Miyu Takeuchi

Miyu held so much potential when she was on P48, it's a shame she didn't debut with IZ*ONE. Considering all the sketchy things that did happen with the shows, I wonder/hope that I'm right about P48 also being rigged. It just upsets me that those who deserve to win were robbed.

Miyu really stood out to me after the performance of "The Truth Untold" and just those four themselves had so much talent and emotion within their singing. At least she released her own cover so we have that to listen to.

Your Untold Truth
A silent night, the sounds of the city buzzed in the distance. The water below the bridge drifted by as the cold wind blew strongly. Cars occasionally drove past as their sounds also echoed into the night. On the bridge was a woman, standing atop the railing on the edge. Her heavy breaths turned to smoke as it evaporated away. She stood there shaking as she recalled her entire life, all the beautiful moments and to all the painful memories. She closed her eyes, sealing her decision as she was about to let go of everything. Suddenly she pulled back, hesitating and signs of fear escaping for her lips.

"It's a long drop, waters probably freezing. It'll be a cold and slow way to go." A voice called out to her. She turned towards the caller and met a young man. Unlike her, he was dressed for this weather, wrapped up in a coat and drinking a cup of coffee. Judging from his age, he was probably still in high school. Young and beautiful, oblivious to the reality of the world.

"Don't try to stop me. If you come any closer I'll jump." She said.

He put his hands up showing his harmless acts. "Talk with me, people say I'm a good talker. Let me help you." He said, leaning against the railing.

"I don't need your help, just leave. Leave me alone so I can..." She started saying but stopped herself mid sentence.

"What, and kill yourself? Why would you want to do that?" He asked.

"Go away, you don't know anything. I just want to die." She told him.

"Mmm, I don't think I will. I'm going to stop you from jumping. And if you jump, then I'll jump too. If you sink, then I'll sink down as well. I'll pull you to shore, I'll make sure you live." He claimed.

His words affected her as if she was moved by it. What kind of person would go that far just to help some stranger on the street. She was so stunned she didn't notice him getting closer and closer to her, however he stopped right next to her. He was within grabbing distance yet he didn't pull her down. Instead he hopped onto the railing as well, taking a seat beside her.

"Go ahead then, jump and I'll be right behind you." He said, telling her once more.

"Why are you doing this? You don't even know me, why do you even care?" She asked him.

"I care for the living, I care for those in danger. I want to help people, and I'm doing that right now. I want to help you, I'll do whatever it takes to stop you from killing yourself." He answered.

"Leave..." She asked him again, only for him to refuse again. "No." He said, as his eyes averted from her face.

"If you want me to leave, then you'll have to push me off this bridge. I'll leave you alone if you can do that." He told her, as he took a sip of his now not so warm coffee. For a good while, he'd even forgotten he still had it.

"I'm not going to kill you..." She said to him.

He let out a small laugh as she turned to him. Her heart melted at the sight of his pure smile, the innocence was overflowing. "I can swim, probably too cold for a good swim but I can live through that." He said. The sound of his ringtone ringing startled both of them as he quickly answered his phone.

"Eomma. Yes, I'll be home soon. No, I already ate. Don't stay up for me, I'm on my way home already. I'll see you soon." It turned a little awkward for her to listen to his conversation between him and his mother. The two had a good relationship at least, it warmed her heart a little. He ended the call before putting away his phone.

He hopped back over the railing and landing onto the bridge again. He reached outwards to her and offered his hand, asking her to take it. "Please... you don't need to do this. Just take my hand, and it'll all be over." She looked to him, then down to the river and back to him again.

Her hand reached towards him almost touching his as she lost her footing. She fell, forward and into his arms as he caught her before she hit the ground. Both of them exhaled a breath of relief as she held onto him tightly. "I just want to die... I wanna die." She cries out, breaking down into his arms. It took a few seconds for her to calm down, once she did he took her by the hand and led her over to a bench.

They sat there in silence as the winds grew colder. She started to shiver more, succumbing to the weather. He on the other hand was doing just fine. He pulled off his coat before wrapping it around her. "So... why are you doing this? Why do you want to kill yourself?" He asked her.

"You don't need to know, you wouldn't care—" She stopped herself, she knew she was wrong. Her eyes went up and met his gaze.

"My mom... passed away recently. My dad left us when I was young so it was always just the two of us. Now I'm all alone. I don't have other relatives here, I have no one. No family, no friends, no one cares about me. Soon I won't even have a home to return to. I hate school, I hate everyone there. I hate my life, my whole life has been nothing but a tragedy." She confessed.

