Kim Dahyun
Almost done, 8/9. I have been thinking a lot how to finish off my twice one shots. I find it harder as I get to the members I don't know as much, not to say I dislike them but I just haven't learnt much about them as I would for my bias's.
These past weeks have not been the same. He could see it as clear as how the sky would be on a normal day. Work piled up for both of them leaving barely anytime for them to be together. They'd come home just to greet each other and have dinner together before going off to bed. Yet they still held each other tightly in bed.
Tonight was different, it rained. He never liked when it rained even if he found it peaceful at times. Nobody likes the rain when it's drenching your clothes as you run home. He stopped under his home finally escaping the rain. He remembered a text from this morning.
Dahyunie
"Don't forget your umbrella!"
Damn... he thought to himself, should've listened to her. She always sent him messages warning him of weather. He shrugged off his memory and entered his house. Taking off his shoes he noticed another pair. Strange, those weren't his shoes. Obviously his wife wouldn't have those kind of shoes.
Thoughts and scenarios played out in his head as he began to toss his things onto the coach in the living room. Things were wrong already, he knew. She wasn't here to greet him, their usual algorithm didn't play out. She was home though, he could see her keys hung up. Her shoes and his sweaters still where they should be.
He called out for her, nothing. He didn't have the energy to search for her so he made his way to their room. His mind started to delude himself as he made his way closer to the room. Walking past the scraps of clothing left on the ground. His ears had tuned out the constant sounds of a person being pleasured. Without even thinking twice he yanked the door open.
To admit that his demons were right was something he never imagined doing. His eyes blurred themselves out from the sight. His ears bled on the inside and his voice vanished. He was speechless.
The sound of the door being yanked open grabbed the attention of the two caught in the act. Fear struck both of them, guilt hit her the hardest. She separated from the other man immediately and tried to run to him. Tripping over her own words and feet she fell onto the ground.
"Please... please don't say anything else. You'd only make it worse, so please just stop. Spare me what's left of my heart."
He slowly walked away, grabbing his coat and walking back outside. Ignoring the constant shout of his name. He kept walking towards someone's house. He didn't care how far or how long it'd take. He just needed to escape... everything.
Next Day
Dahyun woke up from a strong twitch. She jolted awake after a nightmare. She looked around her room revealing that everything was just fine. The pieces of clothing were still down on the ground and the door was wide open. She calmed herself down, as she laid back down. Turning the other way coming face to face with you. Her heart raced a bit. It wasn't a dream, you really came to her last night. Drenched in the rain and your own tears.
She tried to calm him down even offering a few drinks which lead to many. Before she knew it, they were up in her room making love, or at least she was. She heard his phone ring and ding. Going off every second. She quickly silenced it and started checking the messages.
❤️Wifey❤️
(Y/n)... please pick up. I'm sorry...
These messages were followed by the same pattern. Apologies after apologies, causing Dahyun to power off his phone. She tossed it into the piles of clothing on the ground. She tucked herself into his arms and slept again.
FlashbackI
"(Y/n)?! What's wrong— just come inside." Dahyun said pulling him in. She quickly locked the door behind her. She dragged him over to the coach and sitting him down before comforting him.
"You want to tell me what's wrong? You'd never come here looking like that. Please tell me you and Unnie didn't fight." She questioned. She got silence in return.
"(Y/n)..." She said, poking at his cheeks.
"She cheated on me." He finally said.
"S-She what?! (Y/n)... I'm so sorry. Why would she even..." Dahyun only held you tighter.
"I'm sorry (Y/n)... you can stay with me as long as you'd like." She said. "If only I was the one" she thought to herself. He should've married her she told herself.
"You want something to drink?" She asked, getting a simple nod from him.
She walked over to he cabinet and grabbed some Soju grabbing two small glasses for them. She poured the drink to the full. She brought it back and offered it to (Y/n).
"You think it's best to drink this at this time?" He asked.
"Worked for me. Should for you." She said, before taking a sip of her's.
Drink after drink they kept going at it. Eventually the bottle was empty. They weren't drunk, not the slightest. (Y/n) and Dahyun were always able to hold their liquor. Aside from Goddess Jihyo topping even both of them. They had popped in a movie in the meantime. Of course it had to be a romance movie. Nothing else would suit the situation right now.
