Next day they all met in college. After attending two lectures, they sit in canteen.

Preeti, "yaar kal ki dandiya party ke baad aaj toh bilkul man nahin kar raha tha padne ka.. dil kar raha tha phir se jaakar dance karun... sach kitna maja aaya na.. mein toh poori raat naach sakti thi..."

Rohan dramatically hold her hand, "Preeti, meri jaan, kabhi toh kuchh aur bola karo na.. padai na karne ka saare bahane taiyar hote hai na tumhare paas"... in turn he gets a deadly glare from her and a smack on his arm... "bakwaas mat karo varna pit jaaoge..." he rubbed his arm making face, "maar toh diya..." murmured to himself, "aur kar lady bheem se pyaar.. kitn ajor se maarti hai.."

Munna : arey yaar inko chhodo aur yeh socho ki kuchh dinon baad Diwali breaks hone wale hai toh kya karenge... kaise milenge.. yaar ab mein toh itane din tak Swati se mile bina nahin rah sakta...

Swati too agreed, "haan yaar, mein bhi nahin rah sakti... kaash Holi ki tarah college mein Diwali bhi celebrate hoti aur ek hi din ki chhutti hoti toh hum log kam se kam mil toh paate.. uppar se itne lambe dinon ki chhuttiyaan de di college walon ne..."

Samaina looked at each other and realize that they also cannot stay without meeting each other for so long... their eyes pooled with tears but smiled looking at each other... Sameer silently hold her hand under the table, unnoticed by others, squeezed her hand to assure their togetherness...

Preeti said : yaar koshish karenge agar Law garden mein mil paaye kisi bahaane se, vaise toh pakka Mummy kahin nikalne nahin dene wali..

Priya, "haan yeh idea theek rahega... tu chinta mat kar koi na koi bahana toh soch hi lenge... meri mummy ne toh abhi se kaam ki itni lambi si list bana rakhi hai mere liye"

Mundit, "hamare yahaan bhi yahi haal hai... saare ghar ki safai, kabhi pankhe saaf karo, kabhi chhat... yaar yeh chhuttiyan hoti hi kyun hai... isse achchha toh roj subah uth kar college aana hi hai"

They all decided all possible options to meet during this break, but nothing finalize ...

Naina asked him, "Sameer tumhara kya plan hai in chhuttiyon mein"

Sameer, "yaar mein aur Rohan toh bahut busy rahne wale hai... hum ne Nanu ko promise kiya hai ki hum unki factory mein help karenge.. actually, Diwali se pehle kaafi orders poore karne hai delivery ke liye aur Diwali bonus, gift distribution, staff aur relatives ko tohfe dena, toh kaafi jyada workload hai Nanu par.. socha free hai toh unki help hi kar de... isi bahane business circle mein logon se milna bhi ho jayega hamara..." Rohan too nodded and they all plan and give ideas to them to segregate the work properly and complete all tasks before time which helps them a lot...

College holidays starts after three days and they all planned to meet if possible once in a week ... Naina Preeti reached home and saw Bela coming from market with filled of shopping bags.

Preeti, "arey mummy yeh kya saara market hi le aayi... humein bhi toh jaana tha Diwali ki shopping par.. aap akele hi ho aaye..."

Bela, "beta yeh Diwali ki nahin kal karwa Chauth hai na usaki taiyari ke liye hai sab samaan, ab bhabhiji ka bhi toh sab mujhe hi laana padta hai.... voh khud toh apne liye samaan laati nahin, saari list mujhe hi pakda deti hai..."she showed them all stuff she brought for pooja and other rituals... she turned to Naina, "beta tu mere mehndi laga dena raat mein jab sab kaam khatam ho jaaye, yeh nalaayak toh badbu badbu kar ke bhaag jayegi"... Naina nodded in yes and went to her room thinking, "kal karwachauth hai' she smiles getting shy...

