Setting: Seoul

(In this story, you are the music producer/Manager for Twice. Also, I have nothing against Mina. I love her very much, but she was the first one who I thought of when this idea came)

(Note this story was written pretty long ago. I well aware of her condition and I respect her very much. Like I said a few of these stories are being transferred. So they're almost a year old. I'll be going through and re-editing a lot)

Present Time
Beep... Beep... Beep. A constant sound was made from the heart monitor that stood aside the bed. Echos were made throughout the room as it was silent. A young man laid on the bed, medical equipment attached to his body. From stitches to the oxygen mask.

He had recently been involved with an accident. Luckily no other person had been involved, only just being drifted off the road by his own causing. And to his favor, he was found and rescued in time.

Now it wouldn't have been anything special, just another accident. It would've just fine if it was anyone else, but it wasn't. News spread fast, and can not be stopped. Word of his accident spread like wildfire. And of course the world would care, after all, being the one who composes all those amazing songs, people would give a damn if he was hurt.

(Y/n) (L/n), famed music producer, being known as the producer for the current and on growing famous group Twice. Being able to compose music at such a young age was extraordinary, being hired and set as their manager and producer.

Prayers, letters, and videos were sent. This of course brought an enormous attention to Twice. As if they didn't already have that type of attention.

Although it wouldn't look good for the company. Being very well known for being featured in live-streams or interviews, (Y/n) isn't the sort of guy who would get careless. Obviously he wouldn't drink, unless it was for an special occasion, but even then he wouldn't drive. He wasn't with Twice, so there had to be a personal problem. It didn't mean Twice couldn't have been involved. Theories were spiraling out of control, suspicion rose against Twice. They weren't the scapegoat, but the source of it.

But the truth is only known between a few. And that truth is not meant to be revealed. Lives and careers were on the line. Knowing (Y/n), he wouldn't sacrifice any of that.

Speaking of (Y/n)... he is currently in a coma. Unsure when he would wake, but only the sense of his health. He was going to be just fine, but until he wakes nothing will be the same.

The girls visit him everyday, staying until the very last minute. Each one of them built a bond with him, one they won't make with anyone else. While the public only knew of his name and looks, and his relationships with the girls. The only people he had ever opened himself up to was the girls who were family to him.

Jihyo was the strong and beautiful leader. Looking out for the other members and never letting anything hurt them. People saw them as the parents of the group. And hence their ship was created. The father and mother of Twice. (Y/n) did like trains after all...

Nayeon was like an loud and annoying little sister. Outstanding at times but also able to embarrass anyone at any moment. She is able to show someone what it really means to love yourself.

Tzuyu was the evil little sister who he wouldn't hesitate to playfully hit. Smart, too smart for him to outplay. Although he gets his points in. Having once faking an injury and bringing her to tears.

Jeongyeon was someone who he could be able to talk with "normally." Usually around girls he would be nervous or more gentle with in terms of talking, but she was just different, in the best ways. Being like Jihyo, she was one that looked out for others, more than herself.

Dahyun was the one who could really embarrass people. Her moments of laughter that would just force one to laugh alongside her. Relying on others but also being amazing in her own ways. Besides, he never once beat her at spotting a camera first.

Chaeyoung was someone he was also close to. Being able to speak with her without having to be nervous was nice when times became harsh. Being known as the underrated one in Twice, he made sure to spend extra time with her. She was every bit as special as the others.

Momo, the food maniac. Having to cook everyday for her, and the others of course. But if he was there, she would refuse to eat anything other than his cooking, if that was available. There has been many times she forced him to practice dancing with her, no matter how much he refused, in the end she wins.

Sana, the one who he was careful around. His purity would disappear if he took his eyes off of her for just one second. Aside from the seduction and teases, she was a clumsy girl who needed to be saved many times. But, no Sana no life.

Mina, the adorable penguin. The first moment he met her he could barely hear her voice. But something about her stood out. While the others were loud and cheerful, Mina was quiet and innocent. She had her moments of which she came out of her shell, but her shyness was what latched itself onto (Y/n)'s heart.

