88.Mingyu (Seventeen)
I took a deep breath and walked into my parents room where they were sitting on the bed watching tv. "Mom, dad, um, I can have a friend come over?" I asked. They both looked up from the tv. "What friend? You don't have friends." My mom and dad laughed and I rolled my eyes. "Haha. His name is Mingyu." "Mingyu? A boy?" I nodded. My mom smiled. "Is he your boyfriend?" I blushed. "What? No, he's just a friend from school." My dad pretended he didn't care but I could tell he was listening intently. My mom smirked and looked back at the tv. "Sure, your friend can come over. Wait!" She looked at my dad. "We gave to get dressed! We don't want to embarrass our daughter by looking like bums, now do we?" She smacked his leg and got up. "Go on, invite him over, tell your sister to straighten up the living room." I just nodded in response and walked to my younger sister Yeri's room. "Mom said to clean he the living room." I said. "Why can't you do it?" "Because mom told me to tell you to do it." She scoffed. "It's not like you're crippled." She mumbled. "Just do it. I have something else to do." She sighed and I went to my room and closed the door. Mingyu and I hang out all the time at school and outside of school with other friends, but never alone let alone at my house. I've always liked Mingyu and becoming friends was the best way to get close to him. I told him that I get bored at home on the weekends and I didn't feel like going anywhere so he suggested that he come over. Yes, this is what happened: "Ugh, want am I gonna do tomorrow?" I asked, resting my head on the desk. "Tomorrow is Saturday. Just do what you normally do." Mingyu said. "But I don't wanna go anywhere. It's supposed to rain tomorrow." "Do you wanna hang out?" "Yeah, but I don't wanna leave the house." I said laughing. "Well since you love hanging out with me so much," He said cockily. "I'll just go to your house." I sat up. "But you've never been to my house." I said. "There's a first time for everything." "But-" "Then it's settled. I'm coming over tomorrow." "But-" He stood up. "No butts!" He pointed to his butt and I smacked it. "(Y/n)!" He said dramatically. "How dare you! I am disgusted." I laughed as he pulled a face. Back to present time, my heart started beating faster than usual. I don't know why I was so nervous. I picked up my phone and sent Mingyu a quick text then threw my phone on my bed. I looked around and frantically cleaned my room. When I was satisfied, I dusted my hands off and heard the doorbell. "I'll get it!" Yeri yelled. I ran to the front door. "No!" I yelled. And froze in place and looked at me. "I'll-I'll get it. You don't worry your pretty little head about it. You cleaned the living room, such hard work. You go rest." I said. She gave me a weird look and hesitantly walked away. I took a deep breath and open the door. "(Y/n)!" Mingyu greeted me happily. "I knew I heard a knock!" My mom came out and stood next to me. "Hi, you must be Mingyu. (Y/n) talks so much about you." My mouth hung open and I looked at her. "No I-" "Well don't leave your company outside. Come on in Mingyu." He smiled and came inside. "It's nice to meet you (y/n)'s mom. I brought you something." Mingyu reached into the plastic bag he was holding and took out a box of green tea. "Oh Mingyu! Thank you, I love green tea. (Y/n), where did you find such a fine young man?" My mom asked me. I gave her the "really mom?" look and she pat my head. "Alright, I'll leave. Let me know soon what you want for dinner." "Will do!" Mingyu said. As my mom left the room, I heard someone else coming. "Oh, so that's why you didn't want me to answer the door." Yeri said smirking. I motioned for her to go away but she walked closer. "Hi, I'm (y/n)'s younger, cuter, sister Yeri." She said, waving. "And you are?" "Mingyu. I'm (y/n)'s friend." He replied. "Oh, her friend? Aren't you a little too cute to be just her friend?" "Yeri! C-Can you just...not? Can you go now? Thanks." Mingyu blushed and smiled sheepishly. "Ask (y/n) that." He said, looking at me. My heart skipped a beat and I shifted uncomfortably. "Aw, (y/n)'s in love!" Yeri yelled. "Go away!" I yelled, my face hot. Mingyu looked amused and laughed. "Better take him before I do!" She called as she went back to her room. "Is she always that straight forward?" Mingyu asked. "Only when there's cute guys around." I mumbled, not realizing what I said. "You think I'm cute?" He asked. Crap. "Um, well I mean you're not ugly." I wanted to walk off the fce of the earth. He smiled and looked down at the bag he had. "I brought us some snacks." He said. "I got your favorite candy." He said in a sing-song voice. "Gimme!" We went up to my room, leaving the door open, on father's orders of course, at least they went downstairs to give up a little privacy, and layed on my floor. Mingyu was on his stomach and I was sitting cross-legged across from him. "Truth or dare?" He asked me. Knowing Mingyu, he would make me do something stupid. "Truth." "Alright. Do you think I'm cute?" He asked. "I already told you you're not ugly." I said, trying to laugh it off. "No, tell me directly." He said. "Fine, yes you're cute." I mumbled. "Truth or dare?" I asked quickly after. "Truth." "Do you think I'm cute?" I asked, half joking. "No." "Hey!" I threw a pillow at him and he laughed. "I said no because I think you're beautiful." He said genuinely, a small smile on his face. I blushed and furrowed my eyebrows. "Be quiet." I mumbled. "Truth or dare?" He asked. To avoid being asked any more questions, I picked dare. "I dare you to close your eyes." He said. "Why?" "Just do it." I shrugged and closed my eyes. I heard shuffling and a second later, I felt something on my lips. My eyes shot open and I saw a close up of Mingyu's face in front of mine. His eyes were closed and his hand was on my cheek. I slowly closed my eyes and kissed back. A second later he pulled away. "W-What was that?" I asked. "Well, we both think each other is cute, so I decided to do something about it." He said, shrugging. "What's that supposed to mean?" "It means I like you and I want to take you on a date." He said. I smiled and looked down. "Hmm, I'll have to think about it. "You better say yes!" I heard Yeri yell. She then poked her head around the door frame. "Or I'll take him for myself." She wiggled her eye brows. I threw the pillow at her and she fell. "Well what do you say?" He asked. "Fine. Yes." I tried to hide my smile but it showed anyway. Mingyu smiled and took my hand. "Come on." "Where are we going?" I asked. "I'm taking you out to dinner." He said. I looked at him. "Yes, as a date."
