On hardened skin

Echos throwing
Of waves crashing
At feet

Unmoved
Oh unmoved they've been
For ages

And years
Passing by
Unheard

By ears
Unseen by eyes
Unspoken

But spoken about
The two
Watching the tide

Out there
The edge of the cliffs
Lifeless guards

Till the sea
Roaring and gentle
Takes them again