It would be a lie to say he wasn't attracted to any of them. Managing and living with nine beautiful girls, only fools will think twice before realizing that they've fallen for them.

But Mina was the one who he saw more than just a friend or a sister. Sure, he loved the other members just as much, but it wasn't the same feelings he had towards Mina. It was the desire of being the one who she would love, hold, and care for. He wanted to be by her side, even after her career ends. He can't imagine a new life without her, or any of the girls. The world is dark and cruel, why face it alone?

They were the first to hear of his accident, few of them fainting from shock. Tears were dropped that day, as they were rushed to the hospital to see him.

The one who toke the news the hardest was Mina. She... was the cause of all this... she made him leave, resulting in his crash. She blamed herself for everything...

She knew of his feelings, there was no doubt. She knew that he loved her, more than anything in the world. It was obvious from the start. The ways he was always concerned about her safety, the ways he pushed himself for her, and the things he did for her. She loved him too, exactly the same way. She knew that he was always holding back, always thinking of and for her only.

He wasn't going to force himself onto her, expect her to accept his feelings. Of course there was the dating ban as well. But knowing they couldn't be any more than friends, he had little hopes of telling her. But she was the one who gave him that hope. She was the one to confess.

Flashback
"Mina? Are you there?" (Y/n) asked, walking into their practicing room. The lights were on, but no sign of anyone in there. The door closed behind him, before the lights flicked on and off. Eventually shutting off completely. He heard sounds of footsteps running before the lights turned back on.

There she stood in front of him. Her face turning a shade of red, wearing a beautiful dress. She approached him, resting her hands onto his shoulders. A slow song began to play, as she gestured for him to dance, just a small Signal.

"This is what you meant when you said dress nicely?" He asked, letting out a small laugh, as she smiled at him.

"Would you have agreed if I asked you to come dance with me?" She replied, getting him to smile. She had him there. He hated dancing, he was good, but he really didn't like it.

They continued until the song ended, Mina took a few steps back before holding her hands behind her back.

"(Y/n)... I've been wanting to say this for a long time now. There's no way to count my feelings with numbers with the way you make me feel. I speak for all of us when I say that you're someone special, but to me I want to be the only one who's special to you. I love you... and I know I'm being selfish, but I just want you all to myself."

"So, I'm gonna make this simple for you, you've got two choices, yes or yes."

(Kill me please)

"Mina... I'm sorry but I don't feel the same." He said, the hurt face that appeared in front of him was heart aching. He quickly grabbed her hands, seeing the tears build up in her eyes. "I'm sorry, because there's no way that your love for me can compare to my love for you. I love you more than life itself. So I'm going to have to choose yes." He finished before being strangled into a hug.

She cried into his chest while he tried to comfort her and ask for forgiveness. She smacked him a few times for his trick, almost breaking her heart.

A few seconds passed before she reached up and pulled him down into a kiss. It was long and passionate, before the realization of the squeals and clapping behind them snapped them out of their trance.

A few of them recording while the others cheered within each other's arms. Their beautiful moment was being streamed to their fans unknown to them.

Flashback End
A new day had arrived once again. It was a free day for Twice, so Mina took this chance to visit (Y/n) again. She hadn't been able to visit for the past two days. It ached her heart not being able to be at his side. Luckily he hadn't awoken yet, she wants to be there when he wakes. Even if she was the last person who he wanted to see again.

Mina went and checked in before taking the elevator up to his floor. Alone and in silence she thought to herself.

She hurt him... she caused this. She was such an idiot, she hates herself with every bit. (Y/n) was always there... he did everything for her. He devoted his life to her, his heart was her's and she just simply tossed it away like a fool. Now here he was stuck in a dream that he may never awake from, knowing that she did this to him.

Mina exited the elevator and started walking to his room. It was early, not many workers were here so it was very quiet. It'll give her some time to speak to him alone.

Mina came to a stop at his room, taking a deep breath before going in. She quietly shut the door behind her and walked in. There he laid, peacefully, besides all the medical equipment around and on him. His heart monitor beeping every second, mesmerizing her. She took a seat beside him, as the silence sunk in, and the guilt formed again.

