Santa Baby: Jongyoung
All too soon, Wooyoung finds himself dancing to Christmas carols in the kitchen as he cooks for him and Jongho their Christmas Eve dinner. But this year, he's supporting a large baby belly that was ready to pop any moment now.
Last year, after Jongho proposed to him on Christmas Day when after their ceremonial reveal of their desirable presents, they both made the decision to start the near year off together as a married couple. And on January 3rd, the couple made it happen.
They were married, and spent a week on the beach for their honeymoon. It was the best week ever for Wooyoung and Jongho. After they were married, they did a lot of thinking about their future, and what they wanted from it. When Wooyoung brought up the mention of children around late March, Jongho surprised him by shrugging and saying, "Let's have one."
"Wait, what? You mean it?" Wooyoung asked, looking at his husband in shock.
"Yeah," Jongho chuckles, taking Wooyoung's hand in his as he looks into his eyes, "I love you Wooyoung, and I've always wanted two things from you: to have you as my husband, and to have you as the mother of my children. When I say let's have a baby, I've already thought about it and hope we would soon. I want a little you and a little me running around here."
Needless to say, that conversation turned into something more as a month later Wooyoung found out he was pregnant. The couple were ecstatic and were over joyed. Overall, Wooyoung has had a pretty easy pregnancy. His morning sickness lasted about a month when he first found out he was pregnant, he didn't crave weird things- well, he takes that back. He would kill for some soft pretzels and cheese sauce.
Feeling the baby move and kick, finding out they're having a baby girl, setting up the nursery. All of it was so bittersweet for the couple and they could not wait until their little girl gets here in their awaiting arms. She was due the day after Christmas, but from the Braxton Hicks he had been experiencing, and from their doctors appointment yesterday he is already dilated to a two, he thinks she'll be here by Christmas Eve or Christmas Day.
And luck is on his side since it is Jongho's last day for paternity leave from work. His husband walks in and sighs, "Youngie, you're supposed to be taking it easy!"
"I did!" Wooyoung rolls his eyes, "I made a ham in the crockpot and mashed potatoes with gravy. That's all I made."
"You're literally about to pop a baby out any day," Jongho comes over to him and places his hands on the older's hips, "Go sit down."
"But the-"
"I'll take care of everything and bring you a plate," Jongho kisses him, smiling, "Go. Sit."
Wooyoung grumbles, and with his cute waddle he adopted now, walks to the living room and lowers himself on the couch slowly. He hisses when his back and stomach cramps up, placing a hand on the top of his belly feeling their little girl kick furiously inside, "Daddy's bringing food baby, give him a moment."
Just as promised, Jongho brings in a plate of hot food for his pregnant husband, giving it to him gently and sitting down right beside the blonde to eat his own plate. Wooyoung winces when he felt another cramp, awfully close to the one he just had... he frowns, keeping note of it as he continues to eat. Pretty soon, another one that was just as bad, if not worse, made him make a small noise of surprise. Almost sounding like a whimper.
Jongho turns his attention to him, catching Wooyoung cup the side of his belly as he frowns, "Are you okay?"
"I-I don't know," Wooyoung whimpers, feeling another cramp and soon he felt a subtle pop and the couch below him was instantly wet. His eyes widen, "Uh, I think my water just broke."
"What?! Just now?!" Jongho asks, setting his still full plate on the coffee table and standing, "Here let me-"
"Wait wait wait," Wooyoung cries out, feeling a worse cramp ripple through his stomach and back, he sets his plate aside and rocks back and forth as his chin buried itself into his chest, "Oh god this hurts."
Everything was hitting him at once: the pain, the smell of the amniotic fluid wading in his nose, the stress about dinner and how their house is going to be a mess now. He cries, looking to Jongho, "Call San, see if him and Yeosang can come over to clean dinner up while we go to the hospital."
"What? Why don't I just go do it real quick-"
"Because we need to get to the hospital," Wooyoung growls, whining in pain as he cups his belly, "I don't want to give birth in our home."
"You're not going to give birth in our home, okay? I'll go put everything away, and that way when we get home after having the baby we can still enjoy our meal okay?" Jongho reasons, leaning down and kissing Wooyoung's forehead, "I'm not calling our friends to do it, that's silly."
"Fuck," Wooyoung cries, leaning back and clenching his eyes shut, "I never expected that to hurt so bad."
"I'll be quick," Jongho promises, doing a mental check down of where everything is and if he's got the bags packed. Bags have been ready for a week now, Wooyoung was pretty organized when it came to all of this. Bags were also in the nursery by the door, ready to go.
Jongho is quick to put the ham in the fridge and everything else he packs in there as well quickly. Then, he races to the rooms to grab items to clean and redress Wooyoung, then the bags. He came barreling into the living room just as Wooyoung started in on another contraction, his poor husband whimpers and sobs slightly, "How are you holding up baby?"
"Hurts," Wooyoung whimpers, rocking back and forth on his spot on the couch, crying silently, "I'm not having another baby after her. I can't do this."
"Yes you can," Jongho whispers, kissing his temple, "let me go take these down to the car and I'll come back and help you." He smiles, hoisting the bags on his shoulder as he processes in his mind that he's going to be a daddy here soon.

It took them a good twenty minutes to get to the hospital and for Wooyoung to get checked in. The contractions were about ten minutes apart and lasting for about a minute and a half. Wooyoung was immediately changed into a hospital gown and many wires were attached to him and his bare belly, the baby's heart beat resonated throughout the room.
