Minatozaki Sana & Chou Tzuyu
Alright, so this is going to be for both Tzuyu and Sana. Originally it was meant for just Tzuyu, but I have that feeling that a one shot isn't going to be long enough to satisfy me.
Setting: Seoul, South Korea
"I hate you... I don't love you anymore." The words ran through his head, over and over again. Still standing in the same exact spot where she left him in.
Eight other girls watched him, as he slid against he door. Sitting down, holding his head. Tears fell from his eyes, as he wished for this to be all just a bad dream.
Before
(Y/n) was on his way to see his girlfriend. Someone pretty special who meant the entire world to him. Of course she wasn't just any ordinary girl, not that it would've mattered to him. But here she was, a Kpop idol, a pretty famous one at that.
Chou Tzuyu, the visual Queen, beautiful maknae, and pure yet evil child of Twice. She and (Y/n) had been dating for nearly two years now. Yes, the dating ban was still in place but it wasn't much bothersome to JYP. He and (Y/n) were on good terms, due to (Y/n) working under him. He was basically a second hand manager for Twice.
(Y/n) and Tzuyu were odd. Not just because neither knew what love was. They gave things a try, a few dates here and there until Tzuyu dropped the L-bomb on him. Ever since then (Y/n) had become more passionate for her than ever. He changed from being a child into the man he is today. More serious when things needed to get serious, but still enjoyable enough to suffer from her insults.
His popularity quickly rose too, due to him always hosting his V-lives. It became his thing with daily vlogs. It wasn't literally everyday, but very common.
Here he was returning from his home. (Y/n) walked up the steps fondling something in his pants. He pulled it out one last time, a small black box. Flicking it open to see a ring. No, he wasn't planning on proposing. It was more of a... gift.
He stuffed it back into his pocket and knocks on the door. A few seconds later it opens, revealing a goddess standing before him. One of the girls who he was closer with, and wouldn't hesitate to murder him if he did anything bad to Tzuyu.
"Took you long enough. I got them to leave for at least two hours. We should set up everything really quick." Jihyo said.
"Who stayed behind?" (Y/n) asked. His answer arrived seeing Momo and Sana pop out. They had been blowing up the balloons, tying them together for decorating.
Jihyo pulled out a box hidden away in the back. They opened it and began to pull out the rest of the decorations. Hanging up the signs, pictures of (Y/n) and Tzuyu.
Time began to fly by real quick as they knew the rest were going to be back any minute now. While Sana and Momo finished up the final touches with the food and setting up the cake, (Y/n) had pulled aside Jihyo. They went into a different room, making sure to shut the door behind them.
"Alright, you wanna tell me what you plan on doing?" Jihyo asked, leaning back a little, her arms crossed. There was nothing you could hide from this goddess.
"I just wanted your thoughts on this. Probably a bad idea, but I've been waiting to do this for a long time now." (Y/n) said, taking out the small box and handing it to Jihyo. She opened it up quickly covering her mouth to prevent herself from screaming in excitement.
"I was right to sail this ship." She said, handing the box back to him.
"You should know that it's not an engagement ring Jihyo. More of a promise ring, although I would like it to be a engagement, it wouldn't be right for me to just have one ring."
"What do you mean? I'm sad it's not an engagement, but where's the other one?"
"I don't know actually. I lost it some time ago and can't seem to remember."
"Well, either way Tzuyu is going to love it. You should make sure to say it's not an engagement ring."
They both turned to leave, but as (Y/n) approached the door, he noticed the slight crack of the opening. He shook it off as nothing and figured he didn't fully shut it. They came out and helped with the final touches.
Pretty soon they received a text from Mina, saying that the girls were nearly home. A few minutes were all they had. (Y/n) had planned on surprising her by faking an incident. Jihyo would mention that (Y/n) was unable to make it, and that's when he would come out and surprise her. Nothing special, in fact a little too cliche but he was into it.
(Y/n) stepped into Tzuyu's room and waited for his cue. The door bell rang and the girls began to come back inside. Shouts of happy birthday ran out.
"Happy birthday Tzuyu!" Everyone shouted, while confetti was falling to the floor. Tzuyu stood there smiling thanking them, but her eyes were searching for someone else. She double checked for (Y/n) but couldn't find him. Her smile slightly breaking and faded away.
"Tzuyu-Ah... (Y/n) called me earlier. He won't be able to make it. I'm really sorry, he said he would make it up to you."
