Adjusted from the show

The next day it rained and it rained for a week, and I had to look after Tenjin-yas business, I was worried for Aoi as no-one would want to go out there in this weather. I also couldn't go as her heart was not mine yet.
Because she had not earned anything since the Tengu visit, the accounting office summoned her and Ginji. Byakuya confronted them himself, and said to me that he told her to marry me immediately and that he went on a rant about Shiro causing me losses. He also told them to start producing results or moonflower would have to close.
One of our regulars, Hakkabou, wasn't eating our inn food, and he writes stories, which was troubling in that he couldn't. O-ryo came to me and suggested that Aoi makes up a Bento for him, so that at least he ate. Aoi was a bit more flexible in her cooking than our chef, so I agreed, as I thought that that might help her business. O-ryo left straight away to ask Aoi.
I decided to go for a walk up to the hotsprings in the rain, passing by Aoi's moonflower.
To my surprise she saw me, ran out in the rain without a umbrella, called for me to wait for her.
"Aoi. What's the matter? Why are you running in the rain without an umbrella?"
And covered her with mine.
"Thank you" Aoi said "I wondered where you were going, so I just chased after you. "
"Ch-Chased after me?" I was surprised at that.
"Yes" she answered. "Something wrong with that?"
"No. I'm headed up there."
"The mountain in the back...Come to think of it, I have never been there. Can I come along?"
I was doubley surprised and pleased at the same time. "Sure, come with me." We walk in silence for a bit. "It's over there." I say indicating the hotsprings around the house built for Souji.
"What...? Wow!" Aoi exclaimed. "I didn't realise that there were hot springs here. Did you come to soak in the hot springs, then?"
I chuckle at her presumption and offer "Shall we soak together?"
"Huh?"
I teach her about the hotsprings. "That one is 90 degrees Celsius. The one over there is over 100 degrees Celsius. This one is 60 degrees Celsius. "
"Hey, those are all way too hot for humans to soak in to begin with. Besides, they are really red for some reason."
"They're called the Vermilion Springs. It is not harmful at all. Rather, something good is soaking in there."a bell chimed to say the eggs were ready." Oh, speak of the devil..." and the eggs popped up.
"Whoa! Could they be hot-springs eggs?!" Aoi asked excitedly.
"What's with you all of a sudden?" I ask.

"It's hotspring eggs we're talking about! Hotspring eggs! On top of that, they're made in a real hotspring! Wow!"

Like it explained everything....
"Your reaction is interesting. " I say.
"What?" She questioned.
We walk to the house and enter. I open it up and light a candle.
"Aoi, come over here." And I dry her hair with a towel. "I'm sorry that I couldn't keep you dry."
"That's not really..." looking at me while I dried her "S-sit down, Master. Please sit here!" Pointing to the table with the candle.
"Okay" I agreed and sat down wondering what was going to happen now.
"Now, it's my turn to dry you."
My heart melted a little "You are a conscientious person. "
She blushed, looked away and started to dry my hair.
"Your horns are in the way. Can't you take them off?"
I laugh at her and say "Ogres are ogres because of their horns. What a scary thing you say..."
She realised that my kimono was really wet, as I had held the umbrella to keep her dry as much as possible. I look at her intently, watching her reactions. When she realised this, she said "What?"
"I was just thinking how I've never looked at you from this angle. "
"Huh?" She said blushing furiously, she stood up and turned away "I-I don't have the kind of face worth staring at, though."
"Thank you, Aoi."
"You're welcome."
I get up and get the eggs and ask her "Shall we eat them now?"
"Hmm?"
"They'll get cold."
She agreed, I wondered where the bottles of ramune were. I found them " Here it is " I say and close the cupboard.
"What is that?" Aoi asked.
"It's remune."
"So you have ramune in the hidden realm, too, huh?" She smiled.
"The natural carbonated water that springs out from this mountain is bottled, and it's been popular since the olden days. Now, let's see how they came out today." I break open an egg, Aoi sighs in pleasure.
"Sprinkle a little bit of salt over it."
"I never have had hot-spring eggs and ramune together. " Aoi said
"This combination is a summer treat in this area. It's a little too early to call it summer, though..."
Aoi ate it and made noises that she was enjoying it, then she said "They both taste good!"
"They do don't they?" I agreed.
"This combination is amazing!" Aoi said smiling.
"I am glad that you like it. If you need them at Moonflower, you can take the eggs and ramune as you please." Not really thinking of the cost, but rather the pleasure that it seems to give her.
"What? really? Thank you!"
I smiled at her obvious pleasure at the gift.
"Do you always come here and eat hot-spring eggs like this?" Aoe asked.
"Well... this place is like a retreat of mine. Sometimes, when I want to be alone, I come here and get lost in the clouds."
"I see... I am sorry for coming along with you." Aoi said thinking that she wasn't wanted.
"Don't be. I was surprised that you came along. "
"What?"
"Because you..." don't seem to want to be my precious bride but I know that she wouldn't want to hear that so I say instead "Never mind..." I laugh at my foolish thoughts "Being alone with you once in a while isn't bad at all. "
She blushed "I bet the security guard kamaitachi are watching from somewhere. I wouldn't really call it being alone."
"I guess that you're right....
Aoi. How is Moonflower doing?"
She froze and answered "Well... things are tough. But I haven't given up. I am sure there are more things that I can do."
"I see... But don't push yourself too hard. You haven't been sleeping much, have you?"
"What?" Aoi says surprised
"The lights are still on even after hours, and you get up early, too." Telling her what I have observed.
"How'd you know?"
I just smiled at her "Aoi. I think that location is your weapon. Once an opportunity arises, it'll become a kind of hidden gem. So, you don't have to rush. Your food is definitely good, so the key is keep at it little by little." Trying to ease the pressure off her a little.
"Master...Thank you. You really are a incredible ogre after all."
I couldn't help myself after that comment "Don't you want to marry a ogre like that?"
She crushed me straight away "Never mind, I take that back."
A week later, Hakkabou thanked me for the bentos Aoi had made and I said to him to go thank Aoi so he did. He came back so excited and hurried off to write.
Ginji came while he was gone to get permission for heavy cream to be added to the list of things that Moonflower needed, he told me that Aoi had been thinking of and was following my advice that I had given her up at the vermilion Springs. I was strangely pleased with that. Later that day he reported that Aoi may have been blessed by a zashiki-wasrashi, an unusual one too. It seemed she liked Aoi's food. I wondered if it was the one that had started me out.
Hakkabou wrote about Moonflower and Aoi in his work and suddenly she was super busy, for which I was glad. He had written "Dear beautiful ogre bride of Tenjin-ya, I'm sorry that I left abruptly the other day. I was able to finish my manuscript thanks to the bento you made. I'll stop by Moonflower again sometime soon. I look forward to eating delicious apparent realm food."
I look at her working with pleasure. My accountant is happy now too, thankfully, he was not happy that I wished to keep supporting her till she succeeded.
