Woosan *Ateez*
"Surely my popsicles will be ready." Wooyoung said. He opened the freezer, hoping and expecting his popsicles to be set. Pulling out the popsicle mold, Wooyoung inspected them, giving a nod of approval.
"Cravings again?" San spoke.
Wooyoung jumped, then turned around "Blame your daughter San."
"Are they the pickle popsicles again?"
Wooyoung nodded. "I was told my expecting husband would get cravings, but nobody told me that he would be making pickle popsicles from the pickle juice." San explained. Wooyoung scrunched his nose "She wants the pickles. I oblige her demands."
San smiled at Wooyoung "I know you do. Thank you for this." His hand lowered to the bump that Wooyoung was supporting. "You are home later than you said. What kept you?"
San rubbed his face "Seonghwa cornered me showing me photos of his twins..cute as they are, our daughter will be cuter." Wooyoung laughed out loud "Hyungs twins are adorable! They look exactly like he does." Wooyoung added.
"And Yunho's wife is almost full term."
"We are a dad group now Sannie." Wooyoung teased. "We are all waiting on Mingi to make the announcement, though we know his wife is expecting too."
Wooyoung pointed his popsicle at San "Now all that remains is Yeosang and Jongho."
"No, remember, Yeosang made the announcement last week."
"Yes, right." San remembered.
"Do you think they meet their significant others snacking on pickle popsicles?" Wooyoung questioned.
"No, only me baby." San winked. "But no come on, I am tired, and in need of snuggles." Wooyoung yawned, also suddenly feeling tired. He tossed the popsicle mold into the sink "You ate six popsicles!" San exclaimed. "We did. And we will want more in the morning. Come on, we now want snuggles." San followed his husband to their bedroom, ready for snuggles.
It happened like clockwork:
"Have I gotten bigger since yesterday!" Huffed Wooyoung.
"What now?" San slures. "Its midnight." Wooyoung replied. "I guess it is feeding time. Do you need help?"
"I do not want to answer, let's say it would be better if you did help me up though San." Wooyoung replied.
San grips Wooyoung by his wrists, lifting him to his feet "Thanks." Wooyoung expressed.
San turned on the kitchen lights "What does she want tonight?"
"I'm not sure." Wooyoung confessed "Let me check the fridge." Wooyoung stood at the fridge, peering inside.
In the meantime, San found donuts.
"What are you eating?" Wooyoung questioned. "Glazed donuts." San mentioned. "Okay! I know what I want Sannie." Wooyoung pulled out the egg carton "Fried eggs on top of my donuts." San blinked, then again "Okay. Here let me fry your egg. How many?" "Two." Wooyoung answered, putting up two fingers.
"Okay, go sit down. Your food will be ready in a couple of minutes." San gently nudged Wooyoung towards the chair. "I can help." Whined Wooyoung. "Okay you can help."
Wooyoung stood next to San, which was more of a hassle, not that he would tell Wooyoung that.
"All done." San announced. He plated the food on the table for Wooyoung.
As Wooyoung ate, San made food for himself, fried eggs minus the donuts.
"How is your food?"
"It was nice, thank you."
San noticed Wooyoung's plate was empty.
Silently, San slides his plate to Wooyoung.
"We are appreciative Sannie." Wooyoung cheered.
San wanted those eggs.
"You are welcome, baby."
The following morning, San returned home after running errands "Whose car is parked here?" He asked. Walking into the kitchen, "Hello, San."
"Hi, Sannie."
"Hyung...Yunho, what..is going on?"
"It is called pregnancy hunger." Wooyoung answered. "I..um-"
San looked to Yunho who shook his head "Okay. Do you two need anything? Hyung and I will get it for you."
Yunho raised his eyebrow "Excuse me?" He whispered.
"We are having a drink." San explained. "I know you have been craving hummus. How does that sound?"
Both nod approvingly.
"No, you will forever be getting Wooyoung cravings." Yunho said. "Even if they take one bite."
San drinks the remainder of his beer "Wooyoung will break the bank once she is born." Yunho laughed out loud "You will be fine. Should we go get their hummus?"
"Such doting husbands we are Hyung."
"Where are these crumbs coming from!" San raged. He gets out of bed to dust the crumbs off his pajamas. A
Wooyoung bites into his toast.
"Its you!" San turned. "I'm sorry!" Wooyoung put his plate on his nightstand. He rolled over so his back faced San. San inhaled, then exhaled. He left the room, returning with their handheld vaccum. San suctioned the crumbs, including the ones left by Wooyoung.
"I am sorry Wooyoung." San apologized.
Wooyoung turned back around to look at San "I'm sorry too Sannie."
San wipes crumbs off of Wooyoungs bump "Let's get sleep."