She nodded before walking away to her room, she entered and threw her things onto the floor and dove onto her bed. She pulled out her phone and began to text (Y/n).
Tzuyu:
Where are you? You were supposed to be here today...
(Y/n):
Sorry, work is pulling up right now. I'm working overtime right now.
Tzuyu:
I hate you...
(Y/n):
Tzuyu...
Tzuyu:
It's my birthday and you're not here. You're the worst.
"Do you really hate me that much?" A voice said, scaring Tzuyu causing her to jump. She turned around quickly, recognizing that voice. She enveloped him in a hug crying a bit into his shoulder.
"You're so mean." She said, playfully hitting him multiple times.
"Come on, I was only playing. You know I'd never miss it. I spent months planning this, there's no way I would let work get in the way."
"So, do you forgive me?" He said, seeing her smile.
"Only if you give me my birthday kisses." She said, lightly tapping her lips.
"How many is it this time, 50?" He joked, before she slapped him.
"Yah! I'm not that old!" (Y/n) just laughed before kissing her. Falling back onto her bed, before they realized, they had already gone from 1 to 10.
(Y/n) rested his head on her chest, as they just laid there for a while, listening to each other breathing. It was so peaceful and calming. His hand reached into his pocket before pulling out the box he had. He slid off of her and sat up, signaling her to sit up.
"I didn't really know what to get you this year, so I figured it's about time I gave this to you." He pulled out the ring, Tzuyu covering her mouth to prevent herself from screaming in excitement. She hugged him immediately.
"Yes! Yes! Of course I'll marry you (Y/n)." Exactly what he feared of happening. You can't gift your partner a ring and expect them to not assume the most common income.
"Tzuyu... I'm not proposing." She slowly pulled back, looking at him confused.
"I'm really sorry, but I'm not ready for hat yet. I'm still scared I'm not enough for you. So... think of this as my promise to you. I'll propose for real next time, I just want to make sure I am able to love you to the fullest. Wear the ring if you'd like, hide it, keep it, or even throw it away. It's your's, it's meant for you. It's one of a kind, it really is." She holds it in her hands, admiring the ring before sliding it onto her ring finger. She quickly connects their lips, wrapping her arms around his neck.
"Thank you for this (Y/n). You really are the sweetest person I've ever met. You'd sacrifice your own happiness for mine. Don't worry, I'll wait as long as you need. You already know my answer."
"Let's go, the others are probably waiting for us." Tzuyu said. The others congratulated her again, this time was better than before. They started off with the cake before moving onto the feast.
The rest of the day went by as they danced, drank, and sung the night away. (Y/n) tried his best to control limiting everyone's alcohol intake but it failed poorly. Luckily he was the only one who was the most sober at the end of everything. One by one he helped into bed, lastly was Tzuyu. He laid her down before heading out into the living room to clean the mess up.
While clearing off the tables he fumbled with a bottle, spilling the contents onto his shirt. Not wanting to sleep while stinking of booze he took off his shirt before finishing his clean up. (Y/n) thought of slipping into bed with Tzuyu, but he didn't make it. He sat down onto the couch before knocking out.
Next Day
A few loud voices were talking. (Y/n) began to open his eyes, seeing most of the girls awake. He sat up a bit, before he knew it he felt a strong sting on his cheek. Tzuyu had slapped him.
"Yah, what was that for?!" (Y/n) said. He was really awake now.
"Was everything you said a lie?!" Tzuyu said.
"Tzuyu what are you talking about? Why would I lie to you?"
"Tzuyu, you're overthinking this. Let him explain." Jihyo said.
"Can someone tell me why she's angry at me?" He asked.
"We found you and Sana asleep together this morning. You were shirtless and Sana had very small amounts of clothing on. So... that would mean."
"Where's Sana? Did she say anything?"
"I hate you." Tzuyu said. She stormed off into her room before shutting the door behind her. He tried calling out to her but it was useless. He still had to prove his innocence to the others.
"Girls, I swear I don't recall anything between Sana and I. If something did happen then obviously it was a mistake. We were all intoxicated."
"It's alright (Y/n). We know you didn't do anything, if anything it should be Sana." The penguin said from the kitchen. He thanked her for taking his side.
"So... what did Sana say?"
"She hasn't said anything yet. She ran into her room when I found you two this morning." Jihyo said.