Her hands made their way to his, grasping it tightly. How she wished to feel his grip against her's as well. Even if he pulls his hand away the second he sees her, she didn't care. She just wanted to him to be fine, even if it means he must hate her. Whatever she could do to make him happy, just like how he used to do for her. It was her turn to give up everything for him.

Timeskip - Next Day
The day went by within seconds, even though time felt so slow for her. She stayed with him the whole day, wishing and hoping that he would wake. Still no hope, but she wasn't willing to leave just yet. Luckily she was allowed to stay the night, with some inside help. She fell asleep upon his side, resting her head on his arm.

The rest of Twice had planned on visiting as well, since Mina didn't come home they wanted to check on her as well. As much as they wanted to scold her and lecture her, they couldn't do that to someone who they cared for so deeply.

They all walked in, noticing Mina asleep beside (Y/n). This would be how they normally found her if they came to visit. But something was off, maybe it was the young man who was sitting up in the bed. A scream here and there was enough to wake Mina and get the attention of some employees.

Mina was the first to embrace him not considering if he was being hurt or not. The rest quickly followed and had their chance to reunite with their friend. All whilst he sat there with nothing but a smile, still having not spoken a word. Finally someone broke the moment to escape from the hugs and happiness.

"Do you remember what happened (Y/n) Anything before you crashed?" Jihyo asked, the others quieted down to listen.

"(Y/n)... Is that my name?" Shocked and in silence the same exact feeling went into all of them. They didn't want to believe what he was asking.

Mina tugged at his arm making him look at her. "(Y/n)... is something wrong?" Her voice was shaky filled with concern.

"I'm sorry, but who are you?" He asked Mina, continuing to shock the rest of them.

"No this can't be happening, please please, please don't..." Mina cried.

They rest of them were on the verge of tears. But something snatched their attention, (Y/n) started laughing. He grabbed and tightened his hold on Mina's hand.

"I wish I had my phone to do a V-Live right now. You all should see the looks on your faces! Tzuyu are you going to cry again?" He joked, teasing at Tzuyu because of a past incident.

All at the same time the sound of nine hands smacking occurred. His cheek was red while the girls were shouting their insults at him, calling him an idiot.

"Come on! You have to admit I got all of you." He continued, but they weren't amused.

"Nayeon? Not even you? A Moment To Remeber, right? It would've been just like a drama." He joked again.

"So you do remember everything right? You're just playing around right?" Jihyo asked again.

"Yes and no. The last thing I remember was coming back home to bring Minari a gift. Anything after that is just... gone. Probably for the best, I can't imagine getting into an accident, yet... here I am."

"I'm very sorry for worrying all of you. I'm such an idiot driving off and causing all this. How long has it been?"

"It's been almost 3 months? Yes, close to three." Dahyun answered.

"So you don't remember anything at all? When you came home, and when you drove off?" Jeongyeon asked.

"No, why? Did something happen? I wasn't planning on proposing yet so that can't be it." Teasing Mina with his comment at the end.

"No, nothing at all..." Mina quickly answered, the rest of the girls looked at her.

"Well then I'm sure there's nothing to worry about. I'll be fine, just give me a week or two and I'll be back. I promise we'll get that new song out as soon as possible."

Timeskip
Mina talked with her members about her "situation" and how she wanted them to not say anything, like it never happened. None of them agreed, it just wasn't right. Mina had to tell him, it wasn't right lying to him, she doesn't just get to have a second chance. But before they got to lecture her (Y/n) came and interrupted.

He was close to finishing his recovery, being able to walk just fine now. He just had to wait out the days until he could be discharged. It wasn't as bad, since he was no longer bed bound.

The others didn't have to change her mind, not at all. The time she spent with him began to eat away at her. The guilt that struck her whenever he smiled so brightly at her, or was able to make her laugh. She couldn't keep up with it, and worse, what if he find out. The worst scenarios came to her mind, but not the one she would expect to have.