After dinner firstly Chachiji made design with mehndi on Taiji's hand and then Naina put beautiful mehndi design on Chachiji's hand.. when they all went for sleep she took the mehndi cone and made a small dot on her both hands so that no one can see it but can't escape from her better half, "behen lagani hai toh poore haath mein hi laga le na, ek bindi se kya hoga... aakhir tera pehla karwa chauth jo hai, mere pyaare Jijaji ke liye...." Preeti said mischievously covering her face under blanket pretending she is sleeping...

Naina said nervously, "voh.. nahin nahin aisi koi baat nahin hai... vaise tu toh so gayi thi na.. naatakbaaj" Preeti sits back and took the mehndi cone from her hand and made a small beautiful design and write "S" hiding in between the design "le ab ho gayi teri mehandi poori.... aur likh diya teri hatheli par tere saiyaan ji ka naam bhi.... ab khush, tere liye aaj pehli baar maine mehandi ki badbu bhi bardasht kar li... " Naina hugged her spreading her hand wrapping in her neck without spoiling her mehndi and kissed on her cheek....they laid down, Preeti slept peacefully whereas Naina keep looking her palms seeing "S" written in her mehndi...

Early morning hours Preeti made her wake up, "Naina uth na... jaldi se sargi kar le varna der ho jayegi... mummy aur taiji ne khaana shuru bhi kar diya hai baahar... mein toh tere liye usi mein se chhupa kar laayi hun.."

Naina, "paagal mein kaise sargi kar sakti hun, Chachiji ko kya kahungi aur phir sargi toh sasural se aati hai na, koi baat nahin mein aise hi vrat rakh lungi, chal tu so ja.."

Preeti, "paagal hai kya.. saara din bhukhi pyaasi kaise rahegi, Sameer bhi na, kuchh bhej nahin sakta tha tere liye... vaise toh bada romantic banta hai.."

Naina said innocently, "voh kyun kuchh bhejega, usse kaise pata hoga, maine usse nahin bataya ki mein vrat rakh rahi hun, aur please tu bhi mat batana, ajeeb lagega thoda"

Preeti, "Kya matlab usse nahin bataya, toh tera vrat kholega kaun, tu bhi na poori paagal hai"

Naina, "voh sab shaam ki shaam ko dekhenge, vaise ek idea hai jisse meri rasam bhi poori ho jayegi... tu voh mera bag degi cupboard mein se.." Preeti give her bag from almirah and she pull out the chocolate pack which he has given her few days back on Dandiya night, "yeh Sameer ne hi diya tha toh mein yeh hi kha leti hun.. meri sargi bhi ho gayi aur rasam bhi nahin tooti..." she eats chocolate to complete her sargi and they both slept back hugging each other smiling.....

They woke up late and after getting ready came out.... While offering tea to the girls, Chachiji saw mehndi design on Naina's hand...

Bela, "Naina tune bhi mehandi lagayi hai..... mujhse bolti mein hi laga deti.. par achanak kaise"...

Preeti came for rescue, "arey mummy voh mehandi ka cone waste ho raha tha aur mujhe laga mein bhi lagane ki practice kar lun iski tarah toh bas maine jabardasti iske haath par laga di... ab chhodo bhi na aur mujhe kuchh khaane ko do".. Naina smiled her back, "thank god tune bacha liya... par mein nahin khaungi dhyaan rakhna.."

Preeti said loudly,"mummy voh mujhe aur Naina ko college ka kuchh kaam hai toh mein hamara khaana kamre mein hi le jaati hun, chal Naina, kamre mein chale" saying this she get the plates in room and eat all alone, "tere chakkar mein na mera pet kharaab ho jayega, double khaana pad raha hai"

Naina picked up the cordless and went outside in balcony and call Sameer, they said together "Hello"

Sameer smiled : kya baat hai aaj subah subah kisi ko meri yaad aa gayi... lagta hai mera aaj ka din achchha jaane wale hai..."