"You believe me right...?"
"What is that supposed to mean? Did you actually—"
"No! Of course not!" He raised his voice, it isn't common for (Y/n) to yell at the girls.
"Please ask Sana to come out and prove our innocence. Even if she isn't all that innocent."
"Jeongyeon and I have been trying for the past 20 minutes. She isn't letting anyone in." Nayeon said, coming back from the kitchen.
Jihyo just gave him that look. You know, the look where if you don't do the right thing you'll be killed within the next instant. Also knowing Jihyo, she really would kill him.
(Y/n) stood up and went to his room to grab a new shirt before he started heading to Sana's room. He knocked three times before she answered. (Y/n) walked in shutting the door behind him. He saw her quickly shove something under her pillow, hiding it. He didn't bother to question it thinking it was nothing.
"So... Tzuyu hates me now. And I'm sure Jihyo is very close to ripping off my head. Would you like to tell me what happened between us?"
"N-Nothing..."
"They said you were basically naked. That doesn't sound like nothing." He sat down beside her.
"You were drinking the most last night. That's new. You have something you wanna tell me?"
She tried her best to avoid his eyes, continuing to stare down at the bed.
"Sana, I'm sure nothing happened between us. But I need you to tell that to the others, I really don't want God Jihyo to kill me." She laughed at his final comment there.
"You're pretty funny, you should become a chameleon." Sana joked.
"Stealing my jokes now? Come on... that's one of my best ones." He laughed a bit.
"I woke up later last night. I threw up a bit over myself so I came out to clean myself up. I came out to get myself some water and I noticed you on the couch. I brought out a blanket for you and that's when I just sort of passed out."
"Thank you, but couldn't you have explained that to Jihyo and Tzuyu?"
"I-I was embarrassed alright? Getting caught like that, especially with you."
"It made it look like we just had a one night stand. Tzuyu slapped me pretty hard, and she probably won't talk to me for a while."
"I'm really sorry (Y/n)."
"It's alright Sana, would you mind clearing this up though. Tell the others the truth so that we can get over this mess." He turned to leave.
"Actually... can I ask you something (Y/n)? Would you mind, spending some time with me this upcoming weekend?" He quickly agreed before turning back around.
He left the room first, leaving Sana behind. "Why don't you remember...?" She said to herself.
She came out and Sana did her part and explained. Everything cleared up like magic, even if it took some more convincing for Tzuyu. (Y/n) took the rest of the day to clean up the dorm and spend time with Tzuyu.
Timeskip
He came back as fast as possible. It was spreading like wildfire. (Y/n) received message from Mina with a link showing something he couldn't quite understand, yet he understood the consequences. A picture of a younger him and Sana. It was a graduation photo, both of them wearing their uniforms.
This wasn't that much of a problem, but why didn't he remember any of it. He can't remember her... he never met her until Twice.
He unlocked the door and came inside, all eyes went to him. Everyone aside from Sana were in the living room. He was immediately met with a slap from the one he loved the most. She didn't bother to say a thing to him, but moved back into the girls.
"What's your excuse this time?" Jihyo said.
"I still don't know what's going on here, so please let's all just calm down."
"There's no way that photo is fake. We found another one in your room." Nayeon said, holding up the photo. He shook his head.
"I don't remember... my entire life after high school, some people would ask me where "she" was. I never really understood what they meant when they said that. I couldn't recall such a memory."
"That photo isn't mine, I swear. Whatever happened between her and I, isn't within my memories. I don't remember going to school with her nor being with her."
"So what? You forgot her? How does that even happen. You two weren't just friends." Jeongyeon said, as they flipped over another photo.
It was him and Sana again, lips connected, sunset, the perfect photo.
"Tzuyu... do you believe me...? You're the only one I've ever been with. You're the only one I love." (Y/n) said.
Mina pulled out her phone and showed him another picture. Recent, a little too fresh. Sana and (Y/n) were out eating dinner together.
"Sorry (Y/n)... I'm not taking any sides. But I need to fix things." He stood there in silence for a good minute.
"She wanted to spend some time with me, so I agreed. Just a friendly date. But she told me about us... it was hard to understand what she meant."
"She said we grew up together, went to school together, and we used to date. We broke up when she joined Sixteen. I don't know why I can't remember her... but it was painful to watch her cry."
"Tzuyu..." He called.