The movie concluded with the perfect scene, the couple reunited and kissing at the perfect sight. Dahyun smiled at the scene before she felt his hand grasping her's. Her heart started beating faster as she grasped back. They turned face to face before smiling at one another. She leaned against his shoulder and he held her closer.
"Thanks for letting me stay here. I really appreciate it Dahyun." He said softly.
"It should've been me." She said out loud by accident.
"What was that?" She panicked having realized she just said that to him.
"Nothing." She quickly said.
"I agree. It should've been you." He said.
"Then... why? Why didn't you choose me." She quietly asked him.
"I... don't know. I was an idiot that's probably why. I fell for many people, and I never really cared for standards. As long as someone loved me back then I'd be happy. I just didn't think..."
"I mean... if we were together. Would you have cheated on me? I worked myself to death so that I could make enough money. I spent as much time as I could with her. I gave her everything I could. Was I that bad of a husband?"
"(Y/n)... you just described yourself being the perfect husband. You were amazing, all of us could see it when we came over. And no, I would never cheat on you if I were the one. I'd love you until we died together."
"So you love me huh?" He laughed a little.
"I thought it was obvious." She said in return without laughing.
"So... are you going to leave her? I know she's going to be asking for your forgiveness and ask for another chance and how she would never do it again and that she loves you and only you." She said.
"You tell me Dahyun. What do you think I should do?" He asked her.
"Leave her. And stay with me." She said without a second thought.
"And you'd be happy with that? If I just left everything behind and started a new life with you?" He asked.
"Yeah." She simply said.
"I'm sorry but I don't think it's that easy Dahyun. I don't want this to be a heat of the moment and make you regret it later. I don't want to be a mistake in your life." She immediately lunged up at him, connecting their lips for a kiss. She was tired of listening to him doubt himself.
It was passionate, the way she was kissing him. Full of love that he was quite ready to accept yet. Which is probably why he wasn't kissing back. She had realized but she didn't care. Finally she pulled away for air when he pulled her back onto him. He laid down and she got on top.
"You win."
A small text popped up on the tv screen. "Are you still watching?" It asked. (Y/n) shut off the tv as they both made their way up to the room.
Flashback End
(Y/n) finally woke up after the long night. Every detail still fresh on his mind. He enjoyed it just as much as she did, but he didn't feel the best about it. Didn't this make him as worse as "her." Moving on and sleeping with another women so quickly... would this be the right thing to do?
"You're awake." A soft voice said. He looked down and saw her snuggling in between his arms. She leaned up and gave him a small peck. She smiled pulling him even tighter.
"So... where do we go from here (Y/n)? You and her are still technically married, are the papers going to happen? Or am I being used?"
"What I had with her is over... I really can't go back and live how we used to. And no, I told you last night didn't I? You won the last few fragments of my heart. I meant it." He said, hesitantly but powering through he leaned in and kissed her.
"Round 20?" She joked.
"Very funny... you wouldn't last that long." He said.
"Is that a challenge? I don't have any plans for today. I'd be down to wager that." She simply said.
"Fine fine, I wouldn't last that long either." A bit of silence appeared as they just laid in each other's hold.
"So... are we gonna stay like this all day or are we going to actually do something?" Dahyun asked.
"Any ideas in mind?" He asked.
"Well first I'm starving and I haven't had your cooking in ages. And how about a day out? There was something I wanted to pick up at the mall." Dahyun said, as he agreed to them all. He started to get up but she quickly pushed him down. She climbed atop of him and straddled his waist reliving the same position from last night's activities.
"But first, I'd actually like to go one more round."
Timeskip
(Y/n) finally bothered to check his phone. Missed calls and unread messages stocked up. A few calls from even their friends. One contact he noticed right away as the most important.
GodJihyo
(Y/n)! You'd better not kill yourself or else I'll kill you! Call me right now! I swear you better not do anything dumb.
He selected her number and started calling. She picked up almost immediately.
"Yah! You alive?!" She screamed into the phone blowing out his eardrums.
"The whole world can hear you. Yes, I'm alive."