Naina smiled, "mein toh hamesha yeh hi chahungi ki tumhara har din bahut achchha jaaye, sirf aaj ka nahin... achchha yeh chhodo aur bata abhi kya kar rahe ho"
Sameer, "kuchh nahin bas aaj thodi der se utha hunt oh factory jaane ki taiyari hi kar raha tha, kal bhi itna kaam tha ki aate aate der ho gayi thi.. aaj bhi bahut kaam hai, kuchh important clients aur Nanu ke close doston ko apne haath se gift dene jaana hai.... shayad aate aate shaam ho jaayegi... agar der ho jaaye toh tum so jaana, mere phone ka wait mat karti rehna..."

Naina gets bit sad thinking, "oh... matlab poore din baat bhi nahin ho payegi".. she said, "koi baat nahin.. tum kaam karo, mein phone rakhti hun... I love you"

Sameer smiled, "I Love you too Jaan" she blushed and disconnect the line... Sameer keeps thinking, "aisa kyun laga kuchh kehna chahti hai par kaha nahin, dobara phone karun kya.... Par nahin abhi late ho raha hai, Rohan aur Nanu baahar wait kar rahe hai, baad mein dekhta hun" he left for factory with Rohan & Nanu

Taiji as usual strictly instruct her to be in room only for whole day especially in evening and should not come in front of her being bad omen on such an auspicious day for her, which in turn helps her to hid her fasting from others..... Preeti tried to argue but Naina stops her, "chhod na... hum unki soch nahin badal sakte aur aaj ke din ghar mein koi kalesh nahin hona chahiye... mein nahin toh kya tu Chachiji ka dhyan rakhna aur koshish karna unko jyaada kaam na karna pade... varna Taiji saara din khud toh hilengi bhi nahin kah kar ki kamjori ho rahi hai aur bechari Chachiji ko kaam mein bhagati rahengi..." whole day they both keep planning for how to break the fast in evening without noticed by any elder at home but nothing much work out so decided to break it in balcony itself after all sleep ...

Preeti insists her, "Naina, tu Sameer ko bata de na... kitna khush ho jaayega... ab jab usake liye vrat rakha hai toh usse pata toh hona hi chahiye na... phir kya pata vrat khulwane bhi aa jaaye..."

Naina feels shy thinking how he will react knowing about her fasting, "nahin na..... mujhe sharam aati hai yaar... vaise bhi voh yahaan toh aa nahin sakta vrat khulwane toh usse kyun pareshaan karna.. aur usane bataya bhi tha ki aaj voh bahut busy hai Nanu ke saath".

Preeti, "par tu batayegi toh voh sab chhod chhad ke aa jayega na, tu jaanti hai Sameer ko, please na bata de na, kitna maja aayega"

Naina hit on her arm, "yahaan maine vrat rakha hai aur tujhe entertainment chahiye, chal ja aur jaakar Chachiji ki madad kar... unka vrat bhi hai aur saara kaam unhein akele karna pad raha hai"

Preeti stomped her foot on ground and left murmuring, "poori paagal hai, pata nahin Sameer kaise handle karta hai isako... vaise voh kaun sa kan paagal hai... donon ek jaise hi toh hai..." Naina laughed on her mimics....

She was left alone in room, open her cupboard she took out their pictures of Mount abu, caressing on his face, "kaash aaj tum mere paas hote, kitna man tha ki tumhein batati par subah himmat hi nahin hui, samajh nahin aaya ki kya kahti, kaise batati, bas yahi soch kar sharam aa gayi aur mein bata bhi nahin paayi, par bahut yaad aa rahi hai tumhari... sachchi" she kiss on his photo and keep it back in the almirah...

In late afternoon, Chachiji & Taiji went mandir to listen Katha with other ladies in society whereas Naina found theopportunity to do this ritual at home itself. Preeti bring a book which has thefull story of karwachauth and they both do all rituals as best of theirknowledge and complete her pooja..