"Alright Wooyoung," the doctor smiles, "You're dilated to six centimeters and you're about eighty percent effaced. Do you want the epidural?"
"Yes," Wooyoung nods, "I am not having this baby without one."
And just like that, Wooyoung and Jongho we're preparing themselves for the epidural. They had Wooyoung leaning against Jongho, the pregnant male whimpers as a contraction attacks his back and stomach. When they brought in the needle, Jongho did everything he could to take Wooyoung's mind off of it as they did breathing techniques.
The needle was huge, and it even made Jongho fear for his husband's lower spine. Wooyoung sobs when the needle pierces his lower back, injecting the serum before they remove the needle, "All done!"
"That was horrible," Wooyoung whimpers, wiping his face clean from tears.
"Look at it this way," Jongho smiles, "You are almost there!"
Wooyoung sighs, "Fan-fucking-tastic."

Christmas Eve was drawing to an end, and their time in the hospital seemed to drag the closer Wooyoung got to delivering. As early morning approaches on Christmas Day, Wooyoung moans in pain and tilts his head back, "I think I need to push."
Jongho is quick to hit the call button on the side of the bed, looking up just in time to see Wooyoung spreading his legs, bending them back and his face straining, "Good job baby, nice big pushes."
A nurse enters and gasps, lifting the blanket to see the baby's head crowning, "Keep pushing just like that Wooyoung! I'm going to run and grab the doctor!"
"We're going to have a Christmas baby," Jongho smiles, taking Wooyoung's hand in his as the blonde grunts, "Good job baby you're doing so well."
"Shut up," Wooyoung growls, not even realizing the team of nurses and doctors enter to cheer him on as he pushes their little girl out.
Jongho watches with adoration and love, whispering encouragement to the blonde as he pushes and pushes. The doctor and nurses cheer when the little head was exposed, she was coming out quickly and everyone was prepared. The doctor even made a comment about how this was the quickest birth he's ever had.
Jongho looks in between Wooyoung's legs, seeing his little girl's face and his eyes water, "Youngie she's beautiful, you have to see her!"
"I fucking hate you right now," Wooyoung whimpers, then sobs as he shakes his head, "I don't mean that I love you I'm sorry!" He pushes again, what feels like water fills his ears from how hard he's pushing, "Fuck I can't do this!!"
"Yes you can baby you're almost done!" Jongho cheers on, holding his hand tighter as the older releases a powerful groan. He was pushing so hard his face was starting to turn red and the nurses and doctor kept instructing him to breath. They ended up putting an oxygen mask on him, since the baby's heart rate was dropping as she was making her way out. Wooyoung pushes one more time, and it was enough to push their little girl out into the world.
A series of loud, shrill like cries fill the air and Wooyoung gasps for air, feeling a weight on his chest. His vision was a little blurry as he looks down, catching sight of their beautiful baby girl in his arms, "Oh! Hi baby," he sobs, "You're so pretty oh my god!"
"Isn't she a doll?" Jongho sniffles, wiping his eyes from the tears he's shedding as he looks down at his perfect baby girl, "Hello sweet Christmas angel. Look at all of that hair you have on your head!"
Wooyoung laughs, wiping his eyes quickly so he can enjoy staring down at her. She did have quite a bit of hair, it was dark right now but he thinks she'll be a brunette like Jongho. He didn't get to hold her long, they instructed Jongho where to cut the cord and they take her away to be cleaned and weighed and measured while Wooyoung delivered the afterbirth. Not before Wooyoung sent her away with a small kiss to her forehead.
Jongho slips away to go take in the information about his little girl. She weighed six pounds and three ounces, she measured seventeen and a half inches long, and her time of birth was 4:15 a.m. on December 25th.
Once they put a tiny diaper and hat on her, they swaddle her in a hospital blanket and hand her over to Jongho. The dad looks down with so much pride at his little creation he made with Wooyoung. His heart felt so full, she looked exactly like Wooyoung except for her eyes and lips. She had those strictly from Jongho.
And she had the chubbiest cheeks he had ever seen on a newborn baby.
"Baby girl," he whispers, looking down at her, "You're so perfect and beautiful."
He kisses her tiny forehead, nuzzling his nose against her soft skin and enjoying the scent of baby body wash. Wooyoung was cleaned and changed out of the dirty clothes before he was set back down on the clean sheets, holding his arms out for her, "I want to see her again babe."
Jongho chuckles, a timid finger traces her perfect little nose that belonged to Wooyoung as well, "Time to go back to mommy little one. He gets a little impatient."
"I heard that," Wooyoung rolls his eyes, reaching for her, "Bring her to me," he whines.
Jongho laughs softly, obeying as he lays her gently in his arms, the mother gasps as he holds her close. She was fussy the entire time they were cleaning her but now that she was in the arms of her mother and father she didn't care what was going on around her. She yawns softly as soon as Wooyoung snuggles her closer to his chest, they removed his gown to do skin to skin after they were done cleaning him.
She nuzzles her face in his chest and Wooyoung couldn't help but sob as she done so, a soft coo escapes her tiny lips. A nurse enters the room with a clipboard, smiling as she set her eyes on the new parents, "Congratulations on the beautiful baby girl, what's the lucky little one's name?"
Wooyoung and Jongho look to one another and grin. They had planned this name the entire pregnancy if it was a girl and if she was born on Christmas only. It still would've been used, but the couple would've enjoyed it more if she was born on Christmas Day or Christmas Eve instead of the day after.
Jongho turns to her, "Holly. Choi Holly."