"Do you want my help?" Confusion strung across her face.

"What...? Help how? Why would you even help me?"

"You said you need a place to stay? Come live with me for the time being. You don't have any friends, I'll be your friend. I want to show you that your life isn't all just full of tragedies. I'll be the miracle."

"Why me...?" She mumbled to him as he was still able to sound it out.

"Fate? Destiny? Whatever it is, I felt the need to help you. It was clawing at my neck when I tried to ignore you on the bridge. I couldn't breathe until I managed to talk to you. I'm glad I did, I'm happy that I could help you." He answered her.

He's done much more than just that. For the first time in a very long time, she felt safe. She felt like this was someone who was genuine towards her. It was still too soon to trust him completely but he'd already given so much of himself. He's offered his home, his presence, and maybe more.

"What's your name?" She asked.

"Kwon (Y/n)." He answered.

"Miyu Takeuchi." She followed up and stated her own name.

"Well Miyu, it's getting colder. I'd like to go home now so..." He stood up before offering his hand again. Still hesitant but Miyu took his hand, holding it tightly as they both began to walk off.

"How old are you? What school do you attend?" Miyu asked him all these general questions in order to get to know him better. Turns out, they're the same age 17 and going on.

These sort of questions lasted them the entire walk to his house. (Y/n) unlocked the door as he ushered Miyu in first as he locked the door after. They walked into the house before coming into the living room. Miyu startled a bit as she noticed the person sitting in the room. (Y/n) wasn't quite sure how to explain the whole situation yet, but hopefully his mother would understand.

"Eomma, this is Miyu. She's a classmate from school." (Y/n) started saying.

Her eyes didn't move off of Miyu for a second, it started to get nerve racking. (Y/n) stepped up before speaking, "Miyu, my room is downstairs. Could you give us some room to talk." Miyu did as he asked and walked away as (Y/n) sighed before taking a seat in front of his mother.

"Eomma—" It's funny, people in this world are all scared of different things. The wrath of a mother could be one of the most terrifying things to a child.

"Not again. You can't do this." His mother finally spoke.

"I'm not doing anything, I just happened to come across her and she needed help." (Y/n) tried to explain himself.

"Don't you remember what happened last time?! You helped someone, you gave your heart and everything to that person. Look what happened, she left you the second you helped her to her feet. You were traumatized for months, you even tried to kill yourself. I'm not letting you repeat your mistake. Get rid of her now, I don't want you doing anything with that girl." A wave of flashbacks came flooding back into his mind. Fragments played out as his face turned a shade of discomfort. The love and happiness he had for that time being was something he wanted to erase now. It scared him to think about them again.

"I won't make the same mistake. I swear, she just needs somewhere to stay for now. I won't get attached, I won't fall in love with her." (Y/n) begged his mother.

"And if you do? What'll happen then?! (Y/n), you're my son, I know you better than anyone else in this world. She already has her claws dug into you, you have to tear them off of you before it's too late."

(Y/n) fell silent as he kept trying to shake off the thoughts of his past. How selfless could one be before they break? He's already been shattered before and now here he was repeating the same steps he once did.

"I'll leave the house if I do it again. If I break my promise then I'll just leave. That'll be my punishment." (Y/n) said.

(Y/n) walked away and started heading downstairs. He entered his room making Miyu jumping at his sudden entrance. She was sitting in his chair by the desk. (Y/n) walked over and tidied up his bed as he removed some of his belongings. "You can sleep there tonight. The guest room hasn't been prepared in a while so I'll deal with it tomorrow. Get some rest, we still have school tomorrow." (Y/n) said as he began to walk out.

"Wait, what about you? This is your room, you should sleep on your bed. I can sleep somewhere else." Miyu complained.

"I'll be fine, just get some rest. We'll stop by your house first tomorrow so we need to get up early."

"We could share your bed, it's big enough for the both of us." Miyu kept trying but he refused once more.

"It's not so good to share a bed with someone you've only just met. I'm flattered by your trust, but let's keep our boundaries." (Y/n) said, walking out of the room.

Next Day
Miyu's eyes opened at the sound of something dropping onto the floor. She sat up immediately and searched for the source of the sound only to spot (Y/n) crouched over and picking up his phone. He stood up immediately before turning to her, greeting her a good morning right away. "What time is it?" Miyu asked, still rubbing her eyes.

