Ch 1~ My life. Pitiful and exciting. Still pitiful.

Kagami's POV:

"You are evil, do you know that?" I asked with a annoyed deapanned expression at my so called 'guardian angel.' I guess the rumours were false about angels being, well angels. More like a wolf hiding in a sheep's clothing if you asked me.

"Whaaaaat?~ Just because I put at least one or two Generation of Miracles in all your classes your now classifying me as evil?" My face lit up as if I realized something important. "Correction: I already knew you were evil from the moment I met you. Better?"

I turned around to ignore my Sara's whining. Already memorizing my classes I walked away from the board where students were crowded by.

Putting on a new song on my ipod I explored the school since homeroom would start in about 20 minutes. I made note of the spots that I wanted to come back or would probably come more often, like the rooftop (I was thinking of maybe asking the school if I could start a mini garden there) and a large solo tree that for some reason was separated  from the rest of the smaller trees.

"So, are you planning to join the basketball club?" Sara suddenly appeared as asked me while I was lying down on some branch of the lonesome tree. I was playing with a squirrel who happened to live on the lone tree, the squirrel kept trying to grab or lick my finger while I was gently dodging all his attempts. (A/N: In case you don't remember reader-san, Kagami now has a close connection with nature, somewhat supernatural I know.)

I took a moment before replying. "While I know my basketball skills are not normal-" "You're skills are on somewhat of a higher level then the other Miracles right now. You're really not considered normal you know." Sara interrupted and informed me.

I kind of figured that out when I was 8...

Flashback:

A basketball rolled and stopped near my feet. I picked it up and looked at a small group of high schoolers waving at me. "Oi! Sorry kid, that belongs to us! Can you pass it back please?" One of them yelled with a apologetic smile.

"New mission. Shoot the basketball into the hoop." Sara suddenly showed up and demanded. I gave her a small side glance filled with slight disbelief. "Hate to break it to you, but that hoop is like 58 feet away, that's like 11 feet behind the half line in an Olympic basketball gym."

Then Sara gave me that scary look no angel should have. "IF YOU DON'T DO IT I WILL HAUNT YOU FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE." I winced and felt scared while I was cursing these weak child hormones.

"Fine. But I warned you. Prepare to have the laugh or deadpan of your life." I went into a shooting form and aimed. Then I shot.

....

Making the ball not go into a high arc, instead zip through the air like Kuroko did a cyclone pass in the air. Then it stopped right over the hoop and fell in gently.

"..." The highschoolers were silent in shock while I immediately followed my instinct and ran. "Wasn't that awesome?! And that was your first try! You really are a genius!" Sara laughed while I ran, not knowing that the civilians I passed were wondering what the heck of a whirlwind just passed them.

"Even Midorima didn't shoot that far from behind half line until highschool! And I, a 8 year old child just did that?! Are you nuts? Just what kind of crazy basketball powers did you give me?" I yelled at her.

"Quite crazy ones..." Sara mumbled when I stopped before I fell of an edge of a cliff and into the ocean. I sighed as I regained my composure. I turned around and squinted my eyes.

It seems like I'm not even in Tokyo any more, must have run all the way to Kanagawa or something, strange since I remember I just started running about 20 minutes ago...

Keep my composure? Screw it.

"I DEMAND SOME KIND OF LIMIT. A REALLY STRONG LIMIT." I said 'calmly' Sara, totally not aware of the black aura that was seeping behind me.

End of Flashback:

"Yeah, I kind of noticed that I'm no where near normal and whose fault was that?" I asked with a 'pleasant' smile, again totally not aware of the black aura behind me.

Sara sweat dropped and mumbled something about deja vu as I jumped down from the tree and started walking to class.

"Hey, if you were thinking about that scene when you were 8, you have to admit, it was pretty funny and awesome at the same time. You sure are weird. I'm sure any other KnB fan would love to have these inhuman powers so they can show off to the GoM and shut Aomine up whenever he says 'The only one who can beat me is me' Even I hate that phrase."

"Well I guess that just means I'm not normal, and thank god for that." I said with a small sigh as I blew my bangs slightly to get it out of my face.

"Well at least you got your limits." Sara pointed out.