She didn't answer him... her eyes gave it away. Tzuyu quickly stood up and walked towards her room. (Y/n) followed only to receive another hit from her.
"I hate you! I don't love you anymore..." She shouted straight into his face. She entered her room and shut the door. He tried to stop her but the door slammed onto his fingers, a jolt of pain shot through his body. A small crack was heard, as he pulled his hand away before she could fully close the door.
He slowly leaned up against the door, sliding down against it. He heard her soft crying from the other side. "Those words stuck to him. 'I don't love you anymore,' it sounded like he'd heard it before."
A few drops of his own tears fell down onto his hands. He hadn't even noticed, but his face was drenched with tears.
He held his face, wishing for this day to just be a nightmare, wanting to wake up. But before his nightmare could end, another problem occurred. His phone was ringing, he answered his uninjured hand. A few minutes later he ended the call.
(Y/n) stood up and walked out back into the living room. All the other girls just stared at him, more importantly his hand which was beginning to swell and bleed. He couldn't feel them anymore, his fingers. He couldn't feel anything.
"Who was that...?" Mina asked.
"It's been wonderful... working with all of you. I'm proud to have worked with all of you girls, I'm sorry I couldn't have done more. There's so much more I wanted to do with all of you. I was just informed that I've been fired."
Only a few shocked reactions occurred. He was fired because of complaints from some of the girls... those who turned against him and didn't believe him.
"I'm sorry if I made you all hate me so much. Please take care of Tzuyu for me. Tell her to keep the ring if she wants, throw it away, sell it, break it, whatever. It's her's." He turned around to leave before he heard someone call his name.
"(Y/n)... the reason why you don't remember is because of your crash." Mina said.
"What are you talking about?" He could barely process anything at this point.
"Back in Japan, when you were still in high school. You were involved in a car crash. You fell into a coma for a few months. When you woke up, you had forgotten a few things. One, was your friends, Two was me, we were pretty good friends, I'm still sad that you didn't remember me. And lastly you forgot Sana, you two... were a couple. But you two ended it when we both entered Sixteen."
"Wait you knew this whole time Mina?!" Jihyo yelled.
"I never planned on telling him. Sana wanted to move on, so I promised myself to never tell neither of them."
"I still don't know what you're talking about Mina. I'm just gonna go now, I'll be back to grab my things later."
"Wait! You need to go to a hospital. Your hand isn't looking so hot there." Nayeon said.
"Don't worry about me... I'll be fine."
Timeskip
News of (Y/n) being fired and his relationship with Tzuyu were all over the media. They avoided their daily and weekly V-lives, Tzuyu barely came out of her room nor attended events. (Y/n) moved out, finding a apartment to live in. He kept those photos of him and Sana that the girls had supposedly found in his room.
He cut off all contacts with them, except for Mina. She was playing both sides, hoping to resolve everything. She gave his thoughts into their conversations and reported back to him on updates with Tzuyu.
Sana hasn't been the same either. Knowing that she destroyed the relationship of her dear friends. She wanted to fix this, everything, wishing that she hadn't ever told (Y/n) anything. Yet... she didn't want to fix this. Maybe this was her chance to be with him again...
She could use this chance. Be the one who mends his broken heart. Relight their old flames that had long been extinguished. But to stoop to that level was beyond her, she couldn't do it.
(A month later)
Not much news of (Y/n) after what happened. He isolated himself from everyone he knew. He still worked but lifelessly. The sparkle in his eyes were gone, his flames were extinguished. He was just living hopelessly. He even ended up cutting off ties with Mina, no longer hearing things from the girls.
Tzuyu changed... for the better. She kept going on, living her life refusing to slow down and let herself be consumed by hate and sadness. Happy yet broken, she smiled for the camera but cried for the truth.
Sana was lost... unsure whether she should be happy or sad. She had two choices in front of her. One, be happy, go back to (Y/n) and fix his broken heart. Or two, fix her friend's relationship and watch her be happy with the person she loves. Her angels told her to choose the second one, yet her demons wanted her to choose the first. She fought herself day after day trying to decide.
Present Day
Sana knocked, one more time, and another. She stood outside of Tzuyu's room. She had made up her mind, she was going to fix this, all of this.
The door cracked open as they came face to face for the first time in a very long time. They still hadn't made up, how could they?
"What is it?" Tzuyu said.