"Where did you go? Everyone's been worried thinking you went and killed yourself."
"I spent the night somewhere else." He said seeing the smirk appear on Dahyun's face as she walked alongside him.
"Where are you right now? I didn't want to choose sides but... she's been with me since last night. She was hoping I could convince you to talk to her." Dahyun's smile dropped hearing what Jihyo just said. She wants (Y/n) to take her back. She called this.
"I'm out at the moment just doing some shopping. And I really don't want to see her right now. Maybe with time... but I don't think I want anything to do with her as of now." He said, as a small smile reappeared on Dahyun's face. She really has a hold on him.
"Turn to the right a little." Jihyo said.
"What?" He quickly replied.
"Oh yeah, that's you over there." She said before the call ended.
"(Y/n)!" He heard the same loud voice scream. He didn't want to look but there she was, Jihyo found him of all places.
"(Y/n)... she's here too." Dahyun said to him, pulling on his arm.
"Yeah... I saw her." He reassured her. Jihyo made their way over stopping in front of the two.
"Dahyun? What are you doing here?" Jihyo asked.
"Shopping with (Y/n). There were a few things I wanted to pick up and he came along with me." She said.
"Wait, so he stayed at your place then?" Dahyun nodded.
(Y/n) adverted his eyes elsewhere while a pair of eyes were looking at him and only him. But those eyes got blurry, covered with tears.
"(Y-Y/n)... I-" She started before he spoke.
"You're sorry, I get it. I heard you last night. What are you doing bothering Jihyo for? You wanted to talk to me, I didn't want to. Here's your chance."
"I'm sorry... I just felt like our marriage was falling apart. We've been so busy working and have had barely anytime to spend together. I needed something... I didn't know what it was. I just needed something to push me. And I ended up... doing what I did."
"I know everything is my fault. I'm not avoiding my mistake (Y/n). But please... can you forgive me? A-And... can we try again...? Please." She said as her voice broke with each line.
"I get that I've been neglecting you. We both have jobs to work and I've been focusing on it the most. Yeah, we barely saw each other. But I never had the thoughts of finding another women and sleeping with her because my wife was busy. I forgive you... but I'm done. I don't think I can try again. I really did love you Nayeon." He confessed.
Dahyun came to your side and hugged you. This shocked Jihyo and Nayeon, both of them realizing that something happened between them.
"So you're with her now?" Nayeon asked.
"You had your shot Unnie. Four years... I gave up long ago but I just didn't want to let this chance disappear. I lost him to you once, I'm not letting him get hurt by anyone else." Dahyun spoke.
"Nayeon, let's go. I think it's best to leave them alone. Come on, let's go get something to eat. Later you two." Jihyo said waving goodbye to both of them and pulled Nayeon away.
"Nayeon... meet me tomorrow. We still have to sign papers and end things officially." He said. With that they parted ways.
Timeskip
The papers went through officially splitting (Y/n) and Nayeon legally. They kept their shares of the marriage. (Y/n) moved in with Dahyun and they continued to progress their relationship together. She led most of the times still mending his heart back together with her love. They were still in their honeymoon phase, sharing many nights having fun in bed. Constant dates and lovey-dovey times.
Everyday was a bliss, coming home into her arms. It was like living a deja vu, every night played out the same yet it was still new.
They made each other better. Dahyun was able to give him the love she held in from the first time she met him till now. (Y/n) was behind, he couldn't give the equivalent of feelings back. So he went out of his ways to make it back to her. Gifts, compliments, simple lovely interactions. They made each other feel special.
Yeah, this story is shorter than usual. I had to a different idea while writing this but it would take me ages to write and make sense of it. But I pulled this one off. It's been a while since I've written this fast. Short but sweet I like to think of it.
If you're new to my stories please tell me your thoughts. I really enjoy hearing feedback about my stories.
Stream Feel Special! It's amazing, but I feel the true treasure are the other tracks. Majority of them were written by twice themselves. Get Loud has to be my favorite so far.
I love her looks this era. Her rap was pretty good, although I wished she would've just sung instead. The rap kinda felt out of place for the song for me. Not to mention that I didn't really like the line distribution. Felt like it could've been done better.
