Imagine #4

Imagine the First Order throwing a ball and you want to go with Kylo Ren.

The First Order made an announcement to every single worker and Stormtrooper, including you, that there's going to be a ball later in the evening. It was the first (and possibly the only) time the First Order had ever thrown a ball. It was a chance for everyone to finally do something besides work or fight with the Resistance.

Everyone was excited, even you were excited. But there was one problem. You couldn't decide who you wanted to go with to the ball since you didn't want to go by yourself.

But, then, you thought of the only person that you've been thinking about lately. Kylo Ren.

There was one time while you were working, you noticed that Kylo wasn't wearing his mask like he usually does. You stared at his facial features since no one doesn't know what he looked like under the mask. Since that day, you've developed feelings for him.

You thought about asking him to go to the ball with you. But you decided not to. You were too shy to ask.

Once your shift ended, you walked down the hallways to go to your quarters. As you were walking down the hallways, you noticed Kylo Ren, General Hux, and Captain Phasma talking to each other. Kylo wasn't wearing his mask this time.

As you walked by, you glanced at Kylo. 'Gosh, he's so handsome.' You thought to yourself. But, then, Kylo glanced at your direction. You, quickly, turned your head away and continued walking down the hallways, while blushing.

When you got to your quarters, you walked over to your bed and you collapsed on your back and you stared at the ceiling. After what happened earlier, you felt embarrassed and you felt like you ruined your opportunity to ask Kylo to the ball. You kept having thoughts whether you should go to the ball or not.

Minutes later, you heard the door slide open. You didn't look up because you knew it was your roommate, Captain Phasma. "Hey, Phasma." You said. "Hello, (y/n)." Phasma said. "You're off work a little early." You said, as you sat up and you noticed Phasma removing her Chrome Stormtrooper armor, leaving her with just a black long sleeve shirt and black pants. "Well, I have to get ready for the ball tonight." She said.

"Are you going to the ball?" Phasma asked, while she set her armor on a shelf. "I...I don't know. I don't think I'm gonna go to the ball." You answered, while looking down at the floor. "And why's that?" "Because...Because I'm a terrible dancer." You lied.

Then, Phasma sat next to you on your bed. "I can tell you're lying, (y/n). I know why you don't want to go. It's because of Kylo Ren, isn't it?" She asked. You didn't answer. Instead, you turned away while you blushed, deeply. "I knew it. I know that look. You like Kylo Ren. Really, really like him." Phasma exclaimed. You sighed and nodded.

"Why didn't you ask him to the ball?" Phasma asked. You looked up at her. "Because he probably doesn't like me, even after earlier when I stared at him. Plus, he's probably going with somebody else." You explained. "Oh, I don't think that's true, (y/n)." Phasma said. You were confused.

"After you left, while Hux was talking, I glanced at Kylo and he was blushing and he was trying not to smile in front of us. That man hardly ever smiles. But when I saw him, I could tell what he was thinking about." She explained.

Your eyes widened a bit as you were not expecting to hear that. "Do you think he likes me, Phasma?" You asked. "Absolutely. I think he does, (y/n)." She answered. You blushed even more.

"(y/n), you must go to the ball tonight. Kylo Ren and General Hux are starting the ball with the first dance. Armitage—I mean, Hux asked me to dance with him, but Kylo has no one to dance with." Phasma said. You smiled even more after she said that. You were glad to hear that Kylo wasn't going with anyone.

But, then, something came up. "Oh, no. Wait a second. I don't have anything to wear to the ball." You said, looking down at the floor, once again. "Not to worry, (y/n). I can help you with that. Don't look." Phasma said, as she stood up and walked over to her closet.

You waited for a few seconds until Phasma finally spoke. "Here." Then, you looked up towards her direction. You gasped in awe when you saw the maroon-colored ballgown.

"Oh, my goodness. It's so beautiful. But are you sure—" "I insist, (y/n). Plus, it doesn't fit me anyways, thanks to a malfunctioned wardrobe specialist droid, and I've already picked out what I'm wearing for the ball tonight." Phasma said, as she laid the ball gown on your bed.

"And if you want me to, I can curl your (h/l) hair and I can do your makeup as well." She added. You stood up and said, "I would like that a lot. Thank you so much, Phasma." Then, you hugged her. She returned the hug. "You're welcome, (y/n). Now let's get you ready for the ball." Phasma said.

***

Later that evening, in a large gray ballroom, everyone of the First Order were standing around, talking and socializing with others and drinking champagne. Women dressed in formal dresses while men were still in uniform. An orchestra was playing formal classical music at the same time. There were some Stormtroopers on patrol around the ballroom.

