Hirai Momo
For those that know Twice, their personalities might be off or not everyone will get the same amount of lines or time, since this is a onshot only.
I really miss you... I miss the days when we used to be together. Having you by my side. Hearing your beautiful voice singing your heart out. The way your body rolled, your curves and perfect figure. No one could dance like you...
I'm happy for you... I'm happy that you're succeeding in your career. You've become one of the most known groups in the world. I'm happy your dreams have come true, just as you used to tell me, every single day. I'm happy that you've moved on...
I want to see you again. To catch up on the time we've lost. I want to hold you once again, the way I used to. I wish you were here...
(Y/n) (L/n), a new successful music producer in Japan. He grew up in Kyoto, Japan. A lost and lonely boy who was saved by a beautiful angel. Spending his days making sure she was happy, having fallen in love with her. They went through their junior high years together, before she left soon after.
And once again, he was alone. While she left to chase her dreams, he stayed behind to finish his studies and education. It was hard letting her go... as they were more than friends. No one could ever replace her. His one and only friend, his best friend, and the one who he loved.
It was mutual... they had been together for almost a year. But they were just kids, barely understanding the meaning of love. But together they were willing to learn together. And so their lives changed with one another.
But... that happiness didn't last. She dreamed to become an idol, while he wanted to become a music producer. Those two careers could connect together, but it wasn't that easy. While she was scouted and accepted into a company, he continued on his studies.
He supported her 110%, helping her practice and get ready for her auditions. And she passed, becoming one of the contestants on Sixteen, a reality tv show where contestants would compete to win and become part of a group called Twice.
It was heartbreaking... the moment she was eliminated. She cried herself to sleep, knowing that all his effort was for nothing. She destroyed their relationship for this moment, only to waste it. He called her, over and over again. Text message after text message. But she never answered...
When it was revealed that she had been an exception and was being brought back to join the winners, that was the one happiest days of her life.
But still... no reply.... He only wished her happiness and congratulated her, still sending messages, having hope still in them.
Present Day
(Y/n) was on his way to success. Having been hired by JYP, as an music producer. He was going live his new life in Seoul. His family gave him their support and love while he left. Knowing he was definitely going to be more lost without them.
Funny thing was he bought a ticket to arrive in Korea long before being hired. He had preordered a ticket to a Kpop concert. He didn't really know them, but he figured it would be a nice experience. His friends were really into them, so he figured to make them jealous he would go to their concert. Better yet, he got his hands on a backstage or VIP ticket. After being hired and his company realizing he was going to the very group that he was going to be producing for.
He had never been to a concert before, and it was overwhelming. The crowds and energy that was around him. It was an amazing experience, however during the performances, he was unable to pay much attention.
Someone on that stage caught his eyes. She was stunning, the way she danced, she was amazing. Smiling every second with each word that came out of her mouth. That beautiful voice, the way she moved her body, she was just like her... it couldn't be her, could it?
No of course not, he wasn't living in a drama. This sort of thing doesn't happen in real life. Besides... she probably forgot about him anyways. It's best if it wasn't her.
""Stay by my side..." The song finished as the crowd only cheered louder. As the idols thanked their fans for coming it began to end. While the final moments played out, (Y/n) made his way around to the back.
He came upon a pair of guards who of course would stop him. Before they even said anything he pulled out his pass, not just his ticket, but his job badge. They let him pass, as he made his way into the back. As he approached he could hear the sound of laughter, the source coming from the girls who he would soon be working with.
He rounded the corner, colliding with someone. He had bumped into a girl, knocking her onto her rear. Immediately offering a hand and words of forgiveness. Not having realized he just spoke in Japanese to someone in Korea.
(Alright lets just say that "you're" talking in these certain languages. If I were to go all out none of you would understand)
She took his hand and he pulled her up. He apologized again, showing his ethnicity even more when he bowed.
"I don't recognize you, you're not one of our staffs. Why are you back here?" She asked. Having realized his mistake earlier, he spoke in Korean this time. Pulling out his ticket showing the vip pass.
"I was on my way to meet your group. After all, this is what this ticket's for." She let out a laugh from hearing his response.
"So you're the lucky winner huh? Well, come on then!" She grabbed his hand dragged him along with her. Reuniting with her group and showing off her new found soon to be friend.
"I've found our winner everyone!" She said happily. Her energy was overwhelming, in a good way.
"He looks good... maybe I'll give him a different reward." One of them said, smirking with seductive eyes.
