Kagami was worried about you. Very worried. You weren't eating regularly, and when you did, you would immediately rush to the restroom. But when he tried to ask you about it, you brushed it off as nothing.
Kagami was worried.
"Senpai," Kagami addressed his upperclassmen. "I think there's something wrong with (Y/N)."
"What do you mean?" Kiyoshi was the first to speak up. He knew (Y/N) better than anyone, as he was (Y/N)'s childhood friend.
"She's not eating much anymore, and when she does, she always goes to the bathroom right after. I don't know what's wrong!" There was panic lacing his tone.
"Oh..." Kiyoshi's reply was quiet, like he knew what was wrong but didn't want to say.
Mitobe furrowed his eyebrows and exchanged a knowing glance with Riko, who shook her head.
"Perhaps she's on a diet...?" Riko suggested, unable to meet Kagami's eyes. She didn't want him to be exposed to something like that.
"Eating disorder," Kiyoshi announced with a small sigh. "She's got an eating disorder. When she goes to the bathroom it's to throw up what she ate."
"Does she not like my cooking?" Kagami asked with a confused look.
"Kagami-kun," Kuroko startled the larger male. "She's bulimic."
"Bul...imic...?" Kagami repeated slowly.
"It means she doesn't like to eat," Izuki explained, probably being the most serious he had ever been in a conversation that was prime ground for puns.
"Why would she dislike eating?!" Kagami somehow seemed offended. But this was Kagami, and food was a protected category in his life.
Kiyoshi shrugged, not sure of the answer, himself. Kagami felt the worry in him grow.
"I have to go," Kagami stated and rushed to the door, closing it behind him with a small, echoing slam. He ran faster than he had ever run before, nearly crashing right into you when he came to a stop.
"Taiga?" Your voice was soft as you nervously hugged your books to your chest, attracting unwanted attention from the other students that passed by you in the hallway.
You wee the most popular, beautiful, and kindest person in the whole school. Everyone loved you. But you didn't love yourself. You stopped loving yourself back in the fifth grade when that boy called you fat and ugly.
"You're perfect," Kagami told you, enveloping you in a tight embrace. You were shocked. "You're beautiful, and kind, and wonderful. You don't need to starve yourself or eat too much, or be the person everyone wants to be, because I love you, (Y/N), and I will never stop loving you."
You relaxed into his embrace and buried your face in his shirt. Your shoulders shook with each sob that racked your body as you promised him you'd start eating normally again.
That next week you were at school, you gained back a bit of the weight you lost, and stopped viewing yourself as overweight and imperfect.
Everything was perfect.
You were perfect.

LISTEN. IF YOU ARE BULIMIC, PLEASE STOP EATING AND THROWING UP. IT IS NOT HEALTHY. YOU ARE ALREADY PERFECT AS YOU ARE, AND I WORRY ABOUT YOU. I WANT YOU TO BE HEALTHY. SO PLEASE TAKE BETTER CARE OF YOURSELF.
Okay, so, please don't starve yourself or throw up what you eat. It's not good for you. YOU ARE PERFECT AS YOU ARE. Being "thin and popular" isn't worth it. Love yourself for who you are. What you see in the mirror isn't you. You're reflection doesn't decide who you are and what you do. Stick to the you who is in you.
LOVE YOURSELF.
I LOVE YOU. ❤️
