Ego : ONEUS

Three carriages arrive at the Castle Noir, all three sporting different colors and representing their own kingdoms. The first to arrive, a bright red carriage with the main symbol of the sun. The king of Castle Rouge steps out as soon as the carriage came to a stop in front of the marble steps of Castle Noir, he held a hand out for his Queen.

"We must be early," the Queen, Hwanwoong, spoke as he flattens the invisible wrinkles in his red dress.

"We must be," the king, Youngjo, chuckles, "Better to be early than to be late."

Not far behind them, another carriage pulls into the courtyard sporting a bright green color. The carriage belonged to Castle Verte, the carriage pulled in behind Castle Rouge, only instead of a sun their symbol for their kingdom is the head of a horned stag. The King exits first, looking around and smiling widely when he came face to face with King Youngjo, "Well, I figured you would beat me here Youngjo."

The king of Castle Rouge chuckles, holding a hand out and the two kings shake hands respectfully, "My dear friend Keonhee. So good for you to join us."

"Not just me," King Keonhee if Castle Verte smiles, walking back to his carriage and holding his hand out for his Queen, Seoho.

The Queen wore an elegant, emerald green dress that ruffled beautifully from his hips down to his feet. The midsection was a bit tight due to the child he was carrying. Keonhee smiled proudly as he helped his Queen over to speak to their friends.

But they didn't have a chance unfortunately.

The next carriage arrived, a brilliant blue carriage cab sporting the symbol of a fish pulled in behind Castle Verte's carriage. This blue carriage belonged to Castle Bleu. Once it came to a complete stop, the king stepped out and took in a deep breath through his nose, letting out with a happy sigh, "I love coming into the common lands. Being surrounded by water gets tiring."

"Geonhak," King Youngjo calls, "Glad you could make it!"

"Well of course!" Geonhak smiles, "It wouldn't be a party if all of us couldn't get together to celebrate a marriage of our good friend."

"Geonhak," a soft voice calls from the cab of the blue carriage, "Please help me down."

"Absolutely my love," the king comes to aid for his Queen, Dongju. The Queen was carrying a bundle of their newest heir to their own throne, a baby boy who resembled his father so much. They all join together and reminisce their times they have seen and been with one another. Dongju wore a loose blue dress that flowed at the sleeves and had many rhinestones sewed onto the edge of the dress.

The large wooden door opens, and the King of Castle Noir steps out, "My friends!"

"Your majesty," the kings now respectfully and the Queens curtsy.

The King, Minjun, smirks, "Well what are we all waiting for? Come in, come! The chefs were just finishing dinner for tonight."

"Thank you once more for the invite," Geonhak shakes Minjun's hand, "It was a huge honor to witness your marriage to Queen Eloise."

"And it was a beautiful ceremony and after party," Queen Hwanwoong spoke up, taking the arm of his King as they walk inside the castle.

"Thank you all," Minjun smiles, "But it wouldn't be a proper dinner without all of my friends coming to celebrate some more."

It was quiet amongst the group as they walked down the marble hall of Castle Noir, taking in the many black and gold flags with the symbol of the black cobra on them. Castle Noir was very well known for their peaceful antics and treaties. They make peace with everyone, even branching out to other countries in hopes to one day bring peace to the whole world.

Minjun marrying a princess from France, was one major step for his family blood line and for the sake of the kingdom.

As they step into the common area, the guards stood by windows and doors ready at will with their swords in their sheaths and lances by their sides. As they walk further in the room, they notice Minjun's advisor, Hansol, talking to the newest Queen and showing her around the common area.

Hansol smiles and bows politely to the royal families that have entered the room, "Your majesties."

"Hansol, leave us," Minjun dismisses the advisor with a small wave of his hand and holds the said hand out for his new Queen.

"Yes, your Grace," the advisor bows to everyone before taking his leave.

Minjun kisses the hand of his Queen, leading her over to the group that entered the room, "My love, these are my friends from the neighboring kingdoms. They have come to celebrate our wedding and your final move in to Castle Noir."

The Queen doesn't say a word as she smiles a very timid smile, then turning to curtsy to the other rulers. The king hisses, "I seemed to have forgotten just for a moment that my wife doesn't speak Korean, she only speaks French." A guard entered the room and Minjun looks up at him before looking back at the others, "Excuse me, but I need to take care of something before we eat."

"Well it's a good thing I can speak French," Youngjo chuckles, looking to Hwanwoong as Minjun left the room, "otherwise this would've been awkward."

Youngjo looks to the Queen, bowing politely before he began to speak, "Bonjour vontre majesté."

"Tu dois partir, s'il te plait," her voice shook as she looked around at the guards nervously, "ils ne sommes pas que tu pense." Her voice shook slightly as she looks every single one of them in the eyes.