(Good luck guessing with my horrible descriptions)
Before she could say anything else another one of her member's covered her mouth. One stepped up, her beauty shining like a goddess. It could be seen that she had leadership in this group.
"Ignore what she just said, she was just messing around. But in any case, you're the lucky winner. I'm sure you'd like to know what your reward is."
"Me!" A muffled vice said, coming from the same girl before.
"Why don't we talk somewhere more private? This was meant just for you after all." The assumed leader said.
He nodded, following them as they led him into one of their rooms. Closing and locking the doors before all taking a seat. It was quiet for a second as he was able to take a better look at all of them.
"Unnie, I'm sure he would like autographs! Why didn't we do that right away?!" One of them said, before running off to grabbing a pen.
While this happened, (Y/n) could only watch and sit there in embarrassment. Unlike anyone else, who would be able to name them all on the spot, he had no clue of who was who. Not even the slightest knowledge of their names.
"I'm sorry, but would it be alright if we did introductions?"
"Of course, but I'm sure you already know us." He let out a laugh, slightly shaking his head.
"Please don't take this the wrong way, but I... don't really know any of you. I'm not a big Kpop fan, so I never got around to becoming one of those crazy fans. But I would be lying if I said I didn't love your music."
"Well then, we're happy to welcome you on becoming a ONCE. I guess I'll go first, I am Park Jihyo, the leader of Twice.
"Me next! I'm Im Nayeon!" She shouted, her hand up in the air, while her bright smile shined.
"Sup, I'm Yoo Jeongyeon." Said the one with short hair, her tom boyish aspects being shown.
"I'm Son Chaeyoung." As the all began to jump in one after another.
"Hi, I'm Myoui Mina." She said, her voice soft and quiet. Very different from how she was on stage just a bit ago.
"I'm Chou Tzuyu." Quiet just like Mina, but in a cute way.
"Congratulations on becoming a ONCE, I'm Kim Dahyun." She said, cheerful just like Nayeon.
"Hey there handsome, I'm Minatozaki Sana." She said, giving him the same look from before.
It went quiet as he made eye contact with the last person. The one who he thought seemed familiar. The one who looked like the girl he once fell in love with. She had her eyes on him, fidgeting with the pen in her hand.
"Pabo! It's your turn." Tzuyu said, snapping her out of her thoughts.
"Ah, sorry about that. It's nice to meet you, I'm... Hirai—" She was about to say before a knock was heard at the door. Jihyo walked over and opened it. In came the owner of their company, he looked right at (Y/n), smiling as things went according to his plan.
"I've seen you've already met him. Sorry I wasn't able to tell you girls sooner. I've found you a new producer. He's new and a beginner, but the best I've seen in a very long time. Please take time to get to know him better, it'll help all of us." He said, before waving goodbye and leaving.
As the door shut and everyone settled back down, (Y/n) sat in silence. Shocked and in awe, as he heard her last name. Hirai... sure it could be a coincidence, but what if it really was her.
"So... you're our new producer? Why didn't you bring that up sooner?!" Nayeon asked.
"I figured I would reveal that after, but this works too." He said, snapping out of his own thoughts. He stood up, pushing his chair back. "I guess it's my turn. Nice to meet all of you, my name is (Y/n) (L/n). I look forward to working with all of you." He finished with a bow.
"You're Japanese? Even better for me." Sana said quietly to herself, even though everyone heard her.
(Y/n) let out a laugh, before his eyes went back onto the one person who still hasn't introduced herself. There was no mistaking it now, it was her. The look on her face when he said his name, she must have realized it too.
All she wanted to do right now was to jump into his arms and hold him close. She never thought she would see him again. Not after what she did, after leaving him. They were no longer together, yet she wanted him to take her into his arms and love her again. To hold her and make every problem go away.
"It's been a long time hasn't it... Momo?" He said. Within a second timespan, a blur shot passed the girls and threw itself at (Y/n). He stumbled backwards a few steps as the new weight pushed him back.
Her arms tightly closed around his neck, while her legs wrapped themselves around his waist. Her face dug into his neck, as her batch of new fresh tears made their way out, staining his shirt wet. The members watched in silence, witnessing this beautiful scene before them.
"I guess an explanation would be needed right about now right?" He joked, as they all nodded their heads at him. Momo's hold didn't loosen, as he tried to get into a more comfortable position to speak.
"Momo and I went to Junior High together, back in Japan. We became the best of friends in an instant. We had so much fun together as we approached High school, but that was when she was scouted by JYP. We lost contact after she came here, and I'm sure you know the rest. Here she is, apart of one of the best groups in the world."