Present Time
Mina came to visit (Y/n) once again. He was already awake by the time she made it to his room. Immediately pulling her into a hug and sharing a kiss. (Y/n) laughed at her embarrassment, having caught her off guard with the kiss.

He was as loving as ever, something that she loved. There was never a dull moment between them.

"How are the others doing?" (Y/n) asked.

"They're doing fine, we're all just waiting for you to come back. Momo's waiting for your cooking as always." Mina answered.

"I heard they were cooking yesterday, the house isn't gone is it?" He joked.

"Don't worry, I was there to watch." She reassured him.

"Well I'm glad my penguin knows how to cook. Almost as good as me." He said, getting a soft smack.

"We can go anytime you want Mina. There's no point in waiting if they're all waiting for us." He said. Today was his last day here, he could finally go back home.

"You want to drive again?" She joked.

"Hey that's kinda low, I'm not ready for another crash yet. Especially having you with me."

"Don't worry, we'll just call Mr. Taxi."

They both went down and did whatever paperwork they had to. They called their ride and were on their way home. But Mina wasn't ready to come home, she wanted just a little more time to talk with him.

"(Y/n)?" She called. His grip tightened as he turned from his side of the car.

"What is it?" He asked.

"Could... we stop somewhere before going home? I wanted to be with you a bit longer."

He only laughed and agreed. They put in a new address and the car changed directions. They came to a stop at a nearby park. There was a lake in the middle, both of them walking on a path around it. Mina was walking quite fast... she wasn't talking to (Y/n), nor was she holding onto him. Something was wrong, (Y/n) noticed.

He took a few quick steps forward and embraced her from behind. She jumped a little before grasping onto his hands.

"You wanna tell me what's wrong?" He asked.

"I'm so easy to read... aren't I?" She laughed.

"Mina..." She took a deep breath, hearing him say her name like that. There was no more point of lying, no more secrets, only the truth.

"(Y/n)... I-I'm sorry. This whole time... I've been lying to your face. Everything you did, I don't deserve it. All the smiles and words of love you give me, I don't have the right to receive that."

"Mina, don't talk like that. There's no other person who I'd be able to love. You're the only one I ever want to be with in life."

She broke apart from the embrace, pushing away. Tears were already on the edges of her eyes.

"You crashed because of me... I caused everything. All because of me. Just a mistake that almost killed you..." He didn't say anything but just stood and listened.

"I-I was seeing someone else... just some guy I met, no one special. Things lead to another and I had already done what I did. When you found out... you didn't yell or get upset at me. Instead you just told me you loved me and left. When the calls came in, I died on the inside. I just couldn't bear to have your final image of me, was me being some ungrateful child who didn't know what it was to be thankful."

The tears were out now. She wasn't holding back anymore, knowing only more would come out once he began to talk. Instead, he pulled her into a hug again. Letting her cry into his chest. She knew he was going to do this. (Y/n) just can't seem to be mad or angry at her. No matter how selfish, annoying, and even after what she did, he can't bring himself to look at her with hate.

"Mina... I never lost my memories." He spoke. Her eyes widening at the realization of his statement.

"I remember everything that happened, up to the crash... but, you of all people would know that I don't care what happens because of mistakes. I could care less if you cheated on me. All I needed you to understand was that I loved you. Even now, even if you've been lying, trying to take another chance with me, I've been happy like I always have been. Being able to hear that you loved me or having you cling onto my side was something I loved. It just shows how much you really did love me."

"But how much more can I take though? I'm only human... I can't do everything . What do you plan on doing now that we've both found each other's lies? As much as I would have liked to forgotten those painful memories, I can't."

"I don't know... I know I don't deserve it, and I shouldn't be allowed to ask, but I want to stay with you..." She mumbled.

"I've forgiven you long ago Mina, heck I never even held anything against you in the first place. If anything... it was my fault." She was confused with his final line.

"I was never meant to be your lover, someone who you would care about. Honestly, I didn't believe it when you confessed. I figured the others talked you into it, or it was some dream. Even after that, I just wasn't all that... I wasn't the perfect boyfriend, nor was I a good manager. I was just some boy who didn't know what it was to be a man."

