Aoi found that the Umi-bouzu was lonely and like a child. She could not leave him alone. Chibi entertained him while Aoi cooked.

Umi-bouzu restored Aoi's taste buds.

Aoi got washed away by the Umi-bouzu wav,e and Ginji retrieved her.

I found the lighting god watching the proceedings. He said, "Oh... the Umi-bouzu is going home. The ceremony was a success after all, huh? How boring. I guess I'll go home."

He turned and saw me. Surprise showed on his face. I decide to speak with him about his attitude to Aoi.

He laughed nervously. "Why, if it isn't the ogre God. May I help you?" Pretending to be innocent.

"I came to settle matters with you," I say.

Still feigning ignorance, he said, "Oh? I wonder what you mean."

"I heard that you sealed Aoi's sense of taste."

"Oh, that. Yes, I'm regretting it, though...I should've eaten the girl back then." He said snidely to me.

I figured I would remind him precisely who he was pissing off and bought my power, which I suppressed to the fore. Fear showed on his face as I promised him in a deadly quiet but firm voice, "If you eat Aoi, I'll eat you up from the marrow of your bones to the last pieces of your soul so that there is no piece of you left in this world." He gasps and starts sweating as I continue, "Once you die, your pastimes will be lost to you forever."

"Oh, I'm scared! I don't want to be brutally eaten by the ogre god. Well then, ogre God. Say hello to Aoi-chan for me." And disappears in the blink of an eye, leaving only static behind.

I believe Aoi is safe now. I am proud of what she accomplished.

Ginji told Aoi about most of her memories as a child. He told me that she remembered him, but he told her it wasn't just him who had saved her. He just looked after her while I prepared the food that changed her life.

He also thanked her because of that experience. The ceremony today was successful.

Everyone thanked each other and was grateful to work together.

I look at Ougon-douji-sama, who helped me set up Tenjin-ya. I believe my debt to her has been paid in full now.

We head back home on the airship.

"Aoi," I say

"What is it, Master?"

"You did a good job. It was amazing that you were able to do so much in an unfamiliar place."
I reach out and touch her head.

"Say, Master..."

"What is it?"

"I may have to return your kindness, huh?"

"Oh? Did I do something to deserve it?"

"At first, this was an unfamiliar place that I was forcibly brought to. But now I know that everyone here is a wonderful ayakashi who works with conviction. Tenjin-ya is where my irreplaceable friends and colleagues are and is the most precious place to me. I'm home, Tenjin-ya!"