"It's 6 in the morning. Early but we need to get going soon. You should get home first and get your things for school. I can take you, but I still have to get to my school as well."

(Y/n) left her the bathroom so she could at least wash her face before they headed out. When she finished he'd already gone upstairs so she quickly followed after. She caught up with him and saw that he had changed into his uniform as he was currently fitting on his shoes. She followed as he waited for her, quickly grabbing a pair of keys from a hanger near the door. They both stepped outside as the first blast of morning wind hit them. Miyu shuddered from the cold as did (Y/n) before he wrapped his coat over her like he did the previous night. She thanked him before properly putting on his coat as she slumped behind him.

(Y/n) opened the garage before stepping inside and heading over to his bike. Miyu jumped at the sight of him tossing a helmet to her as she barely caught it in time. He slipped his on before turning back to her who was still dazed out from his ride.

"Something wrong? Did you forget something?" (Y/n) began asking.

"No, it's just... I've never been on a motorcycle before. I didn't know you rode one." Miyu told him, sounding nervous which he caught onto.

"We can take a car instead if you want." (Y/n) suggested.

She shook her head not wanting to be asking for too much. Miyu slipped on her helm as (Y/n) slung his bag onto his back before hopping onto the bike. Miyu walked over still unsure how to ride with him. He gestured for her to hop onto the back and she followed as she climbed onto the bike.

"W-What do I hold onto?" She asked.

He grabbed her arms as he placed them around his waist. Without another delay he turned on his bike and they started moving. The garage door shut behind them as they swerved onto the street. He stopped immediately however, as she questioned their sudden stop. "I need your address. I can't read your mind you know?" (Y/n) joked before she answered.

He tapped it into his gps as they took off. Even with his coat on, the wind was as punishing as ever. She felt bad for taking his jacket but was still thankful he willingly gave it to her. Her first time on a motorcycle was quite peaceful as (Y/n) took it slow and there wasn't a whole lot of traffic due to them being out there early.

1 Hour Later
They arrived at Miyu's house going inside and allowing Miyu to ready up for school. (Y/n) waited in the living room as Miyu tended to her own needs. It took quite a bit but eventually she was ready and they both started heading out again. It was hard to make small talk while they were driving around so their morning had been quite silent so far. (Y/n) made the decision to stop by a convenience store first and grab a small breakfast for the both of them. It was only 7, meaning they still had time to hang out around before they needed to get to classes.

(Y/n) paid for their food as they sat by the windows before eating. Miyu's eyes never left (Y/n) as they ate and chatted. Something about him just made her uneasy, he was too friendly for someone who's just a stranger to him. Last night she didn't think of much since it was the heat of the moment but now that she thinks about it, there's something more to it. The lengths and favors he did for her were beyond understanding. She didn't want to take them for granted but she just couldn't accept him completely. What if he likes her? Love at first sight? What was his reasoning for choosing her to help, there were plenty of people in need. Is he just looking for a pretty face? She could be his next victim.

"Have you given any thoughts about your future career?" (Y/n) asked her his next question.

"Singing? Making music, I want to make and sing songs in the future." Miyu answered as he smiled at her answer.

"We have similar tastes. I also want to write songs. Maybe not singing though." He said in return.

"Have you written any songs yet?" She asked.

"A few, not that they're going to be published or anything. Those won't be used in my works... ever. It's just a bunch of words scribbled into pages." She noticed the change in his tone immediately. For the first time since she's met him had she noticed a sign of anguish.

"If you don't like singing then... how do you test your songs?" She asked pressing into the path of his emotions.

"I had other people read my lyrics and... I used to have someone who'd sing for me. Now I have my sister, she wants to become a singer as well. So I figured I'd write songs and let her sing them." (Y/n) answered.

"Can you write me a song?" The second those words left her lips she saw him flinch. It was a normal one as she saw him shake his head trying to recover from whatever it was that'd just shaken him.

"Can you write me a song?" These words suddenly rang through his mind. Deja vu it is, why did they both have to say the same exact lines. (Y/n) snapped out of it as he looked back to Miyu who was looking concerned.

"Are you okay?" Miyu asked him.

He shrugged it off and tried to get passed it as he agreed to her question before that. "No promises but I'll see what I can put together." The two finished up their food before heading out again. (Y/n) drove them to her school. They were some of the first to arrive as she handed him back the helmet. It was still awkward between the two of them as neither of them really knew where to go from here.

