yes, you. Leona. You're amazing. You've been by my side through everything" I could hear him starting to get nervous as his voice was shaky.

Here we were, probably one of the most intimidating person in the galaxy. Was nervous talking to me.

It was quite adorable to see him actually showing his true feelings which I didn't see often either.

"Ben, can I tell you something?" I blurted out unexpectedly.

My mind was racing over what he was saying to me and the question just came out. I had to tell him how I felt. I didn't want to hide it anymore.

"What is it?" He asked as he moved in a bit closer to me.

I felt my face immediately turn red and I looked down, avoiding his gaze.

"Leona, you can tell me anything. You know that" he answers as he tilts my chin up to look at him, his brown eyes staring back into mine.

"Ben....I...I love you" I reply. I felt so nervous in this moment of what he would say that I pulled away from him as my eyes stared to water. I was scared that he wouldn't feel the same way.

I felt Ben's hand on my shoulder and I slowly looked back up at him.

He reached up to wipe the tears from my face.

"You love me?" He asked and I nod slowly.

"I do" I whisper under my breath.

"I love you too, Leona" his words throw me off for a second as I realize that he said that he loved me.

Ben Solo loves me.

"I've been wanting to tell you for a while now" I say and he chuckles a bit.

"I have too, I didn't know how to tell you or if you felt the same way" he says and being my hand up to gently caress his cheek.

"We've been together for so long that I wouldn't want to be with anyone else, I love you Ben Solo" I whisper to him.

He smiles at me as he presses his forehead against mine.

"As I love you Leona" he replies.

I reach up, my hand in his hair as he leans down and presses his lips against mine.

His arms wrap around my waist, pulling me against his chest.

My heart was beating fast and I could feel his, beating fast in his chest as my other hand rested above it.

His lips moved gently against mine as I pulled him closer to me.

I pulled away from him blushing, catching my breath I moved some stray hairs out of his face as he smiled lovingly at me.

"We should get going, we have to leave for Jakku soon" he spoke.

"You're right, we should" I reply

Ben keeps my hand in his as we walk towards the door of the training hall, ready to leave.

"You'll be there with me, right?" He questions.

"I'll be right by your side" I answer.

"Will you meet with me after this is done?" Ben asks and I tighten my grip on his hand a bit.

"Ben, I'll be there. I promise" I reply and he smiles.

"I'll always be with you".

That is the end of this very long imagine, more like short story is what this turned into, thank you to Alm344  for requesting this. I hope like like it. Sorry that it took so long.
