A/N: Heyy guys I'm going to tell a story roughly based off what happened to me. As you all know from my last author note, I got dumped... so here's just a little taste of what happened. This is going to be hella long so get ready. This is probably gonna be depressing so I'm gonna warn you now

It all started when you where a little girl. Yes, you where young but this is where it began. When your innocent heart turned cold and empty.

You where playing with some toys in your living room. Your mom was talking to your dad about something but you could tell it was an argument

"Why can't you just stay and be a dad to your kids?!" Yelled your mom "don't do it for me but for them!"

That was all you could hear but after a few minutes your dad walked up to you. Kneeled down to your level "hey I'm leaving. Bye princess~" he said then watched you cry and smirked

He got up and left. And that was the last thing your father said to you before he left.

You sighed and looked in the mirror "am I not good enough?" You said out loud as you listened to music it's been 13 years since your dad left without coming back and because of that, you have feared being too close to people, thinking they'll just leave you

the darkness in your heart began to grow as you got hurt again by your ex because you where never able to live up to his expectations, and you had trouble saying things like "I love you" or holding hands. until you fell in love with a sertian senpai and the walls you spent your whole life creating began to crack

You felt all warm and happy whenever you'd see Kagami. You didn't know this feeling because you'v never experienced this feeling before

You went through your shoujo manga collection and realized that this feeling was love

You frowned "how could this happen?" You thought to yourself with a sigh "if I fall in love I'll just get hurt"

As soon as you mumbled that you remembered what your friend had told you " there will be some people here to hurt you , some to make you laugh, cry, comfort you, bring you down, help you up, some will come some will go but you can't give up on everyone else because one person is to dumb to see the beautiful happy amazing you" your friend had said one day when you decided to open up about your distrust towards males

"Maybe I won't get hurt this time" you thought to your self as you closed your eyes and drifted off to sleep

***after school***

After school you went down to the gym to help Riko with basketball practice. You where her assistant and helped her with notes and different strategies (let's say Kagami is in his 2nd year and Riko and them are in their 3rd and your in your first)

You put on your fake happy cheerful mask and went to the gym. You opened the gym door and walked over to Riko

"Riko-senpai! Hiii~" you said cheerfully she smiled "ah (Y/N)-Chan hi" she replied

Kagami watched you talk with Riko from a distance but went back to practice when Riko blowed her whistle

***Le Time Skip***

After practice you packed your stuff and got ready to go home and watch Free! Iwatobi Swim Club

You hummed the theme song as you put your coat on when you felt a tap on your shoulder. You turned around to see Kagami

You blushed "Hi Kagami-Senpai!" You said cheerfully and he smiled "hey (Y/N)-chan. I was wondering, could you give me your number?" He said while scratching the back of his neck nervously

"Shoot, I'm getting too comfortable. But I can't just say no" you thought in your head and decided to just go with it "it's not like we are going on a date. It won't kill me to make guy friends" you said in your head

You nodded and smiled "sure" he took his phone out and gave it to you. You put in your number and gave him his phone back
Riko saw you give him your number and hugged you protectively "no! What are you doing to her Kagami! She's not like those other girls you play around with!" Yelled Riko

Kagami flicked her forehead "Baka! I'm not gonna do anything to her Riko-senpai" said Kagami

You giggled "don't worry Riko-senpai" you said with your fake smile and she sighed "okay but I'll kill him if he does something" she said

You giggled and started to walk home "bye guys" you said but Kagami grabbed your hand "wait. I'll walk you home" he said and you blushed "o-okay" you said as you pushed up your glasses

And with that, he began walking you home "I feel like a girl from a shoujo manga" you said in your head and immediately started to blush

You stopped when you relised that you where at your house "Senpai I live here. Bye" you said with your fake happy smile that you perfected over the years

He stopped walking and walked back over to you "oh well bye" he said and gave you a hug

You blushed "s-senpai" you mumbled but hugged him back. You let go after awhile but he held onto you "just wait for a second" he said and you nodded

"Your so cute" he said with a chuckle and you turned red and he let go of you "t-thanks" you mumbled and went to your house "bye senpai" you said again and went inside

"Bye" he said and began walking to his house