Miyu was about to walk off until (Y/n) grabbed her arm. She turned around as he lifted up his helm so he could speak properly. "Give me your number. I need a way to contact you." (Y/n) told her.

"I don't have a phone..." Miyu said to him.

"I'll be back here at 3:00. Look for me, I'll take you back home later." (Y/n) said as he slipped back on his helm before driving off. Miyu tried to ask him another question but he had already left.

Later that day
(Y/n)'s friends questioned his sudden departure by bailing from a hangout. Usually he would be down to do anything with them but he seemed to have something to do, which wasn't common. He quickly drove off and went to go pick up Miyu like he'd told her earlier that day. One thing on his mind was his promise to his own mother. Not falling in love with Miyu, or at least not this way. Never again, and there didn't seem to be any problems so far... well except for that small incident this morning. It reminded him of... her.

Soon enough (Y/n) arrived at Miyu's school as students were beginning to leave. He parked at the entrance as he waited at the same exact spot that morning. A few students caught him in their eyes as they began to stare and wonder why a student from another school was here. The girls, just like at his school would begin to talk amongst themselves. He ignored them as he leaned up against his bike waiting for Miyu. About 10 minutes passed by before he began to pace around and grew worried that she left without letting him know.

He walked back to his bike as he began to fiddle with the seat, doing nothing yet trying to keep himself distracted. A soft tap on his back turned him around as he faced the person. It was Miyu, but her hair was a mess, nothing like it was this morning. Her face was dirtied up and it looked like there was dried blood near her nose. "What the hell happened? Did somebody do this to you?" (Y/n) asked immediately.

"Let's just go..." She whispered to him. Miyu reaches for her helmet and started putting it on. (Y/n) rummaged through his bag before pulling out a bottle of water. He placed a handkerchief atop the bottle and created a wet pad. He pulled off her helm as he wiped her nose clean and any other spots that was dirty.

"Who did this to you?" He asked once again.

Her eyes avoided his as she softly muttered out an answer to him. "Nobody, I walked into a door." She lies as he caught onto it immediately. He finished up cleaning her face as he noticed the small crowd that had gathered in watching them. "You know any of them?" He asked her. She shook her head as he put her helmet back on.

"You wanna go home? Or do you wanna go to my place?" (Y/n) asked.

"Home. I wanna be alone." She told him. He didn't argue any further as he drove them away from the school having gathered enough attention. It was his identity that he cared for, it was what people would think seeing them together.

Miyu unlocked her house as she went inside swiftly shutting the door on (Y/n). Luckily he stopped it at the last second so she couldn't lock him out. She kept walking as he came in, shutting the door. By the time he'd caught up, Miyu had already locked herself in her room. (Y/n) walked over and knocked on the door

"This isn't part of our deal. I'm here to help you, so let me help. Don't hide and shelter yourself from me." (Y/n) said.

"You can't help me. Just leave me alone." Miyu said.

"Oh yeah? Tell me who did this to you then, I'll make them stop. I'll change your entire life before your eyes, all you have to do is let me." The door swung open as she stood there staring at him. She shoved him back and into the wall.

"Why are you doing this? Why me?! What exactly are you getting out this by of helping me? There has to be something you're after, what do you want?!" She shouted into his face.

"I want you to be happy. That's all, I just want you to live your life and enjoy it. It may have been hard before, but I'm here to make things easier."

It was suffocating, his sincerity and loyalty. Never had she ever met someone so devoted to being a good person. His reasoning for helping was to benefit her in every single way. Was it weird or was it a blessing?

"Help me then, if you're willing to help so much then show me. What can you do for me?" Miyu said.

"Transfer, come to my school. I can't keep you safe if you're not by within my reach. Leave this house, come live with me, I'll take care of your every need. Accept my help, don't push me away and you won't have anything to worry about ever again." (Y/n) vowed to her.

"What do you want in return? There has to be something that you want from me." Miyu asked.

"Mmm, I haven't really given it any thought. I never really wanted anything from you. But now that you're asking, there is one thing you could do for me." He said.

"What is it?" She asked.

"You want to pursue music, I want to make music, be my reference. Sing for me, I'll write you songs and you can use and perform them." (Y/n) answered.

She wasn't expecting that, it was so fitting and selfless for him but it didn't sound entirely terrible. He could've asked for worse, maybe asking her to be his girlfriend or something or even worse than that. Once again, his honesty was just so overwhelming. It was hard to see if he was hiding lies behind his words when he was so confident and convincing.