She was petrified.

Youngjo frowns, "De quoi tu parles?"

"Le roi. Il est très malveillant, et il veux te tuer ce sour quand nous mangeons. Tu dois courir!"

"C-Courir?" Youngjo's eyes widen, his heart began racing at an abnormal pace as he grabbed his queen's hand tightly.

"Oui, courir!" She exclaims, fearful for her life, she picks the bottom of her dress up in handfuls and turns to flee the room.

However, she didn't get far.

A nearby guard shot an arrow, lodging it right into her throat. She chokes on her own blood as she falls to her knees, the crimson liquid sprays out of her jugular around the arrow. Hwanwoong cries out, covering his mouth in shock at the sudden action. Seoho gags, gripping Keonhee's arm and backed away. Geonhak moves in front of Dongju, guarding their child from whatever arrows make their way.

All of the guards approach the kings and queens, arrows drawn back and ready to release to kill them all off. A pair of hands clapping together slowly brought their attention to the door, where they seen the king smirking and walking towards his now dead wife. He sighs, looking down at her body drowning in her own blood pooling over the white tiled floor, "What a shame. Truly, she never got to see me over power her kingdom and slaughter her people. Too bad she never got to see her father's head plastered on my wall either."

"What the hell is this Minjun!?" Geonhak growls, pressing himself closer to Dongju while their son starts to cry.

Minjun hums, "She ruined all of the fun. It was supposed to be a surprise. First, we kill each of you one by one including that pesky child suckling on his mother's breast," he sneered, "And then we over power all of your kingdoms. So that way, Castle Noir over rules all and I will be the one true King."

"You monster," Hwanwoong hisses, "You diabolical beast!!"

Minjun places a hand over his heart, feigning a hurt look, "Why Hwanwoong, I'm offended. All of us were friends for as long as we can remember and you call me a beast?"

"A true friend wouldn't slaughter his friends to take over their kingdoms!" Keonhee snaps, guarding a heavily pregnant Seoho with his whole body, "Especially his own wife!"

Minjun snorts, "Please, the little whore was always sneaking off to sleep with the servants and guards. It really tested their abilities for temptation, if they refused I knew I could trust them. If they accepted her body and had their way with her, they signed their death away with my hand."

"Slaughtering all of us by surprise instead of declaring war and fighting for power over our kingdoms is childish and cowardly!" Youngjo snaps, holding his head up high, "Your father would be ashamed of the king you have become."

"My father would have never been pleased with me being a king in the first place!!" Minjun screeched, "He wanted my brother to take the throne. The youngest son, instead of his oldest. The day he told me my brother was taking the crown and the throne was the day I knew I meant nothing to him," Minjun paces back and forth between all six of them, his lip curled in a permanent snarl, "I did what I had to do. I smothered my brother with his own pillow while he slept. Made it seem like he died in his sleep."

"You monster," Seoho whispers, shaking his head, "You are no better than the devil himself."

Minjun chuckles, his face contorted into a frown instantly and he nods to the guard, "For that comment right there Seoho, you will be the first to die."

A guard unsheathes his sword behind Seoho, and before he could pierce his midsection through his back, Keonhee drew out his dagger from his hip. He lodged the dagger in the guard's neck, blood coating his hand and face while the guard choked and fell to his knees.

The guards all drew out their swords, one loaded an arrow in his bow and was ready to send one flying. However, he never released the arrow before Youngjo grabbed his arm, twisting it behind his back. He pulled out the dagger from the guard's hip on the opposite side of the sword, and with a flick of his wrist he slit the guard's throat open.

Seoho, Hwanwoong, and Dongju all huddle together away from the fight. A guard approached them with his sword raised and ready to strike, but little did he know that queen Hwanwoong of Castle Rouge is trained to fight. He too had a dagger hidden in his garter band on his thigh, and easily takes it off. The guard swung his sword, Hwanwoong dodges the attack easily, then stabs the guard in the back of his knee with the dagger. The guard cries out, falling to his knees, but the cries were shortened when Hwanwoong slit his throat.

Swords clank together, their loud clashes and battle cries fill the throne room followed by the smell and sight of blood. Hwanwoong takes one of the swords, turning to face his husband and the other two kings fighting, "Geonhak!" He cries out, throwing the sword to the king of Castle Bleu, as he was only fighting with his bare hands.

"Hwanwoong! Get them out of here!" Keonhee jerks his head to the door as he slices a guard's head clean off. It slides on the floor towards the feet of Minjun's throne, the king of Castle Noir watches as the fight rings out through his throne room.