"Mind if we talk...?" The door opens letting her in. Tzuyu plops down onto her bed, as Sana takes a seat on a chair. Silence hit them for a bit, just hearing the breaths of one another.
"Tzuyu... I'm sorry. I'm so sorry for everything." Sana spoke.
"What's there to be sorry for. You didn't do anything right? He was the one who hid secrets from me. He secretly loved you while being with me. He lied and spent time with you. He hid his photos of you two. You were the one he loved."
"What?! No! Tzuyu... he didn't— he never did anything. He... never had that type of feeling for me."
"No?! Then explain why he was so affected that you two used to date? Why couldn't he just forget about you?"
"You heard from Mina didn't you? He had an accident and lost his memories. He didn't know who I was until he worked for us. Until I told him, he never knew."
"Then why don't you run to him now then?! It's your chance isn't it?! He's single and available for you to take back. You can have him all to yourself! That's what you've always wanted right?!"
"He loved you so much... more than he ever loved me. How could you even say this about him!" Sana shouted, as they get more aggressive. A fight was bound to break out.
"Even when I told him about us, I could see that he was never going to feel the same again. You were the one who he wanted. Yet you broke his heart... got him fired and made him leave!"
"You're one to talk Sana... who was the one who planted those photos huh? You say I broke his heart, don't you remember what you did to him? Broke his heart and left him behind. Mina told me everything, you were the reason he crashed!" Tzuyu immediately shot back.
"No, no... I didn't. I-I had to... in order to join Sixteen. He crashed because of me...?" Sana fell back down onto the chair, embarrassed and ashamed.
"We both caused him so much pain... so don't go saying that it was just my fault. We're both at fault here. I wanted him to be with you... as much as I loved him. That's why I ended things with him... I wanted you to be happy Sana-unnie." Tzuyu broke down, trying to stop her tears from falling but she just couldn't.
"Tzuyu..." Sana walked froward quickly embracing the younger one. Weeping together, reflecting on their mistakes together.
"What he and I had is over, in his case... it never happened. So don't do this for me, I don't want you to be sad. I had my chance with him and I threw it away. We'll make him come back, and I want the both of you two to love each other, more than before." She said, making Tzuyu laugh at the end.
"I'm sorry for yelling at you." They said to one another.
"When I placed those photos there, I didn't mean for you girls to find it. It was just a gift to show him that I wasn't lying. I really was giving up on him, I promise. But when it happened I couldn't do anything to stop it."
"I saw how sad you were... on my birthday. Seeing him so happy with me. I feel like I always knew Unnie. But I believed in him. I just wanted to you be happy too..." Tzuyu said.
"That reminds me... here." Sana pulled out the ring, the one he had lost. Tzuyu glared down at her's.
"He gave this to me before our breakup. I don't deserve to hold on to it. So I want you to give it back to him so that you both can have one."
"Say... Unnie, do you think he'd mind having both of us?" Tzuyu muttered.
"What?! Of course! That's ridiculous, there's no way he'll want me back. And to have two girls... I mean I would love for him to but that's not important. What's important is that you and him get back together."
"Why don't we try then... if he's willing to. We both have him, that way, you know, everything works out. It'll be a happy ending for all of us." Tzuyu gestured.
"If you wouldn't mind then I'm fine with it I guess... still feels weird to me." Sana said, unsure and nervous.
"Let's go visit him." Tzuyu said.
"Wait, you knew where he was?" Sana asked.
"Mina put a tracker on him. Just in case he got kidnapped by my fans. Since he was dating me after all." They both got ready and took off to go find him, dragging the penguin along with them.
"He should be here." Mina said, double checking her phone. The three quickly ran up to the door.
Knock Knock, followed by the ringing of a bell and a small penguin pounding on the door.
The door swung open and Mina nearly fell over. The three widened their eyes at the sight, before racking him into oblivion.
"(Y/n)!" All three girls shouted.
"Sorry, but.....
Who are all of you?"
"W-What are you talking (Y/n)?! It's us! It's me, Mina! Sana's here and so is Tzuyu!" Their smiles has already turned right upside down and worry creeped all over their faces.
"I'm just kidding." He said before flat out laughing causing them to all give him one slap each. He didn't get a chance to recover before Tzuyu and Sana dragged him into his room while Mina watched.
Disclaimer! I'm going to be redoing this chapter! I'm not really happy how I wrote it now that I look back on it. I'll have two alternate endings and more story into it.
