*flashback* Pairo and I were little and decided to take a walk. We talked about his condition and how it was slowing down the process of him going blind. This fact was revealed to me recently and gave me hope that he could get better... But hope never lasts long, this I know. During the walk I wasn't really paying attention to where I was walking at the time because I was too excited about the news. I looked around just realising where we were. Oh no, I thought, we were by the cliff we would get in alot of trouble if anyone knew we had gone past the 'safe area'. Kids aren't supposed to go by the cliff for chances of falling. So I nudged Pairo and told him we should turn around, he agreed and but when I went to turn around my pants caught on something causing me to fall backwards... I ended up falling off the cliff so apparently we were closer to the edge then I had thought. Pairo thought fast and grabbed my hand, pulling me back up. I came out okay, just a few scratches. But since that day Pairo's condition began eating his sight unusually fast. We never told any adults what happened so they were caught off guard when his conditioned worsened again. I guess I was too seeing as to how it just started to get better. Then I thought that maybe it was my fault when I fell I probrably scared him and he probrably strained himself holding my weight since he is a few years younger then me.

         After that day I decided I would work small jobs in town, so I could pay for Pairo's expensive medication. Since I aready passed that eye test thing that the elder makes anyone who wishes to go outside take it wouldn't be a problem. It took 3 years but I finally scrounged up enough money to pay for his medication. I happily bought it and started to head back home. I couldn't wait to surprise my childhood friend with this, so I hurried home. When I got there all I could see was my bretherans blood and corpses. My eyes instantly turned scarlet seeing this. I ran around frantically searching for Pairo hoping that he was alive. Or that this was all just a bad dream. But no it wasn't... Everyone was dead. I ended up finding Pairo outside his house, in the bushes. He was still alive but barely. Both his eyes were gone and he was wounded. "Pairo, i-i'm so so-sorry" I said holding him to my chest. He hugged me "it's okay, Kurapika it wasn't your fault." I was sobbing. "B-but your condition worsening was and I finally got your medicine. S-so you have to hold on." he shook his head, "Kurapika you know as well as I do that i'll pass on any time, I want you to know that the phantom troupe is responsible for the deaths. They stole everyones eyes Kurapika....why? Who would steal peoples eyes just for money?!? I don't understand"

I looked at him "P-paro if you can just hold on i'll get your eyes back then you can take the medicine and get better!!! It's not your time so p-please don't leave me all aone!!!" I knew it was pointless that there was nothing I could do to save him now. All I can do is comfort him until the end. "Kurapika, I wish I could see you one last time... But knowing that your here is good enough. I love you Kurapika you were aways my best friend. I'm sorry I won't be there to help you along your life's journey. But p-please d-d-on't waste your entire life dweling on the past. We'll live on inside you so don't worry." His breathes became shallow and I could tell he wasn't going to last much longer. "NO!!!! PAIRO YOU CAN'T LEAVE ME  CAN'T BE THE ONLY ONE. YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO GET BETTER AND BE HAPPY FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE!!!" His shirt now wasn't only soaked with his bood but my tears as well. "But I am happy, i'm happy that I could spend my short life with you....I-i'm so so h-hap-py. So happy....." He smiled but then his breathing then stopped and he went limp in my arms. The smile froze on his bloodied eyeless face. "Pairo I swear I will collect all the eyes of our clan, I will kill all the spiders that plague our earth. I'll do it so that you and everyone else can truly rest. I'm sorry I wasn't here to protect you but I will get my revenge...I promise your deaths will be avenged!"