"So is that a yes? We'll do the paper work ASAP and get you to my school. As for the house, I'll also deal with that. Do you wanna stay here tonight or should we go back to my house?" (Y/n) spoke out, snapping Miyu out of her trance.

"I wanna stay. I spent years making memories in this house, I'm not ready to just leave it behind so suddenly. I need some time to say goodbye to things." Miyu said.

"Do you want me to stay?" This caught her off guard as she didn't have the answer to it. She'd already spent a night with him under the same roof but now he was going to be in her house flipping the situation around.

"Uh, it's up to you. You can stay if you want, but won't your family be worried? Your mom didn't look so happy to see me yesterday. You should probably go home or at least let them know." Miyu said.

"I'll let them know. I wanna stay here with you." Miyu nearly spat out the water she was drinking when she heard what he ended up saying. Her heart nearly erupted from her chest hearing him say those words to her.

He didn't see her that way... did he? No, that couldn't be another reason why he would do all this. He said it himself, he wouldn't do this just to get her to be his. He's not the type of guy to bend over backwards for someone just to get into their pants.

The two spent the evening doing their school work as they asked each other for help and spent time getting to know one another better. Talking, laughing, they both were able to manage to do towards each other. She was starting to slip, it was too easy to give in. She was starting to accept him as her miracle, her savior. It made her a damsel in distress but she didn't care for that, she needed his help now more than ever. There was no one else, and no one who was like him who'd go this far for her.

Night
Miyu stirred awake as she felt the sweat swelling atop of her head. Her room was like a microwave at the moment as she could hardly breathe. She got up and opened a window, only to discover the air was just was dry outside. She came out of her room and went into the bathroom to splash some cold water onto her face and self. (Y/n) suddenly crossed her mind as she was curious to see how he was holding up with this type of heat. She came out and walked into the living room. Miyu had insisted for him to sleep in her mother's room but he refused and knocked out on the couch.

She used her phone's flashlight to help guide her towards (Y/n). Miyu's jaw dropped as soon as she saw (Y/n) sleeping soundly, without his shirt on. His entire chest was exposed to her as she mentally noted everything in sight. Even without his shirt on he was suffering just as badly as she was. Miyu cranked up the air conditioning as she came back to check up on (Y/n).

She sat beside him as she brushed his hair back softly blowing air onto his face. "You really are something aren't you...? I can't be thankful enough for you. You're my miracle." Miyu said aloud.

Her eyes went downwards towards his lips as thoughts crossed her minds. If he was her's... how much would change? If he was already this devoted to her as a friend, what more could he do for her if he was her's and she was his. To be held in his arms and to hear him tell her words of comfort. "Just... what if?" She thought to herself.

"Miho..." The sound of his voice startled her as she jumped back. He just said a girl's name in his sleep, but who was she though? Reality hit her again as she realized, they haven't really gotten to know each other to that personal level. He knew of her past and her current problems yet she didn't know a thing about his. She stood up and walked into her room before falling asleep again.

Timeskip
(Y/n) stayed true to his words about helping Miyu out as they began putting his plan into motion. With his help they were able to sell Miyu's house and transfer her over into his school. Being the son of the chairwoman definitely had its perks as he pulled some strings even though it took to having (Y/n) on his knees. Miyu fully moved in with (Y/n) and his family. In a way, he held the title as her guardian.

Today would be her first day at his school. As usual (Y/n) drove them to school only this time he was expecting a bigger crowd. He and his friends always met up during the morning before classes began. (Y/n) pulled into the parking as they both got off his bike. Both of their ears perked up immediately as they heard (Y/n)'s name being called.

"Hey who's that? Did you both come together?" One of his friends said. Another one of his friends began inspecting Miyu, looking her up and down and admiring her features until (Y/n) flicked her forehead.

"Stop being rude Gyuri." (Y/n) said as he took off his helm and adjusted his bag.

"Who is she (Y/n)?" Another girl asked.

"You all should introduce yourselves first." (Y/n) said.

"Heya I'm Jang Gyuri, sorry for checking you out earlier. You're pretty cute."

"Ignore what that idiot just said. I'm Miyawaki Sakura, (Y/n)'s childhood friend."

"So this is who you've been picking up and dropping off? You do realize you're my only ride to school right? I had take the bus here and you know that sucks." Another said before poking (Y/n)'s sides. Miyu caught onto their friendship right away noticing these two were closer than the others. The girl stopped shortly after and turned to Miyu, "I'm Kwon Eunbi, this idiot's twin."

