Laurel didn't expect to find someone that could relate to her disorder, after trying to self-heal for the longest time she had no one to speak to. Although Seokjin was a leverage holding her up when she felt as though she'd fall, she was thankful of the twisted relationship she and Ji-Su had.
The two walked in silence to the small cafe around the corner. It was Laurel's choice, Ji-Su silently admitting she doesn't eat out often due to her disorder made Laurel realize, Ji-Su had no idea of the decent restaurants in town, many of which Seokjin introduced her to. Silently getting a table and sitting in the seats she was the first to speak.
"Thank you, for being so nice, I really don't deserve this, I don't deserve anything." she sighed her tiny body was surrounded in her oversized sweater her pale face had red blotches from the severe crying, all things that Laurel could understand.
The waitress proceeded to ask what drinks they'll be having as they answered warm tea simultaneously. The casualty of the drink preference allowed Laurel to muster up the courage to ask the very thing that crossed her mind.
"Tell me why Ji-Su—why do you hate me so much?" Laurel questioned as she locked eyes with girl across from her.
"Laurel I don't hate you ... I envied you, when I saw you that day I was practicing for auditions... I was surprised, you were one of the best dancers in class, my biggest competition," she looked down at her entangled hands.
"To believe you had the same condition as me ... was hard, you seemed like the most perfect girl to the public... perfect boyfriend, perfect training, perfect friends all things that I lacked. "
"I'm very far from perfect, I believe it was all a part of a facade, you think you're getting closer to the level of perfection you desire but it's unrealistic." Laurel sighed.
"And then you end up in my situation." Ji-Su laughed silently "you get what you want but you're unable to enjoy it— how is it. how is recovery?" she questioned her eyes begging for some truth.
"Hard I suppose, the struggle is immense but Seokjin is there for me." Laurel thought about how blessed she was to have Jin.
"I think I want to try." Ji-Su spoke quietly," I want to try to be happy."
Laurel thought about the options she was once given, as she scrambled through her purse searching for the folded glossy pamphlets that she kept zipped up.
"Try these—They're rehabilitation centers, specifically for people like us." Ji-Su took the pamphlets and read over them.
"Will they judge me?" she questioned as Laurel shook her head.
"No, they're here to help you can keep them if you like." she confirmed.
Ji-Su eyed the pamphlets then placing them in her pocket looking to Laurel as if to say thank you.
"We should get going. We have practice soon." Ji-Su spoke as Laurel agreed.

In the studio, Laurel and Ji-Su walked in side by side as Jimin stared with a stunned expression. Feeling a tap on her shoulder she turned to see him
"why are you hanging out with — her?" he eyed Ji-Su silently then turned to face Laurel again.
"We had a conversation and made amends." she spoke positively.
"Does Seokjin know about this?" Jimin questioned.
"No, and he shouldn't mind either." Laurel sassed as she put on her ballet slippers.
Jimin was concerned after being pressured by his Hyung daily to keep an eye on Laurel's well-being, he thought her new friendship wasn't in good spirit.
"Okay class from the beginning our informal is tonight," Professor Hyun-Jae shouted "first Jimin and Eunji " she added.
Jimin pushed himself up from the dance floor and waited patiently for his dance partner but she was nowhere to be seen. "Eunji ?!" She questioned and it wasn't until a small Eunji struggled to get into class with a foot boot that the class realized she wasn't invincible.
"Hello Professor, I apologize in advance but I raptured my Achilles." she frowned as she hopped to the nearest chair.
"Jimin, do you think you can do a solo ensemble?" Professor Hyun-Jae asked as Jimin shifted in his position.
"This was originally a duet... I'd prefer to do it with Laurel Professor." Laurel was stunned that Jimin would give his solo opportunity away. Professor Hyun-Jae looked towards Laurel and nodded.
"Very well then, Laurel and Jimin." she spoke as she proceeded to play the music.
"Go Noona." Jungkook whispered as she made her way center stage.
Laurel was anxious, the last time She attempted this duet she passed out. Jimin took his hand in hers with a slight squeeze to show comfort. "You got this" he mouthed as she nodded in response.
They both danced gracefully as they've done time and time again. Never forgetting that the duet was made for them. When the music finished they ended in their last position as Jungkook and Hoseok clapped loudly making Laurel blush and laugh.
