RECIPE #03 | Chocolate Chip Cookies 🍪

INTRODUCTION

the common and simple recipe for starters and a recommended to bake during quarantine. this is my favorite type of cookie. one of the best comfort food ever.

DIRECTIONS

1 whisk together the white and brown sugar, salt and melted (liquid) butter until a paste has formed
2 add the egg and the vanilla extract in the mixture then mix it again until light ribbons fall off the whisk
3 sift first the flour and baking soda while putting it in the mixture
4 FOLD the mixture with a spatula until it forms a dough
5 add the chocolate chunks to the mixture and fold it to let the chocolate chunks spread. be careful not to let the chocolate melt !
6 chill the cookie dough for 30 minutes before baking
OPTIONAL you can chill the cookie dough overnight to more intense toffee-like flavor and deeper color
7 after chilling, scoop the dough with a ice cream scoop or make a ball with your hands onto a parchment paper-line baking sheet
NOTE there should be enough space for each cookie ball since it will expand when baking
8 bake for 15 minutes or until the edges are almost brown
9 take the cookies off from the oven then chill it for 10 minutes for it to harden
10 enjoy the cookies with a warm glass of milk !