"Sister?" Miyu let a off a silent sigh of relief as she realized their connection. The bell ringing snapped all of them out of their conversation as they all began walking to class.

"Takeuchi Miyu..." She said her name and that was all.

"So how did you and (Y/n) meet? He doesn't usually talk to other girls, what'd you do to make him give you a ride let alone even talk to you?" Gyuri asked.

"He saved my life... and he's still helping me, even now." The other two girls immediately snapped their necks to (Y/n) before they exploded on him.

"No, not again. I will not let you do this! You and her cannot be together. We almost lost you last time, never again." Gyuri shouted at him getting up in his face.

"Gyuri relax—" Sakura began saying but a slap cut her off. Eunbi's hand had connected with (Y/n)'s face.

"I forbid it, for the both of you. You cannot fall in love with her (Y/n). It hurt us so much when we found out what she did to you. I won't let it happen again." Eunbi said as she stood in between (Y/n) and Miyu.

"Don't worry Eunbi, we're not like that. I'm just helping her out for the meantime. I won't fall in love with Miyu." Miyu's heart hurt from the sound of that as she staggered a little.

"If you're going to choose another girl at least pick Sakura. She's perfect for you, just realize it already." Gyuri told him.

"Yah, stop it. We're not like that Gyuri. I don't even—" Sakura tried to stop her friend.

"Oh please, I've seen you drool over him. Especially when you saw him shirtless for the first time. You two would be perfect for each other." Gyuri added.

"Enough! We're going to be late, get to class now. Come on." He said as he grabbed a hold of Miyu's hand.

Eunbi pulled onto his other arm as his head shot back at her. "I'm warning you (Y/n), don't do this again. Your heart won't be able to handle it." Those three really cared for him, it was the type of relationship Miyu never had with friends.

"I won't." Was all he said as Eunbi let go before they continued to class.

Lunchtime
(Y/n) made his way through the halls before reaching Miyu's class. Unfortunate that they didn't get the same classes but she was still within his reach and that's all that mattered. As he came into her class he noticed the clump in the back, Miyu was getting swarmed by students who were asking her questions and trying to get to know her better. He pushed his way through as he finally came into her sights. Before he could, Miyu grabbed onto his hands and pulled herself towards him. He flinched, as his mind dogged up and a similar scene played out in his head. It was a real deja vu, as he remembered when this had happened.

When his mind cleared he noticed Miyu trying to get his attention. He shook off his thoughts and lead her out of the class as students said things and cheered in sights of seeing them create that scene. (Y/n) brought the both of them to the rooftop as she noticed that the other girls were already here. The two took a seat beside all of them as the five of them dug into the food. It was a mixture from all four of them.

"Who's Miho...?" Miyu suddenly asked as (Y/n) eyes widened at the sound of the name before nearly spitting out his food. He coughed over and over again as the girls eyed her down, quite upset that she said that name.

"Miyu, I'll be nice this time, but please don't ever say that name again. If you ever mention her name again I might have to punch you." Eunbi informed her.

Sakura had to help him calm down as he kept coughing his lungs out. Miyu still didn't understand the purpose of him acting that way just because of a name.

"Could you tell me why? I heard (Y/n) say her name in his sleep so I was curious." Miyu explained, taking off the hate that had been directed towards her.

"You still think about her don't you?" Sakura asked.

(Y/n) shook his head only to hold it in pain, she crossed his mind again. In Miyu's eyes, whoever she was, she must've left quite the impact on him. "Yah, it's okay it's just me. (Y/n) look at me." Sakura said whilst comforting him.

"She was his ex-girlfriend. You remind me of her, a lot. Innocent and a damsel in distress. (Y/n) helped her out, he saved her from the streets, gave her a place to sleep and a roof over her head. Eventually he was so in love that he asked her to be his, it worked between them for a while. But then she left him, she took everything for granted and ran off with some new guy. (Y/n) gave her his entire world and she tossed it away within a second. The amount of time he spent on her can't be given back nor repaid. It lead to him being depressed, it took months for him to recover, it was so long before we could ever see him again. There were so many times when I thought I lost him, he tried to kill himself so many times. So earlier when I told him he couldn't do this again, I really meant it. I forbid either of you from falling in love with the other." His sister spoke out.