"I never thought I would see her again, yet here she is, as beautiful as ever. I'm happy I came to this concert, even more now that I'm going to be producing music with you girls. I'm looking forward to hear you sing everyday."
They talked some more before preparing to leave as the concert had completely ended and was emptied. (Y/n) was planning on renting out a motel for the night but they suggested him spending the night at their place. It's not like he had much of a choice. Momo has fallen asleep while holding onto him. So he had no choice but to take their offer.
During the drive the members were able to talk with him more, learning about his past with Momo. Momo slept in his lap while he slowly brushed her hair out of the way of her face. But the most important one was questioning their relationship. Sana being the one who asked, having taken an interest in him.
"So... (Y/n), what is Momo to you?" Sana asked. A few of her members scolded her for asking, while some were intrigued on his answer.
"She's my best friend, someone who I can't imagine living without with. I'm glad she spent her time with an idiot like me." He answered.
"We get that, but how do you... feel about her...?" Dahyun asked, joining in with Sana's curiosity.
"I love her."
Silence, as some of their mouths dropped at his answer, while some squealed with happiness, sailing their ships.
"She... never talked about me huh...?"
"I'm sure if she were to tell me... I would remember." Mina said.
"It's okay... I guess it's a good thing that she forgot about me. I was just an idiot who was holding her back." He finished with a fake laugh.
"Do you... want to talk about it...?" Mina asked. He gave a faint smile, nodding his head. "What happened between you two...?"
"We were merely together for a year. She was scouted and auditioned to become an contestant for Sixteen. I supported her all the way, even to the point of when she was eliminated. Everyday and night I called and texted... but she never said anything back. I knew she was hurting on the inside, and I know that I wasn't there for her. When she was announced as a winner and an exception, I never saw her smile so bright before. I continued to call, but again she never answered me. I understood it well, well enough to know that I've done my job and it was time for me to disappear."
"Yet... here I am, back with her in my arms when I said I wouldn't become a bother to her anymore."
"Momo's such a Pabo... having someone like you by her side. I'd give to have someone that loving and caring." Nayeon said.
"You really loved her, didn't you?" Jeongyeon stated. A smile formed on his lips as he caressed her face.
"I don't know if it was one sided, or in fact I don't really care. I'm glad I met her. I'm happy I was able to have her as mine... for a while."
"And what about now?" Mina asked. Knowing what she meant, he took a minute to think before answering.
"Let's just call ourselves friends or coworkers. I can't see it... and I don't plan on asking for her heart again." He said. Mina was about to speak again but he spoke before she did. "It doesn't mean my love was a lie. I never stopped, I loved her and I still love her."
Their car came to a stop, one by one they got out and went inside. (Y/n) carried Momo to her room laying her in bed before coming back out into the living room. Many of the other members went off to clean themselves and rest, while a few were in the living room.
(Y/n) stepped outside into the cold air, taking a seat on the porch. It was so calm and quiet, just like home. His breath turned into fog as it came out of his mouth. Suddenly the door opened behind him, revealing a very poorly dressed Sana. Shorts and a small tank top, revealing her stomach. She took a seat right beside him, neither of them saying a word.
(Y/n) took his coat off, wrapping it around her as she began to shiver. "You don't have to stay out here with me. It's been a long day for you girls, it's best to get some rest."
"No it's fine. It feels nice being out here. So relaxing, especially after a nice warm shower." She said, brushing her hair off the the side, as if it was a scene from a movie.
"I'm guessing you want to ask me something?" He said, turning to her. A smile formed on her lips.
"Were you telling the truth when you said you had no intentions of getting back together with Momo?" She questioned. His eyes diverted as he took one deep breath and letting it out seeing the smoke come from his mouth.
"I'd give anything to have her again. It would make me the happiest man on earth again. But... I don't want to hurt her again. So I'll watch her form the sidelines, and support her for the rest of my life."
"You make it seem as if everything was your fault. When you clearly didn't do anything wrong. Momo was the one who cut you off, she was the one who ended the relationship. Yet here you are blaming yourself for everything little detail. Why is that?"
"I should've been there when she was eliminated. I should've came to bring her home, but instead I couldn't do anything but watch as she cried by herself. Now she spent her years without me. The one who was supposed to be by her side at every moment."
"You're blaming yourself for things that weren't of your causing! All of those things you stated, you had no control of being able to take responsibility. None of this was your fault yet you're the one who's willing to take the blame?!"