Kylo Ren, without his mask on, and General Hux, both wearing fancy uniforms, were standing on a platform, observing everyone with their hands behind their backs. "I must say, Ren, this ball is going quite well. So many people having a wonderful time. We'll have a wonderful time when we do the first dance on the floor soon. Yet, you don't have anyone to dance with." General Hux said, almost somewhat sarcastically. "I haven't found anyone to dance with, Hux." Kylo said. "There are a lot of women here, Ren. Is it that hard to choose one?" Kylo sighed in frustration. "I just haven't found the right one yet, Hux. Plus, Phasma isn't here to dance with you." He said. "She'll be here. I just don't understand why she's late." General Hux said. Kylo grinned at him.

A couple minutes later, Phasma showed up, wearing a snazzy, off-the-shoulder black mermaid dress and long black gloves. General Hux and Kylo stepped off the platform and they met up with Phasma in the center of the ballroom. "Hello, gentlemen." Phasma said. "Evening, Phasma. You look ravishing tonight." Kylo commented. "Thank you, Kylo Ren." "You look wonderful, Phasma. But what took you so long?" General Hux asked. "I had some stuff to do." Phasma explained. "And what would that be?" General Hux asked, once again, sounding a bit sarcastic. But Phasma didn't answer him. Instead, she smirked at him and looked at the entrance of the ballroom. General Hux and Kylo looked towards her direction.

You, gracefully, walked towards the entrance of the ballroom and you stopped in the middle of the entrance. You looked around the ballroom and admired the decoration around it. You, then, noticed everyone were staring at you, with surprised looks on their faces and they were silent. The orchestra even stopped playing.

It felt like a 'Cinderella' moment all around. You were nervous at first, but you kept a smile on your face. You even noticed Phasma, smirking, standing next to General Hux and Kylo Ren. General Hux was surprised. But with Kylo, he had an astonished look on his face, like he's seen someone beautiful for the first time in his life.

Seconds later, Kylo started walking towards you. Everyone was clearing a pathway for him to walk through. Your heart was beating fast as he was walking closer towards you. Kylo stopped at the bottom of the step and he slightly bowed his head at you and he held his gloved hand out towards you. Now you were even more nervous and shy. You hesitated at first, but, then, you took his hand and you walked down the step.

When you got to the bottom, you faced Kylo. His dark brown eyes were filled with tenderness and he smiled a little bit at you. "What is your name?" He asked you, softly. "(y/n)." You answered. "(y/n). I like it." Kylo whispered. You smiled and blushed.

Kylo, then, cleared his throat and he asked, "May I have this dance, (y/n)?" You smiled and you simply answered, "Yes." Then, Kylo held his arm out towards you and you wrapped your arm around his as he escorted you to the center of the ballroom.

"Well, Phasma, I must say, you did a wonderful job with the girl." General Hux commented, as he was staring at you and Kylo. "Thank you, Hux. Kylo seems pretty happy to see (y/n)." Phasma said. "He does. And please, call me 'Armitage', darling." General Hux said, while smirking. "Whatever you say, Armitage." Phasma said, smirking back.

There was a long pause for a few seconds until General Hux spoke. "Well, enough said. Let's start with the first dance." Then, he paired up with Phasma while Kylo paired up with you in the center of the empty circle with everyone crowding around.

"Kylo, everyone's staring at us." You whispered. "Strange. I've forgotten there was anyone else here." Kylo whispered, while smirking. You chuckled. You were nervous to dance since it was your first time dancing with someone. "Don't be nervous. Just relax and keep your eyes on me." Kylo said, softly, as he wrapped his arm around your waist and he held your hand with his other hand.

As soon as the orchestra began playing, the four of you began slow dancing around the circle. You had your eyes locked onto Kylo's. You felt relaxed the whole time.

"I noticed earlier you were staring at me." Kylo said. You felt embarrassed. "I apologize for doing that." You said. "No need to apologize." Kylo said. "Really?" He nodded. "When I saw you walking by, I found you really pretty and I've developed feelings for you and I wanted to ask you to the ball, but I was too shy to ask." Kylo said. You were surprised, but you smiled and blushed. "Same with me." You said. Kylo smiled at you. "Well, I'm glad that you came, (y/n)." He said and, then, he placed a soft kiss on your cheek. You sighed as you smiled and blushed even more.

After what seemed like hours of slow dancing, you and Kylo, along with General Hux and Phasma, just swayed. Kylo held you close to his body with the side of his face leaned against the side of your face. You had your eyes closed as you relaxed in Kylo's arms.

"(y/n)?" Kylo whispered in your ear. "Hmm?" You sighed. "Will...Will you be mine?" He asked you. Your heart skipped a beat, in a good way. You opened your eyes as you pulled away from Kylo and you stared into his eyes. You smiled and said, "Yes. I will be yours as long as you'll be mine." Kylo smiled at you as he caressed your cheek. "I will." He said, as he leaned down and pressed his lips against yours. You returned the kiss as you closed your eyes, forgetting about everyone else in the ballroom.