"You haven't known him as long as we have Miyu, he isn't stable as you think. (Y/n) is the sweetest person you'll ever meet in your lifetime, but that doesn't mean he isn't fragile. She really broke him, the (Y/n) we knew was long gone by the time we found him again. I'd hate to see him like that ever again. So I'm begging you, please don't fall in love with him." Gyrui asked her.

"You remind him of her, that's why he's doing all of this for you. Now, I'm not against him wanting to help you but you should know your limits." Eunbi also added.

"What if I want to love him?" Eunbi's eyes widened at what Miyu just flat out stated front of everyone.

"What if I give him my life then, my love, my everything, I'll give it all to him. Will you allow me to love him if I do that?" Miyu said.

"Do you love him?" Eunbi asked.

"No, not yet at least." Miyu answered.

"Good, don't. I don't care how much you can give him, it'll never be enough to change my mind. The second I allow you to have him, I feel as if you'll just be the same." Eunbi said.

"So you'll choose his partner for him then? His next girlfriend, who would then become his wife?" Miyu asked.

"I have every right to, I'm his sister." Eunbi's voice was overwhelming with confidence and determination.

"What if you never approve of anyone? Will he be alone for the rest of his life? You can't stay by his side forever." Miyu questioned.

"I have my two candidates already. I'm sure he'll come to fall for one of them and choose her." Gyuri and Sakura looked at each dumbfounded hearing this for the first time.

"What can I do to change your mind?" Miyu asked.

"Nothing, I've decided that these two will be the best for him. They care and love him more than any other person I've ever met." Eunbi said.

"There has to be something, name it and I'll do it." Miyu pestered on. The two girls locked eyes as Miyu's persistence began to work some magic against Eunbi's will.

"Flip your scenario. He's done so much for you already, it's time for you to repay him. Give him all of your attention, stay at his side every second. Provide anything he wants or needs, just as he's done for you. It may take days, weeks, months, or even a whole entire year but make him choose you, if you can get into his heart then I'll allow you to try." Sakura didn't like the sound of Eunbi accepting Miyu's proposal as her eyes narrowed.

"Eunbi, you can't... not again, you promised me." Eunbi gave her an apologetic smile.

"I'm letting her try, besides this is a push for you. If you really want my brother that much then take him before she can. We can be sisters if you and him get together. Stop holding back if you love him that much."

"I told it's not like that... I just don't want to see him get hurt again." Sakura whined, growing ever so tired of their teasing. This was all because she kissed him once, and their relationship never progressed from there.

Lunchtime soon came to an end as they all packed up and left back for their classes. Miyu pondered on what Eunbi had assigned her for the rest of the day as she needed time to think to herself as well. She ended up saying all those things without even second guessing herself. Has she really grown that attached to him? She meant it that she wasn't technically in love with him yet, but she was definitely interested.

Switching the scenario, how could Miyu manage to do that? For her to take lead and try to win his heart, they made it sound like it was impossible. Maybe not for her though, if she reminded (Y/n) of his ex then it'll be easier for him to open up to her then.

Miyu waited as class ended and the students began leaving. She sat on her desk waiting for (Y/n) knowing he was probably going to come and get her. In little to no time (Y/n) showed up, making his way over to Miyu. He gestured for her to follow but instead she answered him with a request. Miyu held her hand out asking for him to take it, and without much resistance (Y/n) grabbed ahold of her hand and walked her out. The two made it to his bike as they strapped on their helms and began to leave.

Timeskip - 4 weeks
It was harder than she thought, getting him to fully open up to her. Even if he told her the resemblances of her and his ex had, it only worked against her. Whenever she did anything that reminded him of her, it only brought hurt to his eyes. It became so frequent as Miyu tried harder to gain his attention. There were things that he definitely opened up to her about and that was their share of interest in music. She found some of his old songs that were stored away and ones that were written for Miho. She sang them for him, enlightening his world once more as this finally began to stir his hidden feelings. Miyu even managed to write a song, her very first official song. Of course it was meant for him.

(Y/n) would always drive the two, now three of them to school. Since they couldn't always leave Eunbi behind, (Y/n) began driving a car. Without having classes together, it was a bit harder to interact with him. Miyu's only chance was during lunch or when they were back home. However making moves wasn't her strongest suite since like any other human, she was embarrassed at points. Not to mention if she were to pull moves in front of the girls who've known him for years, it'd probably make them quite unhappy. She tried her best however, trying to tease his heart. Before they knew it a month had already passed.