"Is she keeping you awake tonight?" San questioned. He stood behind Wooyoung with his arms snaked around his bump "No, for once its not her." Wooyoung laughed. "Then why are you awake?"
"The moon is really bright tonight." Wooyoung explained "It is keeping me awake."
San kisses Wooyoungs neck "How about a midnight drive?
"We would like that very much." Wooyoung agreed.
"That is the shop we would go to when we were trainees, do you remember? We were young."
San smiles at him "And were unaware of what would happen in the future."
"I knew Ateez was our future." Wooyoung confirmed.
"I always believed in Ateez. We were special."
"Do you know what I want...guacamole and French fries." San commented.
"Us too." Wooyoung agreed.
San parked the car somewhere remote, the only sound was of the faint music.
Wooyoung laid his food on top of his bump
"Do you think about how we are going to change once we are parents Sannie?" Wooyoung wondered.
"I have,yes. Have you?"
"Countless amount of times. I am sometimes frightened." Wooyoung confessed. "As am I." San offered "This is the unknown for us."
"It does feel better to look over and see you next to me." Wooyoung adds. San kisses Wooyoung on the cheek "Even if I am faking like I know what I am doing, you can always look over and know that I am there. Okay? I will always be there." San fed Wooyoung one of his French fries "I am getting full." Wooyoung said.
San giggled as Wooyoung lowered his waistband underneath his bump "I ate too much." Wooyoung whined.
He reached his hand out towards Wooyoung's bump, giving it a rub "Have you had your fill baby?"
"She has." Wooyoung yawned "Can we go back home San? I'm tired."
San tucked Wooyoung into bed. He curls in front of him, or as close as his bump allows.
In the morning, San finds Wooyoung in the kitchen with a spoon of cottage cheese and sliced pears to the side "Morning." San spoke. Wooyoung waved at him "I started your tea for you. It should still be warm Sannie."
"Thanks baby." San retrieves his tea, and sits down next to Wooyoung "No pickle popsicles today?"
"Not at this moment." Wooyoung replied "This is what we wanted to eat today for breakfast." San scooted closer to Wooyoung "Good morning princess." He runs his hand over the developed bump. Both smile as she kicks back in return "Are you a happy baby, eating your peaches and cream cheese? I know that you are. Continue eating well princess. We will not stop giving you food." San whispers.
"I do not know if I am eating too much or if I do not have the room to eat." Wooyoung says. He pushes himself back from the table "I am full, my belly cannot eat another thing."
"Hyungs!" Jongho announces himself "I have something for Wooyoung!" Their maknae wonders into the kitchen holding something.
"What do you have for me?" Wooyoung questioned. "I understand your desire for pickles-" He began "Apparently, expecting people enjoy pickles on top of Resse's peanut butter cups!" Jongho appeared the concoction. Wooyoung accepted. "Did you not just say your belly was full baby?" San raised an eyebrow at him.
"For food." Wooyoung said "But candy is different." He explained. San remained silent, watching the two.
"I have a new craving Sannie." Wooyoung mentioned. San nodded, preparing himself for a new addition to the late night craving list of Wooyoung.
"I will add those to my shopping list for later." San reminded. Wooyoung shoots San a smile before eating another.
"Okay Woo, I have my list. Is there anything else you want me to add?" San sits down next to Wooyoung, who rests his head on San's shoulder "I want to go with you." Wooyoung commented. "Woo." San sighed "It would be easier for you to go alone, I understand." Wooyoung finished. San kisses Wooyoung's cheek "You can come along. I worry about you, that's all."
"But you are with us San! We are well protected. Please can we come?"
San exhaled "Of course."
Wooyoung clapped his hands "Thank you! Come on, I want chicken San."
San watches as Wooyoung balances himself against a wall so he can wear his shoes "Need help baby boy?"
Wooyoung pouts "Yes, I do." San helps Wooyoung put on his shoes "There you go."
"Thank you! Come on, we are wasting time that I could be fulfilling my cravings Sannie."
"Right behind you baby."
The cashier smiled kindly at Wooyoung who stood there rubbing his bump. San gave a smile to her, which she returned.
"Sannie, princess is kicking. Feel." Wooyoung whispered. San turned to face the younger. His hand met against Wooyoung's bump "Well princess is excited. She must know her dad's have her favorite foods."
"Yes she does." Wooyoung nodded.
San turned back to look at the cashier. He removed his card, and bagged his food into the cart "Thanks." He said.
Wooyoung carried the bag that contained his pickles..leaving San to carry in the rest.
"Priorities." San spoke.
"I am carrying more than you." Wooyoung defended "I also have this." Wooyoung pointed at his bump "Your argument has nothing on me San."
"Fair. Sit down while I unload."
"But I am hungry."
San smiled, as he pulled out pickle popsicles.