"It's not right for you to be like this. You don't deserve any form of this guilt that you've placed onto yourself. If anything it's Momo who should be apologizing to you."
"I can't have her doing that. I'll gladly take this blame to ensure that she stays happy."
"You really love her don't you...?"
"I do, and I'm sure I've made it very clear."
" You're a good guy (Y/n)... but you need to face reality more. Stop blaming yourself and let someone else take that responsibility. Momo wouldn't like it if she knew you were blaming yourself. Trust me... I know she wouldn't hesitate to yell and hit you for being such an Pabo. So please look on the brighter side, and into the future."
"Thank you Sana... I'm glad Momo was able meet such amazing people like you. I'm happy she wasn't alone all these years. While I thought she was alone and suffering, she had all of you to help her. I wish I could've came sooner to meet all of you. I'm looking forward to getting to know you better Sana."
"If it makes you feel any better, most of us ship you with Momorin. I'm sure she would love to have you again as well. She wouldn't have cried herself to sleep in your arms if she didn't." Sana stood up and wrapped herself tighter with his coat, taking a deep breath, taking in his scent.
"Well, I guess you should know that we do have a dating ban here at JYP. But it's ending this year, so who knows maybe you and Momo will get back together. And if not, then I'm here too." She said, finishing with a smirk. "I'll hold onto this for now." She said running off laughing with his coat.
(Y/n) came back inside, deciding it was time to call it a night. All the lights were already off, making his way into Momo's room to check up on her one last time. He used his phone as a light source, making sure he didn't trip over anything or bump into something.
He slowly opened the door, shutting it behind him. He made his way over to her bed, taking a seat at the foot of the bed. He pulled the covers back a little to reveal a layer of pillows instead of Momo. A faint sound cane behind him before he was knocked onto the bed, a new force of weight holding him down.
Momo sat atop of him as he realized it was her. She leaned down and wrapped her arms around him. Her head resting against his chest, listening to his heartbeat.
"Momo..." He managed to say her name before she shushed him with her finger.
"I heard enough... so let me talk from here on." She said, before sitting back up. She refused to get off of him despite him asking her to.
"I was listening... to you and Sana. I-I'm sorry for what I did (Y/n)... I never meant to hurt you. I didn't know you would've felt that way. I hoped that you would've just forgotten about me and moved on... but you didn't."
"When I lost... my world began to shatter. Then you tried to contact me... I wanted to answer, I wanted to hear your voice... but I couldn't. I was so ashamed and embarrassed. All of your hard work of helping me was wasted. I know how much you hated dancing... *laughs*, but you practiced with me anyways."
"I should've answered you... all those times. Even when I won I couldn't bring myself to call you. I was such an idiot... baka, pabo."
"I thought it was best that you would move on, no matter how much I loved you, and I know how much you've always loved me. I never thought I would see you again... but here you are, my new producer *laughs*. It's like a dream come true... one of those dramas."
"I should've—" He began but she cut him off with her lips. His eyes widened at her actions. Her hands cupped his cheek, deepening the kiss. Oh how she yearned for this moment the second she saw him again.
She separated from his lips, leaving a string of saliva connecting between them. Shoving her face into his neck before planting several soft gentle kisses. Her hands intertwined with his, just like how they used to do. However... they aren't together anymore. This isn't allowed...
"Momo stop... we can't do this. You know we can't, for the sake of your career. And this isn't right for us... we're not together anymore..."
She pulled back immediately hearing his words. "But I thought you still loved me...? You said it yourself, so why is this wrong?"
"Because we aren't lovers anymore. It's true, I still love you, and you've made it clear that you still feel the same. But you know the rules... the dating ban is still active. If word gets out, think about what'll happen to your future."
"If I have you then I'll risk anything. I just need you (Y/n). I don't care about that rule, it'll end soon anyways, what's the point if we start now?"
"You sacrificed your love for me to get this far, don't let your love for me become your downfall." He said, his hand cupping her cheek.
"I would happily have you as mine again, but for your sake, let's not do anything like before. Not until that rule is gone, and until I am able to see our future once again."
"You're right (Y/n)... sorry I'm such an pabo." She said.
"You're my baka, don't be sorry."
They held onto each other as they began to drift into sleep. She laid on top of him, her hold as strong as a bear. With smiles on each other's faces.
Their new life begins here. As friends, coworkers, and soon to be lovers again. She won't let go this time, she won't leave, she won't give up on him, just like how he never did.
So just a small heads up, these stories were imported from my other book. I just kinda figured they would be better off being separated from the others since it's Kpop with anime in my other book.
