Farmer's Daughter : Jongyoung

Jongho sighs as he steps up on the wooden front porch, his boots clanking up them noisily until he gets to the door. Making sure he takes them off, the last thing he wanted was for his heavily pregnant husband to have to clean up a mess.

Bailey's claws clink on the wood as he walks up to Jongho, waiting patiently for the farmer to give him attention with a small whine. Jongho chuckles, ruffling the fluffy head before grabbing a treat from the container next to the door. He holds the treat up, "Bailey, sit." The dog sat, licking his lips as he focuses on the treat in Jongho's fist. "Bailey, shake." The dog once more obeys, shaking Jongho's opposite hand where the treat wasn't. "Good boy, now Bailey, lay down." Once more, the dog listens and lays down on the ground, looking up at Jongho with large, brown eyes. Jongho chuckles, giving the dog the treat before petting him softly, "Good boy, go get some sleep."

Bailey ate the treat, then gets up to run off around the farm. The restaurant was busy as ever, but Wooyoung wasn't present there. He went earlier to make sure everything was well stocked up before he goes on maternity leave, the last thing Jongho would want is his husband to go to work earlier into maternity leave because of a product being low.

And even after being on the farm most of the day, Jongho will make sure the restaurant is in good shape before coming home like he has ever since Wooyoung entered the third trimester. The farmer opened the door, and walked in to the smell of dinner cooking. He couldn't quite place the smell, but it was definitely something to do with steak and garlic. He closes the door and looks around, "Woo? Baby?"

"Kitchen!" Wooyoung calls, and immediately Jongho goes to him.

Jongho peeks in the kitchen and he swears he falls in love with Wooyoung every time he sees him. There's just something about the older, even before he supported the large baby bump he has now, that just draws to Jongho. Now that he's due any day with their little girl, he falls even more in love with Wooyoung if that is even possible.

"Hey baby," Wooyoung smiles, easily placing the steaks on a nice dish to take to the table. But before he can leave the stove, Jongho immediately takes the dish and sets it on the dining room table for him. Wooyoung places his hands on his hips, sassily jutting a hip out as he huffs, "Jesus Jong, I'm not going to break from carrying a plate of food two feet away from one destination."

Jongho chuckles, cupping his husband's face in his large hands before kissing him, "Well hello to you too."

"Hello, quit treating me like I'm going to break," Wooyoung sasses, smirking slightly before placing another kiss on Jongho's lips.

"I'm just worried about you, you're going to pop any day now-"

"And just because I'm due any day doesn't mean you can smother me like you did when I was sick," Wooyoung spoke softly, "Baby, I'm not going to fall apart. I'll be okay. I swear it's like I have-"

"Don't say it," Jongho pouts, "I know after your procedures there is a great possibility that you're not going to get it again, but I really don't want to think about it."

Wooyoung rolls his eyes, "It's been years, Jongho."

"Four, to be exact."

"Still," Wooyoung smiles, shaking his head, "I'm okay. We're okay, about to be better because we have a baby girl on the way," Wooyoung places his husband's hand on his belly, the tiny feet of their child kicked lazily at the top of his belly, "And she missed her daddy's snuggles today."

Jongho smiles, bending down to be eye level with the large belly as he kisses it gently, "I missed snuggling with her too."

"Come on, let's eat. I made your favorite, rib eye steaks with garlic mashed potatoes and steamed veggies. And, I have a cheesecake ready for dessert," Wooyoung winks, brushing back his husband's hair as he tries to pull away to go eat.

As they ate, Wooyoung experiences a few Braxton Hicks contractions and had to stop eating to lean back in his chair slightly. Thankfully, he was able to enjoy dinner and much to Jongho's dislike, he cleaned the kitchen really well. Something told Jongho something was going to happen tonight, so as a precaution he made sure the hospital bags for all three of them were in the truck and everything was ready to go.

And it turns out, his gut feeling was correct.

Around three in the morning, Wooyoung woke up to use the restroom and while he was in there, his water broke. The nearest town was a bit of ways away, so to not risk it Jongho immediately helped Wooyoung into the truck and they took off to the hospital.

Once there, they immediately checked Wooyoung in and hooked him up to a few machines. Labor for the older was very quick, and in no time Wooyoung was pushing. Labor, and delivery both flew by quickly for the couple, and by noon they had a baby girl in their arms.

She was so precious, she looked almost identical to Jongho except for Wooyoung's eyes. She was also small, only measuring at eighteen inches long and weighing about five pounds. She was a tiny thing, and Jongho was worried he would hurt her. A nurse brought in the birth certificate for the parents to sign, and their baby girl's name is now officially and legally Choi Reine.

Eventually, they were clear to bring in guests for visitation, and of course the first to show up was San and Pierre. The business man took one look at the little girl and his eyes watered, "She's absolutely beautiful Youngie, congratulations."

"Thank you," Wooyoung smiles, "She was definitely worth the wait."

Pierre got to hold her shortly after San, and he too was captivated by her beauty. San's mother showed up and held her for a moment as well, and then it was just the small family of three.

Wooyoung and Reine spent three days in the hospital before they were cleared to go home, and once they were all home Wooyoung felt even more at peace. Growing up, it was no secret that Reine loves animals.

Every time she got her hands on a kitten or a puppy, it would be challenging to get the poor animal out of her arms and hands. She rode her first horse at six months with Jongho's help, and all by herself she rode a pony when she was a little over two years old. And when it comes to helping on the farm, she was always there with her tiny cowgirl boots and tiny cow girl hat ready to go.

Anytime a baby animal is born, she was always the one to name it too. Sure they would always end up with a few weird ones like "Sweeney" or "Brownie," but their little girl was always the one to name every animal they get.

And any animal after that, she never hesitated to show love. She always brought home a stray animal and begged her parents to keep them even if it was a large river toad. Of course her parents couldn't say no to an animal, their house became more and more like a small zoo.

But they wouldn't have it any other way.