She turned to Ji-Su who had a small smile on her face, she was genuinely impressed with Laurel's dance ability and not confident in her own.
When professor Hyun-Jae called for Ji-Su and Jungkook she shut her eyes tightly afraid of messing up like she did prior.
She tried her best, remembering each dance move that she could in the mist of fatigue she was feeling. "Cut-Cut" the music halted as Professor Hyun-Jae eyed Ji-Su. "You dance like you weigh a ton, you have no energy, It's finalized Jungkook... Do this as a solo we have no time." she shouted.
Ji-Su slumped her shoulders as she grabbed her bag and left the premises. Laurel was about to help her new friend when she felt a hand on her wrist.
"Don't go—" Jimin begged "sometimes people need to be alone for a while." he continued.
Laurel sighed as she sat between Hoseok and Jimin and watched Jungkook perform his duet as a solo. He did it effortlessly as though he was waiting for this moment. Smiling he made his way towards Laurel and Jimin satisfied.
"I'm gonna kill it tonight Hyung."his face lit up in happiness.

The class informal was close to beginning and Laurel sat backstage sharing a fruit bowl with Jimin. "Are you ready?" He questioned.
"I wonder what Jin would think." she stated as she smiled. She wanted it to be a surprise that she got her solo back last minute so she and Jimin didn't inform Seokjin.
Jin came with her lunch as he always did but she decided on sharing it with her dance partner since he foolishly forgot his own.
"Hey Jimin!" The two we're awaken from their tranquil state as a broken Eunji approached them. She was leaning on her crutches with a small smile. "I hope you two break a leg, this was made for you." her heart shaped face lit up as Jimin stood to give her a hug.
"We're hanging out later, to celebrate ...you should really come." he asked nervously as her eyes lit up at the sight of him.
"I'll be there." she confirmed as she continued on her way.
"Oooo." Laurel laughed as she mocked Jimin.
"Please she's just my friend ." Jimin defended rolling his eyes.
The show had started as everyone proceeded to their beginning positions. Laurel waited anxiously on the sidelines for Jimin to come off stage. She thought about how she looked, she wanted to appear delicate on stage and small but her negative thoughts were stopped by a panting Jungkook.
"You're gonna do great Noona I promise." he comforted, making Laurel smile. It was almost as he noticed the worrisome expression on her face.
Soon Jimin ran behind stage and took her hand. "Jin will be amazed." he spoke as their cue began.
Laurel stood in her beginning position as she searched for Seokjin among the crowd. Her heart sank as she couldn't find his face. The music began as she started dance with Jimin, although graceful together she couldn't hide the expression of sadness on her face not seeing Jin worried her.
Her smile expanded as she saw him next to Taehyung and Yoongi with a bouquet of roses near the doorway. When the music ended she embraced Jimin in a hug as they bowed. Walking backstage she came into contact with Ji-Su.
"Hi, you did amazing." she smiled.
"I'm so sorry about what happened earlier." Laurel spoke as Ji-Su shook her head.
"Really, don't be, I couldn't perform to my best ability so it's rightfully so."
"Jagiya!" Seokjin ran up to Laurel with a smile until it faded at the sight of Ji-Su.
"I should really get going." she spoke looking from Seokjin to Laurel.
"Wait, we're having a party tonight at the dorms you're invited if you want to come." She felt Jin's arm snake around her waist as a sign of his discomfort.
"No, I really shouldn't intrude, enjoy your party." she smiled as she began to walk through the crowd of people.
Laurel frowned she really felt pity for Ji-Su and everything she's gone through. She was certain that she would've taken the offer of the party but she politely declined.
"Jagiya why didn't you tell me you got your solo!" Jin held her tightly as he pressed soft kisses to her neck.
"Jimin and I thought it'll be a great surprise." she laughed. Seokjin handed her the bouquet of roses with a card inside them.
"They're good for some time and if one welts I'll buy another bouquet." he confirmed.
"Thank you." she responded with a smile as she intertwined her small hand in his.
"Are you ready?" He asked looking at her solemn expression.
She thought about all she went through to get this solo. She thought this would've been her prized moment and all she wished.Somehow it didn't feel as though it was her biggest achievement since moving to Korea. She had friends and love and that's what she was most thankful for.
"Of course." she grinned as they began to walk towards Jimin, Hoseok, and Jungkook who were patiently waiting for them near the door.