"Yeah, really annoying limits. I feel like I just walked into your trap."

Another Flashback scene:

"NO."

"Too bad, that's the only limits I'm offering!" Sara said with a huff.

"...You planned all this, didn't you?" I said with narrowed eyes.

"I don't know what you're talking about so stop accusing me of such un-true, yet true things! Now you either have these limits or no limits at all!"

".....................Fine."

"YAY!" Sara celebrated. A piece of paper suddenly appeared and as Sara handed me a pen.

"Your inhuman powers for basketball will be cut in half so you will only use half of your power. To keep this limit you must never cut your hair. You may cut a small piece occasionally to have small boosts to your power in case of emergency, but in the future when your hair will reach down to your thigh, you can't cut it to above your neck. If you do the contract will be broken and your original power will come at full blast. Deal?"

I took the pen and paused. "I'm really going to regret this.." I then signed my signature.

End of Flashback:

From that day on my hair grows at an inhuman speed in my opinion. And now it did reach my thigh.

I gave Sara a unimpressed look. "Couldn't you have come up with a better deal?"

Sara pouted. "What?~ I really like guys with long hair! They look so coooool~!" She said with stars in her eyes.

"Yeah, figured that out 15 minutes after I signed that death note contract..." I said with self-pity. Sara disappeared when I entered the hallway. I swung my school bag over my back as I stopped in front of my classroom's door and checked my watch. '5 minutes before class.' I thought.

I sighed as I slightly dreaded and loved the thought that I have at least one GoM in all of my classes except one which Sara kindly says that I can skip that class whenever I want since I took some kind of test which if I pass with 1000/1000 I can skip class and only come for test. Its kind of strange since I don't even remember taking that test, but I'm not complaining.

I learned pretty much all I needed to learn anyway. Being deaf and crippled in the hospital is so boring that it even drives you to study and read huge encyclopedias, documents, and secretly take online college courses.

I slid the door open and walked in a bored yet somehow elegant manner. Ignoring all the attention I was given since most of the students were already here.

Sitting down on the open desk in the front row which was the one next to the window (yes, its always next to the window...) I sighed as I put my school bag down and took out a notebook, pens, and a water bottle that had some lemon slices in it. While I was taking a sip, someone tapped me on the shoulder.

I turned around to see an awfully familiar red future captain of the Miragen smiling with a perfect smile.

I almost spit my drink out and lose my entire composure if it was not for my genius mind which was trained to keep calm at all time which, once again, I was thankful for.

Putting the water bottle down, I turned back to Akashi Seijuro and smiled slightly. "May I help you?" I asked. A good number of students behind the red-haired future captain jerked back in shock.

'What, did they think I was some kind of statue?' I thought with slight offence. I know I'm pretty but I'm not a statue. And I don't even want to be pretty to be honest.

Akashi was still smiling calmly while I caught a look of curiosity in his red eyes. "My name is Akashi Seijuro, I wanted to know if this seat was taken." I looked at the seat he was probably indicating. Which just happens to be right next to me.

"No, its not taken. Names Kagami Taiga. Yoroshiku." I greeted with a small smile before it disappeared.

"Well, its very nice to meet you Kagami." Akashi said with a smirk as he sat down next to me.

I just hummed as I turned my head to look outside and watched the lovely cherry blossoms float down gently. I heard the teacher give a roll call as I absently waved my hand up for a moment without looking.

"Alright then, my name is Mr. Kayama and I'll be your home room teacher. Please note that your seats will remain the same until next year."

During class I was completely aware of Akashi's burning red gaze at me while I didn't turn around for the entire time (mainly because that gaze was actually kind of scaring me) and only answering questions when the teacher got annoyed when I was not paying attention and then got totally owned because I was right and didn't even bother to look at the board.

It just so happens I answered a senior high school question which the teacher praised.

And it happened to result to Akashi staring at me harder.

'Please note that your seats will remain the same until next year.' Mr. Whats-his-name-again said.

Welcome to my new life.

If any of you were wondering why Akashi called Kagami 'Kagami' instead of 'Taiga', its because he still hasn't changed. If you don't know what I'm talking about, I recommend you read this fanfic after you watched all of Kuroko no Basket (yep, all three seasons)