"There were times I wondered if you regretted being with me. I was always worried if you were happy with me, if I was ever enough. That's why... when you did what you did, I knew I was right... I wasn't enough, I wasn't good enough."

"(Y/n)... please don't say that. I never—" She began to say but he cut her off.

"I just want to be friends from here on... Mina." Her eyes widened and her heart ached at those words. "Let's forget and move on, we can just say things didn't work out. If your fans ask, just say it was me, not you. Actually, I'll be the one to make the announcement. I don't want people to start writing stories on why we broke up."

"N-No... I don't want that. I don't want to lose you, not again. I know I'm greedy but I want you, no one else. Never once did I regret being with you. It was never you fault because of what I did. I was just some spoiled child. You were the most perfect man anyone girl would've wanted. It was never your fault..."

She embraced him, a tight grip around him. She cried harder into his chest. (Y/n) held onto her as well, but was his answer really going to change? Maybe it will, maybe it won't.

"You say that... but can you prove it? You've been by my side ever since I woke up, but that was merely out of pity and guilt. Even if you say that you love me, can you really show me what you mean by that?"

She reached her hand down, pulling out something from her pocket. Two necklaces that she had bought for them. Each one had an image of the other, (Y/n) was in her's and she was in (Y/n)'s. This was the first gift she bought for them. The only difference now was the scratches and crack on his necklace. It was damaged in the crash.

She had something else too. She pulled it out and showed it to him. A pair of rings. His eyes widened at the sight of her holding these. He never proposed, so there was no way she would have these. The last time he had it, he gave it to Jihyo, before driving off. He should've expected her to hand it to Mina.

"I didn't know when you were going to ask, but when you did, my answer would've been yes. If I hadn't done what I did, maybe you would've asked by now... if I wasn't such a fool."

"Just a fool, you say. I think I'm crazy. I don't know what it is, but I can't bring myself to hate you Mina. You cheated on me, lied to me, and nearly killed me. But I can't hate you... all I can do is watch and continue to fall in love with you more." He rested his hand on her shoulder, while the other cupped her cheek.

"You keeping the rings meant you cared. I figured you would've just tossed them away. But even then, you held onto your necklace, still bearing to look at that image of me. I'm sorry I ruined mine..." He took his necklace and put it on, and she did the same. "All right... you win. I want to try again. This time, no more lies. So please don't leave me." She quickly embraced him.

"Now then I guess there's really only one thing to do." He took the rings from her hand, bending down onto one knee. He grabbed her hand, as they stared into each other's eyes.

"Mina Myoui, we both have wounded and healed each other for a while now. I've dreamt of this ever since I saw you. I love you more than anything in this world, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you... but I don't want to ask for your hand yet, yet. I want to take some time, so that we can get over what's happened." He leaves one ring in her hand, reviving a confused look in return.

"Wear it if you'd like, but I don't want to hold onto both. Who knows what's going to happen from here on... but I hope that you will still be with me."

"Thank you... (Y/n). For everything, for always being by my side. For taking care of me, watching me, and loving me. I'm sorry for everything I've done. And my answer will always be yes... just like yours. I will wait, no matter how long you take. I love you too."

Timeskip
The both of them made their way home, being greeted with a surprise party. The others had prepared everything for them. The rest of their day was spent eating and celebrating together. Karaoke and dancing, talking and laughing they all did.

Amidst this, the incident which had happened hours ago came out to everyone. Chae and Jeongyeon had pried it out of him, after everyone witnessed the ring on Mina's finger. The truth of his memories and what they said to one another. A few slaps here and there and everything was fine. Mina and (Y/n) were back together, and all was on it's way to be forgiven.

Mistakes are always made, that's how we learn. But not everyone can forgive and forget. It isn't easy, having your trust tossed away. But being alone is worse than taking the risk of loving another. Everyone makes mistakes...

Again like I stated up above, this is an old story of mine. This was before Mina's situation. I miss her very much as well. But she's as beautiful as ever. I can't wait to see her in the new song.
