Manik returned to Delhi after three months. It's month of November. Delhi is cold by now. He don't want officers to suffer with him outside in this cold weather but he so wanted to check on Nandini and see her once. It's time for her delivery, according to Mukthi it was happen in this week.

Manik is impatient. He so wanted to see her, feel her touch her kiss her even make love to her. He smiled at his own cravings. He heard that when girls are pregnant there hormones make them crazy they go emotional, they have cravings for some food items like chocolate ice cream or any thing sour to taste.

"Does Pihu have same issues? Or she is just missing me and neglecting baby? No no she is so responsible she will never neglect baby but she might be silently crying for me. God punish me hard but let her smile never fade away and keep my baby safe and healthy." Manik prayed

Manik walked to his car, Ram Mohan came, "shall we go to your place?"
"Yes I just need to see her once"
"She might be sleeping"
"Ya but why I don't know today I have some odd feeling it's good or bad one I am unable to put a finger on it, I just want to see her once will come back fast" Manik is impatient

Manik came to Nehru Place. He just brought Ram Mohan with him. Both switched on heater in car and locked the doors. Manik is in driving seat observing the house silently. He is hell tired since from three months he is roaming every state in India.

Public meetings, private meetings and so many events discussions and decisions made his energy drain, he lost so much weight in this time span of nine months. Today sleep is over taking him.

When Manik is in deep sleep, some one knocked the window of car, Manik sleep disturbed and found its pinky he hurriedly opened door
"Sir!!! Babyji is going through pains"
"What one more week is there na?"
"It is ok but she is in pain I need to take her to hospital"
"Ok!!!! Do one thing call Mukthi hospital and ask her to come fast"
"Sir babyji is alone she is screaming"
"Where is MAji???"
"She is not well she is hospital I am with her"
Manik ran inside and heard Nandini screams from bedroom, he ran to bedroom, she is on floor screaming, Manik got tears and panicked a moment
Pinky and Ram came back of him
"Sir what are you thinking we need to go to hospital"
Ram shouted Manik composed himself lifted Nandini in arms and came out. Ram started car. Pinky brought a bag and locked the house came running.

They in car Nandini is in Manik's lap, she is screaming Manik is trying to make her breath
"Pihu!!! Breathe" she is hell tired and slept Manik got panic "what happened?" He checked pulse it's normal he gasped in happiness
"It's common they will get tired and sleep when pain hits again they will scream" ram explained

In half an hour they reached hospital when Manik was about to go Ram stopped him and made him wear an apron and gave mask for him, so that no one can recognise him.

Manik lifted Nandini she got another wave of pain she took Manik's arm in her mouth and bit him very harshly he hissed but the pain she is experiencing is much much more so he worried about her. Nurse guided them to labour room. Mukthi is already present.

Mukthi checked Nandini "how is she Mukthi?"
"Labour started may be to night your son may come to see you all the best" Mukthi smiled
"Is she ok??? Can she get through if not we can go for c section did your operation theatre ready?"
"Manik Manik chuppppp!!!!!!! She is fine and she can just be with her don't panic and how are you?" She hugged him. Manik hugged her too

"I am just breathing to live so I am fine she is really fine?" Manik eyes are glued to Nandini's face. He touched the stomach it's like something which he want to experience since from day one of her pregnancy. Mukthi understood

"Manik see here she is going through pains but it will take more than two or three hours be her side and just check time to time I will take a nap"
"What are you insane she is in pain and you want to take a nap I am going to kill you Mukthi"
"Shut up!!!!! You are a doctor did you forget?" Mukthi hit him on head "take care of her since from nine months I took care of her now you do your duty anyway this is all because of your hormones did you forget bare it" she winked and left both. Manik blushed

