"As you all know, the chairman needs a new manager for group A in the marketing division since the last manager, unfortunately, had to quit due to personal circumstances. I called a board meeting to announce who he wants as the new manager." Your group leader said. Right now, you work in the financing division of a huge television network. You're fine with your job now, but getting the promotion meant more money, but also more responsibility. "The reason I called just this group and not the others is because he wants someone from this group. The chairman believes that this person is loyal, responsible, and certainly capable to take on such a position. That person is-" "No need to announce it, I'm pretty sure we all know who it is." Leeteuk said, standing up. Leeteuk is one of your co-worker's who you've worked with for the past 2 years. He can be really inconsiderate and full of himself. Every since you started working there, he's been very obnoxious and rude towards you and he gets on your nerves. But because he is so handsome, you put up with him. "Really? You already knew?" Leeteuk is the chairman's nephew?!' "Leeteuk, I don't think you're ready to be a manager yet." You smirked and Leeteuk was about to speak but the Chairman spoke again. "On second thought, if you really want to be a manager, I'll have (y/n) take you under her wing so you can learn the ropes and maybe I'll make you manager of another group." "What?!" You and Leeteuk said in unison. "Do you not like my decision?" The chairman smiled, he was well aware of the feud between you two. "No, I thinks that's a great idea." Leeteuk said. "Good. (Y/n), from now on, Leeteuk will stay by your side and be your assistant-" "Assistant?! You mean like run her errands?" Leeteuk asked. "Yes. Anyways, understood, (y/n)?" "Yes, Chairman Yoo." "Good, you start tomorrow, you're dismissed." You and Leeteuk walked out of the office. "I can't believe the chairman is making me work for you." Leeteuk said. "Oh boo hoo. Start acting like an adult, you child." You said. He scoffed. "Excuse me?" "You heard me." "You think you're better than me because you got the promotion?" "No because I'm not a child like you. Now if you will excuse me, I'll be on my way now." You left Leeteuk dumbfounded. When you came into work the next day, Leeteuk was already in your new office. "Good morning, assistant." You said. He was silent. "I said good morning, assistant." You said louder. He put on a fake smile. "Good morning manager." "For your first task, go get me a cup of coffee so we can get started." You said. He scoffed. "Get your own coffee." "Ahem. That's what assistants are for." The chairman was in the doorway. Leeteuk rolled his eyes and went to get coffee. "I see you're having fun already (y/n)." The chairman said. "Yes, yes I am." Throughout the day, you took advantage of Leeteuk and he was not happy. When the day was over, you both packed up your stuff to go home and got on the elevator. You sighed. "It's only been one day and I realized how hard it is to be a manger." You said. Leeteuk was only doing you small favors while you were on your feet half the time and in a chair doing paper work the other half. You closed your eyes and tilted your head to the left to get rid of the kink in your neck. Suddenly, you felt hands on the base of your neck. "Leeteuk, what are you-" You trailed off as he started massaging your neck and shoulders. "I would hit you but it feels too good." You said. "Why are you doing this?" You asked. "Because you look like you needed it. And now you know why I didn't want you to have the manager position." He said. "What do you mean?" "Was I upset that I didn't get the position? Of course. But I was even more upset that you got it. Not because I don't like you, it's because being a manager is hard work and I didn't want you to be tired out all the time." He said. The elevator stopped and you you got off. "Since when do you care about me?" You said. "Since you started working here. I liked to give you a hard time because the way you reacted was cute." He said, smiling. "Cute?" "Yes, do you want to go out to dinner with me this weekend?" "Why?" "Fine, I can always ask that new girl in productions-" "No, no, I'll go to dinner with you." "Great, I look forward to working with you from now on." He said, winking as he walked away.