It was another day in school for the five of them as they all began to meet for lunch. However (Y/n) and Sakura were late and seeing how (Y/n) wouldn't usually take his time unless something was up. "Where's the other two?" Miyu asked.

"Sakura too, no way... is she actually—" Gyuri started saying.

"Shush, let them be. If she is then let it happen on its own, we don't need to see it." Eunbi said.

Miyu grew silent, as her fears started to grow. Would he really accept her? Their one month together helped her make a decision, she finally decided. She loved him, he meant too much to her. (Y/n) was someone she wanted to be beside for the rest of her life. She jumped a little at the slight touch of Eunbi's hands.

"Hey, no hard feelings right? I appreciate what you've been doing for (Y/n), but remember it's his choice too. If he chooses Sakura, I hope you two can still be good friends. He's definitely fond of you, so don't leave him because of this."

They began eating and conversing until they saw movement by the staircase. The two were together, surprisingly not hand in hand instead (Y/n) was carrying Sakura on his back. Eunbi and Gyuri gawked and squealed out of joy as Miyu silently watched. The two stopped beside them before (Y/n) set Sakura down. Without a word they began digging in whist they others stared at them.

"So? Are you two a thing or not?" Gyuri asked, nudging Sakura.

Miyu shielded her eyes away the second she saw (Y/n)'s eyes looking at her. It was painful enough losing him, she didn't need to see one of his features that she liked. In the corner of her eyes she saw Sakura slowly began to shake her head. She let out a small laugh but no tears came out of her eyes. Whatever (Y/n) did, he handled it quite well enough to not make her cry in front of them.

"You little—, how could you reject her?!" Gyuri said before pulling Sakura into her embrace.

"At least you didn't make her cry a lot. So who is it then, are you choosing Miyu?" His sister asked.

Miyu jumped at Eunbi's sudden question before turning to (Y/n), wanting to see his answer. He shook his head, shooting down Miyu's hopes.

"I want Gyuri." He suddenly said as all four of them screamed in surprise. Gyuri shot up standing before pointing to herself. "M-Me?! Did you just say me?" (Y/n) turned and met her eyes before giving her a small smile.

For the first time Gyuri's cheeks turned a shade of red from (Y/n)'s actions. Embarrassed, Gyuri tucked a strand of hair behind her ear before taking a seat again. She met his eyes again before hiding herself away behind Eunbi.

"I'm just kidding Gyuri. I'm not choosing anyone. I don't want anyone." (Y/n) said.

"Yah! You don't get to do that. You can't just make my heart... skip for you and tell me it was a joke." Gyuri said, catching herself mid sentence.

So there's still a chance...? This whole scene has been an roller coaster of emotions for Miyu. She still had a chance to win his heart. And seeing how he shot down both of Sakura and Gyuri, it meant it had to be her right?

They moved onto something else as they sped through their food to make up their lost time. Miyu's eyes never left (Y/n), as she stakes her claim on him even stronger than before. She wanted to ask him, if he was willing to accept her. Her lyrics came into her mind as she wanted to mutter the words to him.

The bell rung signaling the end of their break as they all packed up and began leaving. The three left first leaving Miyu and (Y/n) behind. This wasn't the best time to do it, but she couldn't wait any longer. Miyu pulled on (Y/n)'s arm, getting his attention before handing him an envelope. Inside he found her song, her lyrics, and her confession.

"I'm your angel?" (Y/n) asked, laughing a little.

"It's fitting, you've helped me so much." Miyu answered.

"It's great, but I would like to hear you sing it. I'll give you an answer once you sing it for me." (Y/n) said, before putting away the letter.

(Y/n) suddenly pulled on her arm and brought her closer. He leaned in closer before whispering to her. "Here's a little hint though." He pressed his lips up against her cheek before backing off.

"Come on, if you keep standing there we'll be late to class." (Y/n) said, finally snapping her out of it. She was still speechless as she walked alongside him. His hint was too much for her to handle. Finally a laugh escaped her lips as she turned to (Y/n) who was smiling back at her.

Her claws were in him now, and she wasn't going to let go. Not unless he breaks them off. They parted ways as Miyu went to her class and he went to his. Miyu sat down in her seat before drifting off into her own paradise. Even in here, she couldn't escape the thoughts of him.

End of Part 1
Yeah, so I ended up liking this story more than I expected. There was too much I wanted to do with it so I need some more time to break it into parts so it doesn't seem too compressed. Another year of school has begun so if I disappear, just know why. I hate online college...

Next: Desperation (Jang Yeeun)