Nandini is sleeping after a lot of screaming, Manik is talking to her smoothing her with his talks asking her to breath and providing her some supplements.
"Manik" Nandini called him
Manik came near her and kissed her softly and found she is murmuring in sleep. Manik got tears. He again kissed her lips and then came to her stomach and kissed it "champ please don't trouble your mom please" he said softly
Nandini screamed again this time it is like never ending Manik checked and found head piercings out, he want to scream in happiness but Nandini screams made hit reality, he slowly took the head of baby and pulled it she screamed in high pitch. Baby boy finally came out, Manik got tears. Nandini is awake but she not in full scenes
"Boy or a girl?"
"Pihu it's our son"
"Manik you came?" She widened her eyes to see him but she is hell tired
"Yes look at him" Nandini took him in arms kissed his forehead "it's boy you won"
"Yes I knew it's boy" Manik kissed her softly
Mukthi was taking photos of all the things since she left the room to make it as a golden moment for her friend she knew she is needed now she came asked Manik to clean the baby boy and she cleaned Nandini uterus and did some stitches. Manik cleaned baby boy wrapped him in a soft cotton cloth and showed to Mukthi as Nandini is sleeping
Mukthi kissed him "Manik feed him"
"What? What should I feed him shall I bring some milk?"
"Manik give him his mother milk" she scolded
Manik came to Nandini and he unbutton her hospital dress and gave the baby her nipple he held it fast and tight she is feeling exotic her expression was divine all the pain she went through vanished and soft smile encrypted on her lips. Manik too smiled kissed both "Manik" she wishpered
"I am always with you Pihu"

Mukthi made Manik hold the baby and she made Nandini to stand up Manik shouted "Mukthi what are doing let me lift her you hold him"
"Manik let me do my work she need to walk to make her body accustomised with new changes if not she may get complications you hold your son" she scolded

Nandini refused to walk as her body is drained out but Mukthi forcefully made her to take few steps and then made her sit in wheelchair
"What is your name?" Mukthi asked as Nandini is in half sleep mode
"Nandini"
"Full name?"
"Nandini Malhotra"
Mukthi shocked and looked at Manik he is smiling
"What is the name of your son's father?"
"Manik Malhotra"
"What is your sons name?"
"Kruthik Manik Malhotra" she smiled a little while pronouncing his name for first time Manik came running hugged both his son and Nandini tight kissed her hard "look at me Pihu" he demanded
Nandini forcefully opened her eyes "I love you" he kissed her again with tears
"I love you manik it's our baby boy I need to show him" she is ranting in sleep Manik got tears he kissed the baby boy all over again and again he is dying from inside to leave them and go but he as to go as it's almost half day past and he is missing from night.

"Manik take good care of you for her and your son Manik see yourself you lost weight"
"I will How is abhi and cabir?"
"He got married to Rohini"
"Yes I got invitation"
"When did you guys married? And why didn't we know this?"
"Long story ask Pihu I need to go and please please make her strong and healthy and he needs vaccinations"
"Take him for first vaccination Manik"
"Shall I?"
"Yes"
"No no he will cry I cannot handle"
"You have to go to third room left side"
Manik with fear and excitement took the boy outside, Ram and pinky came running. Manik showed them the boy and walked to third room left and found Neha. He is shocked
"You are here?"
"Manik" she came running and hugged him and took his son hands "he is as handsome as you"
"Thank you how are you?"
"Fine and its all because of you"
"No you suffered because of me all are suffering because of me"
"Shut up Manik only Nandini is suffering, he is 3 kgs good healthy boy" she checked his all body parts noted his moles, made him cry, Manik is worried but Neha laughed seeing him all worried. She finally gave him vaccines and prescribed only mother milk and some medicines. Manik took him back and bid bye to Neha and came out.

Ram took prescription and ran to medical store to bring medicines, Pinky guided Manik to Nandini's room. She is still sleeping. Manik made his son sleep besides her. He started to cry again Manik slowly guided him to have milk he happily took in mouth. He smiled kissed Nandini
"Pihu!!!!! Look at me" she opened eyes
"Take care of yourself and him"
"Manik don't leave" she begged he got tears
"I have to" He wishpered
"Please" she again begged
Manik hugged her tight kissed her "I love you"
"I loverrrrr......
she slept. Manik came out with tears earned pinky to take best care and enquires about Nandini's mom. She is in same hospital. He walked to her ward he himself checked her and found just slight weakness and blood pressure is high. He checked medicines
"I want to go home my daughter is ready for delivery she needs me" sharada is requesting doctor to discharge him
Manik just looked all sides and found everyone busy in their works he removed his mask. She gasped "Manik????"
"Pihu delivered its boy she is fine and taking rest Pinky is with her. How are you?" He got tears he remembered the day when parth died her pale face made him vulnerable
"She is suffering a lot Manik"
"I know" he again kept his mask "I need to go please you are only one left for I beg you please take care of yourself she cannot efford loosing you"
"I won't leave her alone like you" sharada taunted
"I know sorry is not enough but still I am sorry" he bowed in front of her
"Go away Manik I don't want you be in this state still I feel you like my son"
"I am"
"Go away"
Manik hugged her she cried hugging him
Manik wiped her tears and bid bye left