Hwanwoong nods, bracing himself with his dagger as he takes Seoho's hand, "Come on, we need to get out of here."

Geonhak grunts as he shoves the sword through a guard's midsection, using his body to jerk the sword to the left and slicing clean through the guard's body. He threw a sword to Keonhee, the King catches it with ease and drops his smaller blade. The three kings killed the guards off one by one, but it seemed as if they killed one two more would take their place.

Minjun hummed, exiting the throne room to follow where the queens ran off to out of the room.

Hwanwoong pants as he pulls the other two queens with him, "We need to hurry and get help."

A couple of guards ran towards them, Hwanwoong throws a dagger straight into one's eye while the other dagger he had kept secretly in his boot was thrown into the middle of the guard's forehead through the helmet. He removed both with ease, wiping the blood on the sleeves of his dress and darkening the material. He hands one to Seoho, "Here, do you know how to fight?"

"Y-Yes somewhat-"

"Good, don't be afraid to draw blood," Hwanwoong nods once, grabbing Seoho's hand while Seoho grabs Dongju's free hand that wasn't holding his screaming son, "Whatever happens, don't let go of my hand understand? Both of you hang on tight."

The fight in the throne room continued as more guards enter the room, the three were easily outnumbered but pressed their backs together to fight at all angles. They were becoming more and more exhausted...

"We need to get out of here!" Youngjo shouts, slicing a guard's arm off as he swung the sword and took off another's head.

Keonhee rips his sword out of a guard's chest, looking around to see Minjun is no where to be seen, "He went after the queens!"

With only five guards remaining, Geonhak pushes Keonhee towards the door, "Go! Protect them!"

"I'm not leaving you both!"

"GO!" Both shout at the top of their lungs, not before their swords clash against a guard's sword as they continued to fight.

Keonhee sliced through another guard's body before racing towards the door. He ran down the hall, down a flight of stairs and towards the large door that was wide open. Two guards that were guarding the door seen him covered in blood of their knightsmen, and charged the king. He stabbed one in the neck with his sword, dodging the attack from the other as the guard swung it towards him.

Keonhee kicked the side of his knee as hard as he could, hearing a sickening crunch at the sound of his knee snapping and the scream of the guard. Removing the sword from the other guard's body, he slices the leg of the falling guard off along with his head. Blood sprayed his face and body from the decapitated guard, Keonhee pants for air before running again.

Just when he seen Seoho's green dress around a corner, he felt relief flood through him.

Until he stepped around to see Minjun cornering them with a sword of his own.

Keonhee froze, "Minjun!"

The king of castle Noir smirks, turning to face Keonhee, "Ah, Keonhee. So glad you could join us. I was just about to kill your queen and your child."

"Let them go," Keonhee begs, "Please, don't hurt them."

Seoho sobs, holding his large baby belly in fear as he looked at his lover with tearful eyes. Hwanwoong and Dongju were trapped by two other guards, Dongju too was extremely upset as he held onto his son tightly.

"You know I can't do that," Minjun sighs boredly, "Surely you remember what I said in the common area."

"Minjun please," Keonhee begs, dropping his sword, "Please let them go. They're innocent. Dongju and his son, Seoho and our unborn child, Hwanwoong! All of them!"

"My brother was only twelve when I was eighteen Keonhee," Minjun rolled his eyes, "Innocence and children won't really change my mind. I'm truly sorry, but they must die as well."

He turns to the guards, but before he could nod his head to affirm the kills, an arrow was shot through his skull.

Killing the king of Castle Noir instantly.

The guards froze, but before they can draw back their swords for the final blow more arrows shoot through their body and kill them off as well. Seoho removes himself from the guard and runs to Keonhee, sobbing loudly while burying his face in the taller's neck. Keonhee hugs his queen, shushing him and placed a hand on the round belly holding their child.

Geonhak and Youngjo run forward, bringing their queens in their arms as well before Youngjo looks to all of them, "We need to leave. Now."

"They slaughtered our horsemen and set ablaze our carriages," Geonhak commented, showering Dongju's and their son's small head in kisses.

"Minjun must have carriages and horses. But we need to leave before more guards show up."

The six sneak their way out of the castle and to the barn holding the horses, the kings easily help their queens on them before climbing on themselves. Keonhee and Seoho took off first, then Dongju and Geonhak, and finally Hwanwoong and Youngjo. As they all made their way over the large hill away from the castle, they could see the whole view of the palace where they nearly met their deaths.

Castle Noir is sadly no more.

"Hello your majesty."

"Please, you must leave. They are not who they seem to be."

"Whatever do you mean?"

"The king. He is very malicious, and he plans to slaughter you all tonight while we feast. You need to leave! Run!"

"Run?"

"Yes, RUN!"
